Firstly a ‘cupcake’ shaped filtre which allows for a more even flow of water over the coffee grounds, delivering a smoother taste, unlike a traditional cone filtre which can over-extract the coffee in the narrowest part of the filtre, resulting in a bitter taste.
Secondly, the specifically adapted brewing process which mirrors the manual methods used by baristas. This process initially delivers a small volume of water over the grounds and allows the coffee a few minutes to ‘bloom’ (releases carbon dioxide and extracts the flavours), before dispensing the rest of the water.
This machine also comes with a programmable timer which allows you to wake up to fresh coffee every morning, plus an adjustable coffee strength selector so you can tailor the flavour intensity to your taste. It came, it smelled of plastic. I brewed bicarbonate of soda which improved it enormously. It’s a good machine though. It holds a good amount of coffee, the timer function is brilliant and it’s clear and easy to operate. Very easy to clean.
Arrived in good time.
Coffee maker looks good and makes excellent coffee at whatever strength required.
Although I think timers are a necessity, I would have preferred a longer timer function but easy to switch back on. I like this product very much
This was purchased to replace an earlier version. That has worked well for five years, so it was a no brainer to get the current version as a replacement.
This is an identical model to the one being replaced. It’s a reasonably compact size and the previous one gave sterling service for 6 years. In some parts of the country it would probably last longer, but where I live the water is very hard.
The timer functions are easy to set up, as are the strength and clock functions. Lovely square design. The filter compartment is easy to clean as well
This coffee maker is so easy to use. I’ve had a ” vintage ” one before, what a faff. But this one is Brilliant. Keep warm function with a countdown timer… easy to clean, good quality…

Makes great coffee, and I particularly like the timer function. Set it all up in the evening and wake up to freshly brewed coffee waiting for me..and that lovely smell coming from the kitchen.
Easy to operate and to clea
Unfortunately the spout on the glass jug chipped off on first washing. Not what I expected quality wise. Other than that a good and neat looking filter coffee maker.
Makes good coffee . Minor points to note , only 25 minutes keep warm ( but stays warm for about 10 minutes afterwards ) . 12 hour clock can be confusing when setting the timer . I can recommend it .
Never had a coffee Peculator before. Lavazza Coffee tastes Amazing the smell of coffee through the house is nice.

This machine looks good and produces good coffee. I didn’t find it very easy to set up initially, navigating through timer and strength settings. I don’t bother with the timer but do set the strength to maximum to get a decent coffee. I can fill the reservoir easily from a kettle or jug – on my previous coffee maker, I had to use a funnel to make sure water didn’t spill everywhere. It pours well. Easy to keep clean.
This is our second Morphy Richard coffee-maker after many years of faithful service from the first. Makes good simple filter coffee. Easy to clean.
Would have given this 5 stars if it had a dishwasher proof jug, a removeable water container and a hotplate which stayed on till switched off. Hotplate can be switched on for a furhter 25 minutes, if you’re there to do it, though. Good big jug.
This is a lovely looking machine & makes a great cup of coffee. It’s a replacement for my old Morphy Richards machine which also made a great coffee but no doubt about it this one tastes nicer. Having said that there are a couple of small negatives. First one is the display light. For some reason it goes out after a few seconds making it really difficult to see unless standing up close & I just don’t get that. It’s not as if this is the cheapest machine on the market or anything like it so why they made it like that is beyond mere mortals like me. Second negative is the timer that switches off the hotplate after 25 minutes. That’s fine & dandy if you’re making coffee for everyone not so fine if, like me you want to make a pot at home to last a few hours. Now I’m sure I read in one of the reviews that this is a health & safety thing (isn’t everything these days?) but even so. I’ve got round this by telling alexa to remind me to reheat every 20 minutes or so but this can be a little annoying if you’re busy but c’est la vie & all that. All in all the positives outweigh the negatives & if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee from a great looking machine then you can do far worse than this machine. Recommended
I bought this to replace an “own-brand” model from one of the big supermarkets which had broken on its first use!
This one is of good quality and everything works just fine. It has a timer on it and is dead easy to use. I found it ideal, and it was competitvely priced too.
Second one I’ve brought as old one gave up. Extremely pleased with these the flavour of the coffee is fuller than others I have tried and in my opinion it gives a better cup of coffee. Would highly recommend you try one.
I like this thing – looks good, easy to use, compact, and the timer is a great feature. I like waking up to freshly brewed coffee, and my nightly ritual of setting it up for the next morning is quite enjoyable.

Good machine, looks nice, brews well. Does a little bloom pour first to gas off the CO2, and then a full shower.
Tastes great. Look out for the time function though, especially when the clocks change – this will not automatically change with them, it’s a manual time setting. A few times I thought I’d set the timer but then I didn’t do it properly. Once I RTFM everything was good.

Me and my partner use this and we like a few cups of coffee in the morning but it only keeps it warm for up to 25 minutes. Wouldn’t great if it could increase to an hour.
Super easy to set up and keep clean. All of the elements are really good quality with a good finish.
Easy to set, nice to wake up to warm cup of coffee. Hot plate stays on for 25 mins but you can’t extend it. Nice and smooth design.
bought for work and has gone down well, easy to use and to clean. it saves having to use a filter. only issue i have had is the clock, which is easily altered when setting the timer. coffee is kept warm for a good while afterwards, not that it lasts that long
Been using this daily for about 7 weeks and it has been amazing waking up to fresh coffee every day. Haven’t used the reusable filter but it works flawlessly with paper cupcake filters. Only gripes are that it fills with condensation after use, and it’s not very easy to rinse out. Thought that’s the same for most coffee machines.

Good machine, very easy to use and well designed. I normally prefer my coffee hotter but I don’t have a problem with this really, I’ve started taking my coffee black when using the machine, I find the flavour is much better. All in all this machine is very very good for the price. I use paper filters as well, save the hassle of washing out the basket after every use.
Anniversary gift for hubby he loves it and i do too, very easy to use and clean.
Brews a cracking cup of coffee and does it quickly too. Easy to use and clean and fairly quiet compared to other machines. Keeps the coffee warm for upto 20mins no problems but I would have liked to be able to hit an extension timer to keep it warm for longer.
Good value for money, not very easy to clean but makes a decent cup of coffee
This machine makes lovely smooth coffee. I use a paper filter as it makes cleaning so easy. It looks very smart in my kitchen. I would love it if they made a smaller version!

Very easy to set up, no filters needed, easy to use.
Two things, firstly, good coffee granules in, great coffee out, bad coffee in bad cup out. Secondly, my filter broke after only a month, Amazon got morphs Richards to send a replacement which is working fine. I didn’t want a coffee pod machine for the waste, and now I know what coffee I like this machine is brilliant.

Only flaws-
Won’t stay warm more than 25m due to eu law
Jug is awkward to clean as I don’t believe the lid comes off
It’s hard to fill without spilling water
I also put all parts in the dishwasher w no issues but this isn’t recommended

Pretty decent machine. Fairly simple to use.
The machine gives the option to have three different coffee strengths. I haven’t used this personally as I like a strong coffee anyway. Add the water to the tank, and the ground coffee in to the filter and press go!
There’s a 25 minute keep warm feature which handy too. The machine is easy enough to clean too, just remove the filter and holder and rinse the coffee away after binning majority of the used grounds. You can also add in paper filters to make it easier as well.
All in all its a nice machine that does its job.
Great coffee machine! The only “problem” is that it keeps the coffee warm for just 20 mins. But besides that, all good!

After returned 2 machines a Russel Hobs and a De’Longhi I am delighted with this coffee maker.
Hot coffee, good flavour, 2 years warranty, good quality, it has its own filter although I use it with paper filter size 4, it does not look cheap like others. The carafe has a reinforced handle. Overall a very good coffee maker. (Haven’t tried the timer yet).
Only 2 negative points to mention and this is why I’m giving it 4 stars: only 25 minutes keep warm function,(although I have to say after 40 minutes it’s still hot), for health and safety reasons there isn’t in the market coffee makers with a keep warm function over 40 minutes, and the 2nd point is that after couple of hours of use the ink on the buttons faded away so I have to memorise which buttons are for.
As suggested in one of the reviews I may buy a 1l thermal flask so I can keep my coffee hot for few hours saving on my electric bill.

Very easy to use. Took a couple of turns to learn how I like the strength, how much coffee to add. But so simple to use and super easy to clean which is most important to me.
Bought one of these some years ago. Liked it so much I bought it for a friend who loves fresh coffee in the morning. Easy to use, looks nice, timer function is handy to set the night before an early start, so far so good. My friend uses it daily.

I love this coffee machine. The flavour of the coffee is good without having to put extra coffee in. It has a strength button, so you can decide for yourself how strong you like your drink. It’s great.
Only had for a few days, happy with how it makes coffee, much quieter than my old machine only downside so far is that it’s hard to see how much water you have put in, I tend to fill from the cup(s) I’m using so that I get the right amount of water, there is no way to tell from the outside how much water you have put in, the markers on the inside of the tank are hard to see and water pools on the number indicators if you pour water on the right hand side making it impossible to see what the numbers are unless you dry it off. These are minor niggles in an otherwise good coffee machine for the price.
Like every thing about this coffee maker. Looks good. Easy to use. Had a Krupps coffee maker for years. Couldn’t find one to equal it. Bought a well know department store own brand. Not very good. But this one is as good if not better than the krupps. Coffee nice and hot. Drip free jug. Would definitely recommend it.
Makes a great cup of coffee. Easy to use and clean. Brews in a reasonable time. Best to leave 3 minutes after timer indicates filtering complete to catch the final drops
Best coffee machine ever.. . So good I purchased another one for my parents home. Its so easy to use, cleaning process is simple. I literally only use the on/off function and its so handy not requiring to purchase the filter paper cups.
Used Morphy Richards coffee machines for very long time….this is slightly different shape/style to what I am used to but looks good and doesn’t take up much space….I like good full bodied Java coffee and this made it exactly same taste as the other machines so very happy…for those who were asking ….I also bought “cupcake” shape paper filters on Amazon ……very cheap and can just bin them after every use
This is amazing, programable imagine waking up and your coffe is fresh and proper. It tells the time, it’s got functuons for cleaning, it is looking nice and sleek and please be carefull with its big cup, it seems a little fragile so wash with care.
The amazing and you actually save money buying this product compared to Costa or Starbucks. Brilliant!
This is not the most beautiful machine you have ever seen but what matters is the coffee it produces. I’m giving it top mark’s cannot fault it, you can make it exactly how strong you want that day. The keep warm facility only lasts 20 mins but all you need to do is click it on again if you need to. My Tassimo broke so I bought this and honestly I wouldn’t go back.
I love this, I went for red and it looks great and sturdy,3 settings for strengths of coffee very easy to use and clean, I do use paper cups in mine, you don’t need to, just the same as most people say, the hot plate only stays on for 20 mins, but so do all the rest, EU regs, but don’t let that put you off this great coffee maker.
Delighted with this purchase. The flavour from the coffee is second to none. Timer works to perfection and is so handy. A little awkward to fill and to clean but that’s a minor quibble. Would definitely recommend.
This is a great coffee machine and makes great quality coffee, it certainly tastes better that our old one. It takes the 8-12 cup cupcake type filters which are readily available on amazon, we bought 1,200 of them to keep us going for a while lol.
The most important improvement over the Cookworks one is the spout on the coffee jug doesn’t leak, our old one was terrible and you had to pour really slowly and carefully. With this you can pour as fast as you want and even our most clumsy team member doesn’t spill any. It’s also easy to use and the timer which shows how long it’s been since the coffee’s been brewed is a handy feature.
The only thing that does let this down slightly is that it can be a bit awkward to fill in tight spaces (only reason I gave it 4 stars). Please make sure you have a little room to at least one side. It’s not a major issue but it could be improved and I would still recommend this coffee machine regardless, you won’t be disappointed.
Makes a nice cuppa, timer function is handy but would have preferred the warming plate be on longer. What I would have liked though is a water gauge as at moment its guessing if I remembered to fill it, inside is pitch black so your basically looking for light reflection on water to judge
Compact and stylish machine that is easy to use and produces very good coffee. I haven’t used the timer function, but imagine it would be as straight forward as the other controls.
I have waited a few months to comment on this machine rather than rush into a review but, having used it regularly now, I really like it. The coffee is good. I like the variable strength feature. I have not used the timer function as, so far, I have had no need for it. If I think I will be in a hurry in the morning, I set it up the night before so all I have to do is press the start button.

This coffee machine is easy to use, easy to clean, needs no fussy paper filters, and produces great coffee. I have used it for relatively small amounts, and larger, and results are the same. Nor does it take too long to do the job – certainly not long enough to count the minutes.
