Enjoy Scanning

  1. Prepare two AA batteries for the scanner
  2. Long press for power on
  3. Set the DPI and format for your scanning copy
  4. Put your target(document/photo/receipt/book) on the flat desk
  5. A short press on the ‘scan’ to begin scanning. NOTICE: Please put the scanner on the document before scanning, then press “scan” and slide the scanner through the document. DON’T press the “scan” before putting the scanner on the document.
  6. Slide the scanner through your target, ensure the green light is on and no red light on
  7. Press ‘scan’ to finish scanning
  8. Connect the scanner to your device with a USB to get the file

How to level up to the scanning master?

  1. Available to scan 8.5″ wide and up to 9.8″ high. For example, flexible to scan a book horizontally or vertically, according to the size of the book.
  2. Scanning in a horizontal way would be easier than scanning in a vertical way. If you can’t scan steadily, we suggest you try this way.
  3. Don’t scan too slow/quick. Don’t need to scan in uniform speed. The red error indication light would show if scan too fast. The scanner would stop scanning if scan too slow. *Just scan in a not fast and slow speed, no need for uniform speed.
  4. Don’t press the scanner during scanning. Many novices would try to press the scanner to scan steadily. Use the roller skillfully.

I works perfectly well especially for book pages
I attend and have to report on stamp club meetings. This device is ideal for scanning the individual album pages that are usually displayed, making it possible to illustrate those reports.

The instructions are clear enough except you will need to work out how to open the battery compartment. There are some online videos I found. Just push down and forwards on the curved depressed part of the battery cover and it can be lifted off.

Once you get to grips with it - literally - it's very good indeed!
I ended up buying the 900 dpi model that uses batteries as I’m unlikely to be a heavy user of the scanner. If you are, there’s a USB charging model with 1500dpi maximum resolution which would be more ideal. My only criticism from a personal point of view is the very small LCD screen. I don’t have perfect sight and my fingers are short and stubby so trying to set the date/time etc were impossible but that’s no biggie as it’s not essential to set those in order to start scanning and in that regard, it does a very good job. I’ve not yet tried high resolution scans or photo scans but documents set at 600dpi come out clearly and well.

    This works very well
Nothing to dislike, i needed a product that could scan without taking an item from a very old photobook, where photos had got stuck & unremoveable. Easy to set up & works great.

    Useful piece of ki
The instructions are good and comprehensive. Only two slight reservations. Unless you are very careful when scanning, it can produce a distorted picture and the ‘display’ is very, very small for my old eyes. Also, when transferring the image to my PC it initially produces a ‘write protected’ image, although eventually the protection disappears. Otherwise this is a really useful piece of kit, particularly as the scanner on my printer/scanner only works intermittently. NB I’m unsure what ‘User interface’ refers to!

Would have preferred a pouch in the lid and for the case to be a bit bigger to accommodate the cleaning cloth and USB cord.

Problems scanning the bottom of a page but otherwise a great gadge
When I first received the scanner it kept disconnecting from the computer. It turned out the port was defective on the scanner, but that issue was resolved quickly.
The scanner is quite easy to use.
The only thing that bugs me a little is that even if you scan further than where the page ends it won’t scan the bottom part of the page properly and will keep cutting off the bottom part.
So you will need to trick the scanner into thinking that the page goes on by putting another pager that also has printing on it underneath so that you scan over this too.
Afterwards you can open it in a picture program to crop it so only the page you meant to scan is showing.
Besides that little hiccup, I would say it’s a great gadget for this price.

Portable and can carry in my brief case.
Able to carry in brief case and scan books in library. You need to run down page at a uniform rate. Works well. The scanning is possibly not as good as a mains powered expensive scanner. But its cheap and can go anywhere so I find it a very useful tool for scanning text books and research items in university library.

I had to come back to Amazon page to find instructions. The Calibration Page instructions were partially incorrect. The lights didn't flash as instructions stated. I was able to figure it out. It's not hard, however having to research "How To" made the process more difficult.

    Easy to use
Simply scan then connect to computer with USB (of WIFI) and you will see the scanned images. Copy the image to you computer and do what you will with it. Now that is simple! Quality is great too.

Arrived today well before quoted delivery date…very impressed.
Used this once already just to checkout the quality and reliability of this scanner.
Very easy to setup. Instructions minimal but adequate for setting up the scanner.
Easy to setup to WiFi…straight forward.
Looked at the image I scanned and was pleased.
Packaging second to none as always.
I would recommend this vendor and scanner without a doubt.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAwesome. Does exactly what it says on the ti
I only use this for occasional scanning and have limited desk space so did not want the footprint of a larger flatbed device. Portability was useful but not essential. This device is incredibly easy to set up and use. Once the time is set to timestamp scans (very slightly fiddly, but no problem and not essential), it requires only one button press to work if using default settings. Only a few options are needed (scan resolution of H/M/L, scan format of JPEG or PDF) and then you just need to run the device over the object to scan. The flatter the surface and the smoother the movement of the device the better, but I got perfectly acceptable images the very first time I used it.
On top of that it comes with a 16GB micro SD card included if you don’t want to use a lead. The only thing required is 2 x AA batteries but these are ubiquitous around most households. No idea on battery life as I’ve only used if for a short time. Tried a couple of rechargeable batteries I had kicking around and these didn’t work, which may be use to the slightly lower voltage used (1.2V vs 1.5V in alkalines), but maybe it was their age / charge state.

I considered a WiFi version but am glad I didn’t pay the extra as it’s really easy to just read the images direct from the memory card into a computer.

Overall, highly recommended. Will add some example scans at a later date.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersConvenient and very practical
Use this for taking images especially from old books where using a flatbed scanner would be really difficult for fear of breaking the spines of the books. It is very easy to use and produces quality images. The margin on one side is wider than the other so depending upon the inside margin of the page sometimes you need to reverse the motion to get the scanner into the fold of the book. Matters not, works well in either direction.

    Great value for money
I use this for scanning drawings from books at my library. Dead easy to use, A4 in size and generally a good buy as it’s cheap as chips. Has saved me many a trip to the photocopier!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersReally pleased
I’ve had this for a few hours and already I’ve scanned almost 100 photos with no problem (well, other than about 5 photos which was my fault as my hand slipped!). I switched it on, scanned the photos, and then added them to my laptop via the USB cable provided. No issues at all and the photos are of a decent quality. I’m impressed with how easy it all was. I didn’t want a standard scanner as I use a laptop and have nowhere to set up a scanner, so this was a better option. I’m really pleased with this.

It’s pretty good in general. However, the quality of the scan depends too much on my hands and it also keeps omitting the last part of the page (last 1-2cm or so). Also I found it is not compatible regarding to scanning thick books due to its size

Works for what I had in mind
I use the scanner to scan mostly uneven surfaces, not documents. For that it works like the information promised. Useful to make long scans. For some reason it atuomatically uses the lowest dpi setting and have to always change it.

Nice piece of kit, only used the SD data card option so far to store images. The results are impressive I must say. I had to get documents scanned on a clients site. Use on a flat surface and don’t rush the scan and it’s perfect results. Only used it a few times now but for what it is I’m very pleased. Worth the money? maybe not because I don’t use the WiFi feature and should have bought the cheaper one but no regrets, recommended, yes.

It’s very practical, it’s quick to scan a piece of work and upload it to the computer. You don’t need to download any software. It works the way you expect it to and it’s better then those scanning apps you get on your phone. Also it’s lightweight and portable. As a design student this is so useful as I can move around without worrying about storing my sketches on the go.

I wasn’t satisfied with the first scanner I received, customer service was really helpful and they sent me another scanner it was brilliant. I also always thought returning a product on amazon would be annoying but I just dropped off the product at my local supermarket.

If you want to scan text get the 900DPI if you want to scan sketches or pictures its worth getting the 1050DPI. The scanning quality is quite good.

    NEAT DEVICE
Good size and weight for a portable device. It was delivered next day by Amazon. Well packaged. I like it but struggling to connect the wifi correctly to my iPhone. I’m not great with this stuff. I have managed to include the scanner on my wifi list but it’s appearing as an an “open network” and I don’t know how to make it secure for WPS. Perhaps IScan could let me know what to do.

Am not very technical so wanted something easy to use and this little machine is great. Ready to scan out of the box – although it caused me some confusion as it didn’t work initially due to missing SD card. Left message for company & they came back right away offering refund to buy a card on Amazon so was pleased with the service too. Made it very easy for me to make a book from old damaged photos.
