Very good. Its light and easy to use.
2nd day of using after pulled gluteus maximus muscles. It does help. Will be using it now 3 times a day until fully heald. Light and perfect for the job. Prefer this one to the roller ball

The shape of this is great, if using this for your back, the shape means you don’t tend to lose it like you would a ball. I found this great for feet too, helps relieve plantar fasciitis. It’s very firm but you vary the pressure by how much weight you put on it. The tapered design allows a more even larger surface area than a ball and works really well on glutes. Definitely recommended.

This Massage Roller arrived in a great condition. It’s very hard with just a little give from the nodules on it; once they’re pushed very hard onto by the body or fingers; as you can see from the video. At each end are grey semi-circles made of tough smooth plastic. I enjoy using this Roller to help get rid of sciatica and other muscular pains. This Massage Roller has a rubber textured surface which makes it grip better to other surfaces to stay in place. I like the size of it, it’s not much bigger in height than my kitchen sugar canister, it’s easy and very comfortable to hold onto and use. I like that it has a nice bright lime green colour, it’s a rugby ball shape and the overall design of this massage roller; I also really like; that it feels like it’s good quality and appears very durable. For its current cost of 9.99 it’s decent.

    It works well

I’m suffering from very painful feet, plantar fasciitis, and this helps relax my feet after a day of work, certainly my arches, but my heel pain, nothing helps with that!

It’s pretty modestly priced, and I’m sure it will help post work out to ease out any stiff muscles.

A simple idea very nicely put together!

    Does a great job!

I love this , i ahve a silimar one but its a ball shape, this one is more oval and elongated , it rolls nicely and is a good sturdiness for massage.
My daughter also likes the sensory feel of it and how nice it rolls .
    excellently made too

I really like this and it does help with foot fatigue. It’s a very simple massage roller, in a rugby ball shape with ridges and it can be used in various places on the body, but it really does lend itself to feet. It is simple to use and gives a decent massage, which can be varied just by changing the position of the foot and/or the pressure used. It’s lightweight, portable and easy to keep clean. For me, I’d quite like it to have a storage bag, but that’s a nice to have rather than an essential.

At the time of writing this review, the cost is 9.99, which is the maximum that I’d pay.

    As described and as advertised.

Basic packaging (plain-ish cardboard box) but would make a useful gift for anyone wanting sole of feet massage or foam roller equivalent.

Very basic instructional images on box but it’s relatively intuitive and easy to use.

We like the very firm ridges and the mini rugby ball style shape. It’s easy to roll this under foot on the floor for a nice massage – obviously the harder you press down the firmer the massage.

This is highly portable as it’s relatively small and lightweight but it’s lacking a small travel pouch/bag – this would have been an ideal addition.

This can also be used as an alternative to a foam roller for post exercise or stress relieving massage on calves or other areas in the same way you’d use a foam roller. We’ve found this a little firm for us but we only really expected to use this for foot massage.

Simple and effective – portable and lightweight – needs a storage pouch.

At just 6.85″ long, this is a very portable massage roller. I’d not used a knobbly roller like this before so this was a first for me. Sensations can be difficult to describe but possibly the last time my feet – which is where I used it – felt as good was after using a rather ancient vibrating plate machine as a child circa 1969 in an amusement hall on a seaside pier.

The sensation I’m trying to describe is more or less walking on air. This doesn’t quite replicate the effect in terms of length – but as I recall sixpence in the slot gave a session rather longer than I’ve so far managed with this amazing low tech device.

I’m basically giving this a go as lately I’ve been having a bit of foot swelling which I’d ascribe to poor circulation and I’m trying to avoid investing in one of those very pricey electrical celebrity-endorsed TV advertised bits of kit. Maybe in the end I’ll succumb but in the meantime I’m hoping this compact little massage roller may help.

I ordered this for deep massage of my feet and the back of my neck before and after my yoga practice. It is ok for my neck, but For my feet, it is not firm or stimilating enough. I dont use it my other parts of my body due to its small size and the balancing act it requires. I still prefer my traditional foam roller for my back, calves etc. But this rugby ball shaped massage roller is very handy for people who go to the gym.

I’m prone to back aches so thought I’d give this a go, I’m glad I did! It’s really easy to use and can get into all the muscles without much pressure or anything like that. It’s small so it’s easy to stash it somewhere out the way too

I initially selected this to use on my feet but have started to use it for my shoulders, glutes and legs.

The rugby ball shape makes it easier to control than a ball, especially for shoulders up against a wall and its shape makes it slightly less intense whilst still being effective. I haven’t abandoned the ball, I’ve just added this to my regime.

It is however, wonderful on feet. The material is more like a firm rubber than hard plastic making it more comfortable against bare skin. The shape assists the movement on the floor as well, making for a smoother experience as it doesn’t run away from you in all directions.

Highly recommended for all levels of experience.

This MURLIEN Massage Roller is an interesting product. Being shaped like a small rugby ball it’s intermediate between a roller and a ball shaped massager. A ball can be a bit too sharp though it can really pressure a particular spot I probably don’t want to use it for a wide area.

This one, on the other hand, spreads out the force a bit more, though not as much a cylinder roller. A happy medium. The spikes have some elasticity and it doesn’t fly out from under you like a ball sometimes does. Personally I’ll still be using a roller, but this is useful as just indicated, and is also light and portable to take with you.

Easier to use than a ball

Great portable massage ball, very lightweight does the job perfect for sticking in the gym bag

I have a varied array of massage balls and the like – with the spiky ones I have the spikes are too long and hard and they really uncomfortable to use. I was curious to give this one a go because it has the pointy bits but they’re much shorter. It’s OK and a useful addition to my repertoire of massage balls, but the knobbly bits do have a reasonable bit of “give” in them and are not as firm as I had hoped. I would have liked them to be harder.

I’m a total fan of trigger point massage and this is another handy little device to add into my arsenal. It’s hollow and very lightweight so easy to pop into my gym bag for use after exercise. The elongated shape is great for under your feet, calf’s and hamstrings. I usually use a ball against the wall around my upper arms and back and this is a bit easier to use for certain muscles as it is more stable and doesn’t roll out from behind you like a lacrosse ball can do.

I have been using a typical foam roller for my butt and legs for years now. The foam roller I have at home is about 2 feet long and 8 inches thick – so it’s not something that I carry with me when I exercise away from home.

This Murlien roller is maybe the size of a large avocado, so it is something that I can throw in my gym bag – or I could take it with me when I’m in a hotel or a self-catering cottage. The roller is made of quite a hard material, so it gives quite a penetrating massage despite its small size.

I particularly like the massaging effect it gives me on my glutes and my calves. It’s not bad for my quadriceps muscles, but the balancing act it requires means that I would prefer to use a long, traditional foam roller given the choice.

I’ve tried small ball-shaped massagers before but haven’t liked them that much. Especially if I’m rolling on a hard surface, ball-shaped things can end up moving sideways and shooting across the floor. In contrast, this Murlien massage roller does not move sideways, which is a benefit for me.

Overall, I really like this. It’s portable yet still gives a deep, penetrating massage. I’ll be using this a lot.

An awesome roller for my glutes and calves
