I bought this kit for myself so that I could start doing my own gel nails at home. I had never tried it before but i do my own nails with regular polish a lot. It was very easy to use. Takes a bit of practice on your first tries but im a perfectionist. Great value for money and I use it all the time. Would have saved me ‘s on professional manicures. Getting the polish off is a bit of a faff and takes some time but its worth it for 2-3 weeks of unchipped nails!
I am so glad I found this – No more expensive trips to the nail salon for me! The on switch on the curing lamp wasn’t easy to find and I had to read the manual but the products were super easy to use considering I’ve never done this before (sure, I could do things a little better the next time) but overall a reasonably professional, polished look considering it was my first attempt and I used the mylee builder gel as an infill on my acrylic nails. Highly recommended!
I’ve never done my nails in my life as I have always been a nail biter until very recently. I decided that to keep myself motivated to keep my nails out of my mouth I would invest in this kit. I watched a review video of this kit on youtube before purchasing and I have to say I’ve found it so simple to use. Great buy.

This starter kit is amazing, the light is easy to use, I used the 30 second light setting and my nails lasted 2 weeks easily and didn’t even start to peel off. I used the removal lotion with some cotton pads cut up and within 15 minutes I was able to take off the varnish with little resistance. Highly recommended
This set is amazing! I get my nails done at a salon costing 29 every two weeks. Lately, Trying to get them done with a baby in tow isn’t the relaxing experience it used to be!
I bought some additional mylee spring colours and I’m so pleased with my first go. They’re not perfect, but not a million miles away from my salon nails.
Make sure you gently buff your nail bed before (a 180 to 240 file worked for me). Wipe all over the nail with the prep solution and don’t touch your nails again. Curing with the lamp was quick and easy (I went for 30 seconds). Once the top coat is cured, make sure you wipe over again with the prep and polish solution to get rid of any stickiness.
Great value, the kit will pay for itself in 3 manicures. Wish I’d bought it sooner!
Love being able to do my own nails. They last roughly 3 weeks, which is great as I’m a nail picker so wasn’t sure how good it would be. I always paid for for CND Shellac and the Mylee products are as great a product with the same longevity.
Make sure you prep your nails properly first and you’ll have no issues at all.
The first time we used this we got professional results, well pleased.
Easily did my own nails. No more wafting my hands around to dry them. I had a beautiful tough finish in minutes. Have watched and read up on gel removal and how to care for your nail bed and am confident to use this product long term.
Only one downside, one of the bottles leaked slightly from a loose cap

I like this product as it’s saves me a fortune on getting my nails done professionally. I do have to warn though that you have to give your nails a break to heal and re grow after a about three or four changes of nail colors. No matter how careful , the removal of nail polish that was growing out and peeling away from the nail after 2/3 weeks , it took the top layer off my healthy nail each time. After the four colour change in a row I could feel the blue light securing the polish was burning my nails. Also the skin around my nails were beginning to peel and look unhealthy . Give your nails a rest in between colour changes .
So easy to use, comes with step by step instructions, and lasted me 10 days without any chips!
I am not sure why I didn’t know about this little do it all at home set, saves time and money. It’s so quick and easy I’m just loving it. Definitely worth a purchase!!
I’ve used them on my dogs harness for early morning late night walks as were rural they are brilliant super bright and hold there charge whilst we’re out we are super bright and can’t be missed well worth there money

So after being unhappy with my local nail bar, but also unhappy with the lack of staying power of general nail polish from shops I decided to treat myself to this gel kit. I only received it today and have just used it but I am so impressed. Very easy to use, I also bought the French manicure polish as I am very happy applying this, but due to removing acrylic nails and cutting them short I haven’t tried the French today . But the colour polish and how it makes my nails look is brilliant. Also dries like get polish in nail bar quick without worry of smudge. I’m so pleased I invested, will save me 30 every 3 weeks! Highly recommend.

I found this really easy to use and super pleased with the results! Practice will take perfect though. Do read and follow all the steps – you need to use the prep and polish for the final look, otherwise the gel stays slightly tacky.

I thought this would be okay when I ordered, didn’t think it would be as good as when I get them done professionally, especially because I’m a beginner. However my nails are just as good doing them myself using this kit! So easy to use too, I highly recommend!
Well worth the purchase! I bought poly gel also to be able to extend my nails with this absolutely amazing! Might be a pay out for the stuff but considering how much I’ll save on getting my nails done elsewhere it’s a no brainer 🙂 this is a picture of my first set! I followed YouTube videos and the instruction with the kit and found it super easy, can only see the results getting better and better with more practise!
So far I’m REALLY impressed. I had an old UV lamp and bluesky gels previously and it was… okay but very drying on my skin. I got rid of it a few years ago and was thinking the technology must have improved so thought I’d try this one out whilst on sale. I’m *really* impressed, the lamp is easy to use, so much faster to cure than my old lamp and seems to cure well so far. The gels are awesome – I bought a couple of christmas colours and they go on great and have decent saturdation. I’ve got three colour coats on and my nails still look really delicate, not gloopy or thickly coated. I didn’t do the best job of prepping my nails as I wanted to get on and try it – so I’ll update this review with details of how long the gel lasts once I know….
update at 5 days – gel holding firm, no lifting and no tip chipping and just as shiny as the day i did it. i’m legit wondering about the negative reviews. mine was mylee branded.
I had been looking for weeks for a starter kit.
I a trained in manicure and pedicure but never used gel.
Been using Polish for years in between gel nail appointments but the constant cost is off putting so although it’s one big expenditure i thought I’d give it a go.
On my 4th set and it’s easy to use take time to do some research if your not qualified at what you need.
For the prices it’s great starter kit.
This has been so much fun learning with. I had an amazon voucher so I decided to treat myself. I’m not looking to turn pro but it’s just nice to be able to do my nails without them chipping in a day or two. My nails stay chip free for a minimum of 2 weeks if I take the time to do them properly.
Very happy with this ,it was a Christmas present last year .. love buying different colour gel polish now to help my nails grow and look nice
What a great starter kit. Everything you need to get going and doing great looking nails! I did my 1st set on 31st August, and despite not being particularly careful, my nails still look awesome. The 4 colours I got are beautiful, I was delighted with them. Will definitely buy more polishes as I go along. Love this kit!
Was really impressed with item. Only had them on for a few days and they started to peel a bit which is disappointing. Then by last night they’d all started lift off and come away. I’ve redone them today and will see how they go.
I’ve never done my own nails before, with the job I do my nails break and are very weak. I bought this and done my nails and they look like a professional has done them! I’ve never done this before and it was easy to use, it comes with instructions which are very easy to follow! Mylee have some good tips and tricks on YouTube too! I’ve had many complaints and I’ll be doing my own nails in future!
I think I may have over paid for this item when you look at other ones that give more items included in with the package. Having said that I love it. I have only used it twice and I’m sure I will keep getting better at it. Some one told me to stand the nail varnish in warm water to make it easier to go on, and this worked. It will pay for itself with one more use. I would definitely recommend i
So I think I have had this nail kit set for a week or two or maybe… and I think it’s good but I’m finding that once I done my nails and when I come out the shower my nails sort of peel off but I think its the top coat that’s being affected by them idk and the same thing happened to me this morning when I had a shower and drying my hair… hope this makes sense and any advice would be great …
After a lot of research and reading reviews, I decided to purchase the mylee Pro set. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Really easy to apply and great finish. It’s been 8 days now between both pictures and I have no chips and they still look amazing. I followed the guide on how to apply but I did leave then under the lamp a little longer to make sure they cured. This will save me a fortune in the long run and I would highly recommend.
This is the first time I’ve done my own gel nails. The set included full instructions and almost all you need to get going. The only thing you need in addition is some files which helped prep the nails. Set up was easy and I’m super pleased with the outcome. It is tacky until you cure the top coat and then wipe with the polish stuff. Then it’s perfect! I recommend. Good value when bought in a lightning sale, but full price isn’t bad when compared to paying a salon each time.
I wanted to try the box set few times before writing a review to be able to give an honest and complete feedback on the product.
I wanted to have always cured and nice hands and nails, but didn’t know who to trust for that. I said, let’s try one set at home and then, if I’m not convinced, I will go to a salon. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier, I love the result so much.
I started with the light pink, it lasted one week. The second time was the black one, and the pink is the fourth one. The longevity is improving more and more with the attempts, and I’m sure with a little bit more of practice it will last 2 weeks. It needs a little bit of work and practice, the procedure is really easy but it needs attention and cure. It was really easy for me because my mother used to do my nails, so I saw all her good practices and I know what to do and what to avoid. Not sure why some reviews say that it doesn’t stick, I honestly find it hard to remove at the end.
The only thing I could say is that you can’t trust the colour of the gel from the pictures, at the end the results is really different from what you were expecting. But this is a common problem between the nails polish gel, I had with all the ones I tried. They are a bit pricey too, I would love some more sets of 3/4 to save some money.
My first impression is that the kit is well made and great value for money. I was pleasantly surprised at the 4 best selling colours – I half thought they’d include some of the least popular colours that they can’t shift.
Instructions were included on the steps to prepping and applying gel polish which was handy since been 3+ years since I’ve done it. Everything was super easy and the finished result is amazing. I’m so pleased!
Longevity of the polish is very dependant on application and I’ve always struggle with polish lifting after a week, so time will tell on how well I did and how well the polish holds up in general. What I will say, is the lamp cures quickly and the polish doesn’t run when applied in thin layers which makes it super easy to get a neat finish

The light pink polish picture is the length of my nails after i started to use this kit (not even 8 weeks ago) and this polish has been on for 3 weeks! The gel has saved my nails from numerous possible breakages. I couldn’t be happier.
I’m so impressed! I’m a complete beginner but found this set to be very easy to use. Everything you need (except a nail file and cuticle stick) is included. On my first go I achieved great results that looked professional. As long as you read and follow the instructions provided you can’t go wrong. My gels have still looked great after a week, but I’ve redone them anyway cos I really wanted to try the other colours!
Really pleased with this Mylee nail set. After doing some research this set and lamp seems to be a popular option, so thought I’d give it a go. 4 nice colours included and all the necessary extra bits too. Good instruction manual and straightforward to use. Have done 4 sets of nails so far (each lasted around 7/8 days each time but I’m no pro at applying this – yet!). Getting the hang of it with each turn. Sounds a lot to pay initially but paying for itself in no time. Even did my toes too which was as easy to use. Would really recommend the set, plus extra colours only around 7.50 each available on Amazon too.
This kit is great for these current times when you can’t get to a salon to have your nails done! I got the one without the cuticle pusher and buffers (I already have the cuticle pusher) so I bought some cheap buffer blocks separately.
The kit is really easy to use as the instructions are very easy to follow. So far I have tried the darkest of the colours included (love!) and the lightest colour (wasn’t as much as a fan, but that’s because I have pale skin so light colours don’t really look great on me).
The one tip I would happily share is to base coat your whole nail, then when it comes to adding the first layer of colour, leave a good gap between the edge of the polish and the skin. It may look weird, but go with it. With the next layer, paint a bit closer to the skin (to seal the first layer of colour), still leaving a small gap between the paint and the skin. Do the same with the top coat (painting over all the edges of the colour so you seal it all in, including ‘capping’ the top edges of the nail) importantly so the top coat doesn’t go onto the skin. If you cure the top coat overlapping onto the skin, you will probably get lifting of the colour when general use of your hands will cause the top coat on your skin to catch, which may cause the whole layer of paint to lift and peel. Learn from my experience!
However that was error on my part, nothing to do with the kit itself.
Another thing I will mention is that the MyGel base and top coats included in the kit work fine with other brands of gel colours, as I have used both Shellac and Blue Sky colours with no adverse results.
I bought this product due to my usual nail salon being closed during lockdown. I have to say I am impressed. The quality of the actual gel isn’t quite as good as professional gels used in the salon; but for the cost of this kit, I am more than pleased. This kit has everything you need, and I have since bought more gels to use. The gel normally lasts about a week before chipping etc, so not too bad.
Read all the positive reviews so decided to risk it. Arrived today, ahead of schedule so gave it a go. Made sure I followed all the instructions and it worked a treat, really easy and very pleased with my first attempt. Lots of accessories included, so you not only get a really good LED lamp you get everything you need to get going. Really happy so far, hopefully I’ll get neater as I do it more, can’t wait to try lots of other colours.
I was very dubious at buying this but couldn’t bear not having my nails done in lockdown. Bought some good nail files which removed my gel and then used the kit. Didn’t soak the gel off as I had acrylic on so still wanted the length. All the products are easy to use and although the lamp takes probably 4 times the length it takes in the salon it didn’t bother me. I obviously wasn’t as good as a nail technician and smudged some nails but overall it’s a great result and my family all commented on how nice they looked. However the next day after cleaning for only 10 minutes, two nails had the gel polish worn off so definitely not like the salon.
Never done my own gel nails at home before. Kit is very easy to use. The end result is really nice but a few are starting to lift slightly at the sides after 4 days which makes it too easy to peel off so I’ve had to re-do a couple. This may be due to my inexperience though so I’ll persevere.
Actual nail polish is very thick and gloopy (I assume it’s meant to be) which makes it a bit tricky to apply smoothly.
Overall pretty pleased with it considering some of the reviews.
Got this as decided I really needed to sort my nails out and get some nice colours on them. The kit is really well packed and very easy to use. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it doesn’t come with the buffer which is really crucial to get the best base, so I bought a cheap pack of them. I know that for another 10 you can get cuticle oil, pusher and buffer, but they could have just put a cheap buffer in..! I followed the instructions to the letter and voila! lovely gel finish nails. They lasted just a snip under 2 weeks and I only really took them off because I chipped one at work otherwise they’d still be on. I would definitely say to put on really thin coats of the base, colour and top for the best finish. Really really happy with the set and for a first time user such as myself, then I’m converted!
To say I never even used nail varnish until now, then I’m impressed with myself!! I had my nails done for my birthday and it was going to cost a lot to keep going back. So a friend told me about this set….so I treated myself!
Easy to use, instructions are basic but there really is nothing else to know..it’s all there!
The polish lasts up to 2 weeks but obviously this depends on how you take care of your hands ( hence I’ve purchased my first pair of rubber gloves for washing up) haha!

Don’t listen to the people that say that the polish doesn’t set. They don’t know how to use the polish. If you use it how it says on the instructions, it will work. The polish stays tacky until you set the topcoat and wipe the nail with prep and polish solution. The solution removes the tackiness. The polish quality seems great so far, I am very happy with this product. The lamp does NOT have a hand sensor, so you need to press the buttons at the back, other than that I have had no problems with the lamp or the polishes. Make sure you prep your nails (file, buff, remove cuticles) correctly and there will be zero problems. The nails in the photo aren’t the best but that’s my fault for not removing my cuticles.
I bought this kit in March at the start of the first lockdown. I had been having acrylics for the past 3 years and my natural nails were really weak without having anything on them. I couldn’t face going without anything on my nails so decided to give this kit a try.
It’s an absolutely fantastic product. From the lamp that cures in 15 seconds to the gel which is super vibrant and strong to the gel remover which is so easy to use.
My nails have never been so strong. I usually redo them every 2 weeks and sometimes if I don’t have time to gel them again straight away I leave my natural nails for a day or so which I would have never done before as they were so brittle.
Couldn’t recommend this kit enough. I’ll never go back to acrylics and have saved myself so much money while continuing to have beautiful nails.
I stopped going to the nail salon due to lockdown and kind of wasn’t keen to back to it . I have often seen gel in makeup aisles in shops and wondered how difficult it was . I did get some recommendations from people that I knew had used gel themselves . I found it very easy with good instructions. They don’t last as long as in the salon where I used to get three weeks . I am getting just over a week , but I am very hard on my nails and the gel is on my own nails which are more bendy than the built up nails I was having in the nail bar. Even so it is very quick and easy to do , I don’t have to book in or wait and spend 2 hours in the nail bar and I am not spending the infill cost every 2-3 weeks
I love this lamp! I’ve had a few other cheaper ones and it’s definitely my favourite so far. It’s really easy to use and looks great.
I actually bought this set as a gift and I’ve never personally used the Mylee gels before, just the lamp. My sister said that the Mylee Gels chip/peel off really easily on natural nails, and work better on acrylic. I have since tried these gels and I found a similar issue. It might just be down to curing times as different brands seem to vary.
Communication with the seller was great. One of the gels arrived broken and I was initially offered a discount to the price I paid. After explaining that it was a gift, the seller shipped a replacement! Unfortunately this gel also arrived broken, but it wasn’t as noticeable as the first. Regardless, their effort to solve my issue was appreciated and I didn’t take the issue further.
All in all, I think this is a really great set for the price – considering the price for each gel and the additional products on their own.
I debated with myself about buying this kit for MONTHS and I’m so glad i finally did. I used to get my nails done pre-lockdown once a month and spent 25 each time. This is my second set on my hands and I’ve also done my toes and im seriously impressed and have saved money already! My first set lasted 3 full weeks through camping and gardening, see pic! I bought a metal cuticle pusher and white buffing block and use a cuticle nipper to prep my nails (really important for longevity) and I use the Mylee Magic gel remover to take it off rather than the acetone gel remover supplied in this kit.
At first I felt super intimidated to do my own gel nails I have been putting it off getting my own kit for years. Going to salons. Paying 27 each time I get shellac done. It works out pretty expensive if you keep going to the salon. So I decided to take the plunge! And what a treat. I have beautiful nails that look like they were done by a pro! If you do them properly, the last for a long time and are nice and resistant.
1. Push cuticles back and file and shape the nail
2. Use the nail prep to sterilise the nail bed and get rid of the natural oils on the nail (if you don’t do this, the polish will lift)
3. Keep the base coat, polish and top coat away from your skin and cuticles so you have a neat line. Follow the line for each coat you do in between curing. The polish stays wet until you cure it so if you go over the skin or cuticle then you can just wipe it off.
4. Make sure you “cap” the nail with a swipe of polish at the top of the nail before curing. This is going to make sure again the polish doesn’t lift.
5. Wipe the nail with the polish wipe when you are done with the top coat curing.
6. Ensure you keep your nail polish away from the lap when you cure the nail.
7. Use cuticle oil when you are done to moisturise those fingers!
I’m delighted and found my new hobby. This is brilliant. Wish I had more colours now! 😀
Actually really surprised at how good this is – did a lot of research and this seemed to come up as a good option for at home gel nails.
Very easy to use, just make sure you prep nails properly to get the gel to last and give your nails a decent break every now and then because they will get weak.
Oh and don’t ever do gel nails in direct light (including in a conservatory) sounds obvious but even UV from sunlight will cure the gel and ruin the polish! Doh!

As lockdown begins to ease my nail technician has told me that she can’t afford to carry on with all the new regulations and rules, and so has closed her business.
Needed to do something about my nails to protect and care for them, and after looking around at various systems, chose this.

Having had acrylics for years and not being able to get my nails done during Covid, I decided I needed to start doing my nails at home.
This kit is great for that. I’m VERY out of practice at doing my own nails; but found it’s really easy to use and the polishes that come with the kit are lovely. It will pay for itself in 3-4 uses and I won’t have to worry about going back to the nail salon now.
Also, I had an issue where I was sent 2 base coats and no top coat. The seller was very quick to respond and rectify the problem.

Great starter kit! Arrived on time and very well packaged! The kit itself comes with the pro salon lamp, removed and nail cleaner/finisher as well as a top and base coat and 4 gorgeous colours. And a bunch of soft little cotton pads. The first time i did my nails it took me about 15 minutes all together. It was very easy and that manicure lasted 10 days and then I had to remove it because it grew out but the polish was perfect, not a single chip eventhough I did all the housework. The second time it took me about an hour because I had to soak it off (I reccomend using cotton wool soaked in the remover and then put foil around the nail and wait 15 to 20min for easy removal) and then apply the polish with all its steps.
All in all I’m very chuffed I bought this kit and would highly reccomend it to anyone considering it.
Great investment; especially during these difficult times. I have used it on my toes and hands for 2 sessions. Works really well. I tend to use the max 60 secs to cure. Try not to get gel on sides; on skin. I use a cotton bud with some of the gel remover on. Also works well with my pots of glitter. I paint onto third wet coat of colour and then put top coat on. Colour they sends are not great; so I ordered a set of different ones. The brown however is nice with added glitter. You will need to order your nail tools separate. Very happy with it! Worth the money
Absolutely amazing product. Have just done my first DIY home gel manicure ever and the results are perfect! As good as a professional manicure. The kit was super easy to use, and feels very high quality. In particular the gel polish colour are really lovely. Would definitely recommend. Will change your life! Thank you! (My only tip would be – keep in mind this kit does not include cuticle sticks, nail files or cuticle oil, so just remember to buy those bits separately as I did to get the complete set of tools needed. Otherwise perfect!)
It arrived in good time, despite COVID-19, and tonight I’ve given it a test run. Instructions were simple to follow and lamp easy to use. My only critique would be it would be nice to have the timer buttons on the top instead of at the back, but it’s not a deal-breaker by any means. Cleansed nails with prep solution and lint free pads (all in this pack) and applied base coat. Cured for 30 seconds, applied 2 coats of colour again 30 seconds each. 2 coats more than adequate for good coverage. Top coat cured for 60 seconds, wiped clean with prep and finish solution and hey presto gel nails which look pretty amazing even if I say so myself. Good choice of colours in the kit, I opted to use the neutral colour first as I’m too rusty at painting my own nails to rush in with the gorgeous pink from the set. Early days using the kit and I can’t comment on the longevity but based on tonight’s nail session I can’t see me going back to paying for my nails fortnightly. I think for nail session two I’ll do one hand completely before moving into the second hand. Might be a bit easier for a novice like me. There are cheaper kits out there but you get what you pay for and by not going to my nail tech I’ll have paid for the kit inside of 2 months anyway.
Cannot fault it. I am new to gel nails and only had it done in a salon twice. I had my reservations, but unpon receipt all the things you need for a gel manicure were right there. I primed with the blue liquid using the lint-free cloth, put a base coat, cured for a minute, then two coats of colour with 1 minutes of cure after each and finished with a top coat with another minute under the light. Last but not list – wipe with the blue liquid again to removed tackiness and off you go! Cannot believe how easy and time-effecient it was! Longevity is yet to be tested, but since it looks like the same brand as the nail technicians used in the salon, I cannot see how this can go wrong. The choice of colours is also good ranging from pale pink, to nude, hit pink and what looks like burgundy. One week in and and I have already saved 25 on gel manicure! 100% happy with my purchase. Only widh I bought it sooner!
I’d been looking for a home application kit for a while and MyLee has good reviews. I snapped this up on a special offer day, so it’s paid for itself with a couple of applications compared to professional manicures and gel renewals.
The set comes with four different colours. I wouldn’t have picked them from the colours on the lids, but actually they are much nicer once applied. There is a soft and natural pink, a brighter fuchsia perfect for all round wear, a deep dark burgundy and a greigey colour which goes with everything. Perfect for the office. MyLee have an excellent selection of colours which can be purchased separately so now I’m looking forward to topping up my collection throughout the year!
Application is quick, taking only 15 seconds to cure each colour layer. You have to get used to the feeling of tackiness between cures but the finish is great and doesn’t look home applied at all. The shortest time the nails have stayed on without splitting or lifting is 10 days, my longest three weeks which rivals my usual professional acrylic applications!
I thought about buying this for months. I finally bought the kit a few weeks ago when it was on offer and I have no regrets. I am a beginner when it comes to doing nails but I found the kit really easy to use. It comes with an instruction guide and everything you need apart from a cuticle pusher and a buffing block which I purchased separately (you can pick these up for a few pounds) on Amazon. The quality of gel polish is exactly the same as you’d get in a salon. If you get your nails done regularly at a salon, after using this kit 3/4 times it will have paid for itself. I would highly recommend and I’m very happy with my purchase.
This is a great product. I have a 10 month old baby so gone are the days where I can take her with me to get my nails done, knowing that she’ll sleep through my appointment. Also, I can’t really justify spending 30-40 getting my nails done every time they need doing anymore. A few of my friends have their own gel nail kits and have raves about them, so I bought this when it was on offer for 53. It’s brilliant! As long as you don’t put the gel on too thickly, or touch your nails until they’re completely finished, they look great. I’ve done mine a few times now and they have probably lasted just longer than a week (but that’s with doing lots of house chores etc) but then you’re never going to get a full salon quality at home, but it doesn’t matter because you can just redo them when you want! A few of my friends have had babies recently and find it tricky to get out so I’ve done their nails too and it’s made them so happy! It’s so easy to use and as long as you follow the instructions, your nails will look great. I’ve already ordered a few more colours! I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to save money and be able to do their nails as and when it’s convenient for them!
Was sceptical in buying gel nail system at home but after seeing positive reviews I’m glad I took the chance in this set.
It really works. I need to practice and the painting on my right hand has room for improvement but the result is really salon quality. Nails are quite short at the moment, so not able to ‘cap’ the tip of the nail so could only get a week out of them so far. But that suits me and know when nails grow they’ll be easier to paint.
I will agree that the nail polishes supplier are quite thick but I was very happy with result and wondering why I’ve not bought sooner.

I am a new mummy and I don’t always find the time to go to the salon to have my nails done so I’m chuffed that I will never have to deal with a bad manicure anymore!
I changed the colour today…after a week because I was just anxious to try more colours but I do have to say that after 7 days my nails were still immaculate so I reckon 10-14 would have been guaranteed.
Removing the polish was absolutely no problem I followed the instructions and it came off like a Breeze.
I do strongly recommend to watch some tutorials on YouTube and to follow the instructions regarding prepping the nail before use.
Other than that just enjoy looking glam at a low cost!

This kit is the absolute must for anyone starting gel nails or even a professional.
The uv led unit has different buttons for timings, the prep wipe and gel remover is fabulous.
The base and top coat hold any colours on great especially elite 99, blue sky brands.
The amount of products you get to start is a bargain and last a long time, I’m yet to replenish them.
But warning it can get quite addictive to come up with different designs and colours and have saved on gel polish manicure and pedicure
Good set of starter colours. All the bits you need (except files) to do your own gels. Doesn’t last quite as long as a professional manicure but still about 10 days. Easy to put on and remove yourself. Takes about 45 mins to remove and reapply. I usually let it dry for longer than recommended 30 secs not 15, and then for 2 mins at the end. You Must remember to wipe over with the solution at the end or they remain tacky.
Pays for itself after 3 uses as I was paying 25 a time at salon.
Gift for my daughter and she loves it, although she peeks her nail varnish off after about 4 days, but no apparent damage to the nail. I found it’s making mine a bit brittle after wearing constantly and soaking off Probably best not to repeat it so often but to leave a few days free of polish for nails to breathe
I live abroad and only have the chance to have a gel nail manicure when I’m back in the UK for a visit and can visit a salon. I ordered this kit to take abroad with me and I’ve used it 4 times so far, once for each of the supplied colours.
This has everything you need in one box – I looked at piecing the bits together and it’s not worth it. Just buy the kit.
I was really lucky – I love all four of the colours that came with it. The very light baby pink one needs more coats than the others to make it a solid colour. I hadn’t heard of this brand before buying so I was a bit wary that the polishes aren’t a big name like gellish, CND, OPI etc. However, I’ve found them to be excellent quality and the brushes are really easy to work with.
Having had gel nails done a lot in salons I already knew the technique and the dos and don’ts but the instructions in this kit are really clear. When using this kit I could get in excess of 10 days without chipping or peeling if it weren’t for the fact that my nails grow so fast and I have to redo them for that reason.
Some tips: always make sure the nail is completely free from any cuticle or skin bits, buff nails before painting, don’t get any paint over skin or cuticles (if you do then remove it before curing the paint – you can use acetone to remove paint if necessary but it should just wipe off), don’t use any oils or lotions before painting, better to have more thin layers than fewer thicker layers – build colour up gradually, cap the nail tip (i.e. paint the end of the tip and sides) on every layer, especially base and top coats. Finally, try not to move the colour around on the nail too much – brush it on evenly in as few strokes as possible and don’t keep brushing over it.
Considering I’ve had many bad salon gel manicures that have chipped and peeled after only a day or two, this kit is really good and I’d highly recommend it.
It does take a bit of practice to get it perfect but that’s the same as using normal polish really. The key is to make the coats as thin as possible. Apparently 30 seconds is all it takes in the LED lamp but I end up doubling this or tripling it every time (and extra for the top coat!). You also need to be careful when using the prep wipe after your top coat – it can be a fine balance to rub on just the right amount to take off the stickiness without removing the shine. I’ve got this wrong a few times and had to re-do the top coat but again, it just takes a bit of practice. Not too happy with the lint-free wipes though; they seem to leave a lot of fine strands on the nail bed and I find myself picking them off the gel once I’ve applied it. There are probably better lint-free wipes on the market.
However, on the whole this is a brilliant set and I’m very happy with it. You just need some buffers, a metal cuticle stick and you’re good to go!
I ain’t gonna lie, I was sceptical at first, thinking this would be yet another pricey failure but I kid you not I’ve had these colours on for a week now and had my hands coming into contact with all kinds of cleaning products and housework with being at home with the kids for xmas etc.
I’ve done EVERYTHING from scrub to launder and they haven’t even started to chip, although you can see they are starting to grow out-my nails grow quite fast.
The colours in the pic were from the Christmas polish set which is beautiful and frankly I’m never going to step foot in a nail bar after this to spend my hard earned cash on gels again! I’ve done mine, my mums and I have a queue of friends wanting theirs done for our girls break at the end of january…it’s pretty much paid for itself already. Very highly recommended, I am now off to buy some more colours!
This does what it says it’s supposed to. Fantastic time features of 15 seconds , 30 seconds and 60 seconds. I always cure my nails for an additional 30 seconds to the recommend instructions and my nails always last 2 to 3 weeks. It’s only the regrowth which prompts me to change the colour. I use BlueSky gel nail polish. It’s excellent and I read reviews about it chipping, not curing etc but in all honesty this will be the way it’s been applied. I’m afraid you can’t blame the tools these are all brilliant when used correctly. I have save myself a fortune in salon fees now that I do my own nails at home. I also purchased some plastic hand and toe clips which I use with a cotton pad and soak the acetone on the pad and clip the plastic on my fingers and toes. They are sold on amazon too, better than fiddling around with foil or wraps which fall off your fingers!
I mainly bought the Mylee LED Lamp Kit because it was on offer with 20 off it and had really good reviews so thought I’d give it a go. I normally spend over 30 per time at the salon getting my nails done so thought I’d try this as it would save me money (and the hassle of trying to fit in an appointment around work hours!) as it was less than 50 for the whole kit so thought it would be worth it if it worked well and I wasn’t disappointed! I tried it on both myself and my mum’s nails and we were both really pleased with the results. By using it just twice so far I’ve already saved myself money compared to if I’d gone to the nail salon and will only continue to save myself even more money the more I use the product so I’m really happy 🙂
I also ordered 3 other Mylee gel nail polishes at the time of ordering this kit and I was really pleased with those as well.
For anyone looking at getting an ‘at home’ gel nail polish kit, I would highly recommend this one and the Mylee brand as I’m really pleased with my purchase. I wouldn’t hesistate to buy more from them in the future and will definitely be buying other colour polishes to add to my collection in the near future! 🙂
Remember to use the nail prep after applying the top coat (after 1 min of LED light), it removes the smudgy bits. Feels weird to do this after been using normail nail polish for years, but it needs to be done.

Every time I would leave 25-30 pounds in Nails Salon and not always will be satisfied with results, now I pay nobody and do it at home every 2-3 weeks. This set has really nice set for starters and nail gels are of good quality comparing to more expensive brands. Some people complained about pullings and cheapings, well, this will happen if you don’t do your nails properly, take time and learn how to do it.
And I have to say, although I’m nowhere as good as the nail technicians, I will certainly not be needing to go back any time soon as the result using this lamp and the Bluesky gel nails is fantastic and I am so so happy with my nails. Results last at least 2 weeks and even up to 3 although it depends how much your nail re-growth bothers you. I would highly recommend this lamp to anyone who wants to save themselves a lot of money. It does exactly what it says it does. The ONLY thing that’s a bit of a shame is it’s not automatic so you have to press the touch button at the back in order to start the curing process, but that’s not a big deal really. Highly recommended:-)

Very good value. The lamp itself is great; lightweight, compact and very affective. The removable bottom was the reason I purchased this set over others, it makes doing toes a lot easier. I professionally use gelish branded lamps and gel polishes at work and this lamp is just as good as those with a minuscule price tag in comparison. The blue sky gel polishes however are a slight disappointment. The formula isn’t that pigmented and I found I needed four coats to achieve an evenly opaque finish. Not a problem for me as I have hard gel overlays on my nails so would never get any lifting but I wonder how durable they would be on natural nails. The other niggle is that the gel remover isn’t 100% pure acetone, which I don’t understand. It’s diluted. I am yet to try this product so hopefully it’s works as well. Delivery was very prompt. For the price this set is really great. Very happy I chose this for the lamp in particular, I would definitely recommend. Especially if you are just wanting something for personal use like me, it has almost everything you need!
I was paying up to 25 in a salon for a gel nail polish and yet with this it pays for itself within three applications!
Ordinary nail polish only seems to last me a few hours and this one last at least eight to ten days – last over two weeks for my ‘not so hard on her hands’ daughter!
You do need a steady hand and one of the best tips is to apply a light coat each time and gradually build it up.
