You have toi find a clear area it place the rain gauge. I chose the top of my garage. However, when it comes to replacing the battery it is far too easy, when unscrewing it to access the old battery, to snap it off its mount. This is why it is our second purchase. Netamo weather instruments are also very sensitive to the Wi-Fi access and not the easiest to set up.

Ottimo pluviometro.
Il pluviometro Netatmo, oltre ad essere preciso, anche fatto bene, facilissimo da installare (contrariamente all’anemometro precedentemente recensito) e da connettere. Il funzionamento meccanico e trasmette misure attendibili. Funziona anche a 40 metri di distanza dalla stazione base dentro casa e consuma poco. Da avere, se si appassionati di questo genere di cose.

Bis jetzt funktioniert er ganz gut.
Die Installation und Verbindung mit der Wetterstation war unkompliziert. Die Messungen waren ziemlich genau und fr meine Bedrfnisse in Ordnung. Hatte bis heute nur eine Fehlermeldung mit der Aussage das sich der Regenmesser nicht mit der Station verbinden konnte. Dieses Problem erledigte sich nach kurzer Zeit von selbst. Ansonsten bin ich mit dem Regenmesser sehr zufrieden. Der Vorteil in meinen Augen ist, da man ihn nicht leeren mu. Dieses geht automatisch. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Wie lange die Batterien halten muss man noch abwarten. Ich habe den Regenmesser seit gut zwei Monaten im Einsatz.

Regenmesser von Netatmo ist viel zu Teue
Wenn man in vorhinein nicht ber einen gnstigen Standort nachgedacht hat, kann es schwierig werden den Regenmesser gnstig aufzustellen. Ziemlich schlecht finde ich die Funkverbindung und das, obwohl ich eine Fritz Box 6490 C als Router betreibe in kaum mehr als 5-6 Meter Entfernung geht die Verbindung ziemlich in die Knie Ich mchte gar nicht wissen wie es wre, wenn ich den Regen und Windmesser aufs Dach setzen wrde. Zudem wre es in angebracht des doch recht hohen Preis das der Regenmesser nicht kalibriert ist und man das umstndlich selbst machen soll, Frechheit! Wasser ist berall Wasser und der Hersteller sollte diese teuren Zusatzgerte Kalibrieren. Rckfragen mit dem Support erfolgen zumeist nicht in deutscher Sprache, vielleicht kmmert sich die EU mal darum.

Gute Informatione
Die Installation des Gertes war schnell erledigt und die Daten kommen immer bei der Zentrale und damit in der App (Handy und Uhr) an, so kann man direkt sehen, ob es regnet und mit welchem Untergrund (nasse, matschige oder trockene Wiese) man rechnen muss. Man kann auch schn sehen, was sich die letzten Tage getan hat, ob man selber gieen muss oder nicht. Einzig die Befestigung des Gertes macht mir noch “Sorgen”, zur Zeit habe ich es einfach auf dem Gartentisch stehen, weil der weit genug von Gebuden, Bumen etc. weg ist, aber bei starkem Wind, drfte der dort nicht lange stehen bleiben, da wre eine gute Befestigung von Nten.

Eine schöne Ergänzung zur netatmo Wetterstatio
Der Regenmesser ist eine nette Spielerei und schne Ergnzung zur netatmo Wetterstation. Prima ist die Information, dass es regnet, aber ich wrde mir wnschen, dass nach dem ersten Tropfen schon eine Mitteilung erfolgen wrde und nicht erst als Information des Durchschnitts der letzten Stunde.

It’s a nice piece of kit and works well at detecting even small amounts of rain but it needs to be very close to the base station which makes it hard to position away from the shelter of the house

Pluviómetro bueno
Es necesario que el pluvimetro est en vista de la unidad principal que restringe donde se puede colocar. Una vez colocado en posicin funcion bien. Como en mi caso est en la terraza hay que informar a los visitantes que no es un cenicero!

Etwas teue
Das Gert funktioniert und war auch einfach zu installieren. Den Preis finde ich etwas zu hoch gegriffen.

A compact clever rain gauge but you need to read the small print.
The unit arrived within a box that contained instructions. The downside, was that it was only apparent on reading the instructions that it required a special mounting bracket to fit the device outside. My criticism here is that this should have been made clear on the advertising information provided by the manufacturer on the website. After a couple of weeks wait the bracket I had to order separately arrived and I then proceeded to install the device. It requires to be paired with the PlayStation and you need to do this inside the house where the main control unit is located. To do this, you will need to remove the plastic tag that activates the battery pack inside. A word of warning though, you need to read the installation instructions before you do this so that as the battery energies the unit it begins to seek the base station. With the device paired it was set up outside as per the instructions contained within the box. The technical information indicated that the rain gauge was capable of communicating with the base station up to 100 m however modern houses with double glazing that has energy-efficient coatings and aluminium film cupboard insulation within the structure of the building significantly reduce the range. In practice, with a device mounted only 5 m away from the house, the radio signal dropped from 5 bars to 1 bar. ( occasionally, weather permitting, it would say two bars however when rain setting, the precipitation interferes with the radiocommunication).

It is possible to reset its calibration however I found that the factory settings were approximately correct and by comparison with expected rain right and totals, these compared favourably with the gauges readings.

It is a clever device but you need to be aware that it is significantly affected by crosswinds, indeed at its location in a coastal setting with significant crosswinds, it will under read, though not by too much. We also tend to get heavy water laden coastal fog and this condenses within the catchment funnel and will register as rainfall. Overall I am very pleased with the device.

Nettes Gerät, Netatmo insgesamt hat mich enttäusch
Mein Hauptargument fr den Kauf einer Netatmo Wetterstation inklusive aller Module war die Integrierbarkeit in magenta smart home. Das hat ebenso wie die allgemeine Installation und die Einbindung in Alexa auch gut geklappt.
Der Regenmesser selbst ist zwar etwas klapprig und wirkt nicht gerade hochwertig, solange er tut, was er soll, war mir das aber eigentlich egal.
Gerade den Regenbeginn misst er nicht besonders zuverlssig (relativ kleines Auffangbecken), aber im Groen und Ganzen wre ich hiermit zufrieden gewesen.
Leider ist der Windmesser (beim Thema Markisensteuerung leider absolut entscheidender Faktor) der Netatmo-Station vllig ungeeignet, deswegen muss ich auf ein anderes System umsteigen und werde das Gert nicht weiter nutzen.
Den direkten Vergleich gewinnt die Wetterstation von Homemativ ohnehin (grerer Auffangtrichter, deutlich wertigeres Modell, einfacherer Aufbau).
