Bought this to replace an awful petrol machine (also from amazon) that stopped working. Got fed up and got rid of it and bought this as a more compact solution.

I love it, i had a nilfisk before and this is slightly larger but in every way better. I think it has slightly more power but hard to remember. I love the hose reel and the pressure hose itself as it is very easy to wind up for storage and doesnt kink to often like others( all pressure hoses will kink to a degree). I love the power adjustment on the hose though i think its a little pointless as its still quite powerful on 1. Was relatively easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. Time will tell durability wise but my last machine did last quite well

Only complaint I have is that the hose attachment that came with it did fit my hose connector. I had to replace this luckily didn’t throw the connector away from my old power washer.

Tiny and confusing assembly instructions and NO operation instructions at all. Noisy but works well. All fittings difficult to attach and take off. Very easy to store and works well

Arrived without assembly screws. Amazon were great and arranged for unit to be picked up and a new one delivered the next day!
Very happy with this stylish and compact pressure washer. I didn’t have any problems connecting the bluetooth in-hand power control lance to the base as others have commented here.
Used it to wash the car and clean patio (with the attachment) and found it very useful to be able to control the pressure without having to return to the base each time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mid range pressure washe

This is a huge upgrade for my dad with his previous pressure washer and he loves it! You can choose from the various accessories that suit your needs and they all work like a charm. The long 8m hose makes it easy to get around my garden as it isn’t very big but perfect for the size of mine. All the moss that was growing for years has finally gone and it looks as new as ever.

I have a Karcher K 2.3 rated at 110bar, this is way more powerful. Is it 140bar I don’t know but just firing it with 1 hand you can feel the difference. No idea what the review are on about that you can’t clean patio slabs with it! It has plenty of power for this, I have riven Indian sandstone and it cleans this up no problem, if I use the power nozzle on level 3 it has a habit of blowing the grouting out from between the slabs.
The controls on the handset work fine but the only reason I got this one is because it came with a 8m hose it means I can almost do a car without moving it.
Overall a great pressure washer and the hose storage reel is great.
Who knows how long it will last but with a metal pump hopefully a fair while.

Very good control/ pressure and good lengths of leads. Makes more noise than expected but useful guide as to the right nozzle and 1-2-3 setting so feel confident using. Cleans very well. Easy to pack away and wheeled base pretty decent. Not as well built as a Karcher but so far nothing has broken.

Easy to set up and powerful too. I managed to blast the cat right off the car roof and over next door’s fence!! Amazing!

( not really – that was a joke. Just a jest about a flying cat)

First things first, the instructions did not make this easy to assemble. They were not very easy to understand, and so there was a lot of huffing and puffing getting this all together.

Once it’s assembled, it’s very nice and compact and easy to transport. The bottle attachment is unlikely to hold enough water for any job, but it can also be attached to a hose.

This is small, and so not massively powerful. It’s not going to give you power wash results like you see on the internet, but for washing your car or cleaning up outside it’s good.

The handle is not retractable, so it’s always up, which is a bit annoying – it means that the washer takes up quite a lot of space for its size. But other than, it’s a good little thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very compact and pretty good

I’ve had pressure washers from Bosch and Karcher in the past but this is my favorite so far; on a number of counts, which include performance and design.

Performance is the most important consideration and here, the Nilfisk shines; it cuts through standard seasonal grime really easily. Stains need a bit of cleaning fluid but that works well too.

The design is really attractive, which makes wheeling it out for use a little more pleasurable. It’s a nice thing to use. It’s a satisfying process. Everything packs onto the machine body and if you ever add a circular patio brush head, that fits on too. I like that.

There’s a bit of assembly required, more than usual, but instructions are clear and straightforward.

As a unit it’s effective and easy to live with.

Nilfisk 128471255 Core 140 Bar High Pressure Washer with In-Hand Power Control for Home, Garden and Car, Blue

    The product.
This is a medium sized 140 bar bar pressure washer from Nilfisk

    Build.
It is very well made but light enough to easily move around. It has onboard tool storage and a long cable. I also have the 130 bar one which is smaller and juts as functional. However, sometimes I need the extra power of this one.

    Suitability.
It has a range of setting for car cleaning to drain blasting and everything the average user could want. The trigger is nice and smooth. It produces quite a bit more water pressure compared with the 130 bar one.

    In use.
It is easy to use and manoeuvre around. I tend to use this one less that the 130 bar one as this one I keep for yard cleaning and drain channel blasting which it is ideally suited for. Yes, it will be fine for vehicles etc, but the smaller one is easier to lug around.

    Overall.
This is a powerful pressure washers suited to big jobs. It has worked perfectly in the 3 months I have had it. It has plenty of power to jet out drains and clean stable floors. I find the smaller 130 bar one is used more but this one comes out for those bigger jobs. Again, it’s from Nilfisk so it’s a well-respected make and lives up to that given all the use the two pressure washers I have from them have had.

I haven’t had a pressure washer before so nothing to compare but I am not technically minded and I built it and got it going no problem. Attaching the hose to the machine connection needed a good firm shove the first time but easier now. Does a great job.

This replaced an older one which lasted over ten years. It performs well and the variable power controlled from the handle is useful. Two heads and a shampoo dispenser are included. Didn’t find it difficult to assemble as some other reviewers had said. One minus point though. The power control communicates with the main body via Bluetooth or similar wireless. The instruction leaflet is completely vague about this and the little pictures explaining how to sync them useless. No words to help in the instructions. I figured it out eventually, but a scrap of paper explaining it in English would be useful. The item is reasonably robust. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the old one.

This pressure washer offering from Nilfisk is replacing my slightly ageing Karcher washer and after a good solid month of use I have to say I am really rather please I opted for this over a replacement Karcher. It’s a great pressure washer and has more than enough power to tackle any jobs I have thrown at it so far including cleaning the car, patio and even my garage roof.

It’s rated 140 bar maximum pressure but you can control this via a simple dial on the main unit if you need to turn the pressure down for more delicate or controlled jobs. It has the usual auto stop/start technology so when you press the trigger it will fire water out and automatically shut off when you release the trigger again. Power output is 1800w and I have found over the years that this output combined with a minimum 140 bar is the lowest needed really to be adequate for all jobs. Yes, you can buy cheaper, lower power models, but experience tells me they are just not worth it as you don’t get anywhere near the cleaning power you would want or need out of a higher power and pressured model. If your thinking of saving a few quid just don’t. My advice is push yourself to spend the additional few pounds as you really won’t regret it in the long run.

The hose length on this model is around 8 metres which is fine for my needs but you can always invest in a Nilfisk 128471255 longer hose should you need to. The hose is wrapped and stored neatly away inside the unit itself when not in use so no worrying about having loads of hose reel lying around. These washers tend to come available with just a few basic accessories but you are able to buy more specific and niche tools to expand your cleaning options bugbear in mind all this can mount up if you need a lot, however the basic model covers most basic jobs just fine. The washer lance is stored on the side of the main unit when not in use and is spray adjustable at the end for pinpoint control or you can twist the end to open up for a wider area spray arc.

The pressure washer body comes with a fixed handle and wheels for easy manoeuvrability. I do wish the handle would collapse down for storage but that’s really my only small gripe. Other than that the unit works perfectly and as expected. I can’t fault it in any way and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. It’s a reputable brand that has been around for years designing and improving these models year after year to ensure they are robust and durable. Price is comparable to other premium brands but I am a firm believer in you pay for what you get with this type of thing. Good solid cleaning option for all tasks.

Premium brand offering quality and reliability. Cleans everything with ease.

Over the last year I’ve been in the lucky position to test several pressure washers. Each one of those was a Karcher, I tested a K2, K4, K4 premium and K7 smart control, this – I believe – should aid with a giving a comparable review for this Nilfisk Pressure Washer.

I wasn’t entirely sure of this device upon receipt as I’d never heard of the brand and upon looking at the box image, it looked somewhat strange in design. However upon building I’m over the moon with it. Never judge a book by its cover as they say!

Firstly the box is compact and everything was there! I’ve had issues with others in the past with screws being missing etc but each part was sealed, identifiable and well packed.

The instructions are simple to read and understand, other brands can be very confusing. For comparison the K2 needed a magnifying glass and qualification in structural engineering to understand. The instructions in this were perfect for everyone, even a chimp could understand these. However I couldn’t find any explanation for the pressure control/battery usage, I will come to this further down.

What I love is the simplicity, the majority is click and then one screw in the designated zone to securely hold together. When you’re first installing the main pulley bar, only place one screw in the right rear designated section. You then place the lance holder on and the second screw for the left side hole of the pulley bar is screwed tight into the same hole. I went off my own initiative and found that I’d blocked the hole needed by putting the screw in too early.

They’ve really thought this through with design, as mentioned above, the simplicity means you’re not overrun with bolts and screws and the way parts lock shows it’s had a lot of attention on the design floor.

The wheels on this device are some of the best I’ve seen on a pressure washer, you’re probably thinking – ‘who cares about wheels”. Well they’re important, on every other device I’ve used they wobble to some extent and you end up with dirty water inside the joints. You then spread this all over the place and you’ll also find them difficult to move around. On this they’re sturdy and allow for excellent manoeuvrability around the garden.

In the box you’ll find a battery, this fits into the neck of the trigger, it has a compartment with a tiny screw hole (you get the screw driver but it’s not the best). Others have complained their battery was flat, I had no such issue.

Once the battery is installed you can change the flow rate for the pressure on the trigger head. I have only seen this on the K7 that I previously tested, normally within this price range you would have to turn the lance to reduce or increase. Really nice touch to have this, simply press to increase or reduce with ease.

On the rear of the pressure washer there’s two compartments for your pressure heads and even a holder section for the cleaning solution bottle, again so well designed and thought out. There’s even a pin tool to clear the nossles out if they’re blocked! On the front you have a manual turn reel for the pressure hose.

I found the hose to be perfect for my garden but the lead wasn’t the longest I’ve seen. I have a socket in my garden so it was fine for me but be aware of this.

Another thing I love is the connection for your hose. Ordinarily you find them built into the device and depending on the type of connection you have, you cannot interchange. You can with the connection on this, so if you wish to convert it’s easy to do. When you’re using a pressure washer make sure it’s off first and then allow your lance to flow through water from your hose before turning on.

The connections between the head and lance are decent too. They lock securely and tight, simply turn the lance to release and press the blue button to change heads.

Both heads have different functions, they’re named clearly and on the rear there’s an explanation for the functionality of each. The gentle is similar to all pinpoint nossles and the the rough produced a wider spin flow. On the more premium Karchers you get this and within this price range it’s excellent to see this.

When using the solution bottle it sits into the lance exactly like a nossle head. You use this for foaming then change over to a different nossle for clean up.

Performance wise the device is in line with the K4 I used. The maximum pressure is 140bar, it cleaned my blocked paving equally to others. I noticed zero difference and again this is excellent.

Personally I prefer the pinpoint accuracy on block paving as not to lift sand in the gaps but the rough nossle worked very well due to the fact you can reduce the pressure via the trigger.

I used the solution bottle to go over my car with soapy water which I’d diluted then used the rough nossle on power three for the wheels and changed to gentle for the paint work. It brought it up wonderfully.

There isn’t really a single complaint I have with this, maybe the lead could be longer but that’s it. The price is excellent, the design, the features and one last thing. It weighs next to nothing, so so easy move around and obviously store. It lives in my loft and was easy to carry.

Honestly for the price it’s a bargain.

Easy to put together and comparable to my Karchers

So I have donated this Nilfisk jet washer to my ski boat club, it gets used loads way more than a normal household would use it and for quite extended periods like multiple boats coming out the water at one time and all waiting to use it.
We have also used it to clean a large decking area with great success.
Everyone at the club has said the are really happy with it I love the length of the line and how it doesn’t really tangle like others I have had in the past.
The only issue I have found is my spray gun is meant to have a wireless power control and this has never linked and worked. But it has plenty of power anyway so I’ve never been fussed.
It’s simple to put together out of the box it took me around 25-30 minutes with very clear step by step instructions.
It has been in constant use for around 4-5 weeks now and I feel this would be over a year of normal use without any fault.
I will of course update the review if anything changes.
I hope this review has helped with your decision.

    Very good machine

My old k washer failed after 10 years needed a replacement and opted for the Nilfisk core 140. And so far I am impressed, the in hand controls I can see being temperamental in the future but the pressure washer performs great and I would recommend to all.

First impressions: compact, reasonably powerful, light enough to carry around easily, easy to connect & to attach/detach accessories. Used so far only for car washing, for which it works very well. Probably not worth buying the Nilfisk snow foam lance & brushes: there are much better available separately for a similar price, & it makes a big difference to the basic price.

My only real complaints are that the graphics-only instructions for assembly are pretty horrible; & that the handle is neither telescopic nor foldable – a small design change that would make a big difference to how easy it is to store. Other than that, very pleased with it.

The first thing you notice when you take this out of the box is that the plastic is solid and has a real quality feel. I laid all the pieces put and followed to instructions to put it together. Do follow the instructions rather than put it up the more fun way as you quickly notice that the order.is important.

Once constructed it is a pretty solid unit. The screws fit nice and tight and the components fit snuggly with little to no gaps.

The washer comes with three nozzles, one for “gentle” washes, a rough one and one with a soap dispenser. The video shows me using the rough one to clean slabs in my front garden. It essentially works with two streams which rotate to create a circular jet which is way more powerful than the normal nozzle that i have used on pressure waters before. It did a great job on my slabs and they havent been cleaned for years. I have also since used the gentle and soap nozzle to wash the vmcsr and while this is nothing special in comparison with other brands, it does the job jusy as effectively.

The thing that really makes this stand out in my opinion is the hose reel. On all of the other washers i have used you are left trying to work out where to put the hose pipe. This one has a generous length of pipe which reels into the front of the machine tucking it away tidily and efficiently and effectively removes that problem.

    Great machine

The Nilfisk Core 140 pressure washer is truly a beast of a machine, probably only one step down from industrial pressure washers. With 140 bar of pressure available at maximum and 100 bar regular operating pressure, this is powerful enough to do pretty much any job you can think of.

A handful of well thought out features make this pressure washer stand out from the rest:
    – Power control on the gun which lets you select 60/80/100% pressure
    – Internal reel for simple and convenient storage
    – An 8m long hose which makes handling and using it so much easier

The washer is a breeze to put together and there are some Youtube tutorials and setup guides from Nilfisk to get you started if you’re struggling. As others have noted, check the CR2032 battery if you’re having issues as it appears to be dead on arrival in some instances.

My previous pressure washer was also a Nilfisk which lasted over 6 years without problems and I would say they’re now of similar quality to the top-end of Karcher. At this price, I’m slightly disappointed it doesn’t come with a patio cleaning attachment, but for 20 extra, it’s not the end of the world. For those who don’t need so much power or rarely use a pressure washer, a smaller unit will most likely suffice. However, if you’re getting your pressure washer out weekly to do the car, clean up the decking, or wash the garden tools, this is a fantastic piece of equipment.

Powerful pressure washer with nice quality of life features!

OK before I say anything else, I’ll say if you’re thinking to buy this, do yourself a favour and buy a pack of CR2032 batteries at the same time. Like other reviews have stated, my unit also shipped with a battery for the in-hand control dead on arrival, so needed a replacement just to get it started! You only need the one, but might as well pick up a pack and have a spare handy! OKAY! With that out of the way, onto the review…

There is some assembly required for this unit and you’ll need a Phillips (crosshead) screwdriver. I didn’t find it particularly difficult and got it finished in less time than it took me to drink a cup of tea. The instruction manual has all the steps pretty much laid out like LEGO, but if you do struggle, there is a step by step video on YouTube which you can find if you search “Nilfisk Core 140 Unboxing”. There are about 8 or so screws and a few bits of plastic that click into place and you’re done.

The first thing I noticed was how compact the unit is. I have owned a Karcher K7 in the past, which is basically the top of the line Karcher and that thing was an unwieldy monster. the hose winding back into the body and the handy plug cable management on the back really keep the whole package neat and tidy when not in use. Overall, I think this looks and feels really nice and sturdy. It has a bit of weight, but wheeling it about makes it pretty simple to manoeuvre and doesn’t feel overly heavy in use.

To give this a test run, I actually had a pretty demanding task for it… Last week I pulled up the old decking in my garden and the concrete beneath it was filthy with 15+ years of dirt, grime and rotting wood sitting on top of it. It was basically black with dirt. This smashed it with flying colours. I did use the rough nozzle and full power, but it probably didn’t even really need that. I then took on the moss on my walls, lowering it to its lowest power and it did a good job and left the paint intact, which was a bit of a surprise to be honest because it is getting on these days. Anyway, in use, if this can clean that part of my garden as well and as easily as it did, I have full confidence this would be up to any task. I “traded down” to this from my K7 and honestly, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything, in fact, this one is far more compact and storage-friendly and also about 1/4 the price. Overall I’m really impressed with this, in use it is totally fine and up to even pretty tough jobs, but it is all the small design choices that keep this thing convenient and friendly to use that I’m most impressed with. Despite the fact it’s on the cheaper end of the spectrum for a pressure washer, I don’t feel like it’s “budget” at all, quite the opposite in fact and think it punches well above its weight!

Great washer, punching well above its weight!

Fantastic machine, powerful and very easy to use. I like many other customers recieved a flat battery for the gun control, it wasn’t a issue for me as I needed it on full power. What a difference how the hose can be reeled in, makes it much more convenient.

Having had two Kartcher pressure washers prematurely pack up on me, I thought it about time for a change. Having read the reviews I settled on the Nilfisk for it more longer, flexible and retractable hose which make general usage much easier and tidier when not in use. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a really well-designed pressure washer from Nilfisk. I bought this Core 140 with In-Hand Power Control washer mainly due to the extra length of the hose (8m vs 6m) over the standard Core 140 model, rather than the necessity for in-hand control. The washer is easy to put together, although the instructions aren’t particularly the easiest to follow. However, there is an excellent official setup video from Nilfisk on YouTube which makes setup a breeze.

It works well with two nozzles supplied (gentle and rough) and it’s nice to be able to control the power while using it (60%/80%/100%). I love the hose system that is contained internally — very easy to roll out and pack away.

NOTE OF CAUTION: When I first built the machine the hand control did not pair and therefore the unit would not function. I checked everything and was about to return for a replacement, when I noticed some comments about the included CR2032 battery (brand: Maxell Asia Product). A number have reported that Nilfisk have supplied dead batteries and this turned out to be the case for me too. Swapping for a brand new CR2032 battery and the pressure washer worked straight away. So something to check if you have issues too.

Excellent washer, though BEWARE as dead CR2032 battery is supplied

This is great! Very lightweight in use and does a great job. I had a problem initially because it would not pair. I exchanged it and that was the same. They packed them with dead batteries! Appalling for such a price! A random button battery which was dead! Not even a decent make! That aside, I love the machine. I bought the snow foam bottle and it did a great job of washing my car which had been sitting on my driveway for months because of self isolating!
