Pricey but worth it…
Love these dumbbells! They are made very well and don’t take up a lot of room. I can adjust the weight easily and quickly during my workouts. The best part is that you can buy more weight if needed which I think I’m ready to do now. Highly recommend.

Natrlich sehr platzsparende Hanteln, wie man auf den Bildern sieht.
An der Verarbeitung ist mir soweit nichts negatives aufgefallen, auer, dass das NorthDeer Logo auf dem Schaumstoff, ber dem beim Training aber sowieso die Hnde sind, recht schnell abgegangen ist.
Preis-Leistung bin ich dennoch nicht 100% schlssig, ob die es Wert gewesen sind. Sicher sind die hochwertig und platzsparend. Wenn ich aber mal berlege, dass ich fr 6 Kilo Extra-Gewichtscheiben 55 zahlen musste, hoffe ich, dass ich nicht da hin komme ein Vermgen ausgeben zu mssen “nur” fr die Gewichte (fr ein Freihantel-Training mit minimalem Verletzungsrisiko sind meiner Meinung nach auch “Gerte” um die Hantel unkompliziert und “bungsgetreu” ohne die Gelenke zu belasten (wer will das schon mit hohen Gewichten?!?!?!) ablegen zu knnen notwendig), wenn ich mich steigere. Es gibt ja aber auch beim Krafttraining die Mglichkeit, die Geschwindigkeit der bung zu reduzieren und so proportional trotz selben Gewichts die bungsintensitt zu steigern. Ich denke, diese “fortgeschrittene” Technik werde ich hier verwenden, um die Gewichte voll auszureizen. Komfort ist echt super! Lassen sich noch immer gut rausdrehen, was ein Handgriff bei jedem Gewichtswechsel weniger ist, als bei anders montierten Hanteln. Auerdem ist der Schaumstoff an den Griffen echt angenehm zu greifen! Meine Hnde bedanken sich! Auch mein Nacken, wenn ich sie darauf lege um mit der Langhantel Kniebeugen zu machen! =)
Good quality, not too large
Good quality, not too large . I bought the 5kg set for a 60+ male who is quite fit to use in his aerobic exercise routines (Body Project). He’s using the 2.5kg weights to start, which are as heavy as you want when first starting with weights. They are a good size as he is able to use in fast moving exercises which would have been difficult with larger sized weights.

So attractive and well crafted it makes me want to use them – these won’t end up in the garage!
Beautifully designed, comfortable to use and a great space-save
I’ve had my eye on a pair of Northdeer dumbbells for a while and decided to bite the bullet and ordered some. They’re quite expensive, so it took me a while to talk myself into it, but I’m so glad I did. As you can see from the photo, the 10kg pair I received takes up so much less space than the cheap vinyl and concrete set I was using. They easily slide under the spare bed out of the way, whereas my old ones took up a lot of floor space. The Northdeer discs are a doddle to screw in and out and I can quickly and easily adjust the weights so that each dumbbell weighs roughly 2.5-10.2 kg to suit the sets I’m doing. They’re also beautifully designed and made — so gorgeous to look at. And the sturdy foam grip is so comfortable that I don’t even need to wear gloves when using them, as I did with the old dumbbells to avoid blisters. One temporary issue was that my set didn’t include the rubber rings, but I e-mailed Northdeer and straight away Dani got back to me to apologise and to tell me that a set would be in the post. A week later, they arrived (along with a nice hand-written apology). So, in summary, the product is well designed, well manufactured, compact, versatile, practical and comfortable. Even better, Northdeer seem genuinely interested in you having a good experience with them — they’re clearly very proud of their product and care about their customers. I’m very happy with my purchase and the way I’ve been treated.

Because they look really well styled, I can get away with leaving them sat on a coffee table in the living room without my wife asking me to move them. Having them to hand means that I use them two or three time more often than the ones put away in the cupboard and still using them daily. Gym equipment is normally out of site, out of mind. These get used.

Very well made. Have the 25kg version. The weights go on and off easily and secure well. Expensive yes, but the ability to vary the weight between 12Kg and 25kg is just what i need.

It’s odd what you miss when you are checking out a product page.
When I opened the package I was surprised to find that these high end, relatively expensive dumbbells didn’t come with a carry case. I checked back on the amazon product page to find there was no case shown in any of the photo’s or mentioned in the description.
My assumption, my mistake. There doesn’t seem to be an aftermarket one to be bought either.
The foam grips make these very comfortable to use.
The rubber rings fit in the groove between the weights but can be fitted in the middle of the larger weight disc if that is the only one in use for a few sets.
There is a 2Kg total weight combination for the 5Kg set not shown in the description. Start with just the bar, reverse the normal orientation of the two 0.75Kg discs and thread the internal threads onto the bar. This leaves the external threads pointing outwards, a potential hazard, but normal care in use would keep this from being a danger.

They are of very high quality, do not come lose and most importantly for me, they do not take up lots of space unlike the classic dumbbell. Very easy to screw on and add more weight. When I can afford it, I will be getting more plates. I can’t recommended them highly enough.

Es gibt natrlich gnstigere “Hardcore-Hanteln” fr Nachwuchs-Arnies am Markt. Wenn man die Dinger aber nicht in einem eigenen Fitnesskeller verwendet sondern z.B. im Wohnzimmer gerne mal schnell zur Hand haben mchte fr ein kleines Training zwischendurch eignen sich diese Hanteln wunderbar. Die Gewichte sind einfach zu wechseln, die Hantel liegt gut in der Hand und macht auch optisch was her. Die Gummiringe verhindern Cuts am Parkett wenn man sie ablegt und auf Grund der kleinen Gre lassen sie sich einfach verstauen.

As a Teenager i bought some cheap weights on a massive stand. It taught me that they’re uncomfortable to hold due to a line of sharp plastic from the mould and take up loads of space. Knowing this I bought these little beauties! They take up hardly any space, look good, feel great. It’s a very adult approach to exercise. 5 stars!

A really useful space saving set of dumbbells. After buying these for myself, I bought the smaller 2.5kg ones for my partner to use.
The only issue I have had with them so far was on 2 occasions they have been tightened too much, and have been extremely difficult to separate. On one occasion I had to use a strap spanner (normally used for vehicle fuel filter removal), and the other occasion I had to use some paracord wrapped in opposite directions and taped onto each plate, to loosen them. The instructions say to use WD40 or to tap them lightly on a hard surface, but there was no movement after following those instructions.

Superb in every way
After trying 4 pairs of other dumbbells, I found these to be ideal in every way. I have been using them for about a month and I have found nothing to complain about. They are perfect. Buy them; you won’t regret it. My 22 years old granddaughter admired them, so I have just bought her a pair.

Comfortable padded handle – it will be interesting to see how it wears. Spare bands provided for floor protection which is a nice touch. Well packed and arrived ahead of schedule. Very expensive and worth every penny.

I bought a smaller size of the North Deer dumbells and liked them so much that I have bought these heavier ones. The padded handle is very comfortable and I have never had any problem unscrewing the sections to change weight. Very convenient, compact and they look good too. Highly recommended.
praktisch und schö
Habe die 5kg Hanteln bestellt.Dann wollte ich noch Zusatzgewichte und die lange Hantelstange haben.Ist aber nicht ber Amazon nach sterreich lieferbar.Man muss den Northdeershop kontaktieren und bei einem Mitarbeiter bestellen,denn auch dort gibts standardmig nur eine Lieferung nach Deutschland.Hat super geklappt mit 4 Versandkosten.
Die 1,5kg Zusatz-Gewichte passen auf die 5kg Hantel,nur ist der Durchmesser grer.Strt mich aber nicht.
Man sieht es auf dem Fotodie groen 1,5kg Scheiben sind auen.
Die Langhantel hatmit dem Stangengewicht. 13,5kg und ich knnte noch zustzlich die 5kg der 2.Kurzhantel draufschrauben.Sehr praktisch!Fr muskulse Mnner ist die Hantelstange womglich zu kurz
