A lot of thought has gone into the design of this case, especially with regard to cable management. It has moulded channels and apertures in just the right places to enable cables to be routed to the motherboard and other peripherals in a very tidy manner.
My son (14 years), who had never built a PC before, managed to assemble a complete PC into this case, and made a very good job of it.
The simple understated look of this case is why I bought this (and price), it somewhat resembles the look of the new Xbox and I like it. It’s known for its sleek and clean lined look and feel.
The nzxt case is
Positives;
a quality case and has so much air flow it keeps my beast air cooler rig cool and quiet.
Strong tempered tinted glass to show off the internals
Great way to hide and manage the ridiculous number of cables in todays machines
Easy mounting SSD drives
Plenty of room underneath for air cooling my PSU
Filter on the front to catch dust for air intake
Negatives;
Plenty of Phillips head screws, why is everything not thumb screw by now?
No default standing GPU mount (if you want do this have to pay for a mount)
Single 120/140 mount on case ceiling, which means if you want AIo cooling you have to mount at the front (should never do) or have a 120/140 aio which is a joke.
Mounting 3.5 hDD required a lot of screwing and unscrewing it’s all too cumbersome but only really needs to be once (hopefully)
Overall if you like the understated look and clean lines basically a case that doesn’t look like a PC case (to please the wives/gf) and will air cool like me, get this!! – love i
Quite impressed by this case. I work in IT but haven’t built a PC from scratch for years and this case was nice to work with overall.
Everything worked that should so and I really liked the ease of cable routing, especially underneath the motherboard…there were so many different options to route cables and things to tie them down to, which was important since the insides are visible once assembled.
My only criticisms would be:
1) that the quality of the thumb screws and threads felt poor and could easily be threaded if extreme care is not taken (important since these are likely to be screwed/unscrewed many times through the life of the product unlike some of the internals components).
2) not enough standoff screws supplied…my motherboard required 3 (average I would think) and there was only one extra for the case.
TIP: Take your time when assembling and never never force anything.
Good value for money. Does what it is supposed to do well.
