I needed a new dash camera as my current one has broken. Trying to find the right one was tricky because there are so many which are alike and at similar prices. I found this one which appeared to be one of the cheaper ones and had good reviews.
It comes in a nice neat box which includes everything you need to set it up and view footage at a later date. It comes with instructions on how to set up, which I didn’t need but handy to have. The only issue i has was the memory card that I had (which was the right size and class) didn’t work. But I contacted the support email and they helped me sort the issue.
The actually dash camera build quality seems to be very good, it has a metal body which gives it a premium feel. It has a large screen on the rear which is nice and clear.
Like any dash camera it was easy to set up in the car and thanks to the small clip it sits nicely out of view of the windscreen.
I have played back the footage on both a computer and then my phone (one downloaded). Its very easy to view footage, you simply connect the cable to a computer via USB and it allows access straight to the files which can be viewed easily, no software required. The quality is good, one thing to note is I believe the camera lenses is fish eyed, so footage at either end of the screen can appear stretched, but this isnt an issue. It allows a wider view which is good. The quality appears very good and number plates/signs can be viewed. The audio playback is very very clear as well which I was surprised at. This can be turned off in the settings if you don’t like to listen to your own singing voice.
All in all a great camera at a great price.
Overall a great piece of kit for the money. Very easy to set up and use with only a few drawbacks. Already caught some bad driving on the road that could have resulted in an insurance claim if not for quick reactions.
Pros:
Camera quality is fairly good for the price
Nice wide angle lens
Very easy to set up
Can be set up and driving in minutes
Cons:
Cable may need some management i.e. tucking into the headliner and A-arms on driver side or passenger depending on preference
No SD card provided – company will provide one if you leave 5 star feedback
Menus can be a little annoying to use at first – not abundantly clear in the manual how to use the sub-menus
To use certain features i.e. overnight recording/motion sensing it needs to be hooked into the existing electrical supply/battery. There is no documentation or guidance on how to go about this.
If you’re looking for a dash-cam for peace of mind when out on the road (as I was), don’t spend hundreds. The video quality on this is excellent with a great frame-rate. Night vision is perfectly adequate when used with the car’s lights. It feels quality and well-made and looks fab, too. Set-up was super easy as it’s just plug-and-play. The only downside is that the the included charging cable takes up an entire cigarette lighter slot in my car (my car only has one so this was a problem as I like to charge my phone on the go). This problem CAN BE SOLVED because it will charge via USB using the included mini USB cable.. Though I suggest buying a longer cable if you want it to look tidy in your car.
Bought to replace an old dash cam. Easy to set up as used my old ones cables. Come with cigarette adaptor but only one usb cable on it. Which is ok unless you need to use this for more than one device eg sat nav! I used my old connector as it allowed for 2 usb devices to attach to the 1 adaptor. Nice wide picture. Don’t forget to order a memory card too as doesn’t come with one !
Takes a few seconds ( approx 5) to load up when you first start up car – so fingers crossed nothing happens in this time as it won’t capture it. Definitely takes longer than my old dash cam !!!
Not tried to watch any thing back yet so can’t comment on this.
For the price, this is brilliant. Obviously pay for what you get. Night vision doesnt work amazing, you can still see etc but lights will blind it, but I still managed to get a reg plate of a car that I needed via computer and you see so much more. Dont really use motion detection (should start!!) But the quality is good, amazing when the SD card is plugged into a laptop.
I mentioned I had a problem with my camera and within 24 hours I had a response from them telling me they will send a dash camera out at no cost to me. So now i have 2 working cameras which they sent out and one camera wire which doesnt like to work. Great company. They care for their customers. Will return to them in future and will be recommending
Great little dash camera, does what it says it will without fuss or fiddly set up. For the money this dash camera is great value, it adds peace of mind knowing you are automatically recording video of every journey you make. Images are clear and in sufficient resolution to detect number plates and road detail. Excellent product.
Spot on in every way!
I bought these in January, as some bell whacker drove in to my wife, and to be fair, it would seem that the roads are full of bad drivers where we live …. so it was only a matter of time!
These things are compact and the image quality is spot on! As I’m a Mac user, I did have to contact the support team for al little help with som playback settings, but after that, we really couldn’t be happier with them.
Give them a go, because the peace of mind the camera gives you when you’re on the road is definitely worth it!
We also had a bit of a trip to Portugal, and we got some quality memories with them too, which was an unexpected bonus as I never thought of using it that way!
he first thing i noticed about this product was the build quality – really solid feel to it. the next was how simple the menu was to navigate. i didn’t read the manual, simply turned on put in the memory card and got going. took a couple of minutes to set my options and then i simply forgot about it – just hidden away in the corner of the windscreen. it comes on when the ignition is on and turns itself off when it’s not.
video quality is more than ok and the wide angle is very good. i have messed around with a few cheap ones and glad i spent the extra for this one. don’t regret it.
i cannot comment on the more advanced features like the impact detection or parking assist, but for the simple use, it’s working an absolute treat!
The picture quality is amazing and it picks up great quality audio.
The usb adapter could have been a bit longer but the plug in wire what goes into the cigarette lighter is more than enough.
Great piece of ki
So with this great dash cam I now have a video back up if required to go with my phone call if required.
Works perfectly well all day haven’t looked at the footage on playback but the screen image is sharp and clear and with a very wide camera angle I am get a good portion of the road ahead covered
Highly recommended
The dashcam turns on and off automatically when I turn on or off the car. It makes me not be worried about forgetting the switching the cam on. On this matter, three times the dashcam did not turn on when I turned on the engine. I had to turn the engine off and turn it on again to have a response from the cam. I am still monitoring it so, it is early to say if it is an issue with the product. It is the reason why I am giving it four stars.
The cam produces good imagines. I would say that during the night it would be difficult to recognise the car’s plates. But, it is an inexpensive dashcam, so, I cannot complain that much. I am happy with this purchase and I recommend it. I feel more safe driving after having this dash cam.
Alongside recording video footage it can also capture audio clips as you’re driving and has a wide angle view to see all the road and footpaths. I’ve set mine up and forgot about it in the background whilst driving now!
My one draw back with this dashcam is the connection cable, it’s a fully enclosed cigarette charger connection point which I’ve had to create a solution using another USB to micro cable to enable use of multiple devices from the charger point (Sat Nav and Dash Cam) which I was not aware of on initial purchase.
Observations – Charge it up for a while in the house from your PC or a USB charger before you set it up or you’ll end up having to re-enter date, time, car registration etc.
Buy a memory card and some cable clips, the amazon bundle suggestion is good enough. If you use another device that requires a 12v supply then also buy a different adaptor cable with a USB port built into the plug. as I did. The camera will stay off if your car doesn’t provide power when the ignition is off, so parking mode may not be any use to you.
It seems robust, and the screen mount is solid and easy to put in and take out, unlike some others I’ve used for mobiles and TomTom devices.
The sound playback from the device itself is really quiet, even at full volume, but I can’t see how this would ever be a problem for me. Frankly, I find it a bit creepy having a mic recording everything that happens in the car anyway, so would rather not have audio at all.
It wasn’t compatible with some older micro SD cards I had, so ended up spending another 11 on a 32gb card to make it work, but that’s okay.
I’ll have to see if there’s a way to wire it directly into the car, as it does take the 12v supply and turns off as soon as it’s unplugged. It’s supposed to do that, as that’s the way it knows to stop recording when you turn off the car, but it means I can’t use it and charge my phone at the same time.
Hard to fault really it really. Good price, good kit, easy to use. I’m about to purchase a second one for our other car.
Works straight out the box..
I’m a wedding film maker so I know own what video quality should look like and I am so impressed in both day and low light/night time driving..
For the price it’s so ******* good man…
Built solid with everything needed to mount even to a large car..
Get 2, one for the front and for the rear as we know what some of the drivers are like nowadays, not only women drivers but all drivers…
Only 1 small negative – if you have big fingers the buttons can be tricky but would not put me of recommending it to family and friends. Buy you won’t be disappointed.
Extremely simple to install. Had it plugged in and set up in 5 minutes. Very adjustable too!
I have not found a better dash cam to date, much better than the more common dash cams that cost 50-100 or more in my opinion.
100% would recommend to anyone!
Very happy with all the features it offers, G-sensor, motion detector, parking mode. The quality of the picture is decent enough although night time recording is barely visible, even with maximum exposure. I park it in a dark street though so this could be expected. The only issue I have that it does not seem to have an option to automatically start overwriting the SD card once it is full, I had to do this manually (format the card) every time the card reached its limit.
Easy to fit, very long cable is a bonus, good picture quality and easy to follow menu.
Just put the card on , start-up the engine and here we go.
A couple of friends who saw the camera and the images , were very impressed and already place the order for their cameras.
Keep up the good work.
I’m happy, because my order arrived before Xmas within the expected delivery time. After inserting the SD card, it was easy to adjust the cam. It records in quite good quality, I don’t want to make any 3D movie. Recordings can be viewed on this device, or on your laptop. I am looking forward to use my dash cam, and I am sure, I will be happy with it.
Well, all the settings were straight forward – except the infrared settings which aren’t explained in the manual, I found out that FLASH is the actual setting for INFRARED (i think).
The camera itself seems well built and has a good feel to it, Its heavier than the normal camera so let’s hope the sucker pad can keep it on the window, The picture is 1080p FHD and shows all the road, Don’t forget to format the 32gb card before you use it!
Overall its a good little camera
At first I was a little apprehensive, but not to worry I fitted this early January, it has been in a month it takes good quality video switches on automatically with the ignition.
I have looked back through the looped footage and it is great quality.
Love the parking feature.
Very pleased.
Delivery was super quick and installation was very simple. The menus are a little tricky to get used to but you only need to set the settings once and then you can forget about it.
All in all, very happy with my purchase.
Customer service is quite good as well. The car charger that came with the unit did not work, but when I contacted the seller they immediately sent out a replacement. The replacement arrived after a week, and worked fine, so all is well!
As for durability, I gave it 5 stars even though I haven’t had it long enough to judge, but it seems well-built and it should last well enough with normal handling.
Picture quality seems to be great on both photo and video modes – I haven’t had chance to use it much yet, but look forward to reviewing some of the footage. Build quality also seems decent for the price.
I would recommend i
I will use this as a rear view car cam.
With the large viewing screen it can be seen in my interior mirror, Ideal for parking.
Setup was easy, I always use the highest resolution on any camera.
Not so good at low light, I have not noticed any use the flash has, might be OK with the car headlight on but as its being used as a rear cam….
Image quality is good enough to read number plates and identify faces, what more do you need.
I have taken screen shots from the video, quite happy with the results.
In conclusion, does the job and is value for money
Video quality is again very similar to a phone’s capabilities, sensor is a bit weak in low-light conditions, the poorly lit parts are suffering from grainy imaging, but sharpness and contrast is better than expected, licence plates are readable most of the time.
Exposition correction is quite fast, takes around 0.5-1 second, when switching from dark to bright, and the same when switching from bright to dark. (You won’t loose much footage when going through a tunnel, only entering and exiting it). It has infrared lights around the lens, which can be turned on from menu (it is labeled as “flash” which is a misnomer in my opinion). At first I thought it was not working, as I couldn’t turn on the LEDs, but then I realized they are emitting infrared light, which is invisible for the naked eye. However, on the recording there is a nice big patch of light visible, and it allows for “night-vision” recording.
You need to use a fast SD-card (class 10), otherwise your video quality will greatly suffer from loss of details. I would recommend a 32 GB one, as it allows for ~3 hrs of recording, before starting to overwrite oldest files. (Video length can be changed between 1 min, 3 min, 5 min so recording can be looped indefinitely)
Installation is quite easy with the provided accessories, and charger is long enough to hide it in the upholstery around the windshield, so no distracting dangling cables in the middle of the dashboard. The cable is mini-USB type, and is fixed to the cigarette-lighter adaptor, so if you use multiple devices, a USB-hub is recommended instead.
Video recording automatically starts on ignition, and stops when ignition is turned off. The device plays a chime during power-on and power-off (can be turned off, but it is a nice feature to have). Built-in battery capacity is very minimal, cannot be used without a charger, only purpose of the battery is to save the footage when you turn off the ignition.
Video quality is excellent during the day with the video recordings very clear and smooth. At night the quality suffers a little but I still think it is of good enough quality to sufficiently capture driving. I have posted a video of day and night driving (on everyone’s favourite road the M1) to give you an idea of the video quality.
Build quality is good, the side buttons could be a bit higher quality but they all work fine. The product is also very easy to attach to the windscreen using the suction cup provided. The charging cable (which you need to make sure is always attached as the battery life is very short as with most Dash Cams) is sufficiently long to ensure you can feed it around the side of the car.
The usability is also very good and it pretty much works straight out of the box with no setup required so long as you have a micro SD to use in it. The default is to record 3 minute segments which are each about 300mb in size, however you can make these segments shorter or longer if required. If you want to change any of the settings the menu navigation is reasonably intuitive and straight forward (especially compared to some other Chinese manufactured tech products that I have purchased).
One area for improvement would be for it to better capture car number plates, but realistically this is probably beyond the scope of the product considering its price point.
Overall I would definitely recommend.

Very impressed with it all so far.
Turns on and off with car ignition.
Have hid the cable to cigarette lighter around the seals above, down car door seal and under dash.
After getting a memory card and turning on you can change the settings. For example turn the audio off.
Simple to stop recording if you want it to by pressing ok then press again to start recording.
The camera is well made and feels like it should be much more expensive than it was.
The camera is so easy to use, I suggest you plug it in and play about as quite intuitive.
Buy a class 10 micro SD card and basically away you go.
The camera is excellent at night capturing quality videos at night.
The screen is wide-screen and captures both sides of the rd, but it means the picture isn’t or not as zoomed in as it could be. The camera comes with many extras like parking sensor and sensor to record anyone trying to steal your car.
Set up is a doddle and I am a female technophobe. It fixes very securely to the windshield, no chance of falling off when driving however bumpy the road. The picture is crystal clear even on night journeys. It switches on automatically when ignition is switched on. Lead is plenty long enough to reach 12v socket. Lots of features and a clearly written manual/instruction booklet. I am more than happy with my Orskey.
It didn’t.
Back to the instructions to find out how to enter setup menu manually.
A bit different in that a double click on menu required to enter setup, but easy once you knew how.
Camera appears to record clear pictures and offers what seems excellent value for money.
You will not be disappointed, provided reliability does not become an issue then this is an excellent piece of kit.
Picture is pretty good for the price, the UI is easy enough to navigate however on small devices like these it is never perfect.
Definitely would buy again/recommend to anyone looking for one.
I have to say I’m impressed. The build quality is great, the screen size is perfect and it is easy to navigate through menus. I’ve only used it on one journey, to test it out, and so far so good. Very happy with the product for the money.
This picture quality is pretty good considering the price. At night its ok. You can see number plates when stationary and its enough to see who was in the wrong etc. In the day the pictures is very good. Easy to see number plates etc.
Very good value IMO.
Reviews on this car cam are a mixed bunch but happily read as being much more likelihood to be honest reviews that have not been written by paid users or employees.
I take my writing reviews very seriously.
The cost of this carcam is a little above the average for basic entry equipment. You have to add the cost of an appropriate SD card which in this day and age is a sad failure.
My card, of decent quality cost just shy of an additional 10.00.
I have prime membership and the camera was delivered very quickly. (Less than 24 hours) I cannot say what delivery will take for non prime members.
MY MAJOR CRITICISM AND LOSS OF STAR. The instructions booklet will be fairly useless to a huge number of users.
The print is incredibly small by least half of the print that you are reading now. Font 2.
I need reading glasses at power 2 but still had to use a powerful magnifying glass.
Instructions themselves are amongst the best that I have encountered as too many are incapable of making any sense.
These instructions are fairly clear.
THE CAMERA.
There are a number of push buttons for functions such as menus or zoom.
The buttons are a decent size and easy to use AS YOU HOLD THE CAMERA.
Using the buttons when the camera is in place could be, no, will be very awkward for the majority of users so best advice is to set everything up B4 mounting.
I completed the Date, time and loop preferences nice and quickly.
Attaching the camera to the windscreen mount is by screwing the mount and camera together in the same way as an everyday camera to a tripod.
A blinking red light is present whilst in use.
The picture is a little darker than I would like and I can find no reference in the instructions to lighten the recording pictures.
I have not used the review of filmed material.
The camera appears to be made of a moulded hardened plastic.
Connection to the supplied power cable is simple. The cable (which ends in a gigarette lighter type plug) is very long but this is intended to allow cable to trace around windscreens and similar.
A shorter usb cable is supplied for attaching to a computer or similar.
Overall, I am happy that all is as it should be. All is working as it should at present.
Instructions could be a little clearer but nothing that stops you getting it installed and running quickly.
It wasn’t clear on the Amazon description that this device requires a class 10 sd card which caught me out.
I ran the recording on my pc and could make out number plates very well so very pleased. Some nice features and a clear picture.
Overall an excellent dashcam for the price.
It looks good, it is very easy to use , actually you don’t have to do anything just plug it in and attach it on your dashboard. Very good picture quality at day and at nigh! If I ever need to use the records on it then I know that it would be the high quality one.
Firstly i was impressed that this only cost 10 quid more than my cheap and nasty one
When it arrived i knew it was a good decision because the build quality was excellent…it was well put together and unlike most polymer based shells….the shell fitted together very tightly and looks very professional
The cam itself looks quite stylish and definitely well built
Its not without its issues…i noticed 2 little things that bugged me a little
So despite the rest of it looking so good and very professional….the side buttons just look like a cheap addition
They are solidly attached and dont wobble unlike most like that but they just don’t quite fit the aesthetic of the product
Not that this matters when you’re driving this is just me being picky
The other thing is that the ball joint on the suction cup is just a little loose
Its set up same way as most of the sat navs but its a bit stiff to twist the hexagonal ring to tighten up and limit its ability to move
Whilst i haven’t had any issues with it yet if i catch the lead in my boot then it might end up pulling it out of position so id need to twist and align it again
But if this could be tighter so a little knock would make virtually no difference that would be ideal
Other than that ihavent got anything to criticize really
The UI is very clear and fairly easy to use
One thing that i really like about this which sets it apart from most cheaper end is the features on the os
So it has features like it will turn on if people walk in front so it can catch potential burglers
It auto turns off so i canhave it always plugged in
It has a cool feature called parking mode which though i havent used it yet when i was messing seems it senses when you’re reversing and beeps like parking sensors do (or at least thats what i thought it was doing )
It also has geostabilization so it senses when knocked or if the car is hit and automatically records and locks the footage so you can’t delete it onthecamera
To save space it has a loop function so if nothing hapoens in x time it rerecords over it
It also came with a very long lead which is great if you have to put it in your boot and train the wire
Although my car has a plug in the boot and im weary of long wires because lasttime it got caught in theboot and chopped itin half so i had to manage with a too short one
To solve this i have tied ut with a rubber band though wouldbe good with some cable tie or sorter of its own
Overall for the price I am really really happy…its about on par with my expensive 100+ one i bought about 2 years ago
Very happy and its well built
Am buying another set for my other car!
was able to almost fully hide behind the rear view mirror
long power cable was able to run the power cable inside the head lining and down the pillar to the cigarette lighter
the dash cam powers on and off when the car is started and shuts down when ignition is off
easy to setup and good quality video footage just needs a micro sd card
would recommend
