Easy to use microwave
I really like this microwave because it has easy buttons to press for 1-5 mins, 10 mins for when you just want to cook a microwave meal, or reheat something and it is easy to change the power from full to defrost by pressing one button to get what you want. It is also very easy to clean. I’m really happy with it.
New microwave
Had a white one for years never had a problem with it so I upgraded to a black one to match the rest of the kitchen products, hopefully this one will last as long
A quick purchase as our microwave packed in at tea time and it’s used everyday. Very happy with it, we are quite tight for space as it lives in a cupboard, it fits perfectly with space around it. Fits a full size dinner plate and our tall glass jug easily. Very easy to use, there are simple quick use buttons and more indepth instructions if you wish. It’s used on a daily basis( I always forget to drink my coffee while it’s hot). Easy to clean. Extremely good value for money. Very pleased with it.
Two years and counting
Purchased this late 2022 – it’s now spring 2024 and the obvious plus is that it’s still working as it should 🙂
Pros:
Interior hasn’t degraded, no rust, no breakages. I guess the most important thing people need to realize when setting expectations for a microwave is that most are not built to withstand cooking, contrary to advertised. If you use yours for simply reheating food, it will last you a long time, won’t rust (my first microwave from the late 90’s is also still in use, has no rust, always used to reheat only).
It’s not too big, neither too small, so again, for reheating bar big plates and tall glasses it’s perfectly sized.
Cons:
One of the impractical things about using this microwave are the controls in a way. Yes, it’s got easy enough setting, but you always have to carefully watch what you’re doing. Despite having a “quick” button, it’s not so quick in reality – just adds 30sec. increments, opposed to 10sec. on standard buttons, so not sure what’s so quick about it. What you’d expect is one touch operation, but no, you have to press the Start button even if you used the Quick button, defeating its purpose. Our old one used to start right away with one press of the Quick named button.
You can only set time at 10 second increments and another downside is it’s not possible to add time while running – you have to stop it or wait till finished…
Light inside lights up when the door is opened and has no time after which goes off, so if you forgot the door opened, it keeps running in the dark
So, all in all, good and proven reliable in the last couple of years. If you can live with the practicality quirks, it’s a good all round choice.
Very pleased
Whated to upgrade our microwave but didn’t want a grill or oven attached. This was delivered quickly & it’s easy to use. Has different heat settings which you can change easily. Quick, one touch buttons too. Great product considering it’s at the lower end of the price range.
Small but good.
My mistake for assuming this was a larger microwave than it actually is – should have taken more notice of the published dimensions! The reality is that it works perfectly and has all the features we need. However, it is much smaller than our previous microwave and we cannot put some cookware items in this one.
Compact and reliable
I’ve owned this microwave for years and just bought my daughter a new one when her previous one wore out. It’s an excellent piece of equipment and after more than 5 years is still in great condition, no sign of rust or other deterioration. It’s only disadvantage is that the compartment is quite tight, so it will take a dinner plate, but nothing larger or with large protruding handles, so it may not be suitable for everyone. The counter argument is that it does not take up too much space on the work surface.
The Panasonic NN-E28JMMBPQ Compact Solo Microwave is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Despite its compact size, this microwave packs a punch with its impressive cooking performance. From reheating leftovers to defrosting frozen foods, it handles every task with ease and precision. The intuitive controls and straightforward interface make it a breeze to use, even for those who aren’t tech-savvy. Plus, the sleek design adds a touch of elegance to any countertop. If you’re in the market for a reliable and efficient microwave, look no further than the Panasonic NN-E28JMMBPQ.
I’m relatively sure this is a newer version of the microwave it replaced. For 99, what more do you want? Plug it in, ready to go. I don’t need a fancy a microwave, simple to use, adequately heats food up, nothing else is left desired from a microwave, would recommend.
It’s compact but not too small for my 10 inch dinner plate. It’s easy to use, although have to press two buttons to reheat coffee compared to one on my previous machine – no big deal. The silver looks nice although ideally I wanted stainless steel. All in all I’m very happy with this machine. The worst part was trying to work out if it was big enough due to faulty measurement given for turntable on diagram and also due to manufacturers providing one instruction manual to fit different models with different dimensions. Delivery by Royal Mail was inconvenient due only to the lack of a clear timescale for delivery nearer the time of delivery, nothing to do with the actual postie. I paid 75 for it and now a couple of weeks later its up to 99
The new microwave is easy to operate. It is the same size as my previous one and takes the same size plate and stand. It looks very nice being silver in colour. It works well and I am happy with it.
Purchased for my parents nine months ago. After using it for a while with no issues, the microwave suddenly started to emit a terrifying crackling noise, with smoke pouring out of the back. On removing the food, and trying again, it had the same result with nothing in it. Contacted Panasonic who requested photos and a lot of information (even the colour of the smoke!). They also asked my Father to remove a trim, which had burn/scorch marks behind it. To say this process was distressing to my elderly parents is an understatement, after the initial shock of the microwave malfunction. Panasonic say it is not a manufacturing fault and is down to the food being on the wrong setting with not the right amount of liquid (we are talking a small bowl of porridge here; how they know how much liquid was used and what the liquid was (milk/water), is beyond me) – so beware of making any mistakes as the microwave could start smoking and sparking. After a week and a half of sending photos and emails, they told us to contact Amazon! Poor service and a lot of hassle for an item well within the 2 yr warranty, which could have all been avoided if they’d told us to contact Amazon in the first instance. On contacting Amazon it was sorted without any fuss, returned and refunded. Thank you Amazon.
Quality Produc
Panasonic make great kitchen products. This is a well built small microwave, with easy digital operations. You can see what’s going on inside and it’s easy to clean. Yes, it holds a full size plate. A smart looking machine.
Delightful Panasonic Microwave
I bought this microwave as a replacement for my combination which had served me well.
What a joy – so easy to use. The simplicity is brilliant and the cook and reheat give perfect results.
One of my most successful purchases.
Wish I'd bought it soone
This microwave is fantastic. Perfect for 1-2 people. Heats up food quickly and evenly. My only gripe is that it’s quite small so it’s difficult to grab plates out of there with pot holders on either side. There’s just not very much room. In any case, I still love it.
Neat little ove
We had this microwave before and it’s done some work. It was getting a little rusty here and there, so we bought the same one again as it is perfect for 2 people.
great microwave
No issues, great microwave. Only thing I miss is the last one I had gave you an automatic 30 seconds when you pressed the start button, this one doesn’t you always have to select a time first. It’s a good microwave, I’ve been using it for 6 months.
A man’s view of a hot air frye
Initially very easy to use, also non stick surfaces equal ease of cleaning after use. Having previously had a two litre unit,I found it very restrictive as regards what you can air fry in it at a time. So I purchased this unit and find it far more useful re-volume and potential variety of food that can be cooked at time. The only modification that I have made is to shorten the recommended temperatures and times that have been advised by the producers of the food being air fried. This a little hit and miss but the slight effort is worthwhile for excellent results. I regard this purchase as ideal and perfect for my requirements.
Strange but true. We had a sharp MW before and chose this one because the dimensions were identical. When the new one came, apart from a few minor differences in the program options – it is identical, even the turn table and wheeled plate bearer are interchangeable which is great, and we didn’t have to get used to it. The one it replaced went rusty, I hope this one doesn’t! I find it easy to use, its instinctive. My wife preferred the quick 1 minute button on the old one whereas this one has a quick 30 seconds instead, so I’ve taught her to press it twice where upon the displayed cooking time changes from 30 seconds to 1 minute – so all is well. It also has a 1 minute button as well as the quick 30 but she finds that a little complex, don’t get me started on the various uses of the 10 second button.it appears well built but so did the last one and that rusted through, I’m hoping Panasonic are better at painting than Sharp, but time will tell!
