3rd one I had in 4 years good but if they put rubber sleeve at top think it would last longer/not go brittle in winter.just a suggestion.

Good fit for the door; shame about the key
The door works well, and my 2 Italian Greyhounds have mastered it. The ridiculously large key, however, was an issue until I had some stylish velvet house collars made especially for it by Doggy Boho. With their long and agile necks, having it dangle from a ring would have just given them something to chew on. The Doggy Boho collars I had made loop through the slot in the key, keeping it close while still loose enough to avoid digging into their skin.

It was a little bit bigger than I originally thought but we had no problems fitting it in the back door and Found it really easy to fit
This is perfect for a bigger dog, it gives them the freedom to come and go into the garden and the safety that only the pets with the electronic tag can enter.
It’s easy to use and easy to change the to the different function (fully open – anyone or anything can come and go, perfect for when your at home but don’t need to supervise your pet
electronic entry only; the door will only unlock if the pet has a special tag – this is perfect for when your pet is at home alone and can go into the garden by themselves
and Lastly – the lock mode – perfect for when your all away from home).
The door is louder than I thought and can take a while to go into lock down mode but all in all I think this dog door is great and our dog loves it.

My experience with installing and commissioning the dog flap was a pleasant job. Easy to understand manual with clear and concise instructions.
The dogs have adjusted to the new dog flap readily. It does not blow open in strong winds as my previous dog flap did.
My only concern is the price of the replacement batteries. But if they last six months then it will be more than ok.

This is my 2nd one it’s a very good quality door! Easy to install, I’ve 2 30 months old Labrador’s who bound threw it at great speed, the 1st survived 26 months then it wouldn’t work, I don’t use the collar tags just leave it open.

Door needed to allow larger did access to the house. Not yet on auto mode, waiting till dog stops jumping through it. Technically it works. Some time needed to train dog to door.

Preis Leistung sehr o.k, hat den Winter Test sehr gut berstande
Gute, nicht ganz billige Haustierklappe
Die Haustierklappe ffnet sich ber einen Smartkey und wird mit 5 Schlsseln verkauft. Die Schlssel fr die Tr kann an einem Halsband befestigt werden. Nur damit ausgestatte Tieren wird in der Einstellung ffnen mit Smartkey” der Zugang gewhrt. Es ist auch mglich die Klappe ohne Key zu verwenden. Es gibt neben der Smartkey Einstellung noch die Mglichkeit die Klappe dauerhaft zu schlieen oder offen zu lassen.
Die Klappe hat eine ffnung von 39,6 x 59 cm gro.
Wir haben sie in unseren Wintergarten direkt vom Glaser einbauen lassen, deshalb kann ich hier keine Aussage zu einem Einbau machen. Die Tr selbst erfllt Ihren Zweck hervorragend. Wir verwenden sie allerdings ohne den SmartKey.
Wir haben die Tr auch mit den Keys getestet, dies hat gut funktioniert und lie sich auch recht einfach einrichten. Die Tr macht auf uns einen stabilen Eindruck.
Den Preis finden wir recht hoch.
Haustierklappe
Diese Haustierklappe ffnet mittels Smartkey. Somit haben nur ausgewhlte Tiere Zugang. Die Klappe wird mit 5 Schlsseln verkauft. Die SmartKeys knnen einfach an dem Halsband befestigt werden.
Es gibt drei Verschlussmglichkeiten: dauerhaft eschlossen, dauerhaft offen und ffnen-mit-SmartKey.
Die Klappe ist von der Gre her fr groe Hunde geeignet, bis 45 kg, z. B. Labrador oder Schferhund. Der Ausschnitt ist exakt 39,60 x 59,00 cm gro.
Mein Fazit: Die weie Klappe passt am besten zu einer weien Tr. Sie funktioniert sehr gut. Das Signal der SmartKeys wird immer richtig ausgelesen.

Gute Idee
Elektronische Katzenklappen gibt es ja schon lnger. Diese funktionieren meistens ber einen implantieren Kennungschip. Diese Methode finde ich sehr praktisch, da es sinnvoll ist, jedes Tier chippen und registrieren zu lassen. Die Rckfhrung bei Verlust ist dann ein Kinderspiel.
Nun hat Petsafe eine sehr groe Klappe fr Hunde entwickelt, welche sich mit Hilfe eines Smartkeys, automatisch ffnet und schliet. Dieser Smartkey wird am Halsband befestigt und ist nicht sehr gro, bzw. fllt er bei mittelgroen bis groen Hunden nicht sehr ins Gewicht.
Kleine Hunden wrde ich den Smartkey nicht am Halsband befestigen.
Natrlich muss man sich vor dem Kauf erst einmal Gedanken machen, wo man die Tr anbringt. Ich wrde sie nicht an einer Haustr oder einer anderen Auentr anbringen, da sie recht gro ist und durch den doch recht dnnen Kunststoff ein zu groes Risiko vor “unerwnschten” Besuch darstellt.
So findet sie z.B. aber gut Platz in einem vom Haus separierten Hundezimmer, welches beheizt ist. Die Tr muss nicht mehr offen stehen und der Hund geht durch die Klappe und gelangt ins Freie, wann er mchte.
Dort befindet er sich aber nur bei Abwesenheit, sobald man daheim ist, kommt er natrlich in die “gute Stube”.
Die Anleitung gibt zum Trainieren, bzw. gewhnen des Tieres gute Tipps, mit welchen es ein leichtes sein sollte, seinen Hund an die Klappe zu gewhnen.

Die Qualitt der Tr ist auf jeden Fall dem Preis angemessen.
Die Tr ist natrlich nicht ganz dicht (Zugluft), aber doch wesentlich dichter, als das auf den Fotos hier den Eindruck macht.
Der Einbau dieser Haustiertr ist selbsterklrend und alleine gut zu bewerkstelligen.
Das Anlernen (Einstellung des Empfindlichkeitsgrades) luft danke der hervorragenden Anleitung (dabei Sender Mitte des eigenen Unterschenkels fixieren) super.
Unser Hund 7 Jahre/10 kg hat ganz ganz schnell herausgefunden wie es funktioniert.
Die 3 Funktionen (locked, unlocked, automatic) sind hier auf der Seite beschrieben. Daneben sieht das Bedienelement noch die Lernmodus-Taste”, einen Reset Button”, sowie die Empfindlichkeit-Einstellung vor.
Ein niedriger Batteriestand wird selbstverstndlich angezeigt.
Fehlfunktionen gab es bislang keine 🙂

Verner is an old dog but he learnt within a dya to listen for the clunk of the door opening. The key is obstructive to his personal comfort I think, ie digging in his throat when he sleeps. But apart from that easy to fit and doesn’t look out place. One thing is bit annoying. the door keeps locking and unlocking when Verner is in the vicinity of it, when on automatic, but that could be me not understanding the senisitivity instructions. I just have it on open when i’m in and automatic at night and when I’m not in.

Like to start by saying. This is a great product and my pup uses it with easy. The only problem I feel is the ridiculous large magnet/security bell that has to be attached to his collar! Ideally I would have preferred it working with his microchip saving him wearing a collar 24/7 plus he keeps chewing through the collars so that’s adding more expense to an already expensive produc
Eine tolle Lsung, damit unser Hund sich frei im Haus und auf dem Grundstck bewegen kann. Er hat die Klappe sehr gut angenommen, auch das etwas lauter ffnen der Klappe auf das Sendersignal strt ihn nicht!
Ich kann diese Klappe nur empfehlen!

Wenn die Tiere mit dem programmierten Anhnger in der Nhe sind, klackt es sehr laut. Bei Haustren, die weit vom Wohnzimmer entfernt sind, wrde es wohl nicht auffallen. Andere Katzen werden wiederum erfolgreich abgehalten. Deshalb haben ich die volle Punktzahl vergeben.
