As expected from Philips, this is super easy to instal, just fix it into position, open the hue app and select what lights it should control. I actually purchased this to control some path lights (Govee lights) of course this isn’t possible within the Hue app.
But after integrating them both into Home Assistant, my outdoor sensor switches on my Govee lights.
Built in Temperature monitor also, which is a nice feature, again, I believe this is locked within the Hue app, so get this in Home Assistant and all becomes available.
Comme toute la gamme Philips Hue ce dtecteur est trs pratique. L’installation est facile et ne ncessite pas de comptences particulires dans le bricolage. Ce systme est aliment par 2 piles AA. L’autonomie est d’environ 1 an suivant le nombre de dtections. On peut effectuer tous les rglages avec son smartphone. Trs bon produit.

Der Bewegungsmelder funktioniert meistens so wie er soll. Manchmal reagiert er aber nicht mehr und muss zurckgesetzt werden. Zur Nutzung ist eine HUE Bridge erforderlich. Die Steuerung via App ist kinderleicht.

I’m using it to control smart plugs which in turn are connected to my outside lights. The hue system is good in the connectivity area but doing so for the in techs person can be frustrating.
Ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit den Bewegungsmelder gekauft, da ich eine Alexa Routine programmieren wollte.
Diese funktioniert einwandfrei und ersetzt in diesem Fall eine zustzliche Klingel.
Sobald der Bewegungsmelder (zuverlssig) eine Bewegung erkennt, meldet sich die Alexa, sodass ich mitbekomme, dass sich jemand an der Haustre befindet.
Tras haber probado diferentes sensores de movimiento zegbee de diferentes marcas y colores, ninguno funciona como estos, son mas caros, pero al final merece la pena por la calidad que tienen.
Bin mit den Hue-Produkten sehr zufrieden. Leider sind sie aber auch nicht gerade preiswert.

Einfache Montage. Zu den keinen Mngeln . Es wre gut wenn es ihn auch in wei geben wrde. In den Einstellungen wre astronomische Zeit Einstellung wnschen wert.
Was soll ich schreiben, typisch Hue.

I’m a big fan of Hue lighting, I have lots of bulbs and indoor motion sensors, so when my outdoor security light packed up I bought a Hue Discover outdoor Floodlight and decided to pair it up with the outdoor motion sensor. My driveway is only 4.5m long and I found the sensor picks up movement way over 8m away, every Tom, Dick and cat was being detected!. As in other reviews here I tried the electrical tape solution which helped but still not perfect. Plan B also listed in other reviews was to use a small wedge behind the wall bracket so as to point the sensor down, in my case by about 10 degrees, this got the sensor only seeing to the end of my driveway, exactly as I wanted it to. I replaced the electrical tape with a good coating of Plastidip just to make it look a bit more”factory supplied” and now it works brilliantly.
You shouldn’t have to do this, its not like other Hue products that in my opinion work perfectly out of the box, but with a little fettling it does exactly what I wanted it to do.
Why Hue don’t supply a wall mount with an adjustable angle is totally beyond me, they do supply a corner mounting bracket though.
All in all I’m very happy with it now, but in a situation like mine it does need some patience to get it right.
Bought two and no regrets. Have the indoor one and struggled to find a use for them. The outdoor ones have proved much more useful for me.
We leave lights on low, then change them to warm white and 100% brightness when movement is detected, then drop back to the subdued lighting after 5 minutes.
Really useful and can be used with the Hue compatible plug adaptors too (we have one none Hue floodlight that this activates).

Heb eentje binnen in de garage hangen om zicht te houden op de temperatuur omdat de garage enkel steens en verder niet geisoleerd is.
Benutze dem Bewegungsmelder im Garten zur berwachung meines Hauses.
Sobald sich jemand nhert gehen alle Lichter km Garten und im Haus an. Somit weiss ich genau wenn Gefahr droht.
Funktioniert seit einem Jahr ohne Ausflle, ob Regen oder Minusgrade.
Die Batterien sind nach einem Jahr immernoch halb voll.
Ich kann diesen Bewegungsmelder nur empfehlen.
Delay ist fest eingestellt, nicht fr schnelle Schaltvorgnge geeignet.

For the last twenty years, we have had an outdoor motion sensor that at dusk would activate one of two outside lights, on dim (25%), and when any motion was detected would activate both at 100% for 5 minutes, before returning to just one at 25%. The motion sensor started to play up, so I looked to buy a replacement that did the same. I couldn’t find one. I came across this Smart motion sensor, and after some research, found that you could replicate exactly what my old motion sensor could do …. but with the added benefit of operating the lights by voice (Alexa) if you so wanted. Not that I needed or wanted
to use it. I purchased a Hue starter kit (hub and two lights) for compatibility. Works extremely well.
Come spring/summer, I’ll be looking to upgrade another motion sensor on the patio with one of these. Follow the instructions and there are no problems in setting up.
Purchased this to compliment a new hue external light.
Easy to set up in the app, easy to install and works as described.
Bonus feature – I have a home assistant setup and this device includes temperature and lux readings!
Der Sensor ist gut verarbeitet und leicht zu montieren. In der App ist er schlussendlich dann auch schnell verbunden. Ein Punkt wird abgezogen fr die Einstellungen in der App, das ist nicht gut gemacht. Man kann 2 Zeitzonen whlen und das hrt sich auch soweit gut an, allerdings fr einen perfekten Lauf, sollten doch auch Zeiten programmierbar sein wo die Lampen immer an sind z.B. morgens von 6-8 Dauerbeleuchtung und Abends von 17-20:00 geht nicht da die Nebenzeit, wenn man danach oder davor den Bewegungsmelder zur Schaltung mchte dann nicht mehr einstellbar ist. Da wnsche ich mir mehr
Spielraum zur Programmierung.
Der Bewegungsmelder ist sauber verarbeitet. Leider nicht so wie seine Weggefhrten aus Metal gefertigt. Aber dafr ein ausgeklgelter Halter fr die Wand! Was mich ein wenig strt (und eben die Optik etwas kaputt macht) ist eine fehlende Klappe oder eine fehlende Blende die man vor die Optik schieben kann. In unserem Fall misst der Bewegungsmelder zu weit, dass heit das wenn ein Auto an der Strae vorbeifhrt, unser Licht im Auenbereich angeschaltet wird. Somit war ich gezwungen die fehlende Blende mit schwarzem Isolierband zu imitieren. Wenn man sich viel Mhe gibt und sauber das Isolierband klebt fllt es auf den ersten Blick nicht auf, aber mich strt es schon ein wenig weil ich Weis wie ich zum Ziel gekommen bin. Wenn eine Blende von Werk dran wre, wre es fr mich der perfekte Bewegungsmelder fr da hue System!
Meine Rezession bitte nicht falsch verstehen, es kommt natrlich auch auf den Installationsort an.
In Summe ist der Bewegungsmelder wirklich zu empfehlen, er schaltet zuverlssig und die Installation war super einfach.(Hardware und Einbindung Software) Die Verarbeitung ist sauber wie bereits am Anfang beschrieben.

Die Kurzfassung steht ja bereits im Titel. Der Sensor lst schnell aus und macht einen sehr guten Eindruck auch was die Wetterfestigkeit angeht. Das ffnen des Sensor ist allerdings extrem fummelig. Laut
Anleitung sollte sich die Rckwand nach ffnen der Schrauben an diesen abziehen lassen. ich hatte dann
leider immer nur die Schraube in der Hand da die Dichtung zwischen Rckwand und Gehuse sehr gut
eingepasst. Mit stumpfen weichen Werkzeugen ging es dann doch. Eine stabile Lasche auf der Rckseite
knnte hilfreich sein.
Easy to mount, works well as you can adjust the settings for light and sensitivity from the Hue app. But the price is expensive especially compared to how you can buy a decent quality light with a motion sensor for far less.
The pairing, operation and configuration were easily done and thus far has stood up to the weather.

Bon capteur, il reporte la luminosit (en lux), la temprature ainsi que videmment la dtection de prsence. La dtection est trs sensible.
Il y a un adaptateur permettant de la monter sur un mur.
Il est facilement reconnu avec un adaptateur zigbee et home assistant.
Ich habe schon viele Produkte von Philips Hue verbaut und euch schon 2 Outdoor Sensoren. Dies Mglichkeit ihn auch an einer Ecke zu befestigen ist perfekt fr unsere berdachung. Einen weiteren haben wir am Parkplatz am der Hauswand montiert der bisher allen Witterungsbedingungen standgehalten hat. Ich empfehle immer den Sensor in einem Set zusammen mit den gewnschten Lampen zu kaufen um etwas Geld zu sparen.
As comparaes so sempre feitas com as Hue, por algum motivo. A relao preo / qualidade , de facto, fraca! O valor dos produtos alto, tendo em conta do que . J a integrao com outras plataformas, como do Home Assistant de valorizar. Tem a possibilidade de ser fixado num canto ou numa parede direita.
I put the sensor above my front porch/doorstep adjacent to the decorative LED porch light I opted for instead of a Hue smart outdoor light – saved a packet of cash and got a better looking, IP65 rated outcome.
It works well, too well unfortunately as far as motion sensitivity is concerned… The daylight detection works just fine, but even at minimum sensitivity, it detects cars driving past my driveway nearly 15 meters away… sure the light is only on for a minute and I guess it /might/ deter any burglars casing houses, but still annoying…
If it becomes too annoying, there’s always the black electrical tape across the top of the sensor dome trick.
Still the best outdoor solution out there for a ZigBee 3.0 home automation setup IMO.
Bekannte Qualitt und Funktion von Philipps Hue.
Einstellung des Wirkbereichs schwierig da nur in Hhe und vertikaler Ausrichtung eingestellt werden kann. Viel try and error.
Je me basais sur l’heure du couch du soleil mais parfois le temps tait un peu gris la nuit tombait plus vite. Tout du moins la luminosit tait faible bien avant l’heure de couch du soleil et je fermais mes volets manuellement.
Dsormais avec ce dtecteur extrieur, je peux rcuprer la luminosit extrieur et donc me servir de cet indicateur pour dclencher des actions comme fermer mes volets.
De plus, en complment de la luminosit (LUX), j’ai la fonction dtecteur de mouvement. Que demander de plus.
Bien sur, si vous n’avez pas de domotique, ce capteur est tout aussi gnial pour vous, car il faut parti de la gamme HUE. Vous pouvez donc avec l’application mobile Philips Hue, dclencher ses actions.
Par exemple, si la luminosit est 100lux, je ferme les volets en envoyant un ordre un module HUE connect mes volets roulants. Je peux aussi allumer mes lumires (intrieures ou extrieures) HUE.
Le dtecteur capte un mouvement, alors il peut allumer votre lumire HUE extrieure pour faciliter votre arrive.
Clairement un module trs interessant et polyvalent. Il vous permet aussi de rcuprer la temperature extrieure.
Niveau installation, c’est trs simple. L encore, Philips a pens tout les cas d’installation. En fixation droite, en angle. Vous pouvez mme vous affranchir de percer votre mur pour l’installer puisqu’il est possible d’utiliser des colliers de serrage (non fournit) pour l’installation. Ce que j’ai personnellement choisi.
Install depuis 1 mois, pourtant en plein soleil (au sud), la couleur du capteur ne bouge pas. Les donnes remontes (temperature, luminosit, mouvement) sont trs efficace et ractif.
Je ne peux que le recommander.
Zu dem Bewegungssensor selbst ist bereits genug von anderen gesagt worden, weshalb ich mich dazu kurz fasse. Die Verarbeitung ist top, es liegt umfangreiches Montagematerial bei und die Anleitung ist simpel und verstndlich gehalten. Zur Reichweite kann ich folgendes sagen: ich habe den Bewegungssensor an der Einfahrt montiert, die etwa 35-40m (+1 Auenwand) von der Bridge entfernt ist. Leider konnte die Bridge auch nach mehreren Versuchen keine Verbindung zu dem Bewegungssensor aufbauen. Daher habe ich den Sensor wieder demontiert und fr die Erstverbindung direkt neben die Bridge gelegt. Nun klappte das Koppeln auf Anhieb, sodass ich den Bewegungssensor dann erneut an der entfernten Einfahrt montierte. Dieser ist nun mehrere Monate im Einsatz und schaltet bei einer Bewegung die Beleuchtung rund um das Haus ein und sendet zudem eine Benachrichtigung an mein Handy. Bisher kam es nur ein einziges Mal zu einem Ausfall des Bewegungsmelders. Nach Lschen und erneutem Hinzufgen in der App konnte das Problem jedoch schnell behoben werden. Seither luft der Bewegungssensor ohne weitere Ausflle seit knapp vier Monaten. Der hohe Preis fr einen eigentlich simplen Bewegungsmelder ist meiner Ansicht nach gerechtfertigt, da man in Verbindung mit dem Hue-System wirklich eine Menge Verwendungsmglichkeiten hat.
Der Philipps Hue Outdoorsensor ist sehr leicht in der Hue App zu installieren. Die Alexa App erkennt diesen auch.Genaue Beschreibung ist vorhanden. Nach Bedarf kann dieser auch an einer beliebigen Stelle montiert werden. Ich persnlich habe diesen momentan im Blumentopf plaziert. Bei jeder Bewegung gehen alle Lampen an, die man in der App zugeordnet hat. Die Helligkeit bei dem Produkt kann in der Hue App eingestellt werden, wie auch verschiedene Szenen. Persnlich empfehle ich diesen Sensor.
Comme tous les lments Zigbee Hue ou compatible Hue, aucun souci pour l’appairage avec le pont Hue, puis ensuite automatiquement associ dans les deux secondes Alexa!
Ceci est un bon point puisque reconnu par Alexa, le dtecteur est alors intgrable dans des routines!
Je suis ainsi notifi par Alexa ds que le capteur dtecte un mouvement dans ma bote aux lettres (exactement ce que je voulais)!
Bonne porte Zigbee puisque l’ampoule Zigbee la plus proche du capteur (qui fait office de relais pour le rseau Zigbee) est situe donc dans ma bote aux lettres, neuf mtres, traversant sans souci ma porte d’entre assez massive, comme les murs de ma maison.
Ce dtecteur est adapt un usage extrieur, donc je ne m’inquite ni de l’tanchit, ni des tempratures d’hiver comme d’t.
Certaines applications non officielles Hue permettent de donner galement la temprature enregistre par le capteur, mais aussi la luminosit ambiante.
L’application Hue officielle permet de pouvoir rgler la sensibilit du capteur, avec plusieurs niveaux de sensibilit slectionnables, ce qui est un vrai plus compar d’autres capteurs Zigbee moins chers d’autres marques. L’appli Hue permet aussi de configurer des comportements diffrents entre le jour et la nuit (en fonction de la luminosit ambiante et/ou de l’heure: il peut ainsi n’allumer la lumire lors d’un mouvement que la nuit par exemple…
Le dtecteur est associable avec des clairages Hue (ampoules, luminaires extrieurs, etc.) afin d’allumer automatiquement la lumire lorsque le dtecteur enregistr un mouvement.
C’est une fonction qui ne m’intressait pas dans mon cas, souhaitant seulement tre notifi par Alexa lors d’un mouvement.
Un support permet de le fixer autant sur des murs et dans des angles. De mon ct, j’ai simplement coll des petits aimants au dos du capteur et cela m’a permis de le fixer facilement face la fente de ma bote aux lettres en mtal…
Ce dtecteur fonctionne avec deux piles AAA fournies, facilement remplaable compar d’autres dtecteurs moins chers de marques concurrentes qui utilisent des piles type boutons bien plus chres et plus difficilement trouvable lorsqu’il faut remplacer les piles.
En rsum, c’est donc un trs bon capteur, de qualit Hue que je recommande tous ceux qui cherchent ce type d’lment leur domotique;
Le prix est raisonnable en rapport avec la qualit de fabrication, la porte du rseau Zigbee et des fonctionnalits possibles

This is a good addition to my hue lighting kit, however even on minimum sensititivity, the motion detector is triggered on the slight movement of a leaf or bush in the wind.
Dieser Philips Hue Outdoor Sensor funktioniert zusammen mit meiner Hue Bridge einwandfrei. Er lsst sich unkompliziert einbinden und deckt bei einer Montagehhe von ca. 1,9 m locker eine Entfernung von 10m und die angegebenen 160 Grad ab. Die Programmierung ber die Bridge ist unkompliziert und sehr variabel.
Ich habe ihn im Freien und ungeschtzt montiert und nach 4 Monaten keine Probleme.

Excellent design allows for easy mounting on flat / internal corner / external corner.
Excellent sensitivity settings allows me to set the light to only come on at certain darkness level, only when somebody enters my gate (not when they walk past)

I’ve a hobby system using Mosquitto broker, zigbee2mqtt, and Home Assistant (in a Docker container) running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a CC2531 dongle. Installation was straightforward (speaking as one with moderate computing skills), and the system has been reliable so far. I’ve been able to adjust sensitivity parameters and perform an OTA update using MQTT Explorer (search for Philips 9290019758 on the zigbee2mqtt website for details). I set sensitivity to low having read other reviews, and had no problems with false or missed detections. Pleasantly surprised to find it includes temperature & light strength sensors to complement the motion detection.
Installed this alongside a hue discover out door light. It’s hue so it’s easy to set up and works well. You do need the bridge as well, my only disappointment with the wider hue system is the app doesn’t have the functions of say hue dynamics. This product has a temperature and lux sensor in it which the hue app doesn’t give you anything to do with. But this product is great.
As per usual, even with the sale price, the Hue products do seem a touch overpriced. Nonetheless we all seem to buy them.
Easy to install. Took a little bit of playing around with over the evening to get it to respond as I wanted. Do not have the motion sensor set too high or it will stay on all night long..at least that is what happened in my case.
All in all it works and works well. Hopefully it can tolerate an Irish summer and winter in the pouring rain all year long.
Solid feeling sensor and so nice not having to run cables everywhere, the app is great as well. Note if it doesn’t detect motion then it wont activate the timer to turn off after ?? minutes thus stays on until it does which if doing during the day won’t be until it gets dark. Does also detect the temperature but doesn’t seem to display this on the app.
