Really nice looking lamp
This is lovely, because it opens from the bottom it is tricky to fit on your own without dropping the screws! don’t understand complaints about rust as it is aluminium .Just bought another one.
This was chosen to replace an alloy outdoor lantern which had corroded and the paint subsequently flaked badly.
I wanted an ES bulb fitting to suit a Philips Hue white + colour bulb and I liked the style of the lamp Over the usual upright lantern styles available.Fitting was a breeze and took less than 30 minutes as I already had the wiring and switch in place from the old lamp.
Although I like the look, this lamp is very light in weight and used clear plastic rather than glass so it doesn’t have a particularly robust feel to it. It look fine though, and does the job, so overall it was a decent buy.

Easy to fit but the back-plate is a bit flimsy
I bought two of these. Quickly fitted and give lots of light (I use a cylinder-shaped LED). Whilst fitting one the back-plate cracked – it should be made of thicker plastic. That said, I would buy them again. Easy to change bulbs but beware of dropping the little bolts down the decking gaps…
Looks good and works well
This lantern looks modern and works well. It is well put together, easy to fit, and I have fitted a 60W equivalent LED lamp in it, giving a great white light.
Perfect Fit For Our White Shed
We started to paint our shed during the summer to a beach style and was looking for a lamp to fit that theme and this dose the job. Easy to fit but there should have been some spare cable to help go through the wall, you have to fit your own hence 4 stars. We fitted an Alexa enabled bulb and can now set to to come on at certain times or change the colour, very effective against the white.
Update: 5/12: seal has failed causing fuse to blow, not sure if any damage to bulb, awaiting seller response.
Beautiful outdoor ligh
Bought for our back door as the previous light had rusted screws and could not get them out to replace the bulb.
Looks utterly perfect on our old country house with white walls. Was easy to fit and has survived typical British weather. Just the quality you expect from a brand like Philips.

Good looking lamps.
I fitted a pair of these lamps, one on either side of my garage doors, wired to a single PIR . They work very well and provide sufficient illumination, (fitted with Energizer LED GI energy saving lamps) for the drive and the garage doors. They are well made for the price, and look very smart.

I like like these they go beautifully outside our white pvc doors front and back door.
Great value
Excellent value for money. Solid construction. Bright light for outdoor use. I bought this light for use on my deck in winter when the solar lights have gone. Very effective without blinding. looks great on the wall in the daytime too the white colour ties in with the PVC window frame & gutters. Uses a normal 40 watt led bulb so energy efficient too. Highly recommended.

Attractive and functional
We bought three of these to go around our garden. I also bought some brackets to attach them to the fence. They look lovely and give a modern feel to the old fashioned lantern look. We use them on a remote, so don’t need to play with the switch at all. So far they are lasting well with no signs of corrosion. I might review again in a years time to say how they are lasting as they haven’t been through a British winter yet.

Lovely
High-quality lanterns with a very elegant look. At the price I paid (less than 20) they are a total bargain. I installed two at the back of my kitchen extension and they look fantastic.
One bit of advice – these lamps are designed to receive a cable from the back, so have a think about how you plan to mount them. I wanted to run some flex cable in from the side and I had to search around for a 100mm white circular backbox – not easily done!
On the whole very pleased, exactly the type of item you’d expect from Philips.
NICE OUTSDE LIGHT
Excellent light for the price. Contrary to some of the other reviews, this one doesn’t have a sensor to make it come on when someone is nearby. If that’s what’s wanted, you need to buy the more expensive one.
I bought 2 of these lights and I am delighted with them. Very easy to install, very stylish and at a very good price. Item was also well packed and delivered quickly.
