Amazing picture quality and brightness, there is no adjustable stand howeve
Amazing monitor for higher specs. I use HDMI for now however it works perfectly fine most of the time and the UI is extremely helpful. The low blue light setting helps a lot when trying to wind down before the sleeping too. My one and only complaint is the brightness. The brightness of the screen is really nice but the lowest option is still very high for my taste.
I made a mistake thinking this had 21:9 it does not. If that’s not a problem for you this display is very nice.
Really happy with this purchase. The image quality is fantastic.
Only issue is the stand, its super deep and the three prong design makes it kinda awkward to work around. Its nice looking and solid, wont be an problem on big desks.
For this price on a 1440p 165hz monitor, I honestly expected some streaking and awful colors. Surprisingly, I don’t see any streaking whatsoever, and the colors look great.
The HDR is godawful, but that’s to be expected. Honestly don’t really understand why they bothered to include an HDR mode lol.
No dead pixels or defects. Used for several weeks so far and no issues. Only downside I can think of is how slow it wakes up from sleep mode.
2k gaming is the sweet spot, great video quality, 165 hz, and a great price point.
My biggest peeve with it is that when there is 2 inputs in and you shut one off.
Only been with this for less than a month at the point of writing this but I still recommend i
Bought this for our son to use as his main PC gamin monitor. The build quality and the picture quality are both superb. Very please with this, I don’t think we’d have found one any better at the price.
This is perfect, beautiful picture, cheap, supports HDR and 120 fps. Slight backlight bleed but it doesn’t bother me. This is the perfect budget monitor for anyone who has a PS5/Series S|X.
So far I have no complaints about the monitor itself but it’s only been a day though. It was shipped without the screws to connect the upright part of the stand to its base so I gave it 4 stars for that inconvenience.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A DAY ONE REVIEW AND HAS NOT BEEN TESTED FOR LONGEVITY
This monitor is astonishing for the price. I have tested the refresh rate, the resolution and response time and they’re all 100% accurate.
The brightness is perfect (I did turn it up a little)
I see a lot of reviews talking about the bleed but I put a fully black screen on and it was well into what I would call satisfactory and I wouldn’t find it bothered me unless I went looking for it
I don’t think the included stand is the best but I desk mounted it so it personally wasn’t an issue.
There’s no dead pixels or any panel inaccuracy that I can see through my (albeit small) amount of testing and through the naked-eye.
All in all, on a budget or not if these are the specs you want I would recommend the product.
I really like this monitor because of the Great Quality and adjustment for my eyes, I love how you can see perfectly through every angle of the screen, the brightness is so good, but I think it is a bit bright when playing at night. I really recommend this monitor for awesome smoothness and great Frames Per Second. Lastly, I love how it is compatible for Free-sync AND G-sync depending on what pc components do you have.
This monitor works great with my Xbox series S runs 120fps and has phenomenal graphics! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new monitor for gaming and for the new Xbox series!
As a PC monitor it works amazing with just mild colour calibration recommended. For PS5 however, it lacks HDMI 2.1 so the console has to compromise on image quality or frames. Games at ‘4k’ on this 2k display look awesome but that HDMI limitation means you won’t get above 60fps. Turning on performance mode with 120hz locks you at 1080p despite that HDMI rating being capable of 2k 120hz. (Sadly PS5 doesn’t support 2k) Also the colours at 120hz look all washed out and unsaturated. It means I have manually change the saturation on the monitor each time I switch the FPS which is a slight pain.
Connected to our new Mac mini M1 using USB C to DisplayPort Cable. Great picture quality. Excellent price for the resolution and refresh rate this monitor has. Only downside is the stand (minor issue). Replaced stand with something a little sturdier giving us the ability to raise the monitor to eye level.
Got my money worth for budget IPS type of screen for my new build. It works great for my needs at this price range.
Does the job as described. Use it for Xbox series S and does 120fps no dramas bananas
Pros:
– The picture is breathtaking. Like… I never really understood all the hype about 4k HDR, but now I do. Handles PS5 input like a champion.
– Easy setup
– The dual HDMI ports is a very nice feature as well, I can have PS5 on one and laptop workstation on the other. All that’s needed to switch between them is a few button presses. No more unplugging and replugging.
Cons:
– I will say the overdrive function is not awesome. Meant to reduce trails and ghosting on fast moving objects, but even the lowest setting will cause inverse ghosting (a rainbow glow) around motion blurred objects.
Having loved the monitor so much, I brought a second one for a dual setup. I have had no regrets. Highly recommend this monitor to anyone on a budget. It is impressive for its price
monitor is used exclusively for xbox series X gaming, work really well for that. Wouldn’t recommend it as much for PC as the colours and HDR aren’t great. FPS/input lag are great for competative gaming howeve
Beautiful screen looks great. I really don’t care about hdr, so I won’t deduct stars.
This is my first ‘proper’ monitor and all I can say is WOWW. I’ve never experienced 1440p on a monitor, IPS nor past 90Hz so this is just amazing coming from a 24inch 60hz TN panel. The colors are great, don’t bother with HDR its bad just like every single other monitor that claims to be HDR around these price range, response time is good. No dead or stuck pixels but there is some small amount of backlight for me though and I only notice it when I loaded up a black image. The bezels are very thin but there is a small black border around the display on the inside of the bezel. I cant say much for the stand since I mounted it on an arm immediately.
9.5/10 definitely reccomend.
The size of this thing was larger than any monitor I’ve had, as well as the resolution. It’s my first 1440 p monitor that I use for both PC and PS5, and gladly the PS5 allows it to output a 4k resolution through upscaling. Nothing was wrong with the monitor, tested for any dead pixels and such. I think I would buy another if ever needed.
I’ve spent the last 7 years using a monitor that came free with my computer. I managed to upgrade to dual screen by buying a second monitor from a Goodwill. Most of that time I’ve had a 1080 graphics card because my friend gave me his old one. So I literally had to use an HDMI to VGA converter to use my terrible monitors. I’ve been saving up for a while now so when I saw a 165hz monitor for this price I had to jump on it. I couldn’t believe what a difference it is. I feel like I’ve been playing video games with my eyes squinted up till now.
Only have had it for a few hours but I am pleasantly surprised. Only had two dead pixels in the top left corner of the screen but the back light bleed is quite noticeable in darker scenes. I want to give it 5 stars but just cant. For what it is and for the price this is a phenomenal choice. I’m happy. I’ve been gaming off of a flatscreen from 2010 for the past 11 years and 165hz ultra graphics on RDR2 is blowing my mind on PC.
I had an old monitor of similar spec but lower refresh rate. I bought this monitor because of its higher refresh rate and the colour is quite good. I’m no expert on monitors but I’m happy with the purchase
This monitor checks soo boxes. It was simple to connect and navigate the menus. The color calibration out of the box is the best I’ve seen compared to this displays we’ve had at the office. The color temperature is slightly cool by default which was easily adjusted to my taste. I know viewing angles are import to some people. I don’t understand… what crazy angles are you look at a desktop monitor from? In any case even at extreme angle colors still look great. The extra screen real estate bumping the resolution up to 2k has been quite helpful for design work as well.
Now on to gaming. Its a great experience. If your pc rig can push 140+FPS at 1440p this monitor has to be the best option under $300usd. There are also built in gamer related OSDs you can enable like a timer, framerate counter, and crosshairs if that’s your thing. It’s a great monitor. You can’t go wrong this one.
***Some things to note***
– The stand is not most robust. It only has an pitch rotate. So depending on how important ergonomics are to you, you might would want to consider purchasing a monitor arm.
– If you plan to run the monitor at 1080p, YOU WILL want to adjust the Overdrive settings to “high”. I noticed a crazy amount of ghosting at 1080p 60fps until I adjusted the Overdrive.
Good quality monitor, no dead pixels compared to my previous monitor purchases. Perhaps just my luck on this one.
Also as mentioned, the monitor stand is metal so careful of the edges
To the people wondering how to turn off the monitor, just hold the button on the back (toggle for monitor settings)
PX277 – I bought this monitor for 1440p gaming with FreeSync, 165hz refresh rate, and < 1ms response time, with my GTX 1070. I am impressed by its features, and performance, especially at the price point. I was a little worried about FreeSync working with Nvidia G-Sync, since this monitor wasn't on Nvidia's compatibility list, but I managed to get it working. You have to enable FreeSync on the monitor before your graphics card will detect the capability. Once FreeSync is enabled, you can enable G-Sync settings from the Nvidia Control Panel. When you go through G-Sync setup, make sure to select the final checkbox, under display specific settings, even if your only using one monitor. Also, review the global 3D settings, and make sure Monitor Technology is set to G-SYNC Compatible. There are some other settings here you may want to tweak for performance. There is an issue with the monitor blanking, due to low frame rates, causing the refresh rate to fall below the monitor's range. This rarely happens in game, but it does happen ocassionally. However, some desktop applications, like LibreOffice, also trigger G-Sync, which causes this blanking behavior very frequently, outside of gaming. So I just keep FreeSync disabled, when I'm not gaming. I found reference that you can use a third-party app called Custom Resolution Utility to help manage this, but I haven't researched it enough yet. I'm not sure about HDR, though. I've never had an HDR capable display before, so it's probably a settings issue, but HDR doesn't seem to work properly in some games, then works beautifully in others. I generally leave HDR disabled, unless I know it works for the game I'm playing. I almost bought a similar 1440p, G-Sync Certified monitor, with a 144hz refresh rate. But when I saw this one, with higher 165hz refresh rate, at a lower price point, I figured I would give it a shot. Overall, I am very happy with how this monitor performs. FYI; I couldn't find this doccumented anywhere, but you can turn the monitor on/off by long-pressing the menu rocker switch, on the back of the monitor.
Good price and value! Wish it could rotate 180 but not a huge deal
Overall the monitor is great. Good picture quality, and excellent high refresh rate performance. The design is pretty bland but I prefer that to an over the top gamer aesthetic.
There are a few cons to be aware of:
1) The included stand is rubbish. No height adjustment and quite wobbly. But it’s easy to get off and the monitor is VESA compatible so not an issue for me
2) The out of the box colour calibration is pretty poor, but if you look on Google you can find info on how to adjust it, and it looks great after tha
My only gripe with this monitor, is that it came with a dead pixel to the extreme top left, barely noticeable. Other than that, an overall great monitor.
This is a really outstanding monitor. I had a 144hz monitor before and even just the 21 hz bump is so nice. If you’ve only ever played on a 60 hz monitor/TV this is a great entry. The price is great and 1440 p is just that extra little screen space or resolution bump that is noticeable in games compared to 1080 p. Not to mention for productivity higher resolution means more screen real estate. This is a great product for what you are spending and honestly I have no complaints.
After a series of shipping mishaps with USPS, my package was declared ‘lost’ and I was issued a refund. However the monitor ended up showing up at my place later, so I had the refund and the monitor. Of course the right thing to do is let someone know that I did in fact receive the monitor, but upon setting up the monitor I was motivated to immediately call Amazon because the quality was that good. Of course Amazon could take the loss, but Pixio deserved every penny for the quality it delivered. Great color, no dead pixels, minimal glow, good response times. A simple design, minimal adjustability, but if you really care about that then get a VESA mount, I think a devoted monitor stand doesn’t need to do much.
It’s super bright for me, I keep it at 10 brightness (out of 100). I’ve hooked it up to a PC and a Xbox series x, works out of the box with either at maximum refresh rate.
