Working on remote IT support during lockdown using the headset as an IP phone, I eventually wore out my earlier Plantronics Blackwire single headset model, and went for this one as a replacement. Our customers were complaining they could not hear me on the earlier headset, and I was having trouble hearing them. (I think it had a worn wire). However once I started using the 5220 model audio was perfect. Works great with Cisco Jabber and Microsoft Teams.
With two headsets it blocks out external noise to some extent, and my ears get too warm, but on the whole I’m really happy with this product.

Good quality and performance. Feels uncomfortable after an hour of use.

I wanted a mid-range headset for use with Microsoft Teams. This product appears to be ideal, was immediately recognised and works without any problems.

Excellent sound quality, never needs charging or pairing. Mute button works seamlessly with MS Teams.

Seems good so far. We bought a number of these for people in an open-plan office to overcome a problem where conversations of people in one online meeting could be overheard by people in a separate meeting being attended by someone else in the same room. They seem to have solved the problem.

Ive just set up and used the headphones for the first time today, my previous set was a Jabra Evo 40. I moved to the Ploy as I particularly wanted noise cancelling mic feature as have kids and they are not always quite. a quick comparison between the two, the Poly are definitely more comfortable. As someone else mentioned the head band is a little tight but a bit of a stretch fixed that. the ear pads are comfortable and I dont see I will have any issues wearing them for a long time. The wire is thinner than the one on the Jabra set which is a little bit of a negative point. hopefully its strong enough not to damage easily. The sound has more bass, I think I will try to adjust this but over all its clear and concise. I found the instructions a little sparse and had to search for the app to upgrade the firmware via the manufactures website. If I can reduce the bass for telephone calls I will be happy.

Just what I wanted which is super comfortable when wearing for a long time. Also does not get too hot from wearing and microphone is well placed to one side so not intrusive.

I purchased this headset on Saturday and received it yesterday. During that time I have used it once, for a Skype call and so far the results are very good.

With my webcam the voice is sometimes garbled and the other person cannot hear me, so I have to reconnect – this only happens in Skype. I do have an old webcam to be fair. With the headset, the sound difference was very clear and much better than the webcam.

My first call was 35 minutes and the headset seemed comfortable throughout. In the quick start guide they give a link to software which you can download. The companion app seems easy to use and most of the time you hardly know it is there.

I will have a Zoom call this weekend so will have more opportunities to try it out but am confident it will do the job.

Good all round, comfortable but after a long call call, ears tends to hurt. Sound quality is excellent and volume more than enough. Good build quality too. Overall, a very worthwhile headset for Teams/Skype calls.

These are great. Turns out headsets (as opposed to audio headphones) have “side tone” so you hear just a dab of your own voice in the ears (can be turned up/down in Win10). And they compress a wee bit. Which is good because these two features make my zoom calls so much better now. Previously, with various audio headphones, I lost all sense of what others were saying when I started speaking. These advantages may be true of all headsets, but still, terrific.

Bought this for my mum to use while using Zoom. She is 78 and her hearing is going but she can hear fine with this headset. The microphone allows the rest of us to hear her way better than her laptop’s inbuilt microphone. The headset comes with a minijack plug built in but there is also a minijack to USB type A adaptor in the box so if her next laptop does not come with a minijack socket, she will still be able to use this.

My only criticism is that the headband does note shrink quite small enough for her head. Mum has a small (but not unusually small) head. However, she was determined to keep the headset so she has increased the headband padding herself to make up the gap. If this DIY adaptation bothers you, only buy this headset for people with medium to large sized heads.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to use with virtual call centre while home-working but whenever I used the inline mute headset was permanently in mute until plugged in out. Hence returned. But mic/call quality/build was excellent so likely incompatible with virtual pbx my company uses. (hence 4 stars)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPerfect for online calls, meetings. Zoom, teams, adobe connect etc.

I use these for work calling people all day everyday. The in-line controls are extremely handy. Instant mic mute and volume control right next to my mouse hand.
If you try and talk when it’s muted it let’s you know straight away with an unobtrusive voice in your ears.
Good sound quality and even does music reasonably well.
8 hour days and no discomfort.

Sehr gutes Headset.

Great headset for Zoom. After downloading the Plantronics/Poly app, its volume/mute controls synchronise with the same Zoom audio settings – very handy.
