    Great product!
Great steam Iron. Some reviews comment on the controller not showing the settings, but when you plug the appliance in the indicator lights up and you turn the control knob to the required setting. Just read the instructions before you start so you familiarize yourself with the product. We have used Polti appliances for 20 years and highly recommend.

    Good value
Not quite as powerful as my previous iron but it’s less expensive so on balance it’s fine. Heats up quickly and the water tank is large.

Great iron and great customer service Thoroughly recommended
This is a great iron, yes it’s expensive but I feel easy use and professional results are worth the price. I would 100% recommend this iron and the customer service is excellent. I bought my iron May 2019 and it recently had a problem. I rang the company and was told they’d pick up iron from my house in a few days. I received iron back like new a few short days later. No fuss, no pleading with them to repair the crack in the iron, etc, etc, no awkward questions just prompt, helpful customer service. I’m very impressed with the company.

    Amazing machine
Amazing machine, has cut my ironing by half. So powerful you only need to iron one side. Wish it was a bit cheaper but guess you get what you pay for. Would not go back to a standard iron ever agai

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our Userslike the 10 year warrenty
bought this as my polti 615 was 10 years old and unfortunately couldn’t cope with the limescale in my area, even though I religiously used kalstop, so thought I would buy the top of the line with a 10 year guarantee on the boiler for limescale, taking a little getting used to as after a certain length of time it switches from turbo to eco, so you have to keep switching back and wait for it to reheat to turbo temperature, also the instruction manual, it looks like its been photocopied? The last one for my polti 615 was in glossy thick paper and the front was in red writing with the polti logo in red, very upmarket, but this one is in normal paper and black and white which doesn’t look authentic? So not sure, its quite hard to read not like my last one, other than that no complaints but I think I prefer my older polti 615, easier to use, however this one irons cotton crinkled sheets that have been dried in a tumble dryer with ease

    Brilliant iro
Well worth the money, excellent iron really time saving as you are not going over and over, easy to use controls. Had replaced a TEFAL Generator with another TEFAL and it was the worst purchase as it kept staining the clothes with brown marks, so spent a bit more and bought this Polti, amazing iron, I know how excited can you get about an iron.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMost impressed... although expensive compared to other similar irons...
I purchased mainly for the extended warranty, given my other high end steam irons fail after about three years, I’m hoping this one will be a lot more reliable. It irons very well, looks great and is easy to use, it’s just a little expensive when compared to others i.e. Bosch…

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSo far, So Polti
This is my second Polti steam generator iron in 15 years. If this one lasts as long as the other one, I’ll be VERY happy. It’s still early days, and so far it’s taken me a couple uses to get used to it because I actually liked the heavier weight of the old one which also had continuous steam – not that I used it often. The one thing I’m going to have to get used to is the fact that when ironing, the steam intermittently stops for a few seconds as if to power up again. Considering this is a 7.5 bar compared to my old 5 bar iron, I’m not sure why. It’s not a deal breaker though and I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

It does make a kind of generator noise occasionally, but I’m familiar with the noise because of the Polti carpet cleaner I have, and I just assume that this is the tank re-pressurising. Who knows, I’m no engineer though :-). The tank is big – I mean physically bigger than my old one though I think they both hold the same amount of water – but, I LOVE that I don’t have to wait for the pressure to go down before refilling, meaning that you can just continue ironing for however long it takes without needing to take a break.

Also, the time it takes for the tank to pressurise and you can start ironing … my old one used to take about 10 minutes. This one takes 2 minute! I no longer have to put the iron on and go shower before ironing one item! If you’ve ever owned a Polti, you know how annoying this can be, let alone the electricity you burn to iron ONE top!

Finally, PRICE: At the time of writing this review, the La Vaporella XT100C is 70 more on the Polti website. So whilst there are a few things that would have made my new purchase perfect, it still deserves 5 stars.

This iron was to replace my previous Polti steam iron that I had been using for 7 years. I knew that my replacement iron would have to be another Polti because once you’ve used a Polti steam iron you will not buy any other make. Ironing is a pleasure & takes half the time using this newer model. I’m delighted with it & if it lasts as long as my last one did; it will certainly be value for money.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersAn Insider's Trick To EASY Hard Water Correction..
I love this iron but grew tired of having to use a 5 litre stupendously large and heavy bottle of water on the advice of others, in order to soften my hard water and fill my generator tank with 1.5l without making a holy mess and sliping a disc!

Here is my quick and easy solution using the Polti Kalstop Anti-Scale Phails
Being very anticlutter, I racked my brains when coming to a easy solution on how to make up and dispense this concentrate into my steam generator tank.

I didn’t want to be lugging about a 5 litre water bottle (as many have suggested), this would inevitably spill at occasional points during the course of it’s usage over the years. I really hate a mess.

Our solution was these cute little dropper vials purchased on Amazon: 10ml Blue Glass Bottles with Dropper Pipettes They look like Neals Yard bottles.
I emptied one 5ml Polti Phial into said 10ml dropper vials.
My steam generator manual says I require 1ml of polti concentrate per litre of water – my tank holds 1.5Litres of water.
One full and loaded dropper holds approx. .5ml of concentrate (I measured on my Heston precision scales – also bought from Amazon).

Therefore, I require 3 loaded droppers squirted into my tank and then I proceed to fill my removable tank directly under the mains tap.

Bob’s your uncle! Plus no mess or heavy lifting.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSuper stylish ironing!
Went for the Polti XT100C because of the 10 year warranty and good customer service on previous Polti purchases. Really impressed with how much steam this produces and how much easier ironing is compared to a normal iron. Simple to set up and easy to use, good quality and fantastic design touches with the iron lock and LED handle.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWell suited for big ironing sessions
The XT100C steam generator has the advantage over conventional irons in that it doesn’t require topping up with water, and so is suited to big ironing sessions.

In common with most steam generators it consists of a large water chamber which generates the steam — in this case at 7.5 bar pressure, and a cable which attaches the main unit with the iron.

Controls are easy to operate, with four heat settings — silk, wool and cotton (which relate to the settings normally denoted as * ** and ***), and also a universal setting.

The iron unit is well shaped with a sharp pointed nose and rounded rear to facilitate crevices corners, and it will sit either on top of the steam boiler or on the ironing board using the detachable base plate which comes off of the boiler to allow it to be placed on the ironing board. The boiler unit is small enough to enable it to sit on the ironing board but I prefer it on the floor with the iron placed on the board for ease of use.

Three lights on the irons handle show the heat status — yellow means heating up, blue means ready for use, flashing blue means cooling down and red means out of water. I like this sleek and easy to see system, and the cork handle is comfortable to use. The unit takes just two minutes to heat up from cold. The steam pulse is 500g and there’s the usual vertical steam ironing capability as with most such units.

It’s a well-constructed, solid generator with an attractive appearance, which it should be considering it’s at the upper price range for a steam generator.
