Works great charging one 12v marine battery on a 40′ trailer. I use the battery to run the winch to get stuff on and off the trailer. With this charger I know the battery is charged and ready for work. I usually leave it on for a day after winching for an hour or so

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDidn’t realise how big it would be, luckily it fits inside the car. Its a great solar power though, I brought this one because it was a 20w panel and had cigarette lighter charging. My car has got a battery drain of 76milliamps but will jump to 0.5amps every 1 hour for 30 seconds, within 2 days this drain would give me a dead battery, its a common problem on the Astra H for the stereo and display to wake up why the cars asleep and drain the battery. Since connecting this solar panel my battery has been registering 100% charge at 12.9v. Brilliant panel.

Don’t use the car as much as we should, for various reasons and despite a smaller solar cell that just trickled some power into the battery, it would still go flat after less than two weeks.
With this it does a proper, managed charge and the battery is great. The brakes still squeal initially but that’s to be expected, but the 12V battery is not a problem.
It’s not small, but we stand it up in the rear footwell and can always put it in the boot if we need to.
Fits the dashboard fine. Oh, it’s a Toyota Auris btw.

I go quite often camping during this period when it is great weather and where I park my car there is no power supply and because I use a lot of devices the car battery gets drained very fast so I needed to find a quick and cheap solution to that so I decided to buy this solar panel which is specifically to charge batteries.

I got the panel which is relatively small size but has a very long cable and I like this, the cigarette lighter and the alligator adaptor+ 4 suction legs(this is what I call them) to mount the panel on any flat surface.
To operate is super easy, I take the alligator cable, put it on the battery and then connect with the solar panel and that is all, yes, simple as that.
On the panel there is a led indicator and when it is on it means it collects light(not necessarily sunlight) and personally I am not an expert to know exactly how long it takes to charge a car battery but I know for sure that I can count on this product and I will not run of power while being far away.

The panel can be mounted outside or inside(i stick mine to the window of the car while i go hiking).

Overall experience with this product: good, it does exactly what it was bought for.
    Happy with this purchase.

May 2022 Update. This product works well however I have just ruined another motorcycle battery. The problem seems to be the the voltage produced brings the battery up to 15 volts and overcharges it from that point forward. There is no overcharge protection for the battery.

I bought this product in June 2021 and it worked perfectly until March 2022 when I noticed that the charge light would flicker on and off. I discovered that by touching around the connection area I could demonstrate that there was some sort of a problem. I contacted the supplier who responded immediately and requested I make a video to show them what I was experiencing. I did this and sent it to them. Within 24 hours I had an acknowledgment that there was indeed a fault and a new product arrived 48 hours later. I think this is a great product with fantastic tech support.

Bought this for my wife’s work car. She has a GPS tracking and speed tracking device on her car connected to the car battery. Her agency has not allowed her to travel for the past two years because of COVID and therefore her car battery dies constantly. Battery has been replace twice in two years but they will not disconnect the tracking system even though the car sits in our yard undriven. Plugged in the panel and have gone over two weeks without starting the car with no issues, whereas before in that timeframe the battery would be down to 10.5 volts. Great purchase and she recommends it to all her coworkers in the same predicame

I’ve bought this to keep a motorhome leisure battery charged over the winter. It’s set inside a slightly tinted window, facing the winter sun if it should decide to appear. In that location, and with a weak winter sun through the window I’m getting half an amp charge. Before the sun came round the side of the neighbour’s house there was around 20mA. I was a bit disappointed by that, but half an amp when the sun shines will be more than enough to keep the batter good.

obust, well packaged. I bought an extra 25m lead as my caravan (off grid) is under trees hence the need to put the panel in unshaded areas. I had 11.4v at 8am and by 12 noon it was up to 11.9v. I was charging the leisure battery using a petrol genny for an hour a day but im sure this will keep it at a decent charge without the need for a genny. Obviously in bad light i will need the genny but at the moment this is good. Probably should have bought this sooner if im honest. Comes with a USB lead which will be handy for various items but havent used this yet.

I bought this to keep a leisure battery charged for weekend use at my allotment. I plug in an out well cool box. It takes about two days to recharge from 75%. Which is fine for my occasional use. If you want charge more instantly then get a bigger unit but for plugging in a fridge box at weekends this is perfectly fine. It’s on the roof of a shed as had it behind a window and the charge wasn’t anywhere near as good

Maseratis are known for being high drain vehicles when it comes to batteries due to the number of gadgets they have and the large engines. Even Maserati recommends disconnecting the battery if you are not driving the car for more than a week.
Instead of discounting the battery I simply attach them to the battery and stick the solar panel to the roof. I have left it for weeks without driving and the battery remains healthy and topped-up. Very pleased with the product. It has saved me thousands of pounds and a lot of hassle resetting the electrics when reconnecting a battery! Bought another one for my beach hut to keep the electrics topped-up which run of car batteries!

Been using it successfully to charge my camper van’s battery and, when we’re allowed to, I’ll take it with me so I can charge other devices when I’m all rufty tufty and off-grid.
At 20W there’s enough ooomph to quickly make a difference.

Because I rarely use my car during Covid lockdown, keeping things like the alarm, central locking, etc was draining the battery. I bought this product to compensate for that drain. It was easy to install, and so far seems to be doing what is required, but it has only been installed for just over a day. If there is a downside, I would have preferred if it came with an OBD2 connector, which I had to purchase separately. It does come with clips and a USB connector thought, which will both be useful.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis 20W solar panel comes with a charge controller and I added 12 feet of extension to my order and this sunlight friend is keeping my barely alive Ram ProMaster battery (off warranty) charged enough to turn the engine over. Cheaper than a new battery, this should get me to the spring when I may be able to afford a new battery. I must mention that even on very overcast days this unit generates a charge worth every penny. This is an “amorphous” solar panel, meaning even pretty bright streetlights can trigger a small charge.

I bought this in Oct ’20. A prized & not often used car developed a “parasitic drain” from an unknown component meaning the battery was flattened in about 5 days. It’s a potentially a difficult & very expensive repair so this was bought to trickle charge & maintain it as it’s not practice for us to run a charger from the mains. This panel therefore spends 90% of it’s life outside on my windscreen. The longest time so far is now 3 weeks & the battery was perfect. We’ve permanently mounted the control box safely under the bonnet in a clean dry area.
A word of caution – we did have a period when it couldn’t keep up but we found that was due to us foolishly fitting a much larger battery which was almost too big physically for the car & also, we realised, too big for the charger. We reverted back to the original size battery & all was well. So take care to make sure this 20w trickle charger is big enough for your battery.
We’re very happy with this, it feels & looks well made & the panel has proven heavy enough to remain on the windscreen under very windy conditions. Bear in mind only the panel is waterproof & not the control box!
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPromising so far. A previous controller drew nearly 20mA from the battery all night and barely passed any charging current (8-10mA) during our grey UK daylight hours. By my calculations, assuming 16hr of darkness in the UK winter, and some monitoring during the day, my battery was losing at least 1/3 Ah per day through the solar controller. This is in addition to the normal drain through the alarm system, clock, self-discharge, etc.

This one is better. It still seems to draw 7-10mA in half light, but it did get my battery up to 12.6V during the day (250mA behind a slightly tinted windscreen). In darkness, the discharge draw isn’t quite zero, but at 0.12mA it’s as good as. I’ll update this after a few weeks of lockdown, but I suspect a smart charger will still be a good idea after a month or two.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed solar charging for the many months that I expect the trailer to live in storage. I didn’t want to do a permanent installation – I won’t need it while traveling. Once I finally got it hooked up I gave it 10 days and came back to find the battery fully charged at 13.3V, so it’s working as intended. I have the panel hanging from my awning and the bottom of the panel tied to the side with suction cups. We’ll see if it survives our winter winds. That side of the trailer faces SE. I probably should have just tied it down on the roof but I don’t like to climb up there at my age.
It took a while to get it all together because I needed a port for the side of the trailer https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TNZ4T5F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and extension wiring, a ring connector for the battery and a polarity reverser.

Using it to charge a battery for use on a car winch.
Keeps it charged very nicely. Great that it does not need bright sunlight to operate. Obviously a quicker charge when there is, but if the battery is charged, then a dull day will keep kit topped up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsing to charge a deep cycle battery on a trailer. Has been performing as expected. Installation instructions were good and easy to follow.

Mounted on top of trailer tool box to charge a deep cycle battery. The battery powers a winch used to load atvs on the trailer. I have been using the winch 6-8 times per weekend. By the start of the next weekend the battery is fully charged.

The negative I have is it is used with a deep cycle battery whose fully charged voltage is not as high as a typical 12 v battery. Therefore the “fully charged” light on the module has only been lit once although I have checked the battery is fully charged with a volt meter.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this 20W solar panel as a replacement for a smaller panel & have not regretted it. I use it to help keep an electric fence battery charged. It was very simple to set up & extended the battery life to 4 weeks & 2 days using 400 metres of fence tape. I changed the battery then although it was not dead. How much the battery is charged using the panel depends on how much sun there is & how long the fence is or how much power is used if it used to charge other things. There is a light on the panel itself plus lights on the controller box to help. The panel has a stand that makes it easy to set at the right angle to catch any sun. An excellent buy.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersEasy to set up, and after a small issue with the control unit not functioning correctly (sorted by a replacement), all was well and it keeps the charge on a 12V lead acid battery in my Porsche. This used to discharge within a week as it is only used as a ‘fair weather’ car, and now it avoids me having to keep a trickle charger connected from the mains.

Had to buy an extension lead to extend the length of the wires from control unit to battery – original length is quite short, maybe this can be addressed by the supplier, Powoxi, whose customer support is first class.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI bought this to charge my leisure battery (110ah) in my caravan while it’s sat in storage, as my tracker is discharging it every 4 weeks.

The solar panel is nice and compact, approximately 40x40cm. It comes with a 3ft cable to the detachable solar controller, then about 2ft of cable to the crocodile clips. The cables are all standard sae, so easy to get extensions and accessories.

I tested the unit on my spare 110ah battery I have at home, it’s old and doesn’t hold its charge for long. But the solar panel charged it from 12.5v to 12.9 in 6 hours. No drain was on the battery in this test. The solar held a charge of 14.5v even in overcast conditions and I had it inside behind double glazing. So no risk of sulfation.

I left the solar attached after charging was complete to see if it would fry my battery. But the charge unit turned off and after 24 hours the battery was still cold.

    Fully recommend this setup.
