Practical For Sanding WorkThe PWB 600 has a two-piece work surface which allows working materials to be clamped in the centre. The sloping surface of the blade clamps allows work to be performed very close to the edges, when sanding for example. You can then keep your sanding paper close at hand in the integrated storage tray on the frame. | Suitable For A Wide Range Of ApplicationsThe bench top is moved into position using two cranks, which can be adjusted independently of one another. This offers excellent flexibility for many different materials and applications. | Simply Fold Away And StoreThe PWB 600 work bench comes with a practical folding mechanism, which allows it to be set up and taken down in just 5 seconds without the need for any additional tools. The portable bench also takes up very little storage space when folded up. |

Hold Workpieces In Position EffortlesslyThe PWB 600 includes four blade clamps, which can be positioned flexibly on the bench by inserting them into the recesses provided. This means that even round or oddly-shaped workpieces can still be held in position both quickly and easily. | When The Job Is Complete: Move On To The Next ProjectThe work bench can easily be carried from one location to another under your arm. Thanks to its aluminium frame, the bench is a genuinely lightweight, weighing in at slightly less than 12 kg. | |

Leg release button broken - replacement fixed the issue!
After unpacking and trying it out I found one of the leg release buttons was stuck inside the leg – feels like the spring has fallen out from behind it. Requested a return and replacement, Ill update the review when I receive a working one!
Edit: Returned and got a replacement. Its a good sturdy bench, easy to fold up and hide away. Updated to 5 stars.
Better than the B&D workmate All the framework is 4 sided square section metal plugged at both ends not 3 sided open section like the B&D well worth the money……..
I’ve been using a classic Black and Decker Workmate for 45 years. My back has aged more than the Workmate, so I looked for something a bit higher. The extra few inches this gives makes quite a difference.
While heavier, it provides a larger work surface than the B&D, which can be useful. It is also easier to store as, when folded, it’s flat both sides. The clamp plugs store neatly in the frame.
It doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as my original Workmate, but then, what is?
At last a decent portable workbench
Black and Decker has had its day. The Bosch portable workbench is easy to put up and down, robust and like all good well designed tool, a pleasure to work with!
This bench is great, I had been after one for a long time but put it off as I had more urgent jobs to do first. In the end I bit the bullet and just bought it. It’s fabulous, I should’ve bought it a long time ago. It’s so easy to set up and use and to put away again, it hardly takes up any space at all.
Really pleased with my new work bench. It is really well built and easy to fold out and set up. I’ve only used it a few times and found it to be very sturdy when I’m sawing. It’s also easy to fold up and put away afterwards not taking up much room at all. Highly recommended +++++
Being bosch it’s expensive but its good quality and it is really useful for various projects. The only issue I’ve had is that the workbench I found is untreated and has gone mouldy on me while being kept in the shed. So far I have taken the wooden top off and made a attempt to treat it with some Ronseal heavy duty clear varnish. But I’ll probably post later with the results if the varnish trick works
Does the job, doesn’t take up space
This bench has a reasonable surface working area, the Bamboo work surface seems excellent, easy to setup, up in seconds.
Comes with chocks holds for supporting pieces. Compacts down really well, takes up space about a metre long and 20cm wide.
Work bench, but which is best?
I wanted a light weight folding but sturdy bench but which one is best for me. I viewed the B&D Workmates and other brands too, poor or indifferent reviews and on occasion too expensive. Bosch version seemed to tick all the boxes and I purchased a Bosch drill in 1999 and it still works fine. The Bosch bench Is a decent weight but not too heavy, easy to open and fold, no assembly required. I am impressed by the quality the bench which should serve me well.
Well made product with a few minor niggles
Better than its competitors good working height sturdy with a good range of adjustments. Couple of issues I found the red plugs extremely hard to get in and out a wrench and a hammer is required but when in there is no give. There is no fitted levelling foot and if you store it in a damp shed or garage for the winter protect it mine suffered from bad mould on the bamboo jaws. I would recommend it.
Good produc
eally good sturdy workbench, easily foldable. perfect for my home projects
Excellent value
Very sturdy and appears to be well made – great value for money.
Easy to erect and to fold away.
Great work bench
Really easy to use, great build quality, much larger work top than other folding benches I have used in the past. would definitely recommend
Better quality than mos
The jaws of the vice do not meet completely flush so that does not fill you with confidence . The footprint of the table is the same size as the top ,so the workbench will never be as stable as a Black and Decer Workmate (the B and D has the legs spayed out so the table will not rock) . The Bosch is more convenient to transport and open than others I have used , the work top is larger than most and should work better . I would have more confidence in the vice if it had steel lead screws rather than the soft ones that are fitted , time will tell if they are up to the task ( I notice that Bosch sell replacements on their web site so perhaps that is a warning of what is to come) .
All in all it is much better than the cheaper work benches on the market but it will never replace the old workmate , but if you do not need that degree of strength it will do most jobs well enough . It will not last 50 years ,but then again neither will I .
Great quality
I bought this for my husband for his birthday, he was over the moon. He does a lot of diy and loves this workbench. It’s very quick to assemble, very useful large worktop area unlike previous ones he owned, it’s bulky when assembled but folds neatly and tidy away.

Like a Black and Decker workmate but bette
I bought this workbench to replace a Black and Decker workmate which had served me well. The Bosch is just a bit better in every department: easier to fold, more stable, larger work surface and it just feels better made.

The one to buy
My only problem with this is the weight, but I accept that it is necessary to achieve the stability and sturdiness. A good buy and mush better than any similar workbench I have had in the pas

Bought as a Xmas prese
This was bought as a Xmas present. Report as already used and very pleased
Excellent design & extremely practical
Previously used a B&D workmate that was also practical though heavier. Really appreciate the design and ease of assembly. Stable platform & plenty of scope to take substantial weight.
An ideal present for the diy fan!
Wanted to buy a present that would be used not left on one side. This fitted the bill exactly and the recipent was delighted that he could fold it up.
Build quality?
The product works fine but, I was left little disappointed that one of the wooden (bamboo) three piece clamps is at such a different height.
It appears to be bowed as its reasonably level in the middle.

Very impressed!
Bosch lives up to their fame in terms of quality with this amazing bench, imo. It comes already assembled I just had to take it out from the box and open it. It’s huge, firm, a little tricky to fold back but that is because I’m new to this product, I believe. Very impressed overall and it is beautiful as well, I read some nonsense negative reviews about the table not aligned and or the feet not standing balanced…Well that is not the case with the bench i got, maybe they got one faulty. I was google eyeing this bench for long time, it’s quite expensive, and i was able to buy with Amazon repayments, worth every penny. I ‘m very happy. Thanks Amazon and Bosch. I highly recommended, it’s a good investment.
Well made and sturdy
It’s about 20 years since I bought my B&D Workmate. It was getting a bit beat up so decided to get a replacement. After my usual research I chose the Bosch one. Gave it a once over and it looks well made and well designed. Hope this lasts as long..
Fantastic Product.
Excellent build quality, just as you would expect from Bosch.!! It is very functional in what it is designed to do. Not in the least bit “flimsy”.
Pleased I went with Bosch
The Bosch is easy to put up in comparison to the B&D Workmate and the quality and sturdiness is excellent – I think better than even the early model Workmates. For me the height is also ideal. I noticed after the fact that I could have bought it cheaper at Robert Dyas, but delivery was free and ahead of schedule – so all in all pleased.
Handy and space save
Found it quite useful when i was doing my kitchen as a work bench holds quite a bit of weight and stable for DIY
Folds out straight from box
Folded out straight from the box unlike others-good quality surface- not quite as heavy/robust as my original workmate but looks smart and best of the bunch
Strong & Stable
This is a very well made and well designed work bench. It has a working surface big enough to be really useful and, with the included clamp plugs and many clamp holes, it is very versatile and easy to use. Above all, it is really stable in use and therefore safe. Great product. As a bonus it is easy to fold and to store.
Great simple tool
Love this little gadget. All I need and all I thought this would be.
Brillia
Just dont want to go back with my cable version – unless I need large volumes.
Bosch glue gu
Fantastic don’t run all over the place like a glue gun which I have several get what you pay fo
Well constructed table... Gonna last years!
I like this table and use it for less messy work as it’s just so nice!
Side to side movement is not advised and you’ll end weakening the leg joints I reckon… But that’s from experience with other products… Not this one!
Sturdy enough and will last years!

My only criticism if at all is that there’s no height adjustme
This product is very good has a very large top very useful
The quick and easy folding action is very good
And whilst it is ideal for securing pieces of work for cutting and filing, if you are chiselling or hammering, it isn’t really sturdy enough. Perhaps that is asking too much for a portable work bench, but I think I would like to see it a bit sturdier. It more than redeems itself for how quickly it can be erected and folded down. The solid wood deck is a nice feature too.

Perfec
Perfect. Very sturdy and exactly what we were looking for. Service was great from orders to delivery
Top of the range
I needed a well built portable work bench and the Bosch did the job, although more expensive it is well built and designed and having put it through its paces for a couple of months I can confirm that it is an excellent purchase.
so easy to use!
I am a 80 years old woman and I love making various things in wood. This workbench is so useful and does not take up space when not in use.
