Good for narrow beads of glue
Extremely easy to use, ideal for smaller glue applications, lightweight, trigger not stiff to use like other mains powered types, no noticeable smell. Will have to see how long battery lasts, but only diy and electronic applications.

Purchased this to avoid using the breakfast table or a railing in the flat to brace or hold things. Works very well. Supports a reasonable amount of weight, and folds up easily and doesn’t take up much space – slides into the back of a closet or behind a door.

Nearly perfec
Near perfect workbench. So much better in every respect than the Workmate. Two things I would love, adjustable height and slightly wider jaws. Apart from that it’s superb.
Solid, Stable Workbench
Very solid and sturdy, much better than any other portable benches I’ve had over the years. Not the lightest, but the folding mechanism works very well and the whole thing feels well made.
I’ve been using this successfully for DIY, drilling shelves etc, and it stands in nicely as a coffee table.
I ordered a cheap B&D first and that was really awful so I sent it back and got this. Much better. Fit for purpose, where as the B&D was not.
A significant drawback though is that the red pegs / “blade clamps” can get stuck. The peg holes aren’t all the same size: some are loose, others are too tight. Yesterday I had to remove a stuck peg with a crowbar and it’s looking much worse for ware. I don’t know if they do spare parts but doubt they will last long if I have to keep doing that, and the bench will be of limited use once they break, because the normal opening with the pegs isn’t very wide.
I don’t know if they were drilled differently or mine has warped, but it’s an issue either way. I’ve had it about a month.
It’s also a bit expensive, but the finish quality (especially the wood) is better than on cheap items.
Nice sturdy workbench
Hesitated buying this as I’ve always used Black and Decker workmates previously and they were substantially cheaper than this one. Having read a number of reviews saying that the quality of workmates had gone downhill and positive reviews of this one, I bought this and am very pleased that I did. Very sturdy, arrived fully assembled and is very easy to fold up/down. I can see where the extra money went and would recommend buying.
Value for money
Bought this for my husband for Christmas as he wanted a more lightweight replacement for his old one. He is very pleased with it. His only point was that although it is easy to fold, he often worries that he’s going to trap his fingers in it.
This Bosch workbench is probably, at least, twice the price of the equivalent Black and Decker item; however, the difference in build-quality and functionality is way beyond, with this Bosch unit leaving it far behind. Some of the negative comments are simply untrue; it’s a very stable and very sturdy work surface and one that is significantly bigger than the competition. In terms of quality, it definitely has that German heritage of decent engineering, coupled with excellent functionality and useability. I gave it 5 stars, all round, because I struggle to find any faults or flaws with this item; it is simply head and shoulders above the competition and when you take it out of the box and set it up, you’ll know then that you’ve made the right choice!
Amazing apart from the included sticks
Amazing use it all the time …… the sticks that come with it are weird and over sticky they never really set but once I was using other sticks out in the wild it was fine

I am over the moon with this bench. After putting up with a cheap black and decker one this is a breath of fresh air. The first great point is that it comes ready assembled ready to use out of the box. The next is that it has a huge work surface which is much better for working on wide things like doors. It is extremely sturdy, robust and well made. It folds smoothly but due to its quality it is heavier and larger item to handle. The one pair of legs are telescopic and I found I had to turn the bench upside down to pull them out and push them back but there may be a better way. So a bit trickier to assemble if you are feeble (in which case would you be needing it), but well well worth it to have such a great bench. Expensive but well worth the money. Don’t but cheap ones they come in a mass of parts with incomprehensible assembly instructions then fall apart in no time buy once buy Bosch.

Good quality bench
The workbench is sturdy and easy to use with a strong vice. It is a good height and comfortable in use. Folding the bench is not difficult once used to it and the design does ensure that it is solid in use.

Very useful
I gave this four stars at first but it does everything it was advertised as and everything I have asked of it so had to change to five stars
I bought the Bosch PWB600 to replace a very old Black & Decker Workmate that is still useable, but has issues with the folding legs and general wear and tear. I have accumulated several Bosch power tools over the years and have grown to trust the brand.
I needed a new workbench for routine domestic maintenance and projects. I do not have space for a permanent workshop and needed something that could fold flat and be stored out of the way, which the Bosch does admirably.
I have found it stable enough for my needs. It provides a good, large work space and the clamps work well. It is generally robust, but there are a couple of plastic parts that may be susceptible to damage. I have not had it long enough to comment on durability. So far it meets and exceeds my DiY needs.

Really solid with a large work area if a little heavier than others I’ve used. Folds easily enough although the system & shrinking set of legs is odd to get used to. Feels like it should hold up a lot longer than my last cheap bench
I Have years of experience in house building & domestic construction, and have owned and used other portable benches. This Bosch portable work bench is in a class of its own for quality and ease of use. You can spend 20 to 50 on cheaper benches and if you only need a cheaper one for occasional use get a Black & Decker, but if you like me want the best then the Bosch PWB 600 is the one for you.

Anybody thinking of getting a folding workbench look know further, you will not be disappointed. Good German engineering ! . Do your self a favour as well and buy yourself a couple of Wolfcraft pro one handed clamps, the end of the clamp comes off with the press of a button then you can put the clamp through the holes in the work station and you have another way of clamping things on to the work station.

This is well made and of good design. It heats up quickly and works well. Glue and tip do become very hot, can’t complain though as that is what it should do. I don’t recommend children using it unsupervised. Battery charge lasts well. I put it away charged and I can usually do everything I want the next I take it out. You cannot use it while charging.

I looked around for a good replacement for my old dad’s workbench. Back in the day these were sturdy and made of metal. These days most are plastic. This one is the best on the market. Solid structure and I would recommend paying that little bit more to avoid disappointment!
I always read the reviews before buying anything, and I’ll be honest I took a gamble n this workbench after reading some of the negative reviews. I tried a couple Black and Decker benches at B&Q, and I was appalled at their standard so I bought this one online which was a risk I admit. I was expecting something pretty flimsy with no strength or weight at all. Boy was I in for a surprise when it came, for me it is perfect a weight I can carry but substantial enough for most jobs. I’m not sure what the negative reviews were expecting, but this is going to last for many years and certainly better quality than any B&D product. It’s certainly good enough for any DIY job you are considering doing and I won’t hesitate to recommend it.
Nice and high platform workbench – I’m 6’4″ and have no issues with this height. I’ve found other makes to be far too low in comparison. The bamboo top is excellent and hard wearing. collapses very easy.

Used for various DIY purposes for over a year and found it to be entirely satisfactory. I feel its better than having the garage cluttered with a permanent bench. Light weight makes it easy to carry but also not well anchored by gravity when in use. This was a replacement for a cheaper one that was so poor as to have been a waste of money.

I have been using this for a few months now ...
I have been using this for a few months now and I am really impressed with it. I was going to buy another B&D Workmate to replace my trusty old one but discovered that they have value-engineered all the quality out of it so I thought I would try this. It is a really clever design and as you use it you realise that the designers absolutely understand how it will be used and they have thought of everything – it is just so convenient and quick to erect and light to carry about, yet strong enough to do the job. Yes it’s a bit expensive but it’s worth every penny.

I sent an email to Amazon and once I returned the inferior one I was sent a new one which is really good.

The bench arrives assembled, that’s a star there on its own. It’s rock solid in construction and simple to use and store. The work surface feels huge compared to some of the cheap models I’ve had in the past.

BISH BASH...
This workmate alternative is better than id imagined, arrives fully constructed in a loudly advertised bosch box, basic cardboard protective corners, so easy to use, light weight, can be raised and lowered in seconds. supplied clamping dogs work well, fitting securely however placed, and have there own unique storage section.
Im beyond happy with this, having used it recently to adapt my wifes cattery, this has allowed me cut 2 by 1 with ease, along with plywood sheets, made my life so much easier, the folded footprint is small, ideal for storing away in a shed or small storage area.
Every time I use it, my wifes approaches me with a thick black permanent marker asking “please let me write BISH BASH above the BOSCH logo”
I have to fight her off, laughing, claiming ” only if I can then write my choices on the fridge and washing machine”
she then backs off, both of us laughing!

Nice Table.....but a few issues!
This is a nice work bench, but it has a few issues. The first issue is fundamental, and that is the poor metal box section used in the legs. I purchased this work bench and had it shipped to Thailand where I live. It arrived with a slight bruise in one of the legs on arrival. This tells me immediately volumes about the thickness of the metal in the legs. It is inadequate. Bosch have attempted to cut the manufacturing cost by using lower cost materials in the legs. A box section wall thickness of 3 to 5mm would have beefed the legs up and made this a highly stable platform on which to work, but what it has is 1mm box section that is too flimsy. Bosch….I would have paid the extra to have an extremely sturdy unit with extended longevity, so why have you build this unit cheaply? Other than this the remainder of the work bench is admirable, but it might have been useful to include more than four plastic holding dogs. Finding additional Bosch plastic dogs for the table additionally appears problematic……do the Black and Decker Workmate dogs fit?!

A quality Workstation, pricey but you only get what you pay for at times.
Nice worktop area also, a nice addition.
This is a great little product. Being wire-free makes this extremely easy to use – especially getting into small gaps. The battery life is respectable, but the only issue I have experienced is that the glue stick can fall out quite easily, so sometimes needs to be held in place with your other hand which is not always practical.

Man Table.
I’m terrible at DIY. This workbench makes it look like I know what I’m doing. Great big top means my tools fall on the floor far less often, it even has a cute little cubby for your pencil (of course, my big Man Pencil [knife sharpened of course] is too big to fit in the little pencil cubby, just as it should be).
This workbench is for Serious Stuff (and you can set your drink and sandwich on it when you’re done).

Fantastic little Glue gun heats up very quickly (about 20 secs) replacement glue sticks 7mm are available at most D.I.Y stores.
The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating , is that sometimes the glue stick falls out depending on the angle you are using it at.
Even if I think it is slightly overpriced I still recommend it.

July 2017 now and have to say this is one nice piece of kit. Excellent. I have had many in my life, I’m 61, and this is by far the best and a pleasure to use.
If you have a 20 yr old B&D bench-refurb it and retain it.Its like an old Land Rover, built like a brick WC!The newer B&D benches are lightweight,smaller and insubstantial and moreover require a 40 min.self assembly and we’ve all done our IKEA apprenticeships……
Comparing the B&D with the Bosch is like comparing the Model T to a modern Audi.
1 As soon as you lift the Bosch out of the box it’s ready for use unlike the self assembly B&D(see above)
2 Don’t be put off by the aluminium and plastic construction of the Bosch – its properly designed ,German engineered and made in India .
3 Operationally anything the B&D can do the Bosch is up for it
4 Having said all this I’ve kept my refurb’d ancient B&D just in case……
The Bosch is c.24+ more expensive than the mid B&D but in this sector of the tools market you get what you pay for.

The table is great. It folds quickly and I can store it next to a wall taking little space. It is sturdy when open seems that it can take a great deal of weight. This is the second table. I bought one for my father and after seeing how good it is I then bought one for myself. I might not be for very heavy duty but for occasional work around the house it does a very good job. For heavy duty work people usually have strong heavy duty desks in their workshop.

Got my Bosch workbench yesterday.
Also have a B&D workmate, which had to be assembled. The Bosch bench came assembled and ready to use which is super handy.
It has a wide work area (much wider than the B&D) and for my light to medium home DIY it’s perfectly stable and solid.

Some of the tiny screws came loose, it’s a little more flimsy than I expected for the price but overall good.
