The Digital Reishunger Mini Rice Cooker

For particularly gentle preparation and perfectly cooked rice, the Digital Rice Cooker has a 7-phase cooking technology developed for rice. The Digital Mini Rice Cooker automatically activates the correct cooking phase one after the other: preheating, water absorption at medium temperature, heating phase, cooking phase, nutrient protection, short water absorption and finally the warming phase. In this way, nutrients are retained and the aroma can unfold in the best possible way.

Perfectly cooked rice for up to 3 portions

Anticipation is the greatest joy! Thanks to the timer function, you can now plan exactly when our delicious rice will be on your table – up to 24 hours in advance. Simply set the desired time, add rice and water and press the start button. Thanks to the handy keep-warm function, your rice will never burn again, and you can keep yourself occupied with other things while the rice is cooking. As soon as the grain is cooked, the rice cooker switches to keep warm mode. The digital display tells you how long the rice has been kept warm.

Reishunger 7-Phase Cooking Technology

7-Phase Cooking Technology

Reishunger 7-Phase Cooking Technology for perfect rice

1. Preheating stage: The digital rice cooker increases its temperature slowly and gradually until it reaches 50°C.

2. Water absorption stage: Once the digital rice cooker reaches a temperature of 60°C -80°C, the rice begins to absorb the water. This stage continues until the temperature reaches 80°C. The slower the rise in temperature, the higher the quality of the finished rice. This stage therefore lasts longer if you choose one of the special rice settings.

3. Heating stage: Once the rice absorbs the water, the digital rice cooker begins to heat up, bringing the water to a boil at 85°C.

4. Cooking stage: During the cooking stage, the digital rice cooker cooks the rice at a maximum temperature of 100°C until the rice is done.

5. Nutrient absorption stage: Once the rice is fully cooked, the digital rice cooker lowers the temperature to 90°C. This is the perfect temperature for the cooked rice to reabsorb valuable nutrients from the water and seal these nutrients in the grains.

6. Loosening stage: The digital rice cooker briefly keeps the temperature at ca 80°C to allow for excess water to evaporate and the rice to become nice and fluffy.

7. Keeping warm stage: Once all the excess water evaporates, the digital rice cooker automatically switches into “keep warm” mode, ensuring the temperature of the rice stays at 65°C.

Absolutely love this product. It makes perfect rice for our small family, cooks the perfect porridge in the morning. I’ve been trying to reduce the number of Gadgets’ in my kitchen but this one I never regret. We use this all the time and I’m so glad I bought it. Not only a time saver, but the results are always perfect and it is really easy to clean. Finally I can also Hammer perfect brown rice which I was always hesitant to cook before because it takes longer and needed supervision. With this you just fill it, press the button and you can get on with the cooking of other ingredients without having to watch the rice. The keep warm function means the timing is always right.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI live alone so wanted a small rice cooker and searched Amazon then after reading many reviews went for this one, and I am very happy with the results as my rice is cooked to perfection so can highly recommend this rice cooker.
I also wanted to respond to some of the reviews, some say it arrived with a European plug and not the UK three pin plug which mine arrived with, well you could have returned it and asked for one with a three pin UK plug, but I wouldn’t use a bulky travel adaptor I would simply cut the European plug off and put a UK plug on with brown wire to live, blue to neutral and if there is one green/yellow to earth very easy to do and you don’t need an electrician. Others complain they can’t keep rice warm for days, really why would you keep a maximum of six portions warm for days on end what a waste of electricity and money but also not very healthy as bugs would thrive in the warmth for a couple of days, just cook the number of portions you require for that meal. Then some say they weren’t blown away by the flavour, sorry but all a rice cooker does is heat water up and the rice absorbs the steam and goes soft, what flavours were you expecting from plain rice, peach and mango? Even Thai Aromatic rice doesn’t have much flavour and I have never had any rice with lots of flavour unless it’s a packet you warm up in the microwave that has the flavour added.

When I first heard of a rice maker I thought it was mad…I mean how hard is it to cook rice! but a friend made us a meal and used this one.. the result was fab, there are settings for different rice, it can steam veg and it can be on a timer so cooked rice and veg when I get home. this is brilliant as we work shifts. we love it.. our in laws have bought one now too. wouldn’t be without one now.

This is a lovely little fellow, I adore my Panda rice cooker. It does what it’s supposed to do – rice. Cooked. Well done.

The only inconvenience is that when the cover is opened, a lot of water comes down behind it, and it doesn’t really enter the tiny plastic container on the back but just slips on the counter. Just needs a quick tap with the counter cloth and it’s ok, though.

Used it for rice mostly, steamed a bit of veggies. If you follow the instructions, you can do perfect rice without any issues. Just a warning: do not follow instructions from the packages of the rice you’re going to be using; follow the instructions provided with the cooker instead.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBest Buy for a long time. Perfect rice every time. Always used microwave rice but after buying this cooker we cook all from scratch. What a difference in taste. Completely hassle free. One tip, throughly wash rice before cooking. If you don’t it comes out sticky so wash and wash again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPlease do not listen to the bad reviews. I have been making rice for nearly 20 years. Persian rice, Chinese style rice nearly every kind of rice you can think of. This machine is brilliant. The bad reviews probably come from the boil in the bag kind of rice makers. It’s a beautiful little machine to look at too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI absolutely love this cooker. It’s so simple to use. The rice was perfect first try. It may be small but three cups is more than enough for three people, so if anyone is hesitating due to size, don’t. The little chamber that collects water from the lid is just genius. It’s just perfect! I call mine the rice pig, as it’s the pink version and it looks like a little pig. Compared to the instant pot I bought at the same time, it’s a simple dream and I love that. You can NOT mess up
rice with this. You can set it, go out and come home to hot perfect right due to the fact it switches to “keep warm” after cooking.

This has been in my wish list for ages. Finally bought it and it made perfect rice, first time. So easy to use.
One cup of rice, one and a quarter of water, press white rice. Perfect.
I notice that a lot of reviews are saying that there is no countdown timer – I don’t see how there could be? the rice is finished when the water has evaporated and the weight of the pot is less. How can it predict how much rice you have put in and how much water and how quickly it will evaporate?
You soon learn how long your particular favourite takes and if it is ready before meal it just keeps it warm anyway.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe rice cooker is amazing and makes perfect rice! Pretty easy to clean, would be great if the pot was dishwasher safe but understand that it’s a limitation of the materials.
However, I ordered from the UK Amazon and was expecting the rice cooker to be delivered with a UK plug. Unfortunately, the device came from the manufacturer in Germany and only came with an EU plug. So now I have to use a bulky travel adapter in the kitchen whenever I want to cook rice. Would expect the rice cooker to come with a UK plug when being sold on UK Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAbsolutely love this rice cooker!!
It’s super simple to use, lots of settings and cooks rice to perfection. The parts are really easy to clean, it’s well made, nice and sturdy and does quite a lot of rice per person. We have about a half cup per person with most peaks and this does 3.5 cups max (depending on the rice) so can get a fair few portions at once.
The rice come out well cooked, (we’ve used the white, brown and sushi settings) and have been really impressed each time.
The keep warm is helpful as I can set the rice going and know that it’s ready and waiting whenever I get around to making dinner.
Won’t be going back to boiling rice in a pan ever again!!
(Also helps that this is super cute sat out on the bench!)

It could have got 5 stars but I gave it 4 as there were two things I did not like.

Hard to read the level of water required except in bright light, and secondly the menus have to be peered at to see them.

Otherwise it is exactly what I want in a rice cooker. I have had no issues with white, mixed or brown rice. I did have another cooker but that is in the cupboard. I use this regularly as I live on my own and it does single portions very well.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersWe have this little beauty now for a few weeks and we absolutely love it. I have been using rice cookers for over 30 years and this is definitely one of the best. We wanted to down size so we decided on this small version, which is compact, easy to clean and store away.
I have made basmati rice, sushi rice and porridge so far. The porridge takes an hour, 1 cup of porridge to 3 cups of liquid, but it really is worth waiting , as it’s the creamiest porridge ever.
As we both love to cook, I am subscribed to a zillion cooking channels, and 1 German chef uses Reishunger, which encouraged us to get one. i can highly recommend i

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI haven’t made rice in it as yet but have followed the instructions for pre-use. I didn’t find them that easy to follow, a bit too many buttons to push. Maybe when it gets to actually cook rice it will work better. I expect nothing less than perfection from a German machine! As for looks, it looks great. It’s actually quite a cute little machine compared to the huge normal sized one I own.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a good rice cooker. I’ve not tried all the features yet but the inner bowl is better quality than cheaper rice cookers I have used in the past. Like a lot of things these days, I think it is a little expensive but it is definitely a step up from cheap rice cookers. I don’t have any major qualms with this other than the inner lid is the same quality as found in budget machines.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersHow I wish this had an adapter for my Canadian voltage needs! I am n the UK with my daughter, who lives here, i purchased this item to make her life easier. It is AMAZING….steams my veggies in 10 minutes flat, cooks various types of rice in no time at all, and to perfection. Attractive, not monstrous in size, easy to operate, easy to clean. Waaaaaaah, I want one in Toronto!!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersBeing quite short on time due too work, we wanted a way to cook fast and somewhat tasty rice.
This Rice Cooker is exactly what we have hoped for. It is fast, tastes delicious and usability is pretty much intuitive. Living in a flat with two other guys, this cooker has become more or less the most important machine in the flat 😀 Especially as vegetarian, I use it for soups and vegetables, too. Tastes delicious ! So, if youre looking for some kitchen help, I would say you just found it 🙂
