La mejor actualización para tu GC
Compra obligatoria para cualquier coleccionista de GC. La mejora en el vdeo es significativa y se aprecia a primera vista, ahora bien, tendrs que trastear un rato en las opciones para optimizar bien la imagen.
La nica pega es lo que otros usuarios mencionan: el chinoso mando a distancia que trae. Deja bastante que desear en un producto con este rango de precio.
Parece devuelto, pero funciona como promete.
La caja vena con ciertas arrugas y daos. Con la pegatina de arriba levantada, y la pegatina de abajo mal pegada. Por tanto me da la impresin de que es un producto que ha sido devuelto previamente.
Tengo pendiente probar si funciona.
Actualizacin: el adaptador funciona perfectamente. Convierte mejor la seal y mejora la experiencia con respecto a conectar el cable analgico original. Aun as sigue sin ser mejor que jugar en un televisor CRT clsico.

The picture produced by the Prism is pretty amazing. It’s the best you’re going to get from an original Gamecube on a flatscreen HDTV, no doubt about it. Make sure to hold B upon console startup to make the game display in “progressive scan mode,” aka 480p, for best results. The vast majority of first-party Gamecube games support 480p and a lot of third-party games do too. For games that don’t, the Prism automatically uses “line doubling” to help.
My only problem with this product is getting the provided remote to bring up the device settings on-screen. It’s a hassle every single time. If not for this, I would give it 5 stars.

I have own the component cables before for GC, this is a much more future proof solution and if you like scanlines this provides that option. Unlock the potential of your GameCube
I’ve tried countless number of Hdmi adapters and they were always inadequate I.e. colours were washed out or the image didn’t upscale so I couldn’t play it on my Monitor. This one however, is brilliant. Not only does it upscale the image, it allows you to customize various aspects of the image such as saturation, scan lines etc. Provides a remote control for easier access, and best of all allows you to update the device via a usb-c cable which futureproofs it. Admittedly its a bit on the more expensive side of adapters but its absolutely worth it.

Si vous tes en 480I ou 576I mettez le ligne doubler sur OFF. car sur ON par default donnera une image qui vibre lgrement.

Adapter was great, but my TV isn’
The adapter worked great—except for the TV I intended to use it on. On a spare monitor—perfect. On my older Sony Bravia, everything was very pixelated. For some reason my TV would downscale everything to 240P. If I plugged it in with my capture card between the TV and the adapter, it was a nice 480P signal.
Along with the resolution switching lag issues when switching between gameplay and cut scenes, I decided it was a good product but not for what I have to work with right now.

Cet adaptateur s’utilise en complment du logiciel Swiss, le couteau suisse dvelopp par Extrems et Emukidid (forum gc-forever). Swiss permet par exemple de forcer le 480p (prcision : a ne veut pas dire que tous les jeux s’afficheront dans cette rsolution), au moyen d’un adaptateur HDMI de ce type.
Certains jeux sont malheureusement injouables via ce type d’adaptateur ( voir si une mise jour pourra corriger la chose ou non). La raison c’est que lorsque le jeu utilise une rsolution diffrente pour l’affichage des menus/inventaires/cutscenes, “la tl” met 1 2 secondes reprendre le fil (= cran noir), sauf que pendant ce temps le jeu continue. Au moins 3 jeux sont concerns : Resident Evil 4 (o on affiche souvent l’inventaire) et les 2 Star Wars, Rogue Leader et Rebel Strike. Dans ces derniers, les cutscene (comme les morts du joueur) sont en 304p, le jeu en 450p, donc l’cran n’arrte pas de jongler entre les diffrentes rsolutions, et il manque donc 2 ou 3 secondes au dbut de chaque cutscene. Pour Resident Evil 4, vous pouvez vous faire zigouiller alors que l’cran est toujours noir. Ct amlioration graphique, le rsultat est pire sur RE4, et mitig pour les 2 Star Wars (les vaisseaux sont plus nets, mais les ciels bleus et gris absolument immondes). Pour tre prcis, le prism HDMI amplifie ici nettement des dfauts graphiques qui taient bien moins visibles avant, du fait de la moindre rsolution. Le jeu TimeSplitters 3 souffre aussi de ce problme (edit : mais en multi c’est OK).
Pour certains jeux, l’adaptateur HDMI n’apporte quasiment aucune amlioration graphique (notable). On peut citer : Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 2, les 2 Zelda.
Certains jeux bnficient d’une amlioration, sans que ce soit ouf : Luigi’s Mansion, Beyond Good and Evil, Mario Power Tennis, Metroid Prime 1 et 2, Mario Kart DD.
Le jeu test qui bnficie de la plus nette amlioration : F Zero GX. Suivent TimeSplitters 2 (edit : il y a un gros problme au niveau de l’image, qui est rogne sur le bas, gchant surtout le multijoueur, les options de la tlcommande n’y changeant rien), Paper Mario, Smash Bros.
Dans tous les cas, en 480p les textes des jeux s’affichent de faon bien plus nette. C’est un plus indniable, malheureusement contrebalanc par l’amplification des dfauts graphiques sur certains jeux (je pense TimeSplitters 3).
L’adaptateur est fourni avec une tlcommande. A part la “brightness” qu’il faut parfois corriger, je n’ai pas not de franches amliorations en modifiant certains des paramtres. Le logiciel derrire le prism HDMI est toujours en dveloppement (test en version 3.0), donc rien n’est fig.
Pour conclure : un adaptateur sympa avec un gros bmol concernant les jeux rsolutions multiples, d’autant que la rsolution est affiche dans un coin de l’cran chaque modification, ce qui nous sort du jeu.

Para jugar a 480p en una tele Full HD, tiene bastantes opciones y tambien puedes forzar a 16:9 muchos mas juegos. Tiene muchas mejoras de video como scanlines y filtros. Es un must have si quieres sacarle el mayor provecho a la salida de video de tu Gamecube.

Excelente aditamento para Game Cube. Le mejora de Imagen con el mismo tanto en juegos de Game Cube, as como el Game Boy Player es muy evidente. En Mxico casi triplica su precio por impuestos aduanales, pero aun as estoy muy complacido con su desempeo. Si te gusta jugar en Televisiones actuales con la mejor calidad de Imagen posible este parece ser el nico aditamento no Tan Imposible de adquirir.

Super je suis heureuse de rejouer majora’s Mask. Malheureusement j’ai un soucis le son se dcale par rapport l’action, je dois dbrancher et rebrancher l’hdmi pour que le son ne soit pas dcaler. Si quelqu’un sait le rglage je suis preneuse !

Avant toute chose il est bon de rappeler que cet adaptateur ne transformera pas votre Game cube en PS4 niveau graphisme.
Cet adaptateur vous permettra donc de connecteur votre Gamecube sur tout cran rcent en HDMI et profiter de la meilleure image possible. Avant de commander, pensez a vrifier le modle de votre console, en effet seule les premires versions de la console, les DOL001 sont quipes de la sortie vido numrique sur laquelle l’adaptateur vient se connecter.
Une fois install, vous pouvez directement profiter de vos jeux dans une qualit jusque la inaccessible.
La tlcommande fournie vous permettra de rgler l’image a votre convenance, modifier le volume et activer ou dsactiver les scanlines pour les fans de nos bonnes vieilles tv cathodiques. Le rendu est sublime et permet de se rendre compte de tout le potentiel de cette machine, la WiiU n’a qua bien se tenir! Les couleurs sont bien rendues, l’image clatante et aucun input lag n’est a dplorer (pensez a mettre votre tl en mode jeux).
Au final, cet adaptateur est sans doute le meilleur de ce qu’il se fait en prt a l’usage, son port USB permettra de la mettre a jour dans le futur (il est livr par dfaut avec la dernire version de GCVido en date) le tout pour un prix abordable compar aux solution concurrentes et d’une qualit d’assemblage tout a fait correcte.
Je le recommande a tout possesseur de Gamecube!

Also a good thing to know is when you start up any Game Cube game as soon as you turn on the console press and hold the B button this will turn on progressive scan mode which make some games look even better! As long as the game supports it! But was worth money! I highly recommend it!

Der Adapter ist zwar nicht der billigste, aber der einzige der den digitalen Ausgang auf der Gamecube verwendet und die Qualitt ist um lngen besser und endlich auch auf HD Fernsehern ansehnlich. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
Funktioniert wunderba
Dies ist meine erste Produktrezension, aber ich wollte unbedingt eine schreiben, weil ich so begeistert bin. Nach mehreren Versuchen mit gnstigeren Upscalern, welche nie vernnftige Ergebnisse lieferten, bin ich auf dieses Gert gestoen und bin hochauf begeistert. Es macht, was es soll, funktioniert Plug-and-Play und macht den Gamecube endlich an 4K Fernsehern nutzbar. Sogar Dolby Surround Sound wird wie gewnscht wiedergegeben, ein Feature, das der Nintendo Switch bis heute fehlt. Daher: volle 5Sterne von mir. 🙂

Me gust bastante la construccin del conector, se ve bastante slida. El control remoto realmente tiene como 1 metro de alcance, lo que hace realmente incmodo cambiar opciones. Lo otro que no me gust del sistema, es que no tiene opciones avanzadas de video, por ejemplo no tiene suavizador o distintos filtros de imagen, interpolacin como hq o eagle, o filtro bilinear, por lo que eso lo debes ajustar con el televisor. Opciones de sonido igualmente bastante limitada, solo deja subir o bajar volumen . Por sencillez y precio, si lo recomiendo. Funcionando con GC Versin DOL-001 USA

El aparato bien, su mando... no
Despus de llevar das usndolo, he de decir que en cuanto al aparato en s, todo perfecto. Encaja bien, y emite la seal digital nativa lo cual es una ventaja.
Lo malo? El mando que trae. Desde el inicio pierde la mitad de las pulsaciones que le hago. A los 20 minutos directamente dej de funcionar. Prob a ponerle pila nueva y nada.
De suerte que el mando a distancia LG de una TV pequea que tengo en un cuarto lo pilla y puedo entrar al men, porque el resto de mandos de mi casa no los detecta. El mando es blando y barato, cuando pulsas notas como se te dobla en la palma de la mano, con diferencia lo peor de lo peor.
Pero en cuanto al adaptador, un 10. Recomendadsimo. Uso GameCube PAL y con Swiss forzando el progresivo, el F-Zero GX, Zelda TP o Metroid Prime se ven de maravilla.

I’ve bought a few Retro-bit products in the past and was in the market for an decent HDMI adapter for my Xeno chip modded GameCube. Luckily for me while prepping my wishlist the day before Prime Day, I came across Kaico’s Gamecube HDMI adapter which had still been stuck in my cart for over 6 months and I had planned on purchasing it… not UNTIL Amazon recommended the Retro-Bit Prism HDMI adapter then a miracle happened: Retro-Bit discounted their product from $79.99 (the same price as Kaico’s) to $67.99. Right then I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up since I didn’t know how long this discount would last or if it was limited to Prime Day. It arrived the next day after purchasing it and after using it, I couldn’t be any more happier since it worked as advertised, although navigating through the menus using the remote might take some getting used to. Hands down, this is one of the most affordable GC HDMI adapters on the market, and as a bonus it can receive future firmware updates unlike Kaico’s. Retro-bit is out here doing the Lord’s work 🙂 .
La mejor manera de disfrutar de tu Gamecube en la actualidad
Este adaptador es de las mejores opciones que te puedes topar en el mercado. La calidad del producto es muy buena, ademas que se aprecia mucho la inclusion del control remoto para facilmente navegar a traves del menu de ajustes del adaptador. El adaptador viene con la version del firmware GCvideo mas actualizada, asi que de entrada no hay que meterle mano a nada, y con su puerto USB C vuelve muchisimo mas facil el proceso de instalarle en un futuro versiones nuevas.
La calidad de imagen que sale del adaptador es la mejor que el gamecube puede ofrecer. Dentro de la configuracion del adaptador puedes ajustar resolucion (480p siendo la mas adecuada) y la relacion aspecto de la imagen (4:3 o 16:9).
Un detalle que siento es importante que solo he visto que me ha pasado a mi, es que en ocaciones el sonido salia distorcionado, pero tras experimentar con todo y hablar al soporte de retrobit, descubri que causante del problema era el monitor donde los estaba usando. Probe en distintas pantallas y en la unica que tenia este problema era en mi monitor. Aunque ese problema solo surge con el adaptador, tengo distintas consolas y aparatos conectadas al mismo monitor, y jamas habia tenido ese problema. Solo me pasa con este adaptador.
Asi que si planean usar este adaptador en un monitor como el mio (LG 24GL600F), quedan advertidos. Desconozco si en otros monitores pase lo mismo, todo el resto de pruebas fueron hechas en televisiones.
En conclusion, si quieres sacarle el mayor provecho a tu Gamecube, este adaptador es imprescindible.

Fr att kunna nyttja progressivt lge krvs det antingen att spelet stdjer det eller att man tvingar det genom mjukvara som till exempel Swiss. Detta funkar riktigt bra och gr bilden nnu skarpare, nstan ett mste om du sitter med PAL-spel.
There are many GCVideo-derived GameCube HDMI adapters out in the market. What makes the Retro-bit Prism so great? Two things: Price and ease of use.
Much like Insurrection Industries “Carby”, the adapter is among one of the cheaper variants of the GameCube HDMI adapter, while still maintaining a very good build quality for the price. The connector is made of metal, and is designed much like the sought-after Official Component Cables for the system. The difference between this and the Carby is the inclusion of a USB 3.0 port, allowing anyone with a (presumably Windows) PC to update the firmware for newer features. (Other devices with the GCVideo firmware version 3.0 or later require the use of 3rd-party GameCube devices such as the Action Reply, while those with even earlier firmware require the use of linking to JTAG Headers, which would be a lot more difficult for end-users.)
Just be be clear: The Retro-bit Prism isn’t designed to upscale the GameCube’s output of 480p to 1080p, rather its spits out an all-digital 480p signal from beginning to end, eliminating any lag that may result from trying to convert an analog signal back into digital.
As it stands, it is an overall great accessory for owners of the DOL-001 model GameCube (the ones that include a Digital AV Out port).
Looking around, this is the cheapest way you’re going to get a digital video out of your 001 Gamecube. Absolutely makes a difference getting 480p signals out of the ‘cube, and even using my TV’s native upscaling it looks amazing.
I use it for my Gamecube player mainly and for it I needed to softmod it with Swiss. You can get away without that, but some games (like 007: Agent Under Fire) only natively output at some terrible resolutions and by using Swiss you can force them to give you that succulent 480p.
Out of all the current options, I highly recommend Retro-Bit (and if you want to get an upscaler to double/triple your resolution after because your TV is bad at it, I’d look into OSSC).

Das Produkt, insbesondere mit angeschlossenem HDMI-Kabel, ist relativ schwer, weshalb es leicht abwrts neigt im angeschlossenen Zustand. Dies lsst sich mit einem 3D-gedruckten Teil beheben (wer Interesse hat, kann in der Suchmaschine des Vertrauens die Stichwrter prism brace gamecube” eingeben). Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist der Abstand zum analogen Ausgang. Falls dieser weiterhin fr Ton verwendet werden soll, ist der freie Raum eng bemessen.
Inbetriebnahme und Einstellungen:
Der Prism ist sofort einsatzbereit, sodass dieser lediglich mit der Konsole und dem Fernseher verbunden werden muss. Die werksseitigen Einstellungen sind, in meinen Augen, fr den Groteil der Nutzer bereits ideal.
Wer allerdings selbst Hand anlegen mchte, kann die Fernbedienung nutzen. Im Men finden sich Einstellungen fr alle Ausgabemodus der GameCube: Fr 480p und 576p ist ein konfigurierbarer Scanline-Filter vorhanden. Fr die Modus 240p, 288p, 480i und 576i ist ein Line Doubler zum Hochskalieren auf 480p bzw. 576p verfgbar. Dieser ermglicht es ebenfalls in den anderen Modus Scanlines anzuwenden. Bild- und Tonqualitt:
Die Ausgabe des Retro-Bit Prism ist scharf und sauber. Auch Farben werden sehr krftig und lebhaft mit gutem Kontrast dargestellt. Die digitale Tonausgabe wird rauschfrei und ohne Verzerrungen ber das HDMI-Kabel bertragen. Das Bild lsst sich mit den vorher genannten Optionen individualisieren und anpassen.
Firmware Updates:
Der Prism bietet einen USB-C Anschluss an fr knftige Firmware Updates. Da es allerdings noch keine verfgbar waren zum Kaufzeitpunkt, lsst sich der Prozess selbst noch nicht bewerten.
Fazit:
Wer eine Mglichkeit sucht einen GameCube an einen modernen Fernseher anzuschlieen und ein DOL-001 Modell besitzt wird mit dem Prism zufrieden sein. Die Verarbeitung, sowie die Video- und Tonqualitt, sind hochwertig und die Inbetriebnahme sehr einfach. Fr den Poweruser hat der Prism einige Zusatzfunktionen, um ein optimales Bild zu erzielen. Fr DOL-101 Besitzer ist es ratsam stattdessen zu einem RetroTINK RAD2X zu greifen.

El adaptador simplemente hace lo que dice que va a hacer, los juegos que aceptan 480p se ven fenomenales e incluso los que solo se ven en 480i se siguen viendo mucho mejor gracias al “line doubler”.
Viendo al Prism solo por su precio, es de las maneras mas econmicas para tener la mejor calidad de imagen para el Gamecube.

El adaptador es increble, manda una seal digital limpia directa va HDMI. Los juegos se ven limpios y luce el talento de muchos juegos. (No se van a ver REMASTERIZADOS, pero s los juegos se ven super limpios). Los juegos de Gamecube lucen en su mejor presentacin y viene con robustas opciones para aquellos que buscan sacar la mejor calidad de video de la consola (usas el control incluido para ello).
Con un GameBoy Player, los juegos tambin pasan a la pantalla grande y se ven increbles. No he usado Swiss y su interfaz de Gameboy, o un upscaler, pero el disco de arranque de Gameboy Player hace que los juegos resalten mucho y en 480p se ve muy muy bien.
Una de las cosas que me gustara remarcar es que, mientras la seal de video es increble, el audio es de 5 estrellas. Audio digital limpio y que puede ponerse en Stereo o Surround Dolby. Todos los juegos suenan fantsticos. Los fans del GameBoy amarn este adaptador en su Gamecube. He estado usando audfonos para jugar varios juegos y estoy realmente contento con l.
Si deseas hacer tu Gamecube definitivo, esto es una compra necesaria (y la verdad, es el ms econmico de todos en el mercado).

Running the same GC Video software as the EON and Carby adapters, the Prism HD is an essential purchase for any retro gaming fan to get the best video quality out of their GameCube. Whilst this does support a maximum resolution of 480p, PAL systems will need to use homebrew software, such as Swiss, in order to force the 480p resolution as PAL games do not natively support 480p.
As mention in this products description, you must ensure that your GameCube is model DOL-001, as the Prism HD can only connect to the Digital AV port on the console.
The build quality is good, features are great and the image quality (especially using Swiss to force 480p) is fantastic. Best of all, future firmware updates will be easy to do thanks to the USB-C port on the side of the unit, ensuring that the adapter can always be kept up-to-date.
Cannot recommend highly enough. Totally worth the money.
Matériel de qualité et améliorant l'experience de jeu
Je viens de le recevoir et de le tester, il faut savoir que j’ai une Gamecube pal franaise et des jeux pal franais, donc thoriquement moins concern par le produit ( ne pouvant profiter du 480p natif )
J’ai quand mme pris le risque et je ne suis pas du. La premire chose qui frappe et la diffrence audio, branch une barre de son la qualit n’a rien voir et est bien meilleure.
Concernant l’image, je ressens un meilleur contraste et une image plus nette. Je vous ai mis une photo avant / aprs pour vous permettre de constater la diffrence.

Der Retro-Bit Prism HDMI-Adapter fr den GameCube ist perfekt, um das Bestmgliche aus echter Hardware herauszukitzeln.
Ich empfehle, die Einstellung “Line doubler” auszuschalten und in den “Picture settings” die Sttigung (“Saturation”) auf +4 zu stellen.
Anbei ein paar Vergleichs-Screenshots aus Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: die Legende vom onentor und dem Game Boy Player sowie ein Screenshot der UI (nativ aufgenommen mit einer elgato HD60 S+ Capture-Karte). Besonders feine Details im Hintergrund wie die Porta Sole in der Mitte im ersten Bild und der Schriftzug unten im zweiten Bild sind besser zu erkennen und die Farben sind deutlich satter und schner.
Die Qualitt der Fernbedienung ist so lala, aber man wird sie ohnehin nur wenig benutzen. Sie funktioniert.
Alles in allem ein gutes Produkt. Natrlich kann es nicht zaubern und das Bild so aussehen lassen wie bei einem Emulator, aber der Adapter tut alles in seiner Macht, um es so nah wie mglich daran kommen zu lassen.

I want to start this by saying that this device ONLY works on a gamecube with a digital output. If you have a gamecube with only analog out (DOL-101), it’s not possible to use the Retrobit UNLESS you put in some serious modifications to your console, like I did. I got the castlemania digital port upgrade kit for that, but that’s not what my review is about. Just want to put it out there as an option if you’re solder-savvy.
As of right now, I can’t get progressive scan to work properly, the screen is cut off at the bottom and the chopped-off bit is at the top. Normal mode is amazing! Photos are of a 50-inch TV with 4k upscaling built in. It’s so amazing to have my gamecube put out crystal-clear video like this.
Overall, this is an amazing plug-and-play option to easily convert your gamecube to beautiful HDMI.
