This is one of those games you can sink your teeth into, and basically lose hours on! Lots of replay value, lots to explore. Only thing I didn’t like was the included DLC, shooting zombies in the mansion didn’t really do it for me, however main game is brilliant! Treat yourself!
I love these new Tomb Raider games.. Bearing witness and getting to experience the ups and downs of Lara Crofts origins story off her becoming the Tomb Raider…
There is plenty to do in this game and it comes with a amazing storyline.. At first it will same like the same old, it can be felt like a slow starter, but stick to it.. And as you progress through the game and explore aswell as you take a break from the Main Storyline missions you will fall in love with this game.
You will have to anyway to upgrade Lara’s Skills and upgrade her weapons and obviously you gain special abilities when you complete hidden tombs…
You will need all the above if you are to complete the game..
Battling your enemies is fun as you use the environment and weapon crafting to take down your enemies….
And at times you will find yourself taking a stealthier approach. You will certainly have to alternate between the all guns blazing and duck and cover and the stealthier approach.
If you really enjoyed the 1st Reboot in this gaming series Tom Raider (2013) then you will really love Rise of the Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary Edition. Which is a sequel.. Many people might think that
Rise of the Tomb Raider 25th Editon is a Special Edition of Tomb Raider (2013) with just all the DLC added to it. I can assure you that this a SEQUEL and the 2nd Installment of the Tomb Raider Reboot Origins story Trilogy.
I myself thought it was Tomb Raider 2013 with the added DLC included.. Then it became available through my PS Plus subscription for free… and found out it was a sequel. Then. my Membership ran out so I bought the disc copy, which appears not to be easy to find..

Enjoyable for the Casual Game
This was a fun game with an enjoyable story line. Perfect for winding down at the weekend with some playstation. I’d recommend it for the casual gamer as once the main storyline is complete (15-20hrs), that’s pretty much it.

– Too many linear corridor sections where you can do nothing but shoot and loot
– Endless action set pieces; Lara nearly drowns every 10 minutes *gasps*
– Not enough Tomb-raiding/puzzle solving
-Not enough wide open Stealth areas
– The game is just too easy; even on the hardest difficulty Lara can heal quickly and can rip through enemies with ease

A roller coaster ride with Lara
Rise of the Tomb Raider – 20 Year Celebration happens to be one of my favourite games ever. For good reason too! After the definitive edition, you could have been forgiven for thinking the graphics and the storytelling went up several notches with this one. Yes, Lara is there with her usual spunky attitude, her array of weapons (that require upgrades based on money and tasks) and her never-say-die attitude. However, this takes place in a wintry landscape – the enemies are somehow tougher, the tasks exciting, and the weapons kick ass.
The storytelling is top grade. Although, the landscape that is meant to be sombre and bleakish may dampen the spirit of the player, Lara is at it again. The opening sequence throws you into the deep end of the action right away.
I have always loved the Lara Croft series and this comes on top among the three.

Really good game and a solid addition that does the Tomb Raider franchise justice. Game play is fun and challenging, good storyline, tonnes of hours of game play.
Definitely worth picking up if you can find at a reasonable price. Enjoy!

This brings back all the memories of those early games with the sharper graphics, gameplay and everythig that comes with the PS4
I played the other tomb raider PS4 game which was good too but i think this is a big step up – a really extensive story, superb gameplay. beautiful locations A fantastic game

Excellent game with great content and story. Also includes DLC, with the very good Blood Ties story. Already spent many, many hours playing it. Worth the price.

I liked everything about the game the story was very good and there were plenty of documents and relics to collect when the main game had finished. Graphics are excellent, enemies are smart and responsive.

After playing the 1st tomb raider, my son bought me this one. Always been a fan of Lara Croft and this game was no different. It came with bonus weapons and outfits that would benefit in certain situations. And a bonus dlc which was great to play. Thoroughly enjoyed playing

Good game, good price, arrived fairly quick, new style of combat system which could be better but playing on survivor mode can get pretty tough. A great intrepid story line with plenty of action and adventure, recommended if you like games that challenge the player…

Great game, i played the previous ones but this one it’s on another level, i recommend it definitely if you played the previous tomb raider or Uncharted games.

A great game with plenty of adventures to conquer.
Delivered on time and good value. The game does have some very difficult and challenging moments but if you can overcome them then it will be a great feeling!

It’s been many years since I last played a Tomb Raider game and I’d forgotten how much of an adventure they could be. The latest incarnation of Lara Croft is an altogether more plausible character, and the re-telling of her story has given opportunity to clean the slate and build something new. Rise of the Tomb Raider starts with several cut sequences to set the scene and set you on your way. The game gives plenty of opportunity to quickly learn how to control Lara’s abilities, and opportunity to use them. There’s an emphasis on collecting resources and plenty of collectable items along the way to keep your eyes open. As an aside, it does always surprise me that considering she’s basically an archaeologist Lara is very quick to smash her way through the environment and ancient artefacts.
The story is immersive, if a little far-fetched at times, but tramps along at a decent pace. There’s a great deal to see and plenty of combat situations and/or reason to sneak around. The game presents you with several fiendish puzzles to work out, and is all done so in a beautifully detailed environment.
There’s definitely a Nathan Drake inspiration through the game, not that that is necessarily a bad thing. It’ll take you a couple of weeks of solid playing to get all the way though the game and find all of the collectibles, but it’s enjoyable the whole way through. It’s perhaps just a notch down from the level of God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn, but is still a highly recommended game.

Per il momento non mi fa impazzire.. sono profondamente legata a TR Legend, secondo me il miglior TR di sempre. Il giusto mix di enigmi, azione, survival, combattimenti con armi e a corpo libero….
Questo TR ( il primo a cui gioco della serie del reboot) e boh.. un po’ monotono. Estremamente impegnativo per trovare tutte le cose, potendo vagare in aree molto pi ampie, e i combattimenti non sono cos entusiasmanti come un tempo (trovo che le leve siano troppo sensibili agli spostamenti nonostante le impostazioni sistemate e questo porta spesso a sbagliare direzioni in situazioni dove bisogna fare mooolto in fretta).
L’estetica mi disturba un attimo… Non la mia Lara. La bella morettona con 2 kg di trucco.. si ok una versione pi giovane.. ma non ci assomiglia molto. Ho 30 anni.. quindi probabilmente il.ricordo delle vecchie saghe troppo vivido. Immagino che le nuove generazioni che non hanno visto lo splendore non sappiano tutto questo e possa piacere.
Comunque ora sono solo ai primi livelli.. vedremo..

In my opinion, the best Tomb Raider game so far. Lots of side quests, optional tombs to explore with some great puzzles. Collectables, crafting, weapons and upgrades, skill upgrades, combat, stealth and hunting for resources. 5 difficulty levels to keep every gamer happy
Be patient and get past the initial training missions, then it becomes more immersive.

Loved the first game got half way through the second game!!! As it kept making me jump so i stoped for a while but am continuing it now. I used to watch my mother play the games back in the 90s so now I’m playing them!!!

Wow! What a game. Probably one of the best single player campaigns to date. A lengthy game with an amazing amount of collectables. The DLC really adds an extra dimension to an already huge game. One of the best so far. If your anything like me you’ll spend hrs trying to find everything.
Main buying point for me is that its a game you can put on for an hour and come back to again and again without losing track of where you are. A really immersive game with visuals to match!

Good game marked it 4* as I don’t like timing challenges which were in many of the tombs. It was what stop me playing tomb raider years ago with to tight times and also stupid jumps. But apart from that yes good game.

Played the previous Tomb Raider on my old Xbox. So had to give this a try.
Even better, story line is great and plenty of hours gameplay.
having played all the uncharted games ,and overall having had my fill of such a format I was taken in to purchase this game second hand at a very good price. Its been a breath of fresh air and already in many aspects a far better game ,than say uncharted 4 .simply because of the freedom and all the extras. ie skill points . A very worthy purchase and I will no doubt enjoy many hours of exploring at such a great price. A must for anyone into such a type of game.

Liked it but did not love it like the previous Tomb Raider, I thought the game was a bit short and did not have so many challenges and as much variety. However the previous game TOMB RAIDER was a classic/masterpiece in my opinion so difficult to top

After a very long wait us PS4 people finally get our grubby hands on Lara Croft’s latest. The annoyance of Microsoft’s underhanded deal having calmed, we can enjoy the full Rise of the Tomb Raider experience. That’s right, all the DLC is included on the disc, perhaps as an apology to those who were fans of Tomb Raider all through the 90’s (me). And the game? Yeah, its a beaut! I’m so glad Tomb Raider has finally come home, as the much hyped Uncharted 4 did nothing for me (too much a hand-held adventure movie game). This game improves on the fantastic original in about every way. A better story, better mechanics, more open, better missions, better characters etc etc. It has everything I’d hoped it would. The DLC is also very well created, slotting into the open game world nicely. There’s a much better feeling of ancient tombs in this game (than the ‘puzzle rooms’ of the last one) and its a game that encourages you to have a second playthrough once you’ve finished the main story. The mechanics are smooth and the graphics are amazing.
So perhaps we all had to go the long way round to finally get to play this game. And maybe there’s a touch of bitterness about that too. But in the end, for long time fans of Tomb Raider, its just great to have it back on the Playstation, where it belongs.
