The Designer
Scottish by birth, Gordon Ramsay was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. With an injury prematurely putting and end to any hopes of a promising career in football, he went back to college to complete a course in hotel management. His dedication and natural talent led him to train with some of the best chefs, such as Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon in France. In 1993 Gordon became chef of Aubergine in London. Within three years he was awarded two Michelin stars. In 1998, at the age of 31, Ramsay set up his first wholly owned and namesake restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which quickly received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world – three Michelin stars. Today, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is London’s one of the longest -running restaurant to hold this accolade, and Ramsay is one of only four chefs in the U.K. to maintain three stars.

Overall very nice – but as with other reviews – I found one dinner plate chipped and cracked. I didn’t open the boxes for several weeks after delivery as I didn’t need to use the sets right away. I’d recommend you check straight away. They need to have better quality control checks prior to packing.
Excellent dinner set! Packaged really well and in perfect condition, which I was glad because this is a Xmas gift. Really impressed with the quality and value for money as this was on offer when I purchased it at 54.99.

Spent a while looking round department stores for a good simple design dinner set. Found this one. Great value for money. Would say more an off white. Great design downside is not oven proof and had to purchase 2 sets as only come with 4 plates etc.. Arrived securely in loads of packaging.

We have had the Gordon Ramsay white Maze plates (along with matching coffee mugs, flat white mugs & saucers) for some time, so it was a no brainer to get these when we wanted something in grey. They are a great colour and arrived packed very, very well. There was a crush / dent on one corner of the carton from the courier, but the packaging absorbed this and all was in tact in the carton. The look great, wash well and are quite tough.
Really good dinner set. The colour makes vegetables look bright and appealing. The bowls and plates are all relatively large so beware portion size – you can fit an awful lot on.

A very nice set of plates and bowls. Both sets of plates are a great size and the high lip on the dinner plates let you load up the plate and stop anything from falling or dripping off the side. They are nice and heavy and feel solid. The bowls are just the right size wide at the base and don’t sit too high around the rim. Overall can’t fault them.

Having already owned this dinner set we ordered some more to top it up.
Very elegant design, seems sturdy enough. I put it through dishwasher and it came out nice and shiny. Colour is not white, though, it is more creamy. Price is very good. I found it on Dunelm and eBay website for much more. All in all very pleased and I would recommend it.

One of my plates was broken in the box. i have disposed of it and ordered a replacement plate from Dunelm rather than send the whole lot back.

Classy but no cups as photo another 22-24 pounds for 4 cups. Photo is misleading so grateful for them but feel let down by sales pitch photo.
3 years in the quality of the crockery is evident. The new set just purchased is indistinguishable from the 3 year old set. That’s had a family of four using it every day with daily dishwashing. I’m very impressed.

Lovely dining set, it came securely packaged and without any issues. The dinner plates are fairly large, which is why I would have preferred pasta bowls as part of the set, rather than the cereal bowls. Good product overall.

A lovely set, awesome looking and a bit bigger than most normal plate sets. The edge of the parge plates have a non intrusive lip which is great for food served with a runny sauce.

Great set, I ordered 2! Unfortunately even after reading reviews and thinking I had measured correctly, the dinner plate is too big for my dishwasher. I’m still happy overall though. Came well packed and in perfect condition.
