The Designer
Scottish by birth, Gordon Ramsay was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. With an injury prematurely putting and end to any hopes of a promising career in football, he went back to college to complete a course in hotel management. His dedication and natural talent led him to train with some of the best chefs, such as Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon in France. In 1993 Gordon became chef of Aubergine in London. Within three years he was awarded two Michelin stars. In 1998, at the age of 31, Ramsay set up his first wholly owned and namesake restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which quickly received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world – three Michelin stars. Today, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is London’s one of the longest -running restaurant to hold this accolade, and Ramsay is one of only four chefs in the U.K. to maintain three stars.

I bought the large bowls some years ago and regretted not buying the full set. Very happy with these the plates are a generous size and have a nice gradient ideal for dishes with gravy and the items have a nice wait. Overall great value.
A stylish set of crockery. Be aware that the dinner plates are large and rather heavy.
Bought mine from Amazon for half the price of the Royal Doulton shop.

A really practical day to day set. Just the right serving sizes and a beautiful but simple design.
So pleased with these lovely plates and bowls; I bought 2 sets. I would say they area a warm white colour. I love the fact that the plates are slightly wider than my old ones yet still fit nicely in the dishwasher. I am just more careful with the loading now as they have a definite curved lip on them so fit closer together. I like this design of plate as it’s so useful if you like a lot of gravy! I don’t know yet about durability as haven’t had them long but overall I’m very happy with them.

Item were extremely well packaged, no breakages during transit. Really pleased with the price given the total to replace individual items, definitely value for money for timeless and beautiful tableware.

A little pricey but great quality. The look and feel of the stoneware reflects the price. Wish there was a 6 piece setting instead of having to buy two lots of the 4. Would definitely buy again.
