My old generator iron was leaking water so I needed a new one, and this was really cheap and so lightweight as I’m disabled so no heavy items as I can’t lift too much as it would hurt me

This is a great item very easy to use, it’s lightweight but has no trouble dealing euth heavy items like jeans. It’s clever too with no temperature gauge its amazing. It instantly adjusts the heating level depending on what material you are trying to iron. It’s very well made and looks as though it will last a long time with a handy lock feature to easily help you move the iron and base to where you want to put it. Another useful feature is the quick start up function and the auto cut out function is another good idea. My old Swan steam generator iron was good for many years till the steam function failed. This iron however is so much better and we are well plaesd with it and give it 5 stars.
This is so much better than the Philips iron I bought last year that cost me three times the price! It’s very powerful and heats up quickly. Very pleased

Bought this product to replace one I’ve had for 10 years. Good price, simple to use, the iron itself is lightweight, my older one was quite heavy. Not had it for long, but so far so good.

I’ve only just bought this so only used it twice.. I live alone so don’t get a lot of ironing so it suits my needs the steam is pretty good on it and it’s easy to use . Lighter items only need ironing one side .. the cable is nice and long but it is pretty heavy to carry to wherever u r going store it the water tank is a generous size but if u do a lot of ironing I would suggest u pay a little bit more and get one of the dearer models . My friend paid 200 for one and says it’s cut her ironing time in half but if u only want to pay wat I wanted to pay I recommend this iro
Our last one packed up so bought this on Prime and it arrived next day. My wife says it’s as good as, or even better than her old one. Happy days!

This is a decent steam iron although I am a little disappointed with it as it isn’t as good as my last steam generator iron. However my last one was double the price of this one so I guess you get what you pay for. This iron is lightweight and easy to use and there is a decent amount of steam but it seems to take a while for the steam to come out after pressing the button. I start ironing a sleeve and press the steam button but the steam only comes out once I have finished ironing the sleeve and stood the iron on it’s end again. So it is a bit of a timing issue that you have to get used to I guess so that is why only four stars.
Bought this after buying another make for the same money and having to return it. This one seems great. Its quite a light iron if you like a weighty one but otherwise i can only recommend it. Packs a good punch of steam and has a large water tank.

Good product very easy to use and really helps reduce creases quickly, the 3 speed steam setting is fantastic for delicate clothes and also the harder to iron fully creased materials

last iron broke so needed a new one. seen this and thought would give it a try. well worth the money. fill up the resevoir, plug in turn on wait a few mins to warm up and its ready to go, really good steam on it a light weight iron and a good length on the lead and steam hose. on the down side its a little on the large side so needs a dedicated place to put away but thats the only down side in my opinion.
Absolutely brilliant value for money , lightweight to use, makes ironing super quick , even on stubborn creases , has handles convenient to pick up whilst still hot , I’ve had these irons before but this one definately my favourite
Great system and a more controlled release of steam. An advance on the previous product which management years.
Had a previous version of the Russell Hobbs iron which seemed to be more robust. However, one of the good points is that the water reservoir needs to be emptied when ironing is complete and the iron is stored away. When using, remember that the reservoir is quite large so the water takes a while to heat up before trying to iron.
Pressing seems to be very efficient.
Excellent! Morexstesm than youvcan shake a stick at! Or not, depending if you operate the steam switch on the underside of the handle, of course. That is the only negative thing: the switch on the underside of the handle. For long ironing sessions that could become a strain. Otherwise it is great! Much better than a standard iron, I reckon. Worth a try……
It is a little different to the last steam generator iron. You have to wait a few seconds for the steam to come through and then you have to get used to letting go of the button a few seconds before lifting off material otherwise you waste a load of steam!
But is a great iron and is working well 🙂

Have always had the Morphy Richards steam generator but decided to go with this one as it was considerably cheaper. I am not disappointed…its easy to use and has two steam settings. Would recommend.
Very pleased with this iron, water dispenser is easy to refill, was a little wary of the settle plate not being metal but it works absolutely fine

Iron seemed to lightweight to be good enough, but we are very happy with it. Goes through shirts easily & crease free. takes half the time to do weekly ironing
This iron is amazing, makes light work of a huge ironing pile. Takes a while to heat up and it does need refilling quite a lot but that’s a small price to pay for the wonderful job it does on clothes etc. Recommend
My last iron died after about 3 years, it was quite an expensive one. I decided to go for a cheaper one this time and it was a great decision. The water tank is big so less refilling. It heats up quickly, great as I can be impatient! The cord is plenty long enough and it looks quite nice too.
I wouldn’t always go for the lower priced appliance but in this case it was well worth it.

Only complaint is that if you accidently iron on wrong heat setting its really diffucult to clean head.

All you really need from an iron is the ability to smooth out clothes/materials and this iron does just that.
First steam generator iron we have had very pleased with its ease of use and the amount of steam produced. Like that it has on /off switch on the unit very useful when using it while doing sewing projects ( intermittent use) steam takes a couple of seconds to get to the iron but this was as expected and not a problem
It’s is great iron it’s a lot quickie to iron clothes so much better than the normal iron.
This is my second steam generator iron .
Once you have used one you won’t go back to a normal iron.

Bought to replace a 10 year old steam generator iron – this is lighter I am pleased with the performance and it packs away easily.
This was a replacement for our previous one that stopped emitting steam, mainly because my wife didn’t read the instructions about changing the filter, so it got blocked with lime scale. So we got this model which she’s very pleased with, and will be changing the filter as necessary and also filling up with softened water.
Very easy to use and did the job it’s supposed to do.
Great little buy. I was dubious as it was cheap. It does what it says at a great price. Positives are it’s lightweight, warms up quick, has cable tidy for cable to iron, irons lovely, steams great, iron one side of garment only, great price. Picky negatives no cable tidy for cable to mains but has a handy place for plug and emptying water is a pain as you remove tank and it can be tricky to empty it. I preferred my old one where you released a lever and it emptied at bottom via a spout.
I ordered this as I like to iron on the hangers as it is a lot quicker!! This is fab and so easy to use!! Wish I had bought it ages ago!! <3 xxx
It’s lightweight, it has lots of steam and a long power cord and steam hose so plonk the base unit on your ironing board and get going, ironing is now soooo easy wish I’d bought this years ago.
My wife has used many steam before but says that this one is, without doubt, her favourite. The iron has two rigid handles which make it very easy to carry and the storage on the unit for both cables is quite unique and safe. Great value for money.
This is a very good iron , but on pressing steam button it seems to delay the bursts of steam , sometimes until I put the iron back on the rest place , otherwise it irons well
Fabulously easy to use, the steam is generated after only a few seconds. The iron glides over fabrics, and it takes only seconds to iron a top/shirt. Reccomend this iron, it’s brilliant.
Really like this iron. It’s lightweight, heats up quickly and the water hasn’t run out yet, despite getting through 2 full baskets of ironing yesterday. Takes a bit of getting used to when to push and release the steam button, takes a second or two before the steam comes through but irons really when you get the hang of it. Also a great price on Amazon.
Great performance, my only criticism is the blue light down the front is not good. When moving the iron around the light is like a strobe and made me nauseous. I had to put a sticky label over it. My fear is it causes a seizure in epileptic users. Don’t know why it needs this long blue light right down the front, I have emailed Russell Hobbs directly to express my concerns.
Can’t say much haven’t used it

I found this Steam Generator A BETTER PRODUCT THAN THE ONE FROM Morphy Richards.
My only Criticism is Can not fully empty the Water reservoir.
Even so, would recommend this ant time.
Having used conventional steam irons for years which always end up sticking to certain fabrics, I switched to this one. It is incredibly easy to use and is lightweight which is useful for people who cannot manage heavier models. This is the best iron I have ever owned.
The steam it produces is more than enough for standard household ironing. Some of the reviews have said about the time lag in the steam button being pressed and the steam coming out. There is a lag but it does work and you get used to it.
For the price, it represents great value.

Positives, heats up really quickly, easy to fill and empty and nice weight.
Negatives for me are the blue light on the iron is very annoying it has the same effect on your eyes as ironing a stripey top.
Also steam doesn’t stop for a while after releasing the steam button.
I would have given full marks but for these couple of niggles.
I have had many steam irons in the past but this one is great. It’s very light weight and doesn’t take long to heat up. The base holds a lot of water so you don’t have to fill up as often. I like that you can secure the pug to the base and also has a place to coil up the iron lead.
The only negative is that the iron doesn’t secure to the base, it doesn’t bother me but may to others.
Would definitely recommend
Haven’t used the iron too much but I have noticed it is so much quieter than my last steam generator iron.
bought this as my other generator iron died. this is great get lots of steam so much easier to iron your clothes i suffer RA so my hands are weak but with this its ok well worth the money
This replaced another RH generator iron we had, seems to work well, takes a bit of getting used to the delayed steam on and off when using the trigger but no complaints, nice smooth base plate makes the ironing easie
The first one I recieved leaked water but I spoke to amazon and another was sent the next day.
I’m very happy with it, no problems. It has been very easy to use. I would definitely recommend.
So far it has proven to be the best iron to use from a point of constant steam when necessary and makes ironing much easier with no water spillage.
What can one say about this steam generator iron bought to replace another steam generator
iron when broke. lightweight and easy to use but its annoying to have a rat tat sound when generator passes water to iron. Previous one didn’t make that noise.
The biggest adjustment to get used to was the heat and steam setting compared to my previous steam iron which I kept on the same setting for everything. Do need to keep on slow setting for non-cotton clothes otherwise is starts to stick and drag.
On the plus side, is ready to use quickly, very light, doesn’t use much water and seems not had any complaints with my ironing!

After dropping my iron and breaking the sole plate I was in need of a new one . After reading the reviews I chose is one . I’ve had steam generator irons in the past but I have to say this is my favourite . Light weight quick to heat up and hot enough to iron with out steam but a good amount of steam when needed. It was half the price of my last one and the overall performance in my opinion is much better . Glad my old one hit the deck now

For the price, you get a great iron with strong steam capability. I love the limescale collector as this usually clogs my irons up but with the Russell Hobbs you can just remove from an insert. Irons my clothes well. I recommend this iron for everyday items.
a good iron it does what i want or now
Obviously not as good as dearer ones in that not much detail on the controls but as I just wanted a straight forward iron this hits the spot perfectly. Plus it didn’t cost silly money.

I got this iron today and I honestly could not wait to write this! I love to iron, no shame, and this iron is super light weight but amazing! I previously had a Tefal similar one and it was so heavy I don’t know why I’ve not swapped sooner! Limescale filter and a second filter with removable water tank, easy storage and a plug space. Highly recommend!
I bought this to replace a really expensive one I’d had for years. I didn’t want to spend as much money this time and I actually prefer this one. It heats up quickly, very lightweight and easy to use and I love the way you can tidy the plug etc away
This is the best iron I have ever owned! Irons all clothes easily and quickly. Steady stream of steam at all temperatures. It is very lightweight which is great if you have to iron a lot of items or you have problems with arthritis etc. The water tank is easy to fill and lasts ages. This iron makes ironing an actual pleasure rather than a chore.
For a fair and balanced review my only negatives are that the rubber clips that hold the iron in place when not in use could be tighter, the iron easily becomes loose when knocked, the steam isn’t instantaneous and you have to wait 1 second every time you push the steam button. However in fairness to Russell Hobbs, would I pay another 100+ to achieve a instantaneous steam output? Absolutely not as in my opinion! In all honestly each item takes 30 seconds to iron anyway!

I was undecided if I should get another steam generator, I had one years ago that cost a fortune but then had an ordinary iron for the last few years! Wow am I glad I decided on this one, it hasn’t yet had the test of time but irons brilliantly and for the cost is unbelievable!
Better than my last one, easy to fill and the water trough lasts a good while, iron gets hot so easy to iron clothes, packing away is easy so it stores neatly, the cable length is good and the hose length perfect for us. Nice iron, would buy agai
I’ve had a few different brands of this type of iron. This is by far the best. However saw it in a shop much cheaper.
Overall the product is good and very good value for money. There is a short delay from pressing the steam button and receiving the steam and there is overrun for quite a few seconds on the steam emissions after releasing the button which means it is ejecting steam after you have returned the iron to it’s seat on the tank. Other than that my only gripe is the stupid sticky label on the side of the tank which leaves sticky residue on your new iron when it is peeled off. Why not use a vinyl tape label? Small thing but annoying none the less.
I have used steam generator irons for years and have often paid much more than I did for this. My old one broke during lockdown and I needed a new replacement.

Presses well and heats up fairly rapidly. I love the fact you can turn it on or off at the base and not just at the plug. It’s sturdy and well made.

I used to HATE ironing until I got this. After two colleagues recommended this at work, I decided to buy it. I was sceptical at first, but as soon as I used it I was surprised how mu h easier it makes ironing.
I actually enjoy ironing now as it makes everything easy and quick to iron, and it all looks very smart and crease-free. It heats up quickly and produced lots of steam.
Love that you can fill the tank up and it lasts for ages, haven’t ran out of water yet. I use filtered water in it to avoid having to descale it.

This iron coupled with a wider ironing board has halved the time it takes for me to iron the many sheets I need to iron as part of my work. As the water reservoir holds more water I do not have to keep adding water. There is a lot more steam so it’s more effective. The iron is a lot lighter so less likely to give repetitive strain injuries. Ironing used to be my least favourite job, but unbelievably I don’t mind it now. Love it!
You have to wait a bit for the steam when you press steam button but works fine . It is good for the money

Makes ironing easier definitely. It’s easy to turn on, adjust steam and temperature, no fiddly stuff. The cord clip and plug storage make for good useful features, and the handles make carrying easy although it’s not heavy anyway. The water tank holds plenty of water, is easy to fill, and just pulls out. The only reason for the 4 stars is the base unit gets really hot when in use, not something I had with my other iron. All in all I’d recommend this iron.
