I already had a leaf blower but actually with so many leaves blowing them is not enough so purchased this, and it’s very good.

Brushless so you’ll know it’ll last a long time all being well.

It’s a little stiff when you try to put it together but once sorted you’ll appreciate the effort.

Very powerful, and the extra temporary power button is great for some slightly heavier items, twigs etc.

I used a 4ah battery and it lasted about 20 minutes so plenty of juice to get done what you need to do.

I was sceptical that a battery powered leaf sucker/blower would be powerful enough for my medium sized garden, but as long as you don’t try to sick up too much at once this thing is really really good.

Picks up dry leaves very well with plenty of suction
Not good on large accumulations of wet leaves since it clogs and is a nuisance to disassemble and clear
Individual and small accumulations of wet leaves OK
Useful if used regularly to keep paths etc clear
I find the zip bag a bit awkward and would prefer and easier clip on/off system for this since emptying whilst attached to unit is not that easy

This blower-vac works well and is light enough to use without the shoulder strap. However it was very difficult to assemble.. instructions could be clearer almost gave up and was prepared to return it.. persisted and got there eventually!

Whilst the goods appear to be ok after initial trial I wish to complain at the fact that the delivery – man merely left the items on our doorstep without advising us !!>??XX!! My wife and I were at home and our doorbell was in working order as our neighbour used it to inform us that the goods were outside !!! ??||ZZXX11

As with all One+ tools it’s very convenient to have an interchangeable power system. It was easy to assemble, but some parts needed a bit brute force to join up. Operation was straight forward. The only down side was the mouth of the feed pipe. It was too large to reach under or behind bushes. This means having to blow the leaves out and chase them around the garden. An extra attachment, like you get on vacuum cleaners would be helpful.

A bit disappointing plenty of power but when it blocks it’s a complete pain in the A**** shreddings need to drop straight down into the debris bag

This is my 4th One Plus Ryobi tool. I already had the cordless drill, hedge trimmer and lawn strimmer.
The garden vacuum/ blower is a well made tool like the other tools in the range. I bought the bare unit without the battery and charger. I already have two 4ah batteries and a charger.
I’m very pleased with the tool. It does what it says on the box and vacuums up leaves, mulching them up into the attached bag. I’ve made do with a corded garden vacuum for a few years now and this cordless Ryobi version knocks spots off my old one. So much lighter to use without losing power.
I would recommend this tool to gardeners.

I have only used it twice and it has worked well. Both blowing and suction was adequate for my small garden. It would probably have problems with a larger one. After clearing the front of leaves, there was still a bit more power left on the battery

I went into this purchase expecting disappointment and was left surprised – it’s pretty good.
I already own a petrol vac/blower which I used exclusively in vacuum mode and the Ryobi has only half the suction power of that and you don’t want to go near wet leaves with the Ryobi, however, the 18V battery vac is half the weight, half the noise and odourless. The plus side to the lower vacuum strength than the petrol is you don’t end up vacuuming pebbles, garden ornaments, bulbs and kicking up a dust storm.
If you leave off the wheels you can get a fantastic sweeping motion going across lawns and the supplied strap is a blessing when the bag fills.
I also own the 18V jet blower and the vac-blower’s output is somewhere between that and the standard old Ryobi leafblower, not hurricane power but a controlled blade of air you’ll soon get the hang of.
Do yourself a favour and get the 9Ah battery – 160 GBP/188 EUR free delivery from Ryobi. Amazon/eBay don’t have them at present.

Well I’m not sure what the negatives are really. Not too bad with noise level considering the suction power. Its cleaned my garden up in around 10-15 minutes. The leaves and small twigs are now dust. Was easy enough to assemble, 5 mins tops. Bag was a bit more fiddly. Didnt need the manual. I have a lot of Ryobi stuff and used a 5Amp battery but didnt even take it down in 15 minutes by one bar. Job done. Mind you I’m not sucking up wet oak or chestnut leaves bigger than the pipe so I dont know full performance. But for those I’d probably blow not suck to a pile and pick up. Technique is everything. Didnt scare the dogs or neighbours. Didnt find it heavy until full but thats the leaves weight Im sure. Cant change physics !!

Liked the weight but the changeover leaver between suck & blow gets stiff & Clogged at the slightest damp leaves.
    Liked the product overall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis item arrived slightly damaged, but the Amazon Technical team offered a substantial discount on the price. So I was very satisfied with the offer made.
This is a very strong garden vac… it was able to easily clear my lawn of fallen leaves etc within just a few minutes of using. It mulches the leaves as it suck them up, meaning you can easily and quickly empty the bag directly onto the compost heap!
The adjustable shoulder strap and little wheels underneath take up the weight of the unit, so you just need to push it in the direction you want to go. I have used this with a 4AH battery and it lasted for the whole gardening session!
    I highly recommend this product.

It took me ages to figure this out. As you apply the bag you must engage the lip as shown on the wide shot above. (seen on the second closer pic) Then you pull it back to engage the final grey clip seen at the back of the bag. It’s a very tight fit but it does work.

How to get the Vac bag onto the blower-vac

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersSome of the other reviews here say this thing sucks. Or rather, it doesn’t. But I had no trouble with the suction at all, it even coped well with wet leaves.

Having said that, it isn’t great with wet leaves because they end up in a shredded mass around the edge of the fan/cutter mechanism, which I found heading cleaning each time I emptied the bag.

It’s also quite heavy – not like a main/petrol garden vac, but still quite a weight, especially when the bag is full.

But the main thing is that it works, and it works pretty well. Better than I was expecting, in fact.

Better than another brand in that you can access the cutting fan if it gets clogged. Powerful enough for me as by the time the battery has run out I have had enough anyway. Good suction without being so strong is sucks up earth!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersHab den Laubsauger heute zum ersten mal ausprobiert und habe gute und nicht so gute Erkenntnisse gesammelt.
    Positiv:
    – Top-Verarbeitung
    – Einfach zu montieren
    – Akku (5 Ah) reicht sehr (!) lange

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave a medium sized garden but there are several mature trees nearby. Found that it really lacks power to handle more than a light scattering of dry leaves. The battery lasts 10-12 minutes then will take 3-4 hours to recharge (with the largest battery pack and rapid charger). Another issue is that wet leaves or small twigs will easily clog up the Vac and it is quite tricky to disassemble to clear blockages. I can’t compare it to other machines on the market, my guess is that it is perfectly adequate for light use, but not up to handling the debris from mature trees.
