If you have a really muddy drive way this would be really useful, otherwise the most I’ve used this for is to clear snow from pathway outside of the house.
We have used this brush to clean our deck which has grooved wood slat panels. We get a lot of slim and moss in those groves which makes the deck slippy. This brush cleans it very well. We highly recommend it.
Used once it’s not bad but still requires more effort to weed any patio and if you hit heavy weeds with it the rubber guard folds in the wrong way so for the money it’s only about fai

Easy to assemble and use, did exactly what it was intended to do with great results. I would suggest ordering a spare wire brush as they do wear away with use.

My husband seems to enjoy using this as it works well fulfilling the purpose for which it was intended.
Did a really good job on my patio, even with my 18 year old batteries I got a good 25mins out of each battery and very little wear on the wire brush, I can now keep my patio slabs clear of weeds with regular cleaning and little effort.

So far it has made a good job of it.
Certainly easier than scrubbing, but found it surprisingly heavy and hard on batteries. You really need one of the more powerful batteries rather than the smaller ones that come with the drills etc.
We have over 300 x 24″ slabs throughout our garden, inherited from the previous owner. There are gaps everywhere. Small cracks attract weeds and the time spend weeding, repairing pointing, weed killing etc was getting ridiculous.
Strim any high weeds then use this INCREDIBLE tool!
Very quiet when running, the wire brush removes weeds in no time! So light to use, even the laziest gardener could use it.
Friends calling round? Patio looking a touch weedy? No trouble at all! So effective, really wonderful results.
BEWARE though as the metal brush may leave marks on your stone, so do test it first, but it’s much more effective than power-washing.
Soft brush the weed debris after you are done and voila! Job done!
No more back-breaking, knee punishing work, this tool is immense.
Price? How many hours on your knees is this worth? How much did you spend on weedkiller? Weigh it up, but if you want a tool that absolutely does what it says it will, is virtually effortless to use, then look no further.

Meine Terrasse war vermoost und bei Regen dadurch eisglatt. Da ich mit meinen anderen Ryobi Gerten durchaus zufrieden bin, habe ich den Patio Cleaner bestellt und direkt am nchsten Tag ausprobiert. Das Teil war schnell zusammen gebaut, auch ohne lange die Anleitung zu lesen und ruck zuck war das Moos weg und die Dielen sind wieder sorglos begehbar. Empfehlung.
This is fantastic at what it does. I have tried sprays. Hoes. Gas burner. Salt. For years to remove weeds/grass/moss between patio flags and block paving. THIS DOES AN AMAZING JOB and very simple to use. Downside is battery takes hours to charge up and only lasts 10 mins….. so recharging all through day and popping out to do 10 mins work each time. Drains battery very quickly.
My scepticism vanished 5 seconds after using this great machine !
It easily brushes away all but the most stubborn or large weeds between the brick or concrete paving slabs.

It really made my task a lot easier to complete even though I had to go and buy a new 5ah battery as the 1.5ah battery does not cut it before running out. If you but gat a 5ah battery which will give you about 60 mins use on heavy growth.

Just used my new toy, sorry tool, must remember these are tools, after looking at some of the reviews, some not so positive, I thought I would take a plunge and give the power brush a go, well I am definitely glad I did, I used it on my artificial lawn which was looking a bit sad for itself, it brought it back to life and underfoot feels thicker as it did when I first laid it, even the dog loves it, will be trying it out on my decking come the spring
Ok, for what it is it’s pretty expensive, but if you love a moss free,clean looking block paved driveway and you can’t be bothered manually scrubbing the moss and weeds out, you need this.

This has to be one of the best Ryobi One+ tools that I own. And I have plenty of them.
Needed something to clean my decking that all the previous decking paint had flaked on but didn’t want to sand it down.
So I bought this and so glad I did. Just a bit of water and this tool took my decking back to the bare wood. Which means I can now spray it for the winter.
I can honestly say I would recommend this to anyone who wants to bring their old decking back to life without the hard work.
This will change your decking cleaning forever.
Clears my drive and patio in record time, without breaking my back or leaving me with sore knees. A quick brush afterwards removes all the debris left behind. Wire brush is hard wearing, and having been used twice so far, shows very little sign of wear.

Scrubs well and easy to change brushes. Wire brush available separately is good for removing weeds. Makes it quite versatile being able to change the brushes. Soft brush good for brushing silica sand into turf.
Cant Fault this patio cleaner. Takes the effort out of scrubbing I would only recommend using with a wet surface this enhances the cleaning power.

Nice bit of kit, saves having to get down and dirty with the pressure washer. Very quick and easy to nip out and do a section. Batteries last well and charging is very quick. Spare brushes easily available from Ryobi.

The downside is that a standard 2.0ah battery lasts only about 10 minutes – if that- of continuous work meaning longs gaps to recharge. I already had 2 x 2.0ah batteries, fully charged, and had to wait around two hour between charges. As time was of the essence to clean the patio I bought a 4.0ah battery with charger to ensure I could complete the job as quickly as possible.
The additional battery pushes up the invested cost considerably so, unless you have a very small area too clean, factor in the extra battery of a minimum 4.0ah – unless you are prepared for a very long, leisurely cleaning session spread over a day or two.

An excellent product it cleans the moss and weeds from between patio blocks easily without having to bend over.

It can run away from you till you get used to it but generally after that it is pretty good. I have ordered the stiffer brush as it struggled to shift some really dried on stuff but once patio was cleared (it had been neglected) it is certainly easier than a brush. Only drawback you still need a brush and shovel to remove the detrius brushed up would be brilliant with vacuum cleaner attached

Just be aware it does like to drink the battery, I had to use to fully charged 2.0ah 18v battery packs to cover the amount of grass in the photos, which was no real problem so long as both of fully charged before use.
Thought this may be a little excessive before I bought it but I’m so glad I did now!
As you can see from the photo our patio is not the smallest, nor the largest but being small block paving there are a lot of crevices to clean. Unfortunately the weeds had been left to grow too long. Strimming the weeds first helped a lot as they can just become tangled up in the brush.
The battery supplied with this only lasts up to 30 minutes. I had to recharge 5 times but the great thing is the battery does only take an hour to recharge. You may therefore be better if you have an area like this buying one of the longer lasting batteries (check out Ryobi website).
As for the product itself, it worked brilliantly once I realised strimming the top of the weeds off first would help.
Be sure to do a spot check with the brush, the metal one scratched the paving so I ordered the nylon type which worked well although I did have to change the brush half way through as it wore down (to be expected).
You may think the product is expensive but it saved hours of bending over and scraping the gaps so for us it was well worth the outlay, our time is valuable and we’d rather spend it sitting in the garden enjoying the scenery. The weeds will never be left to grow so long again!!
Works great i spend many back breaking hours manually removing moss and weeds last year. Now it’s a lot easier. However would recommend getting lots of extra wire wheels if you have large patio. Garbage ground up needs brushed or hosed.
It worked well and was used during a dry couple of days, followed by the use of a Bosch wet/dry vacuum to gather the debris. I re-sanded, then used a suitable weed killer…….
Very well made, good balance and does the job excellently, best tool to do that task, and I have tried mains powered and manual one but this outshines them all.

Well made, solid toll, easy to use. saves hours of labour and aching arms.
Works well, saves a lot of effort cleaning in-between patio slabs. Not as messy or as harsh as the jet wash. Update very pleased with the results, having used it in anger for the first time so easy to remove moss from between paving slabs, highly recommended.

This is great for a quick tidy of the slabs, easy to use, as are most of their products. I would recommend this but it will not kill the weeds
Great for cleaning the space between mono blocks. If it’s a large area a back up battery is required, however if like me you invest in the Ryobi System for other tools, you will likely have spare batteries.
Quite good unit. Removes all material between bricks. Suggesr wear goggles as stuff thrown at you. Suggest you also buy another brush as original will get worn down.

Got a sizable patio and block paved drive that have been a bit neglected. This tool is basically an angle grinder or drill on a stick with a wire brush attached.
The brush is quite wide in comparison to the gap between slabs so don’t expect this to penetrate very deeply into the cracks, however it does work very effectively clearing organic matter which has built up in the grooves created by shamfered bricks.
Cleared most weeds although left a few tough grass roots which I then dug out by hand, didn’t appear to damage blocks or concrete slabs at all.
Reviews for similar products recommend using weed killer a few days prior to using a tool like this which is probably good sense.
Wasn’t too brutal on the battery and operation was very quick.
Only slight gripe is that I’m 6′ with fairly long arms and it was that touch too short for me so I was still leaning forward more than I’d like, if I had to do a very large area in one go then it would become uncomfortable holding the required position. But compared to clearing these things with a manual tool, any back ache is minimal. Sure this thing will get used for the annual sweep and clean going forward.
