I needed a mic that was more compact but surprised how good this design is, with the sound dampening built on the inside and out of the way. And this has a control for audio levels and filtering plus a headphone monitoring jack.
It’s very sturdy and very responsive, but also excellent in going into standby when the phone or camera is off, but quick to arm itself once power is restored. The best design ever for a shotgun mic in its price range.

I shoot and edit on my mobile phone — I use an iPhone XR and iPhone 12ProMax.
I have a Sennheiser MKE200 which is a great mic — not fuss, plug and play and I’ve never had a problem with it.
Great sound too… however, with the pandemic pushing me a little further away from my subject I was really pleased to hear about the MKE400 and got one immediately to take advantage of that extra reach.
I’m really happy with it. It’s exactly what I expected, an MKE200 but with extra reach. The same no fuss connectivity — DSLR and mobile compatible cables in the box (clearly marked) and a dead cat which in my MKE200 review I found to be of excellent quality. Beware the mic requires batteries — supplied — but you’ll want to carry spares. Although so far I’ve used it for more than two days straight on a few jobs and I haven’t yet had to swap the batteries.
The big, big bonus is that (unlike the MKE200) is that I can also monitor sound directly from the mic. Peace of mind!
As with MKE200 my only niggle (and reason for 4 stars on value) is the plastic cold shoe fitting — although to be fair I on price I don’t have a like for like comparison and therefore the plastic fittings may be reflected in the price of the mic.
If you’re mounting the mic using the tripod mount then no problem, but the cold shoe mount is really hard to get tight enough and then to release afterwards — hacks for this would be appreciated. I find metal fixtures are best for this purpose.
The Mic also has gain settings mounted on the mic itself — so far I’ve found low is too low and high is too noisy… maybe in some circumstances this might be useful but so far I’ve left it in the mid position.
In short this is my all rounder. There are a couple of other mics I may use in certain situations but for on the go, no messing, great sound and this is my go to — without hesitation. And where I’ve recommended the MKE200 in the past (and still would for under 100 value) I would now point people to the MKE400 for that extra reach… you can take it away but you can’t add it in afterwards. Highly recommended.

il microfono ha una buona qualit ed il fatto che sia autoalimentato lo rende ancora pi interessante. ha solo un difetto…non essendo ammortizzato, si percepisce anche il minimo rumore, che possa essere il barilotto dell’ottica oppure quando ti muovi con le mani sulla macchina. Ma se si fa attenzione a questi dettagli, pu risultare comunque accettabile come resa. Io lo consiglierei come microfono da usare su un secono corpo macchina.
Rich, warm desktop sound
Phone microphones are terrible, face it. Not only are they not directional, but sometimes when recording the first few seconds of audio are low as your phone works out how much noise reduction to apply. That’s useless if you’re presenting to camera and can’t meter your audio
Given the cost of picking up parts separately it’s actually great value for money and I don’t understand why they didn’t highlight the addition of a Manfrotto product thrown in more evident on the box.
While most of my mics are by Rode, Sennheiser are providing decent competition as a top mic here. While I may not always use my phone as a recording device, the access to spare parts in this box is very handy indeed.
Here’s what I like:
The pickup is nice and rich. Your voice will sound deep and full.
Additions of SRS and SRRS cables mean you’re set up whether using a DSLR or smartphone. They also screw into the mic to avoid accidentally slipping out.
The mic also powers on and off automatically when a connection is detected.
The Manfrotto Pixi is a great desktop tripod to have thrown in. Its thread will work with all DSLR so you can mount that instead of the clamp if you wish.
The clamp build is as good as the tripod, with additional threads on each side, meaning you can rig existing parts to it from your film kit, up to about 2.5kg load.
Here’s its drawbacks:
The mic isn’t isolated from its base. If you adjust the low cut or sensitivity while recording, those clicks will pick up, and vibrations will pick up if the table shakes.
Its powered off disposable batteries! So get some rechargeable batteries if you can, or add to landfill.
All the parts are here at a good price and great for raiding for spare parts when necessary.
Es geht um das MKE440.
Warum dieses Mikrofon?
Bei Video-Aufnahmen im Freien von Objekten in grerer Entfernung braucht man Mikrofone mit Richtwirkung, weil man sonst nur das Gebrabbel der Passanten in der Nhe hrt, aber nicht das Flugzeug, oder den Vogel, u.s.w. den die Kamera aufnimmt.
Aus dem gleichen Grund reicht die Richtwirkung eines Mikrofons mit nierenfrmiger Charakteristik auch nicht mehr. Daher nehmen die meisten Leien einfach eines der vielen Richtrohr-Mikrofone, die es wie Sand am Meer gibt. Nur hat das den Nachteil, dass es dann keine Stereo-Aufnahme mehr ist! Fr Sprachsignale wre das vllig ausreichend, weil es ja nur auf die Sprachverstndlichkeit ankommt. Fr alles andere ist das miserabel! (Mono-Aufnahmen sind 50er-Jahre Niveau!)
Also suchte ich nach einem kompakten Stereo-Richtrohr-Mikrofon! Fehlanzeige. Bis ich zufllig auf das Sennheiser Stereo-Richtrohr-Mikrofon MKE440 stie. Das war das einzige.
Zuerst die Nachteile:
1) Klinkenstecker zu dick:
Leider lsst sich der Klinkenstecker nicht mehr vollstndig in die Buchse der Kamera SONY A7SII einschieben, wenn die Kabelhalterung an die Kamera montiert ist! Der Griff des Klinkensteckers hat vorne einen etwas zu groen Durchmesser, so dass er nicht durch das Loch in der Kabelhalterung durchpasst. Das wurde von SENNHEISER wohl nicht zu Ende gedacht! Ja das ist eine Kleinigkeit, aber trotzdem.
Abhilfe: Bitte keinesfalls die Kabelhalterung einfach weglassen! Ganz schlechte Idee!
Sondern: Entweder man schneidet den Klinken-Stecker des Mikrofons ab, und montiert ein Exemplar mit kleinerem Griffdurchmesser, oder man schleift am vorhandenen Klinken-Stecker den Kunststoff am Griffteil auf einer Lnge von 1,5mm etwas ab… Ein Stern Abzug!
2) Strsignale:
An der Kamera SONY A7SII gibt das MKE440 bei Einstellung auf das grte bertragungsma ein ganz, ganz leises Strsignal ab, im linken Kanal mehr als im rechten Kanal. Es ist eine Art Pfeifen. Es ist allerdings nur bei erhhtem Rec Level an der SONY A7SII berhaupt wahrnehmbar, und daher eigentlich irrelevant. (Die kamerainternen Mikrofone der SONY A7SII geben keinerlei Strsignale ab.) Kein Sternchenabzug.
3) Untere Grenzfrequenz
Die untere Grenzfrequenz liegt leider ziemlich hoch; allerdings ist das physikalisch bedingt, also fr Richtrohr-Mikrofone normal. Damit muss man leben. Kein Sternchenabzug.
4) Frequenzabhngigkeit der Richtcharakteristik
Die Lnge der Richtrohre ist ungewhnlich klein. Das bedeutet, dass die keulenfrmige Riechtcharakteristik nur bei sehr hohen Frequenzen wirksam ist. Schon bei mittleren Frequenzen ist sie eher nierenfrmig. Aber das ist physikalisch bedingt. Damit muss man eben leben, wenn das Mikrofon kompakt sein soll… (andernfalls msste man eben zwei einzelne, lange Richtrohr-Mikrofone anschlieen!) Kein Sternchenabzug.
Positives:
Die Richtcharakteristik und der Mikrofonwinkel passen sehr gut zusammen. Gute “Fernwirkung” und ein interessantes Stereo-Erlebnis.
Rauschen:
Der Rauschabstand des MKE440 erreicht nicht den von professionellen Richtrohrmikrofonen, ist aber immerhin sehr gut.
Das Gesamtrauschen des MKE440 an der SONY A7SII ist an sonsten wirklich sehr gut, noch etwas besser als von den kamerainternen Mikrofonen, wenn man das MKE440 auf die grte Empfindlichkeit einstellt. So gesehen lohnt sich der Kaufpreis des MKE 440.
Empfehlung:
1. Wenn man das MKE440 auf das grte bertragungsma einstellt:
Dann ist der Gesamtrauschabstand am besten, und auch absolut gesehen sehr gut!
Fr sehr kleine Schalldruckpegel. (Lautenmusik)
2. Wenn man das MKE440 auf das mittlere bertragungsma einstellt:
Dann ist der Gesamtrauschabstand fast genau so gut. (Nur im direkten Vergleich merkt man
berhaupt einen Unterschied zu 1.)
Fr kleine bis sehr hohe Schalldruckpegel. Bevorzugte Einstellung fr die Verwendung an
der SONY A7SII.
3. Wenn man das MKE440 auf das kleinste bertragungsma einstellt:
Achtung, dann ist der Gesamtrauschabstand miserabel !!! Gar nicht verwenden! (allenfalls bei
ganz schlechten Mikrofon-Eingngen, die bei sehr hohen Schalldrcken bersteuern wrden, weil
deren Verstrkung nicht weit genug reduziert werden kann, )
Der dazu passenden Fellwindschutz MZH440 ist nicht ganz billig, wirkt aber gut. Man sollte ihn im Freien immer verwenden. Man kann ihn leicht aufziehen, und auch wieder entfernen. Die Schiebeschalter am Mikrofon kann man immer noch bedienen, wenn man den Fellwindschutz an den Schaltern etwas nach oben schiebt, bis man sie eingestellt hat. Allerdings verdeckt der Fellwindschutz das On”-Lmpche. Na gut, damit kann ich leben. (Man sieht ja an der Pegelanzeige der Kamera, wenn vergessen wurde, das Mikrofon einzuschalten.
Fazit:
Abgesehen vom Klinkenstecker stellt das MKH440 ein kompaktes, durchkonstruiertes Stereo-Richtrohr-Mikrofon mit guten Eigenschaften dar, sehr rauscharm, klangneutral, mit guter Richt-Charakteristik (soweit es die kompakten Abmessungen physikalisch eben zulassen), anpassbar an die Verstrkung des Vorverstrkers in der Kamera, und mit guter Windgeruschunterdrckung (mit MZH440).
4 Sternchen!
Ich wrde es wieder kaufen.
Zur Zuverlssigkeit und Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen. Falls es etwas Negatives geben sollte, gibt’s ein Update.
Seit Corona streamen wir regelmig Gottesdienste.
Dazu hatte ich bisher Hardware der Kirchengemeinde genutzt.
Nach dem nun weitere Streamer dazu gekommen sind, habe ich mich fr persnlicher Hardware entschieden.
Zum Einsatz kommt ein iPad 11Pro.
Daran befindet sich ein USB-C zu Klinke Adapter von Apple.
Mittels Rode SC1 Verlngerung wird das MK200 mit dem TRRS-Kabel verbunden.

Die Qualitt ist, fr mein ungeschultes Ohr, echt genial.
Auch der Smartphonehalter und das Stativ sind genial.

Gutes Zubehör, super sound
Anders als gedacht gehrt zum Zubehr ein Adapterkabel, das direkt in die Kamera oder in meinem Fall in eine Funkstrecke geht. Dazu gibt es noch einen Mount fr den Blitzschuh. Dieser lsst sich jedoch nicht im Winkel verstellen, weshalb ich mir noch einen weiteren Mount gekauft habe. Die Audioqualitt ist dabei fr den Preis erste Sahne.

It’s really great. I used it to record a piano recital.
There was no background noise or distortion; only pure music with a great sound.

I like the illuminated power switch because it shows the battery status.
I like to use the cold shoe camera mount to attach the MKE440.
This lets me get great sound with minimal effort.
I just bought another copy of this mic after having owned one for over 10 years. It is perfect for on camera documentary sound if you camera has a decent sound interface, like a cine camera.
When it arrived I put the two mics (one from 2010, one from 2021) side by side and thought I got a fake! It turns out Sennheiser has changed their logo to a more standard type face and slightly altered the stylized “S” shape and I thought for sure it was an imported knock off.
It doesn’t help that the included literature still has the old version of the logo. It also doesn’t say “Made in Germany” under the logo on the mic anymore.
Ottimo microfono
Microfono molto leggero, compatto e senza parti mobili facilmente soggette a rotture se trasportate in zaini.
Ha un audio molto piatto ma molto definito. Quindi se volete un audio caldo gi subito, non il microfono per voi. Ma con delle regolazioni nell’EQ in post editing, riuscite a tirare fuori un audio molto molto buono in rapporto a prezzo e volume di esso stesso.
L’ho preso per iniziare a fare vlogging, ma se poi mi far prendere la mano, passer senza ombra di dubbio al fratello maggiore MKE400 che costa piu del doppio.
Tolles, rauscharmes Mikrofo
Das Sennheiser MKE 200 macht soweit einen sehr guten und robusten Eindruck, auch wirkt es nicht zu klobig und kommt gar mit einer DeadCat daher, welche Windgerusche sehr gut ausfiltert..
Da dieses Mikrofon zustzlich auch auf Handys ausgelegt, vermisse ich leider etwas an Equipment. So gibt es keine Klemme, um das Mikrofon am Handy zu befestigen und wir haben einen extra Handy Klinkenstecker.
Der Klinkenstecker bringt nur nicht soviel, da aktuellere Handys leider mehr und mehr auf einen solchen Anschluss verzichten, von daher wre ein USB-C Stecker noch nett gewesen.
Klanglich macht das Mikrofon auch einen sehr guten Eindruck, wenn ich mir auch einen etwas satteren und wrmeren Klang gewnscht htte. Der Klang ist eher natlich und neutral gehalten. Dafr klar und rauscharm.
Spricht man direkt ins Mikrofon, klingt es wirklich sehr gut.
Steht man dagegen etwas weiter weg, empfindet man den Ton schnell als einen Tick zu leise.
Ich pershnlich besitze ein aktuelles Handy aus dem Hause Samsung und muss sagen, dass der Ton ber das Mikro schon einen Tick besser klingt, vor allem draussen, mit entsprechender DeadCat bergestlpt. Generell aber ist der Unterschied dann doch nicht so gravierend besser ist, wie anfnglich erhofft, vor allem auch vom Klangbild her.

Professional microphone that you can carry around.
I have a couple of couple of Yeti microphones at home one mounted on an arm and one on the desk. They pick up every sound and they make good recordings but they aren’t portable for doing vlogs attached to your laptop or phone. This microphone is and it has all of the accessories to make attaching it to either your phone or sound compatible SLR simple.
You never get decent sound from a camera or phone microphone and you always needs to have a dedicated microphone for decent sound recordings. This is directional and even comes with a fluffy cover to reduce wind noise – I am reminded of a tribble. I have Sennheiser headphones and it is a make that I trust with good quality components and performance. This is not cheap but you get what you pay for and this gives a professional result.

Das Sennheiser MKE 440 — professionelles Stereo-Richtmikrofon wurde fr Videoaufnahmen auf meiner Canon EOS 5D Mark IV gekauft. Gleich beim ersten Test, Videoaufnahme meiner Tochter mit Gitarre und Gesang, konnte mich der reine und klare Klang komplett berzeugen. Auch beim Abspielen ber meine Stereoanlage berzeugte mich das Mikrophon total. Es gab keine Nebengerusche oder Verzerrungen; nur Musik pur mit einem tollen Klang. Bei den von mir verwendeten Objektiv wurden keine Gerusche vom verndern der Scharfstellung der Optik aufgenommen. (Canon Zoomobjektiv EF 24-70mm F2.8L II USM fr EOS) Wie sich das Mikrofon bei anderen Optiken verhlt kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Laut Beschreibung von Sennheiser werden solche Gerusche unterdrckt.
Fr Aufnahmen im Freien wurde von mir der original Windschutz Sennheiser MZH 440 angeschafft.

An impressive piece of kit this; the microphone and components — adjustable smartphone clamp and folding mini-tripod – are all metal construction, sturdy and of good build-quality.
Designed for use with either smartphone or camera, it comes with two 3.5 mm coiled cables, furry windshield and soft drawstring carry-pouch. 2 AA batteries are included.
The mic has an earphone socket so it can be adjusted for sound level and there’s a well laid-out quick-start leaflet which makes it straightforward to set-up out of the box. A separate manual shows how to assemble the tripod and phone clamp.
I’m most likely to use this with my camera rather than a phone and it has a universal cold shoe attachment for that purpose.
I have no experience of using microphones of this type before, so I’m possibly not best qualified to assess this on a professional level, but it functioned very well in the limited tests I made with it, capturing sound without distortion; I got it to try and record painting demonstrations in my studio and if those are successful, possibly use it for location work.
It’s certainly a very practical and functional item; I can’t comment on price as there’s none stated at the time of writing this, but I’m well pleased with it; Sennheiser are a recognised manufacturer of audio products so I`m confident that this is pretty reliable unit — an excellent addition to my working camera kit.

I’ve tried it with a Canon 550D and it certainly reduces the wind noise, a plus here is that it’s pretty light and does not make the camera any harder to handle. I’m trying to sort out a lead so I can try it with a 20D and a Sony RX100 which is my goto camera.
Unfortunately, because my smartphones are all iPhones (from 7 to 12 pro) I haven’t been able to try whether or not it is as effective on that format or not. A friend has offered to lend me a Cat41 Android phone and another has offered the latest Galaxy Pro. If they appear, due to Covid restrictions this is somewhat of an issue :-), and can be used I will update this review.
Suffice to say that I’m impressed so far with the kit, it’s easy to assemble and use and certainly works well with the camera I have tried it on. However, it needs a 3.5 input socket and I’m not sure if this was the smartest move on Sennheisers part, I think a USB connector would have been a better bet, especially where smartphones are concerned.

A great way to add high quality audio recording to your DSLR captured video footage.
DSLR’s are great for taking high quality pictures and in some circumstances video. While the picture quality is usually pretty good, audio quality is usually sub-standard because the built in mic on most DSLR’s isn’t up to scratch. This is exactly where this shotgun mic comes in handy. It can be attached directly to your DSLR to provide excellent high quality audio capture. This particular one goes a step further than standard shotgun mic by capturing stereo audio using two mic’s which also work to reduce ambient noise capture so you record more of the sound coming from the direction you’re recording in. This is definitely one for the professional videographers out there who want to finally add some decent audio to their video recordings.

Ich habe fr YouTube ein Mikrofon gesucht um dies an meiner Canon anzuwenden. Ich wusste im Vorfeld gar nicht das es aktive und passive Mikrofone gibt. Da ich jetzt nicht der Held der Batterien und Akkus bin (hab bei der Camara schon genug Stress damit) wollte ich gerne ein Mikro ohne Batterie. Da gibt es ja gar nicht so viele.

Also fleiig Videos geschaut. Hat mir aber nicht viel gebracht. Meistens werden in solchen Mikrofonvergleichsvideos irgendwelche 300 teuren Mikrofone vergleichen. Das brachte mich eh nicht weiter (meine Frau genehmigt mir nie 300 fr ein Mirko 🙂 ) Also bei Amazon etwas umgeschaut und dann diese Mikro entdeck. Fand ich jetzt sehr gut von der Gre. Der Windschutz ist auch dabei.
TEST
Als ich dann das Mikro bekommen habe musste ich natrlich direkt einen Test machen. Ich habe in unterschiedlichen Abstnden (50 cm und 1 m) getestet und mit sowie ohne Windschutz. Ich setze das Mikro hauptschlich im Innenbereich ein. Bei meinem Test war das Mikro dem internen Kameramikro haushoch berlegen. Ein viel klarerer Klang. Ich fand es jetzt im Abstand 50 cm und 1 m fast gleich. Windschutz brauchte jetzt (OK im Innenbereich) keinen Unterschied. Aber ganz wichtig … man muss in das Mikro sprechen … Ton von der Seite wird ganz schwach aufgenommen.
Fazit
Fr mich das absolut ein gutes Mikro. Fr den Preis finde ich es super.

Best sounding premium compact shotgun microphone w/Sony a6600 for the money.
I bought this late 2020 and used it during video capture of all family / tourist video’s over Christmas 2020 on my Sony a6600 aps-c camera.
The built in wind shield / shock mount worked well in light to moderate wind conditions except for a hilltop arboretum/kite flying area where I had to use the included furry accessory.
It has a decent super/cardiod pattern and its for fact is unobtrusive and cant be beat for compactness cant be beat. I definitely prefer this over my Deity D4 Duo. Highly recommended.

Buon prodotto. La qualit solo leggermente superiore a quella del microfono interno alla Canon 6D. Testato sia in interno che all’esterno produce comunque notevole fruscio (anche in condizioni di silenzio e assenza di vento) che richiede comunque un lavoro di postproduzione per eliminare il rumore di fondo. Dopo l’eliminazione del rumore di fondo la qualit ottima. Migliore comunque rispetto ad altri blasonati prodotti dello stesso livello di prezzo da me testati.

Das Richtmikro von Sennheiser funktioniert nach dem simplen Plug&Play-Prinzip. Einfach draufstecken, Kabel rein und fertig. Schneller geht es kaum. Es ist auch sehr unauffllig und klein, sodass es die Personen vor der Kamera nicht stren sollte.
Der Nebengeruschfilter ist wirklich gut. Wir haben es bei starkem Herbstwind getestet und da wurde ordentlich rausgefiltert. Auch die Klangfarbe und der Ton kommen klar und unverflscht an.
Im Studio hat es dann nochmal extra gepunktet, weil die Stimmen richtig satt und klar rberkommen. Hier wird das Kamera-interne Mikrofon gut geboostet.
Fazit: Das Sennheiser holt nochmal richtig was heraus, ist kein High-End-Produkt, aber fr den Hobbyfilmer und auch fr jede Art von Social Media oder anderen vergleichbaren Aufnahmen eine hervorragende Wahl.
Using this mic primarily with a Sony a6400. Wanted to upgrade my sound and I use my camera in a variety of settings from video shoots, to live streaming, to online lessons. I wanted to really get better audio especially while speaking and for the price this really delivers. Not a fan of the included shockmount and ended purchasing a cheap $10 mount from amazon for using with mic stands (i am a musician have a ton of these around the house). The capability of running off of phantom or battery power is real handy along with the xlr output. While a bit cumbersome to use with my a6400 (because i need to use a cable adapter) this a small trade off for the quality of audio this thing puts out. Plus my eventual goal is to upgrade to a camcorder with professional xlr inputs and also will eventually add an external audio recorder to my setup. The xlr output of the MKE600 ensures that this mic will be in rotation for many years as my rig changes. I mostly use this mic indoors, in a nontreated room that is quite reverberant (which is not ideal) but the audio is always high quality and useable. Outdoors just as great (can’t wait to get a blimp for this mic!). Great when mounted overhead and captures dialogue nicely, i find it to be quite forgiving for such a directional mic.
If you are looking at other mics in this price range I would highly recommend this one!

I bought this mainly for my camera after seeing the raving reviews everywhere. It does a splendid job of recording clear audio. Since this is my first external mic, I didn’t know that external mono mics record in only one channel. However, with a little tinkering in system you can convert it to both channels.
The place where this microphone absolutely shined was in office calls. I plugged into my Mac using the smartphone 3.5mm cable (TRRS). I’ve a pedestal fan on my right which introduces a lot of noise in almost all the headsets I use – except Jabra where it’s minimal. Having this microphone, the fan/wind noise was eliminated completely, which is astonishing. My voice was very clear and I could move around a little in my chair. I haven’t seen many talk about using this mic for calls/meetings which IMO its best use case during these times.

El micrfono Sennheiser MKE 200 ha cumplido plenamente con mis expectativas. Tiene un buen rango de sonido, sus acabados son impecables (a pesar de ser plstico) tiene un piso bajo de ruido y por su tamao es muy fcil de llevar. Se puede cargar en el bolsillo de una chaqueta. Los cables atieneden cualquier necesidad del videomaker, as sea en celular, cmara DLSR, Action Cam o camcorder. Espero con ansias con qu nuevos productos nos sorprenda esta marca alemana.

Ce microphone de chez Sennheiser, marque plus prsenter dans le domaine de l’audio, est l’outil parfait pour une captation audio de qualit, en supplment de la vido.
Dans un contexte concert, c’est vraiment l’idal, mais cela peut-tre trs bon galement pour capter des vidos dans la nature, les sons tant parfois d’une grande finesse, lorsque l’on sort.
Test sur mon smartphone Moto Z Play 2, il fonctionne parfaitement. Le format n’est par contre pas tout fait adapt aux smartphones, sur le plan ergonomique, et il faut trouver un moyen de fixer le micro sur l’appareil.
Une fois cela fait, on remarque nettement la diffrence, une fois le fichier lu sur un systme d’coute et de visionnage correct. Les basses ressortent prcisment, sans manger sur le reste du spectre.
La bonnette permet d’viter les “pop”, mais surtout les bruits conscutifs une captation en extrieur, qui sont souvent gchs par le vent.
Attention, pour un couplage avec un appareil numrique car tous ne sont pas pourvus d’une sortie mini jack, connectique prvue pour ce microphone.
Dans l’ensemble, je ne saurais que trop suggrer ce MKE 200 celles et ceux qui souhaitent, en complment d’une vido prise sur smartphone ou APN, une bonne qualit sonore.

Sicherlich kann man mit der eigenen Digitalkamera oder dem Smartphone kurze und witzige Videos produzieren. Wer allerdings viel Wert auf einen vernnftigen Ton legt, wird mit der Grundausstattung der Anbieter nur selten zufrieden sein — Werbeversprechen klingen vollmundiger, wenn sie eine beachtliche optische Schrfe bieten, sodass Mikrofone eher zweitranig erscheinen. Nachrsten lsst sich dies jedoch ziemlich einfach, beispielsweise mit dem Richtmikrofon MKE 200 von Sennheiser.
Dank der beiden beiliegenden Kabel ist die Verbindung mit dem Aufnahmegert ziemlich einfach, sowohl Digitalkamera als auch die getesteten Smartphones haben das Mikrofon direkt erkannt und fr die Video-Aufnahmen ohne weitere Einstellungen genutzt — einfacher kann es schon nicht gehen. Und tatschlich wird die Klangqualitt dann auch mageblich verbessert, da strende Nebengerusche effektiv herausgefiltert werden.
Das Mikrofon nimmt wirklich vorrangig das auf, was in direkter Richtung liegt und konzentriert sich dabei auf menschliche Stimmen. So werden beispielsweise die typischen Erschtterungen bei Aufnahmen im Gehen ebenso ausgeblendet wie Stimmen hinter oder neben dem Mikrofon, aber auch von den natrlichen Nebengeruschen ist spter kaum etwas zu hren. Besonders gut gefllt mir, dass dies auch fr Auenaufnahmen gilt, sogar Wind wird deutlich sprbar unterdrckt, sofern man den beiliegenden Fellberzieher nutzt.
Einfach in der Handhabung, deutlich verbesserte Klangqualitt und effektive Nebengeruschunterdrckung — das Sennheiser Richtmikrofon MKE 200 eignet sich perfekt fr Einsteiger und Hobbyfilmer, sei es fr den privaten Gebrauch oder fr Vlogs-Content. Durch die wertige und stabile Verarbeitung macht das Gert auch einen qualitativen Eindruck und wird sicherlich lange Zeit halten. Ein berzeugendes Mikrofon, das ich gerne weiterempfehle.
Improves sound more than I expected.
I have a pretty good Canon camera which has shot video that impressed me no end. I had not really thought there was any major problem with the sound, but wind noise is known problem and the sound of my pressing camera controls is sometimes audible. So when the opportunity to try this out arose I was a little sceptical that there could be much improvement. How wrong I was!
Not only is the sound crisper and lacking in any camera noise, but also the wind protection in this mic is much superior to my built in camera meaning that the wind noises – even on a windy beach – are pretty much gone using the provided wind shield. Can be used fixed onto the camera shoe or with extended lead as a hand held mic on a pole if you have a helper.

Vraiment tout simple installer. Ds l’ouverture de la boite il y a la photo de montage sur un appareil photo. Dans la boite il y a plus de dtails, mais cette premire photo suffit largement tellement c’est simple.
On visse le micro sur l’appareil et il est bien fix. Pas de risque de voir le micro bouger et sortir de son logement.
Le poids du micro est ngligeable par rapport l’appareil sur lequel il est mont et ne dsquilibre absolument pas l’appareil, on garde la mme quilibre de l’appareil en main.
Il y a un sac pour contenir le micro en voyage et les cables. Le manchon en cas de vent est bien efficace et attenue les problmes audio ds au vent.
Ensuite on procde comme on a l’habitude pour prendre des vidos et voil. Le maitre mot est simplicit.
Parfait pour des vidos en situation, par exemple pour prendre ma fille au golf.
Super cooles Vlogging Mic
Ich habe immer nach dem passenden Universal Mikro zum filmen gesucht. Ob ich es auf meiner Sony a6300 oder an meinem Handy angeschlossen habe. Es liefert unwahrscheinlich gute Ergebnisse. Der Shockmount ist im Gehuse integriert, hie ist es seinen Mitstreitern gegenpber, klar im Vorteil. Im Lierferumfang sind TRS und TRRS Kabel sowei eine Deadcat enthalten. Alles in Allem ein super Richtmikro, das selbst strkerem Wind trotzt und sehr kompakt ist.

Das Sennheiser MKE 200 Richtmikrofon kommt in einer aufgerumten und bersichtlichen Verpackung an. Mit der Schnellanleitung, wie auf den Fotos ersichtlich, wird die Montage sofort erklrt. Dies hinterlsst einen positiven ersten Eindruck.
Das Montieren ist innerhalb weniger Sekunden erledigt. Meine Nikon hat das Sennheiser Mikrofon ohne Strungen direkt akzeptiert. Da es ber den MIC-Eingang angeschlossen wird, sollte es auch bei einer Canon DSR oder anderen Kameras kaum Probleme machen.
Zu der Tonqualitt:
Ich habe das MKE 200 unter verschiedenen Bedingungen getestet! Bei einer Videoaufnahme im Innenbereich wird das aufgenommene Sprechen ganz eindeutig in den Vordergrund gestellt. Die Sprache ist klar und sehr gut wahrzunehmen. Insbesondere bei einer Entfernung von ca. 1 Meter zum Mikrofon merkt man den deutlichen Unterschied zu einer Aufnahme ohne dem MKE 200 Richtmikrofon. Seitliches Sprechen bleibt im Hintergrund. Auch strende Gerusche werden minimiert.
Der Ton wirkt authentischer und professionell. Die Tonbertragung macht keinerlei Probleme.
Auch im Auenbereich bei windigem Wetter merkt man ebenfalls die Leistung des Mikrofons. Der Wind war nicht hrbar. Bestenfalls minimal im Hintergrund. Der beigefgte Fellschutz wird natrlich bentigt.
Ich habe das Mikrofon auch einem speziellen Test unterzogen. Direkt in Windrichtung meines Ventilators! Dabei war das MKE 200 vollstndig innerhalb der starken Luftzirkulation. Auch hier wurde die Sprache klar und im Vordergrund aufgenommen. Der Ventilator war so gut wie nicht hrbar.
Die Verarbeitung des Richtmikrofons ist einwandfrei. Ich konnte keine Produktionsfehler feststellen.
Auch optisch wirkt das Mikrofon hochwertig und professionell.
Aufgrund meiner persnlichen Testergebnisse hat mich das Sennheiser MKE 200 berzeugt. Ich kann es ganz klar empfehlen. Sennheiser bietet mit diesem Mikrofon ein erstklassiges Produkt an!
Wenn die qualitativ aufrüsten...
Ich nutze meine Nikon Spiegelreflexkamera ausschlielich privat und habe mir vor ca. 2 Jahr ein neues Modell mit Videofunktion gekauft. Auch wenn Nikon sicherlich im Bereich “Video” noch so ein paar kleine Schwchen hat, ist man hier doch deutlich besser geworden. Tonqualitt ber die Kamera ist allerdings eine Katastrophe. Da wird die Qualitt bereits mit einem billigen Richtmikrophon deutlich verbessert. Nutzt man nun dieses kleine Teil von Sennheiser erfhrt man erneut einen deutlich Qualittaufwuchs, den ich so auch nicht mehr missen mchte.
Kurz beschrieben knnte man sagen: Klein, handlich, hochwertig, Plug&Play, hohe Qualitt, robust.
Fr den privaten Bereich kommt man hier schon in eine professionelle Liga. Ich bin ehrlich begeistert und kann diese Mikrophon absolut empfehlen.

It’s pleasing to see a new mic from Sennheiser – the MKE 200 – that’s tailor-made for the content creation/youtube generation. Small and light, easy to put in your pocket and not cumbersome, I was very keen to try this mic out. I have fairly extensive knowledge of camera mics (owning several Rhode mics for various purposes) so this was a great item to test.
The Sennheiser MKE 200 sits next to its larger shotgun mic brother in the Sennheiser lineup, the MKE 400 — itself one of the best microphones for vlogging — and offers creators a small, straightforward microphone that delivers significantly improved sound.
As with all external mics, there’s simply no comparison when it comes to recording video — a camera’s in-built microphone(s) just can’t offer anywhere near the same audio quality. However, with plenty of similar mics on the market, the Sennheiser has its work cut out to stand out from the crowd.
The manufacturer has come through, though, using its 75 years of audio expertise to natively improve handling and wind noise for this super-cardioid capsule mic.
Where other mics in this category typically feature a shock mount on the external chassis (if, indeed, they feature it at all), the MKE 200 features integrated, internal shock-mounting to minimize noise when handling and jostling the camera and mic. Tried this microphone in my DSLR (600d) and the sound results are impressive! There is a huge difference between using the camera micro or the MKE200.
A few things to bear in mind thought…
First off all, if you use the MKE200, you cannot use the camera flash, because the micro uses the camera shoe. So if you are filming something at night, you will need an extra source of light.
Second, the MKE connects to the shoe, but there is no click sound, so I just had to assume that it was in place and safe from falling from my camera, in case of a sudden movement, or something like that…
Overall, it is very well made, its light but you can feel the building quality every time you bear it in your hand
It comes with a transport bag, and everything you need to use it.
So I can only recommend it, a great portable microphone with professional sound quality.

Excellent quality entry level shotgun mike
This directional microphone is compatible with dslr and mirrorless cameras as well as smartphones. One thing to note that your camera has to have Audio-IN port to use this, not every dslr has got one of those, mainly in the entry level. I have a Canon EOS 1200D at home that could do nothing with this mike as it doesn’t have a audio in port. So make sure you check that first. It can be used with a mobile phone as well to improve the recording quality. You will need something to hold the microphone in place. A quick search on amazon reveals that you can buy universal holders/selfie sticks and tripods to use with your phone, mircrophone combo. Just another thing to factor in when buying a mike for your phone. So the Sennheiser MKE200 records superb quality audio and filters out background noise effectively. It draws power by the cable supplied so it doesn’t need battery or external power source but it will negatively affect the battery life of your camera/phone. The microphone is super compact easy to carry around and comes with a wooly cover to reduce noise in extra windy conditions, this however lowers the recording volume. All in all a great little microphone, it’s more expensive than some you can get online but it’s the same Sennheiser quality we come to love over the years. Personally I think it’s worth investing into one if you take vlogging seriously and want to make professional videos. Should you need more and better quality there are always the more expensive options for the professionals.

I’m a bit late on this review, as I have been waiting for the price to be announced, so I can give the best review possible.
Currently, it is sat at 87 and I can say that for that price, this is a fantastic piece of equipment! It’s small, lightweight, is powered through the jack on your camera and has excellent quality for how small it is! Not to mention that it sits on your hot-shoe mount and doesn’t need anything else to work!
I recorded a podcast/interview with this and it captured our voices perfectly, while also dimming-down background noise while we were talking. It did happen to pick-up some background noises (a fan) while we weren’t talking, even with the little muffler, which is a little bit of a shame, but it does go to prove just how powerful this little microphone actually is.
I would honestly say that this is a must buy for anyone who does vlogging or podcasts/interviews and doesn’t need bulky, studio-grade equipment!

Excellent quality
Easy to attach to my Sony Alpha camera, or just as easy to my Android phone. A dedicated lead is included for each purpose (camera or phone).
The quality is far superior to the built-in microphones for either device.
On the camera, the sound levels were obviously higher, according to the levels shown on the display. When played back, the difference with/without the external microphone are stark – much brighter sound quality. The attached video clip is with the microphone (you can only attach one video clip – who would be interested in the ‘before’ clip?). You can hear a canal barge in the background that couldn’t be heard using the camer’s own microphone, and it was more muffled – this was taken at a set of lock gates.
The wind-protection ‘sock’ that coes with it, loses a few fibres when handled, which is the only minor niggle for the device.
It is excellent quality and very good value.

This is easy to use. It fits into my DSLR and it’s smaller than I expected. I noticed straight away that I get a much clearer sound when using this. This means making blogs and videos is easier and they appear more professional. Best of all is the cover to use when windy, this really makes the difference. A cool bit of tech that you’ll wonder how you did without!
Einfach und effektiv
Das Sennheiser MKE 200 Richtmikrofon fr gngige DSLR- und spiegellose Digitalkameras ist recht klein, passt perfekt auf den Blitzschuh der Kamera und ist einfach mit einem Spiralkabel ber den Klinkenstecker mit der Kamera verbunden. Man kann hier nicht viel falsch machen und mit der Gre ist das kleine Richtmikrofon nicht wirklich strend, faktisch nicht grer als ein Blitzlicht.
Aber was berzeugt ist der klare Ton, den das Mikrofon gezielt auffngt, wobei strende Nebengerusche minimiert werden. Die Einrichtung ist wirklich einfach und intuitiv, die Videoaufnahme mit der Kamera funktioniert tadellos. Ich habe in den vergangenen Tagen das Mikrofon mit einer Sony Systemkamera genutzt und bin von der Tonqualitt wirklich begeistert.
Zum Lieferumfang gehrt neben dem Richtmikrofon und einer Anleitung ein Fell-Windschutz, der ber das Mikrofon gestlpt werden kann, zwei Spiralkabel mit entsprechenden Klinkensteckern fr verschiedene Kameratypen und ein Stoffbeutel zur einfachen Aufbewahrung.
Qualitativ alles gut gearbeitet und robust. Gefllt mir wirklich sehr. Der Unterschied zum eingebauten Kameramikrofon ist beachtlich. Top!
Das Mikrofon habe ich zum Einen mit meinem Smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S20) und mit meiner DSLR-Kamera (Canon EOS 650D) ausprobiert. Ich bin begeistert!
Zuerst zum Lieferumfang, da ist einiges in der konomischen & kologischen Verpackung drin:
– Das Mikrofon
– Ein Windschutz
– Ein Transportbeutel
– Zwei AUX Kabel
– Eine Schiene fr die Kamera
– Bedienungsanleitung
– …
Das Mikro ist ziemlich einfach zu benutzen, und zwar an beiden Gerten. Am Handy wird es einfach ber den AUX Eingang eingesteckt und ist sofort benutzbar, getestet habe ich verschiedene Szenarien: Drinnen (Musikaufnahme) und drauen (Sprachaufnahme, hnlich Interviews etc.). In beidem macht sich das MKE200 sehr gut und bersteuert auch nicht. Die Aufnahme hat schon ohne Bearbeitung eine gute Rauschunterdrckung und eine schne Brillanz mit vielen Hhen und Tiefen (gemessen mit Spektrometer).
Auch an der Kamera ist das Mikrofon schnell angebracht: Einfach auf die Schiene stecken, die Schiene an die Kamera schrauben und schon ist das Mikro dran. Das AUX Kabel hat einen Schutz integriert, damit es nicht rausgezogen werden und nicht rausfallen kann. Die Endpunkte werden richtig “verschraubt” mit einer kleinen Mutter, damit alles bombenfest sitzt. Auch hier macht sich das Mikrofon gut, gerade im Auenbereich mit dem mitgelieferten Windschutz macht es nicht nur eine schne Figur sondern liefert auch satte Tonaufnahmen.
Insgesamt kann ich das Mikrofon nur weiterempfehlen, ist sicherlich auch fr den semi-professionellen Bereich zumindest als Backup ein preiswertes und trotzdem wahnsinnig hochqualitatives Produkt.
Ich nutze seit einem Jahr das Rode VMPRY VideoMic Pro Rycote und war mit diesem im Zusmmenspiel mit meiner Nikon Spiegelreflexkamera eigentlich recht zufrieden gewesen. Grtes Handicap blieb bei den an sich recht anstndigen Tonergerbnissen sowohl im Freien als auch beim Vlogging im Studio, die behbige Gre.
Das MKE 200 von Sennheiser sticht hier in Puncto Gre und auch der Haptik das Rode meiner persnlichen Meinung nach um den Faktor 3 aus. Warum um den Faktor 3? Das MKE 200 ist ziemlichgenau 3 mal kleiner als das Rode. Dies impliziert zum einen eine einfachere Handhabung im Gebrauch als auch eine bessere Mglichkeit dieses zu trasportieren. Gewcihtstechnisch brigt das Sennheiser zudem lediglich 48 Gramm auf die Briefwaage whend das Rode mit seinen eta 85 Gramm da schon fast wie ein “Schwergewicht” wirkt.
Der Cold Shoe Mount gefllt mir persnlich auch besser als die von Rode verwendete Rycote-Lyre-Schwinghalterungs Lsung, welche fr die Krperschallentkoppelung gedacht ist.
Bei Aufnahmen im Freien habe ich fr mich die besten Ergebnisse mit dem Rode Pro erzielen knnen, was aber bei der finalen Abmischung letzlich nur “gefhlte” Nuancen ausmachte. Im Studiobetrieb konnte das Sennheiser Mikrofon fr mich strker punkten. Die Stimmaufnahmen waren direkter und prsenter als beim Rode.
Wer eher mit dem Sucher statt dem Display an der Kamera agiert, wird mit dem Sennheiser ebenfalls besser bedient sein, da dieses aufgrund seiner minimalitishen gre hier keine Behinderung mehr darstellt.
Das Richtmikrofon agiert natrlich ohne Akku und wird problemlos auf dem Blitzschuh montiert.
Letzlich macht fr mich persnlich im direkten Vergleich das Sennheiser MIkrofon das Rennen, wenngleich ich speziell bei Auenaufnahmen auch nicht auf das Rode verzichten mchte, welches zudem die Krperschalldmmung besser kompensiert.
Die Gre macht hier fr mich einen ganz entscheidenen Vorteil aus und die bisher durchgefhrten Tonaufnahmen haben mich berzeugt. Beide Kameras untersttzen im brigen die Ein- und Ausschaltautomatik.
Meinerseits eine Empfehlung fr all diejenigen, welche keine Lust mehr haben sich ber ein “berdimmensioniertes” Richtmikrofon am Sucher zu rgern.
Great little microphone for vlogging.
I record video content for work and this mic plugs into my smartphone and is way better than the built-in microphone on the phone. I bought a handy little tripod and phone holder with cold shoe mount making a perfect portable recording package (see pic). You get two leads, one for a camera and one for a phone, and a neat little fluffy wind shield. Recommended.

Ich darf mit zu den Glcklichen zhlen, welche das neue Sennheiser MKE 200 Richtmikrofon vorab testen durften. Das MKE 200 ist ein kompaktes und leichtes Richtmikrofon fr Systemkameras und Smartphones. Gerade durch die kompakte Bauform ist es ideal fr den Einsatz unterwegs und nimmt nur sehr wenig Platz in der Fototasche weg.
Die Verarbeitung ist wie bei Sennheiser gewohnt als erstklassig und ohne Fehl und Tadel zu bezeichnen. Alle Teile sind hochwertig und robust gefertigt. Zum Lieferumfang gehren neben dem Mikrofon, zwei verschiedene Kabel. Eines fr den Anschluss des Mikrofons an Kameras und eines fr den Anschluss an Smartphones. Weiterhin sind ein Transportbeutel sowie ein Windabweiser und die Anleitung mit dabei.
Das MKE 200 wird auf dem Blitzschuh der Kamera montiert und die Kabelverbindung zwischen Kamera und Mikrofon hergestellt. Bei den Filmaufnahmen merkt man direkt die deutliche Verbesserung gegenber dem internen Mikrofon der Kamera. Das MKE 200 filtert Gerusche von hinten und von den Seiten effektiv heraus und ist auf Gerusche von vorne gerichtet. Die Schock absorbierende Aufhngung im Inneren verhindert, dass Gerusche und Ste im mobilen Einsatz auf der Tonspur landen. Das funktioniert absolut zufriedenstellend. Ich war komplett berrascht wie gut dieses kleine und leichte Mikrofon funktioniert und wie viel besser die Filmaufnahmen damit werden. Das MKE 200 kommt komplett ohne externe Stromversorgung aus. Dies ist neben der Kompaktheit auch ideal fr unterwegs. Eine weitere positive berraschung war fr mich der kleine Plschbeutel, welcher bei Wind auf das Mikrofon gestlpt werden kann. Dieser minimiert strende Windgerusche sehr effektiv, ohne dass dabei die Tonqualitt zu stark leidet.
Wer ein kleines, leichtes und dennoch hochwertiges Mikrofon fr seine Kamera sucht, macht mit dem neuen Sennheiser MKE 200 nichts falsch. In meiner Kameratasche fr unterwegs ist nun immer ein Platz fr das kleine MKE 200 reserviert.
A sound investme
A neat little microphone that I use with my DSLR camera.
It attaches to the shoe on top of my camera, but it does not take power from the shoe. It is powered by a curled blue cable that plugs into the side of the camera.
This means that you do not need batteries for the mike, and you do not need to charge it up. This would probably mean that you would get less running time from your camera battery if you were to use it for long periods.
The microphone is directional. It picks up clearly the sound of things that you point it at, and it is then good at cutting out unwanted background noise.
It is designed to work well in windy conditions, and there is a little woolly cover for extra protection from gusty conditions.
This is a handy accessory to have to add to the quality of my video recordings.

Sennheiser baut einfach mal gute Mics. Wenn es mglich wre das Teil noch etwas kleiner zu konstruieren wre ich noch glcklicher. Wirkt auf der GH6 etwas klobig. Aber der Sound ist spitze.
This MKE200 fits the bill perfectly
Having not seen this in person before I got it, I was surprised at just how tiny it was! I was thinking it would be the size of a Rode series mic, but it’s like 1/3 the size! Not that it matters. I’m actually glad it’s this size because it fits perfectly on my Nikon Z6. If you’re looking for a small and easy to use shotgun mic, you can’t go wrong with this. I also have a Senneheiser ME66/K6 combo that I love, but it was just too big to put on a small camera body. This MKE200 fits the bill perfectly

Le micro se glisse sur la tte accessoire de votre appareil et on branche le micro avec le cble. Un cot du cble se vis sur le micro, l’autre se branche sur l’appareil. Mon premier test ne fonctionnait pas car j’avais mal viss le cble sur le micro faite donc attention.
Une fois branch a dsactive automatiquement le micro intgr de votre appareil.
Le micro n’est pas stro et peut se monter dans les deux sens sur votre griffe porte flash. Si vous voulez enregistrer principalement le son provenant de ce que vous filmez il faut placer l’entre prise vers l’avant, si vous voulez enregistrer vos commentaires alors que vous tes derrire l’appareil il faut le monter dans l’autre sens avec la prise dirig vers l’arrire.
Vous pouvez galement placer le micro sur un trpied car il dispose d’un pas de vis standard, mais il vous faudra un cble long.
Le micro ne dispose d’aucun bouton ni rglages.
Comparativement au son du micro intgr mon appareil Canon EOS R, le son enregistr depuis le MKE 200 est beaucoup plus prcis et clair, la sonorit est bien plus fidle. La prise des voix est prcise et les sons parasites ou d’environnement sont attnus.
Une bonnette anti vend est livr avec et sert viter le souffle du vent lorsque vous tes en extrieur. C’est trs pratique et efficace, mais attention a rduit l’intensit d’enregistrement d’environ 15db et a donne un aspect trange votre micro. De plus cette bonnette n’est pas pratique placer sur le micro.
Le cble smartphone est reconnaissable car il dispose d’une petite tiquette l’identifiant.
Ces cbles sont court et ne permettent pas d’loigner le micro de la camra, il faudra donc penser une rallonge ou un autre modle avec un plus long fil ou sans fil si vous avez besoin d’loigner votre micro.
Ce micro dispose de plusieurs avantages mon avis:
– trs petit
-fonctionne sans batteries
– bonnette anti vent incluse
– deux modles de cbles inclus
– son de qualit pour enregistrer la voix

Je ne suis pas un pro de la prise de sons mais l’vidence quiper votre camra de ce petit MKE 200 amliorera grandement la qualit sonore de vos vido, si vous y ajoutez ensuite un peut de travail dans un logiciel pour ajouter une bande sonore avec de la musique et des bruits d’embiance vous obtiendrez des vidos avec beaucoup plus d’impact.
Small mic with strong body and qualitative parts. Sound is just fab!
A small very good shotgun microphone, suitable for DSLR and smartphone, as well. Tested it on Canon 800D and Samsung Galaxy S10+. On Samsung didn’t do a lot of things – the sound is clearer, obviously, the smartphone is showing when the sound is being recorded from another device. On Canon I could actually feel the real difference – incredible. The background noise is totally gone, extremely sensible, the windshield very cool and qualitative. The body of the microphone very strong and great looking. With every detail you can feel that Sennheiser is doing a great job with any product they launch. Really good one, recommend.
Bisher habe ich immer ein VideoMic Pro von Rode beim Filmen verwendet, womit ich grundstzlich auch echt zufrieden war und immer noch bin. Trotzdem wollte ich mein Equipment um das Sennheiser erweitern.
Fr mich ist es nmlich nicht nur ein Richtmikrofon, das bei mir auf der Kamera sitzt, sondern vor allem auch sehr gut dafr geeignet, um Personen zu interviewen, denen man das Mikro dann unter die Nase hlt. Und was soll ich sagen, dass Sennheiser kann in jeder Hinsicht berzeugen!
Material / Verarbeitung:
Sennheiser liefert, was der Preis erwarten lsst. Das Mikrofon ist komplett aus Metall und wirkt durch und durch hochwertig. Ohne den Windschutz sieht es sogar regelrecht edel aus. Alles ist sehr sauber verarbeitet und wirkt vor allem auch robust und langlebig. Da gibt es fr mich nichts zu beanstanden. So hochwertige Produkte machen einfach Spa!
Ein bisschen negativ aufgefallen ist mir lediglich die Aufhngung, mit der man das Mikrofon auf einer Kamera befestigen kann. Die ist aus Plastik, was soweit auch erst einmal vllig in Ordnung ist – immerhin ist diese ja auch so konstruiert, dass sie Schwingungen abfangen soll. Allerdings wirkt sie insgesamt im Vergleich zum Konkurrenzprodukt von Rode deutlich billiger. Vor allem ist hier auch der Blitzschuhadapter samt Feststellschraube aus Plastik, was ich persnlich schade finde. Das gibt einen Abzug in der B-Note.
Ton:
5 von 5 Sternen! Ich war bisher schon immer sehr vom Ton meines Rode begeistert – das Sony konnte da aber tatschlich noch einmal einen drauf setzen. Gerusche werden glasklar aufgenommen, Stimmen klingen schn prsent und volumins. Fr mich kann und muss ein Mikrofon hier nicht noch besser abliefern. Sicherlich, irgendwie und irgendwo ist immer noch Luft nach oben. Fr mich bekommt man hier zu einem fr die Qualitt “gnstigen” Preis aber bereits Profiqualitt. In diesem Fall bezahlt man ganz sicher nicht einfach nur den Namen mit.
Usabilit:
Aufschrauben, Batterie rein, anschalten und los gehts. Super einfach und super berzeugend. Mich persnlich strt hier nur, dass es bis auf den wirklich kleinen Schalter keinen Indikator dafr gibt, ob das Mikrofon gerade ein- oder ausgeschaltet ist. Beim Einschalten leuchtet lediglich kurz ein kleines Lmpchen auf, das dann wieder ausgeht. So ist es schnell passiert, dass man vergisst das Mirko auszuschalten. Es mag Grnde dafr geben, das so zu konstruieren, ich persnlich finde es aber etwas nachteilig.
Fazit:
Ein Mikrofon, das mich persnlich begeistern konnte und bei dem ich den Preis wirklich gerechtfertigt finde. Guter Ton ist etwas so wichtiges, das man hier nicht an der falschen Stelle sparen sollte. In der Sennheiser-Welt ist der Preis auerdem ja fast noch als “gnstig” zu bezeichnen. Verarbeitung und Tonqualitt stimmen hier einfach, weshalb ich das Mikro auf jeden Fall jedem mit etwas Anspruch fr guten Ton empfehlen kann. Da es hier immerhin um ein Sennheiser-Produkt geht, wiegen hier die fr manche vielleicht recht kleinen Kritikpunkte etwas schwerer, weshalb ich nur vier Sterne gebe. Das ist aber auch meckern auf hohem Niveau

Beautiful sound
I’m using this with a blackmagic ursa mini pro g2, and it’s amazing. The sound is very clear, there’s no static, no distortion, it just sounds ‘right’.
It seems to be directional enough for my needs, but there’s times where I’m sure I could do with something a little more directional. Its relatively good at isolating side noise, which has been good during a couple of factory tours with a lot of machinery. I’m using this as a backup to wireless lav mics, and its almost as good, or in some cases, better than the on-talent microphones despite the distance.

Verwende die Mikrophone fr Naturgerusche, Musikaufnahmen, Meditationsmusik mit dehr gutem Ergebnis. Wrde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.
Produit de haute qualit mais vu le prix c’est un minimum.
Usage pro pas du.
Je ne suis pas ingnieur du son, je fais des vidos, ce que je demande un micro directionnel c’est que je puisse l’utiliser facilement, directement sur mon botier de camra (Sony a6300), et obtenir instantanment un son de qualit professionnelle pour mes productions. Sans enregistreur (comme a pas besoin de synchroniser les pistes). Ben l c’est exactement ce que j’ai avec ce modle.
Aprs avoir vu un tuto d’un professionnel j’avais opt pour le Sennheiser me66. Tellement du que je l’avais renvoy. Le son tait tellement clair qu’il manquait de chaleur dans les graves, du coup inexploitable sans le passer dans un EQ. Franchement pas que a faire…
L avec celui l j’ai rien faire. Le son est “cinma” impeccable mme quand enregistr en pleine ville (cas d’enregistrement 1 mtre du sujet). Trs peu de bruit, bonne directivit du son, touffe les sons de derrire.
Petit truc et astuce je laisse le “passe-bas” mme en enregistrements intrieurs car a enlve un peu de grave dans les basses frquences et du coup a enlve un peu de chaleur (parfois un poil trop prsente) pour apporter un peu de clart supplmentaire.
Bref le rsultat est bien bien meilleur qu’avec un rode vido mic pro. Pour presque le mme prix.
Ne conviendra srement pas aux grosses productions cinma avec ingnieur du son, moniteur d’enregistrement, mastering etc etc… Mais je recommande sans hsiter pour les gens qui comme moi veulent du rsultat pro (ou semi pro) sans effort parce qu’ils ont d’autres choses faire que monitorer leurs enregistrements audio.

Great build quality and very low in self noise. The first thing that I noticed when I plugged it in was the quietness of silence and the clarity of speech.
Works via phantom power or battery power and the differences between the two powering methods are pretty minimal in practise. I have used this mic boomed with phantom power and it sounds fantastic, but even better, straight on top of a video camera with battery power and I think it works extraordinarily well like this. Good side and back rejection with a lovely tone which isn’t too hyped in the treble and has a clear, open bass end.
The MKE 600 is really worth the money and improves your sound capture a great deal in comparison to many other options.

This is a great step up from the Rodes video mic I used to use. Stereo separation, plus having more control over the gate and gain – not to mention a LOT easier to change the battery, which is a nice-to-have even if you only do it every 50 hours. 😉

I bought this to replace the Rode Video Mic Pro I was using and I couldn’t be happier. The sound quality is better, less boomier and just clearer in general. Great mic for YouTube content creators, both for sit-down videos and even vlogging style, out and about. This is definitely a welcomed step up from the Rode Video Mic Pro.

UPDATE 2 – September 2020 – MKE 600 vs. MKH 416
I recently received a new Sennheiser MKH 416 for my VO projects and can now directly compare the two microphones. In my opinion, the MKE 600 is still the better microphone for voiceover despite the long and storied history of the 416. The 600 just has a smoother overall tone, particularly on the highs. The 416 has a “big” sound but can easily become quite boomy and sibilant. The 600 does not have this problem thanks to a more forgiving EQ curve. For most VO talent, I would recommend the MKE 600 over the 416, unless you have a client or studio that specifically requires a 416. The battery option on the 600 also means that I can use it as a travel microphone or for quick auditions and reads away from the studio.
UPDATE 1 – November 2017
I’ve now used my MKE 600 to record hundreds of voiceover jobs for several well-known American brands. This mic has performed superbly through all of it. I no longer use the high-pass filter but instead speak at an angle into the mic; this controls plosives while also yielding a fuller sound. The MKE 600 will continue to be my go-to voiceover microphone for the foreseeable future.

I purchased this microphone for voiceovers. I have not found any reviews online of the MKE 600 for voiceover purposes, but I figured I would give it a try since its big brother, the MKH 416, is a voiceover industry mainstay. After recording about a dozen demos with the MKE 600, I can say it’s by far the best microphone I have ever used for spoken word. The pickup pattern is very tight — much more focused than I thought it would be since this is a shorter shotgun mic. Off-axis noise rejection is very good. I personally find the frequency response of the MKE 600 to be outstanding. My voice is deep and boomy; and the high-pass filter works great to roll off that boominess. The high frequency boost is also in a different place than is found on most condenser mics. This one boosts around 7 kHz instead of 10 kHz which gives the mic a smoother sound with greater presence. For anyone looking for a great voiceover mic, particularly those who might not be working in a fully treated space, get this MKE 600.
Outstanding mic. Will work best when using XLR. If you convert XLR to 3.5 then it will give you a hiss. Don’t get it if your rquipment doesn’t take XLR. If your equipment does, then this is the mic to get.

Great mic with a flaw
Maybe I’ve got a lemon, but my sample was a bit self noisy.
Tonally, it is really good though. If you can remove that noise in NLE, get it!
I’m sad to return it. Just got another mike from different supplier, yep, it was a lemon.
Twice as quiet, great stuff, it’s a keeper.

as awesome as all the other reviews say it is. don’t screw around with other cheaper alternatives like I did, skip all the trouble.
AFter using both the Rode video mic and video mic Pro, and being very disappointed in the sounds of those, I bought this on the recommendation of an engineer friend. A bit more expensive than the Rode, but the difference is enormous! Beautiful clean, clear well-balanced sound from this mic.

crazy good for it’s price. I set it up and tested it against an SM58 that I put right up to my mouth and recorded, and the shotgun at 3 feet away, and I had a very very tough time telling the difference. This was an amazing find
Audio is generally the last thought of most people but man for 400 bucks this mic is worth every penny. Nice warm sound great rear rejection. Can go as an on camera mic or a shot gun if you are looking for a solid mic look no further.
