Always had Henry’s so using that as a comparison. Love the cordless-ness of it. I’ve got 2 dogs so vacuum every morning. Surprisingly robust. Good suction. Great on the stairs. Doesnt bang into the walls or get stuck behind doors like poor old Henry did. Stuff does get wrapped round the roller thingy regularly and you have to take the bottom off to untangle it. Would love a longer battery life or some sort of a warning as to whats left in terms of time as its frustrating when you’re in full on vacuuming mood and it just goes…….no
Good value powerful machine
It’s not light (like a Dyson stick) when used as a traditional vac but very easy to use on carpets & easily flick a switch for hard floors. Good suction & folds in half when not in use. Good selection of useful tools too.
Reliable and Efficie
There are many things that I like about this product. The suction is fantastic, I can see visable streaks in my carpet when I hoover. The attachments slip on and off very easily and they allow for me to access all nooks and crannies in my house. The only real disadvantage of this product is that when detached it is slightly top heavy and it fills up quickly. Otherwise I love this product and is probably the best product of it’s kind I have brought.

Best cordless vacuum we’ve had so far. Light. Easy to manoeuvre. Decent suction. We have four dogs and this manages perfectly well with pet hair. Can get around 45 mins of vacuuming per charge. Maintenance is super simple. Can’t fault it!

Extra turbo power when needed. So easy to use with excellent pick up. Love how it folds over on itself and can then stand up. I’ve had Dysons and I’ve also tried cheaper vacuums but this takes the top spot. Easy to empty and clean, absolutely love it.

Great product, swivels well! Love the lights on the front and the colour. Previously I owned a cordless Dyson I prefer this hoover! The folding handle makes storage a lot more practical, including the great price I paid!

although there are benefits from this vacuum the only thing I would say is that the long handle could have been a bit sturdier tends to move when pushing could of done with a clip in the joint maybe to stop it moving

This is a great vacuum. I’ve never tried a dyson but this does everything I need so wouldn’t want to pay the dyson price tag. I bought both on amazon prime days so they were a great price. Easy to use, good attachments, ok battery. Had my first one for 18months and use daily. I bought another for my business to quickly whip around through the day, it copes fine

Decent Hoover!
This Hoover is really quite good. Suction not amazimg but the double brush head picks up everything it goes over. Battery life allows me to do the whole house 3 bed.

I wish I’d bought one of these years ago . So easy to manoeuvre with the flexible cleaning foot and easy to clean with the pipe as well. Battery last for about 20 minutes although we’ve never cleaned for that long. However very quick to charge. The anti hair wrap works well too it’s a marvel

Really good vacuum cleane
It’s a really good vacuum cleaner, easy to set up and store. It’s quite lightweight and the battery lasts for ages once you’ve done the first charge. My only issue is with the “anti-hair wrap” claim – it’s definitely not. I’ve included a couple of photos showing the hair wrapped around the brush, and then showing how much hair was actually there, in spite of the manual saying any hair would only be there temporarily. It was easy enough to remove though, so it doesn’t particularly bother me. All in all I would recommend this vacuum cleaner.

I have had a dyson for years,, so pleased I got this shark….it is not as light as dyson, but the features…i.e. emptying, charging. a light at the bottom is a good idea. Just takes a bit of remembering how to use different features. great and efficient hoove
This Shark vacuum cleaner has made house cleaning a pleasure instead of a chore.
I am really delighted with my Shark IX201UK. It does a great job, it is very well made and clever in design. I love the way it folds under low furniture. Suction is good and I charge after 3 days of use. The accessories are well thought out and easy to install. Emptying the dirt is a breeze.
I would like to see three minor improvements. The on-off switch could be more ergonomically designed to be easier to operate with the thumb. Sometimes the small rollers under the main cleaning head get clogged with pet hair. It would be nice to be able to pop these rollers out to facilitate cleaning. Also the suction is a little too high when cleaning lightweight rugs. Being able to reduce the power below normal when cleaning mats or small rugs would be helpful.
Overall this machine is marvellous and I now enjoy keeping my apartment spotless, whereas before with a mains operated ‘drag behind me’ hoover, it was a chore. well done Shark!
Easy to use
I really like this compared to my old Dyson which was so heavy to drag around. The Shark is so much easier, especially on the stairs and taking it up to the bedrooms
Great vacuum but poor battery life
I bought this on a reduced price deal, and it is certainly a wonderful vacuum cleaner. It is lightweight, powerful, no fuss. However, the battery life is short! Very short. The battery also just stops with no warning/low battery alarm, which makes it rather annoying when in the middle of a clean. The only option is to either charge up every time, or buy a backup battery (which is quite expensive).
A further concern is the relatively poor upright stability when in storage. I would suggest the vacuum is placed on a hook to prevent it slipping forwards and then smashing its dirt bin on the floor.
That said – it is a great vacuum. The car cleaning pack is useful as is the ability to break it down to clean stairs and other awkward places. The suction power is great, removing pet hair and the anti hair wrap brushes work as expected.
It is a good purchase – particularly at the price point I bought it at (273).

Love the hoover, all the attachments click on easy, manoeuvers really easily and folds down for storing, not a huge dust capacity but empties quickly so not a problem, great hoover.

For the last 20 years I have used Dyson hoovers. I needed a replacement but they are so expensive now and the Shark was on offer so I thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I did, what a great machine it is and with 2 hairy dogs it’s a god send. The only downfall is it is a little heavy.
Excellent cordless vacuum cleane
The Shark vac is powerful and has a boost switch. It is very manoeuvrable and goes under furniture easily, it also has useful tools. It is reasonably lightweight, though not as light as some, but has a long-lasting battery. It also has a 5-year guarantee.

This is my first cordless vacuum and after having been looking around for a while for a good deal I was very happy to pick this up for 190 on boxing days sales. Took a long time to arrive by Amazons standards though but when it finally did I was not disappointed. After having a big Dyson corded vacuum for the last 7 years this cordless one is so much nicer to use. The weight is fine, easy to move around and carry upstairs. Without the big attachments its easy to hold up to the ceiling and can go wherever the dust is. Only downside is that there’s no real stand or wall bracket to store which I know the Dyson cordless do have but other than that it’s suction power is comparable to a proper Dyson and I’m very happy.

This is definitely value for money. It has excellent suction, I have a cat so wanted it because of that. I have long hair and through the day a lot of ends up on the floor so the mo tangle brush works well for me.

The best ever vacuum
I wasn’t sure at first when I wanted a new vacuum, I had brought a dyson a few years before, I wasn’t pleased with the dyson cordless, I’ve always had dyson, but this time to I complained to dyson and they fobbed me off so I decided to get the shark. I’ve not regretted my decision.
Excellent vacuum
This vacuum is well worth the money, I bought it on offer for 188. I previously owned a Dyson V10 which died on me. The Shark knocks spots off my previous Dyson, firstly the battery life is more than twice that of the Dyson, the suction is much so much better as is the build quality, the overall performance is five star plus. After use it folds away neat and tidy. The only drawback is it’s fairly heavy but not a problem for me.
So-so
So, in my previous house I had a pet (Jack Russell so not the hairiest!). I had a corded Dyson. If that was still the case, this vacuum wouldn’t match up and I would have sent it back. I am now on my own in a teeny weeny place, one rug one carpet, no pets, and this is ok. It’s super convenient being cordless, fairly light, suction so-so, battery power not the best. But, if I was in a bigger house, with lots of carpet, and pets, this would be a firm no.

Handy cordless vacuum for a home has both hard and carpet floo
As a house with three floors, combined with hard and carpet floor surface. It is necessary to give up the corded vacuum forever. I have owned a Dyson v8 for over a year and it did a great job except for the small dust bin and less battery life when using powered-up mode. Then I decide to ‘upgrade’ it to this one.
It is powerful and the suction from my experience, normal mode can deal with most of the wide-open area without extra dirt or stains;
The flexible pipe works great for the place under the sofa and bed;
Dust bin is much bigger than Dyson and also easier to clean;
No hair wrapped up for 3-month usage (either human or animal hair);
Oh right, it is super quiet compared with Dysons;
The only cons point for me is the edge area, you need to switch the head to finish a proper cleaning to all the edge areas. I do not care about the way of charging for this model since you need to plug and unplug after every single use.
It stopped working
It was nice to handle, but it stopped working after six weeks.
Tried charging the battery for two days and it still did not charge.

This is a real review from meeee, I haven’t been paid to review or anything. I’ve had this item a good few months now. VERY happy with it. I’ve got long hair so the anti-hair-wrap is very useful. The fact that it’s cordless is great. It’s not too heavy. Small house, so I can hoover the whole house on one charge easily. Charges easily and quickly. Takes up hardly any room. Powerful suction. Good range of attachments. Works on hard floors and carpets. Very easy to empty. Light on the front so you can see where it’s going. Very bendy and manoeuvrable. I’m over the moon with it!!

Knocks spots off a Dyso
I ordered this battery powered vacuum cleaner from Amazon on an approval basis, because a similar product has turned out to be a great disappointment. Although not as lightweight as its very expensive but useless predecessor, it has a good sized motor, dust receptacle, and battery. In all respects it is far better in terms of functionality, suction and time before the battery requires a recharge. Suction cannot compete with our mains driven Vax, but it is adequate, given its weight, portability and functionality; and my wife is very happy with it too.
Won’t be returning to Dyso
After our 2nd Dyson started to yet again show short battery life retention, we wanted to try a different brand. The Shark battery is SIGNIFICANTLY better and the fact there is a battery gauge is brilliant to monitor. We know comfortably clean the house in 1 charge, where the Dyson had to be recharged half way through. The only gripe I have is that the maximum suction mode should just be the normal mode.. as that’s all we pretty much use. The standard suction doesn’t quite seem enough, but even on max suction, the battery works just fine. Folds up brilliantly to be stored in our show cupboard to.

I have used this everyday since I received it. So easy to use, the kids are using it in their rooms too. As a cordless the suction is not as good as my Dyson but it is ideal for a quick whip around the wooden floors.

Better suction than our upright Dyso
We bought this mainly for the stairs, awkward places and for a quick clean up when the grandchildren have been round. However it’s better than that and we tend to use on a daily basis! It has a good beat with the roller, the extra surge option is very good and makes you wonder where all that dust comes from. The only slight drawback is that on a thick carpet you have to find the best direction to push it even on warp factor one! Very versatile for carpets , stairs and the car.

My Dyson gave up the ghost ages ago and I’ve been brushing my hard floors and rugs since then. When I saw the 211 saving I could make by buying at Amazon, I decided “no more brushing”… For such a lightweight machine, the suction is astonishing and I wish I’d bought one sooner. A little machine with a lot of power.

Quick and easy to use, picks up more than you expected.
Suction doesn’t feel powerful to touch but it picks a lot of dirt up. Really light weight compared to my Miele and the battery life isn’t brilliant but you have to plan what is priority. I have a four bed house and can’t do it all in one go but that’s ok I I never want to.
The best cordless vaccume I have used
Got this product on sale for under 200 and I have to say I am extremely impressed with it. It has extremely good suction, has fantastic accessories for a number of uses and has a great battery. Compared to other cheaper alternatives, you can notice the difference. Would recommend to anyone who can afford it.

Super Suctio
Love my new Shark. Very versatile and can be used for getting into awkward places. Its very efficient at picking up and it truly does deal with hair (including pet hair) very efficiently. Its a lot quieter than my old vacuum and the Bonus is you don’t have to buy bags!

Very pleased with this, the suction is excellent but you also have the option of a boost button for those really difficult rugs, only gave it 4 for weight, not a huge problem for me but the hand held is heavier than I thought it would be but doesn’t distract from the job, the added brushes are very useful too
Shark stick vac
First foray down the stick vac and couldn’t/wouldn’t afford a Dyson. On the whole its ok, a little heavy but easy to maneuver. Glad it folds for storage but doesn’t have the suction of my corded upright Dyson. A full battery gets around my house (4 bed) no problem.

All round a great Vacuum Cleaner first switch in over twenty years and I'm impressed
So firstly In the last couple of years I have developed problems with my left arm so I was looking for a new Vacuum Cleaner, cordless, holds the charge, light weight, good suction and easy to use. For over Twenty years I have stayed with Dyson but have slowly become disappointed in there products the cost being too high and not performing to the standard you would expect from a premium Vacuum Cleaner.
When I saw this for a fraction of the cost for an equivalent Dyson I decided it was time to give it a try and I am so pleased I did. I live in a three bedroom semi so a modest size house and this holds its charge really well using a combination of full power and those head lights I love them its a novelty to not need to use your main room lights but the fact that its like saying to me hey thanks for the purchase now let me give you some energy savings. Obviously the lights were placed there for when you hoover underneath furniture another great easy to use function I might add.
So yes I am super pleased with this Vacuum Cleaner, super pleased with its features, ease of use and innovations so top marks all around and packed with plenty of tools It would be nice if they could design a flexible duster with softer bristles so you could do the table tops easier but that is my only critique of this wonderful machine.

Excellent Vacuum Cleane
Very good cleaner, does the job really well. My only concern is that it is not as lightweight as I would have liked, but as it does a good cleaning, don’t have to get it out so often.

Doethis hoover is amazing and powerful. This hoover has done a fantastic job on house and car and it is so easy to use and maneuver. Its not to heavy and the size is brill.

Very Good Vacuum
I have had similar Vax products in the past but this machine is in a different league. The suction is much better and the heads do not get wrapped in dog hair. Their customer service is also excellent. I would highly recommend.

This vacuum cleaner is amazing. I wish I’d purchased one sooner. I’ve got ocd and when it comes to cleaning I have issues. However, this vacuum cleaner alleviates any apprehension I have with missing articles, dust and cobwebs. Amazing
No cords. ,easy to move around furniture. Takes up less space in cupboard.

If using max power, holding the trigger constantly can really give your forearm a work out. It’s not necessarily heavy just that bit more awkward
So far it’s been an improvement over the dyson pet vacuum with suction power for sure. but will update if things change
Excellent buy
Excellent, good suction, easy to use. Haven’t had time to use all the attachments yet. But I’m sure there won’t be any problems. Had a dyson wand before, prefer this one, it has a bigger head on it therefore it gets the job done a lot quicker.
I’m just disappointed I didn’t buy one sooner…
I bought this on impulse during Black Friday sales.
I already had a non-branded cordless stick vacuum that cost about 90 that I was happy with, but this thing is so much better. I ran it over a ‘clean’ house and it pulled endless dust and dirt from the carpets.
Equally good on hard floors.
I wish I’d got it sooner. It’s brilliant.
Amazing hoover!
I had a 60 cordless hoover that did the job for a year or so but when moving to a new place it’s just wasn’t cutting it.
Bought this cordless shark hoover as I’m known for going over the wires and them being eaten up – thank goodness this doesn’t have a wire as the suction would’ve done the same!
All round amazing hoover. Thorough clean of 3 rooms and two full tank empties. Back on charge ready for its next cleaning adventure.
