Fantastic item. Have loved reviewing it.
This hoover is great. Genuinely. Because I’ve been so pleased reviewing it, I’ll start of with the negatives, as there are very few, and I don’t want them to sour an otherwise glowing opinion.
The first is trivial. It’s aesthetics, and personal taste. I wish that rose gold didn’t exist on this planet, and I certainly would never choose to have my toaster, kettle, TV OR hoover coloured like it. However, this was the only colour available to review, and so we (my partner says she also hates it) decided to give it a go anyway.
Secondly, and what I guess most people will argue against handheld battery vacuums. Suction. Ordinarily I use a Dyson DC25 Animal, and there’s no way that this Shark takes up the same volume of dirt – even visibly, much less the stuff that lurks in the fibres of your carpets.
With that aside, I want to explain why I think I am a total convert. The main point is simple. We haven’t used the Dyson since this arrived. Not once.
From the very beginning I was impressed. When you open the packaging you can actually see the level of effort that Shark have gone to to make this ecologically presented. There are ZERO plastic bags, polystyrene moulds, or cable ties. Everything is made of what appears to be fully recyclable materials. Even the way everything gets crammed into the box to make the footprint size of the package smaller is impressive. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to see a manufacturer who’d actually tried to think about their impact environmentally. So a HUGE thanks to them at Shark, and a big + on this review. It set off a great start.
From there, assembly is simple. Everything slots together nicely. You have three main sections – the main handle/motor section, which in theory is the most important, this is also where the batteries reside. Then you have the central section. Essentially a long shaft which would allow attachments if you were trying to hoover up high, and also connects to the last part, for floor cleaning. This is a traditional hoover head. I find it quick and easy to chop and change attachments depending on what I’m doing. We have cats, and find that their litter gets stuck/spread around their trays. So I use the main head to clean up the bulk areas, then whip it off to hoover against the skirting etc to grab any straggling pieces.
We live in a mid-sized three bed home, with a combination of carpet and Amtico hardfloors, so there’s been a good opportunity to test functionality on multiple surfaces. I find that the hoover head glides pretty effortlessly between the two. Both surfaces are impressively clean when you consider the convenience of the hoover itself vs wired traditionals.
When it comes to battery power, my partner came in saying she loved it, but was sad that the battery died after around 15-20mins. Then I told her there was a spare one in the stand that you use to store the hoover. This is well designed as you can charge it simultaneously to the main device. The way the hoover sits in the charging cradle is a little fiddly, you need to take the main head off. It also wouldn’t take much for it to fall over, so be careful leaving around dogs or children’s prying fingers!
The two batteries combined have proved to be more than enough to clean our house, however you may want to look into getting a third if you live in a bigger home. The device has a helpful indicator showing battery levels when in use. A tip though, avoid using the boost trigger unless you really need it. This is a trigger underneath the handle, and increases suction, but it will chew through the batteries with laughable speed!
Emptying is very simple, though might take a few uses to get used to (I kept opening it when trying to turn it on)! I notice the quantity of long hairs in the “bale” that comes out when emptied, this is shining testament to the anti-wrap technology they use on the floor head. My partner sheds hair like nothing I’ve ever seen, but the head still seems to be clear of them – this is MILES better than the Dyson, which seems to collect them wrapped for fun – a total nuisance to fix. They recommend cleaning the filters for the shark frequently. I’ve not actually gone further than taking the dust section apart and giving it a clean, so I’m not yet familiar with how big a job cleaning the filter is. Couldn’t possibly be harder than the Dyson.
Overall excellent. Hugely convenient to pick up and have a quick dash around if unexpected guests en-route. Vastly easier when hoovering the stairs, without having to lug the body of a corded around with you. Just very, very good. My partner also has commented several times how much she prefers it.
If I had this one in black, I’d be phoning Amazon and asking them to implement a 6th star! It has most likely been my favourite review item so far from Vine, and that concludes a glowing recommendation.
Shark Cordless vacuum cleane
I haven’t had the cleaner for long, but so far have been pleased with it. I don’t know what it’s like on stairs as I live on one floor. It is very light which is a plus for me – I often found my previous cleaner hard work.
Brilliant stick hoove
When I first saw this hoover I thought wow that’s expensive for a small stick portable hoover. However once it arrived I was immediately convinced it was worth it. The unboxing of this little machine showed me the hoover was up to sharks usual standards. The main brush while being heavier than I expected is solid and well made, nice and wide and far better than any stick hoover I’ve ever seen or used. The pole attachment quickly connected in place and I was even more surprised to find how easy it was to lock them together and separate them again. Finally the main hoover. Small and compact connected easily to the pole. Two button near the handle can quickly and easily disconnect this part too which is again very easy to do, these mechanisms alone show the quality of design and workmanship. Switching on the hoover I’ve found it far more powerful than any hand held hoover I’ve ever owned. Picks up dirt and dust so well, cat hairs too. Once you’ve finished take the hoover and hover over the bin. Push the release button and the hoover dustbin pops open dropping the dust straight to the bucket. No removing the dustbins or removing filters to get the dust out. Hit the button let it clean and close. Takes 2 seconds. If the filter does need cleaned it’s another simple click to remove it all. The hoover comes with a charging stand and a few other tools, crevice tool and multi surface tool. The whole hoover itself is heavier than most little hoovers but only with the big brush on which is worth the weight in my opinion. Without the brush head it’s weight is very reasonable and to be honest when the hoovers switched on and moving the weight is perfectly ok. The battery is tiny on this hoover. Last about 15 mins on normal mode, less if you hold the turbo button in but it doesn’t take long to charge and you wouldn’t use this as a main hoover, just one for cleaning the one room quickly or cleaning up a small area the kids have spilled dirt or something on. The hoover comes with a 2 year guarantee and given the very high level of quality I feel this is actually good value for money, compared to every other stock hoover I’ve had this is 100 times superior to them. Very happy with this hoover and would easily give it 6 stars if I could.
Shark wand cordless
Wanted a cordless with good reviews that was reasonably priced and so picked it.
So far it’s lived up to expectations and I love it!
Yes it needs emptied after every use and has a short runtime but to me, great suction, lightweight, easy battery change and brilliant for using as a handheld far out ways any downsides.
it also looks cool and has its own station so no issues with trying to prop it up in a corner!
Did I mention it has two batteries, stops charging when ‘full’ and is well made???
Well there you are…
Game change
Pros:
Cordless
Easy to assemble
Sleek design
Compact
Easy to empty
Easy to use on stairs
Can be used cordless in car
Great suction
Multi purpose
Cons : A full charge only last for 40 minutes
Love, love, love!
I absolutely love this Shark stick vacuum, it’s lightweight but still has brilliant suction. The charging base allows you to charge the battery on its own or charge it with the vacuum complete (it just hooks on), you even have room to store a spare battery. It comes complete with extra tools and a cap to put on the battery compartment if you’re removing the battery for charging. The suction seems to be as strong with the large floor brush, or with the full length without brush, as it is when you remove it to use as a mini vacuum. The dust compartment is small, as is the filter, but we haven’t had any issues with blockages – we do empty it regularly, and I suggest doing so over a bin as it opens right up. It has easy releases to remove the top part and pipe and great rotation on the floor brush.
The vacuum also has a boost function, we haven’t really needed to use it as the the suction is excellent. I was really surprised how powerful this is with the floor brush, I’ve stopped using my larger stick vacuum (also Shark) as I get the same performance but this is easier for me to manage as it’s so light. The battery only lasts around 15 minutes but we always put it back on charge so it’s always ready for me to use. I wanted a lightweight stick vacuum for cobwebs on the ceiling (I have fibromyalgia/arthritis) and this is manageable for me. I’m able to use this daily for general vacuuming now too, something I wasn’t able to do myself with our heavier vacuums.
This stick vacuum is currently 179.99 so it’s competitively price. It’s the cheapest of my 3 sharks (I also have the lift away and a long lasting cordless stick with large dust compartment) and it suits me perfectly. My husband and son use the other ones for general cleaning but they do use this for quick clean up too. Most of all I like having one I can actually use myself.
Excelle
I absolutely love this. I currently have a corded shark but this cordless version is amazing. One full charge was enough to clean the full downstairs area or a full upstairs. It’s so light and easy to use. The collection chamber is small but that wasn’t a big deal to me. It’s great to use in the car as a handheld. Suction power is great and a charge lasts around 16 minutes. Highly recommended.
This is a fantastic cordless hoover. It’s really lightweight with a slim profile and it is easy to maneuver. The suction power is excellent and the battery lasts ages. Really impressed with this compact hoover.
Powerful cordless hoove

We bought this cleaner to be a complement to a Dyson V10 as both my wife and I suffer with easily strained wrists which usually happens due to handling heavy objects such as many vacuum cleaners are.
So we have reviewed it from this perspective.
It is probably the lightest of the cleaners we have ever tested or used. It is certainly lighter than the V10.
It has a very good suction and the power head works well to complement this making it good at what it does. We have two very hairy cats and it does a good job of picking up their hair even when you can’t see it on the floor.
First negative I can see for some is the very small dust collection chamber. However, the cleaner certainly packs the dirt in and it is easily emptied. This also makes the cleaner easier to use due to it’s reduced mass. As a consequence we use it more than we anticipated when we purchased it.
Second negative. The charging. I like the fact it can be charged in the stand and that a second battery can be charged at the same time in the stand. However, I don’t like that you can’t charge it free standing if you want to as the plug doesn’t fit. This wasn’t a big issue for us but I could see how it might be for some.
This review is from the standpoint of owning and using one now for several months in a three bed house with three adults and two cats
Great design and look, small battery however and tiny dust/dirt compartme
There is lots to say positive about this cordless vacuum cleaner but didn’t lack some of bad designs too.
It is worths to start with general look, because this vacuum is beautiful. Slim, stylish, nice gold color. Definitely can be part of house accessory when left anywhere. Big advantage of this Shark WandVac vacuum is definitely lightweight as well size since it is very small vacuum which also brings one downside as well. Very easy to manoeuvre between furnitures, very agile and since it is very light it is no problem to lift it up to clean under ceiling for longer period of time without pain in hand. Suction power is enough for both laminate and thinner carpets however on carpet took me a bit longer to pull all dirt and hair. I rather hesitate to use turbo speed because it does drain battery like crazy and it wouldn’t probably last even a 7minutes. So for this size vacuum suction is ok for me.
Some negatives. Due to it’s size there must have been some compromises. Unfortunately it affects quite important parts for me which is battery and dust/dirt compartment. Both are small unless you don’t use vacuum for longer than 14-16 minutes. That is right, battery on normal speed only last in my case between 14 minutes and 16 minutes. It is probably not enough if you leaving hoovering on end of week and usually do whole house in one go. This vacuum is simply to use in one or 2 room on end of the day every day. Just gently pick up what you left on that they. There is no way you can do whole house in one charge with single battery. I get the idea, keep cleaning more ofter. Then even dust compartment is ok-ish since there won’t be that much to fill whole. Emptying it is easy but i noticed it does involve you to physically grab for them hairs, and other stuff with hand to take it from filter. After pressing button it ejecting hatch but rubbish stays there. Not big deal but was hoping I won’t need to touch it.
Depending on which model you are buying, in gold you have only 1 battery and 3 different replaceable heads with charging stand. Seems like pretty good deal but i missing end for stairs since none of the heads included doesn’t fit purpose for stairs.
Price wise it is for individual to calculate, i can justify spending 200 for this and genuinely believe it is worth that much since lots of technology and design been involved in this.
Overall ,lightweight and although run by battery it's suction is very good
I love the idea off a second battery charging whilst using the first. Ideal for stairs being so light and works just as well on hard floors as it does on carpet. Good buy.
Brilliant and light weigh
Easy to assemble. This is very light to use, easy to carry up and downstairs and takes little room up and it’s not in use. The battery life is short at only 15 minutes so I can’t whizz around the whole house in one cleaning session but what it cleans is well done. I like that I can use it on the furniture too especially with a dog snd grandchildren. It is versatile, cleans under the sofa and down the sides of the TV.
I like that there isn’t cables that restrict where I am vacuuming. I used to be terrible for vacuuming over the electric cable on other cleaners. You do need to empty this every time you use t but that is such a simple process and just becomes part of the routine. It is so much easier to get this out to give a quick tidy than a dust pan and brush.
Useful but pricey for a second cleane
This Shark cleaner is well-made and easy to use, but you couldn’t really make it the main piece of equipment for vacuuming your home. Why? Well, the crazily small dust collector that sits on the handle fills rapidly, battery life is only 16 minutes, and the suction power, no matter what the claims of the manufacturer are, comes nowhere close to any Dyson cleaner I’ve tried. On the plus side, the anti-tangle brushes work well and saves time cleaning hair etc from those after you’ve used it. The wand cleaner charges on a neat base unit, and you can separate the handle, making the hand-held top part very convenient for using on stairs, in the car, or on furniture. It’s pricey for sure, and those looking for a compact lightweight second cleaner may well find something cheaper and just as effective from another make. Equipped with a couple of useful add on cleaning tools. Watch out if you do go for this – the battery charger cable plug is tucked away deep in the over-the-top packaging and is easily missed when unpacking it all. Almost threw it out!

Highly recommend
This is a great Vacuum with two batteries and three extra heads . I was shocked at how much Cat hair it picked up because I had just vacuumed a few days before. It’s well made and easy to push .You can go from carpet to hard floor without a problem which is nice . I also like the dust compartment with the open button so you don’t have to dismatle half the vacuum to get it out. Great for the price and fast delivery .
I love it being so lightweight and easy to carry around. I have two flights of stairs and find that I can finish one floor, put it back on to charge while I finish and it’s ready to carry on to the next floor, cleaning the stairs as I go. After lugging around a Henry for twenty years, this is a dream. As a plus, I looked after my daughter’s cats for a year, about six years ago, thought I’d got rid of all the cat hair but the first few times I used my Shark, the container was full of cat hair!!!I
I loved my Henry, but at age 71, I needed something lighter, this Shark ticks all the boxes of what I needed a vacuum cleaner to be.!
What I liked: cordless, rechargeable, easy to grab and use for zooming around the floors like a normal hoover. And using as a handheld. Excellent attachment for using on stairs as a handheld. Also gets into a lot of narrow gaps between bed and unit etc. Also comes with a brush attachment for dried mud on mats. Works well on wooden floors as well as carpet and door mats. Ideal for carrying out to the car to use as well as the home. The instructions were a bit confusing in areas and lacking extra information. By trial and error, I believe I have sussed the charging method now. At first I tried to charge it and it only charged part way through. I didn’t realise the light on the base lights up when the cleaner isn’t connected properly in the dock. So the dog must have knocked it whilst having a nose at it? Anyway, if the light pops on it’s not charging. But the light on the cleaner must be pulsing. The more charged up, then the next light starts pulsing and so on. The spare battery in the docking station does not charge. Looks like connections in it to charge. But I’ve tried everything and it’s just a storage compartment. Which is what the manual is stating as well. I really like the two batteries. But ideally would like to be able to charge one up separately, whilst being able to use the other in the cleaner. So if the docking station could charge a battery as well in that storage compartment it would have been the icing on the cake so to speak. I would also have liked to see a light on the bottom of the main cleaner head. They are ideal to use on wooden floors in the dark. My type of floor can look clean but once a cleaner light is on in the dark. Then you can really see that clean floor actually has fine dust and dog hairs on. The battery life is enough to do the whole of my large flat quickly. And still have enough charge to pop up my mothers to clean her carpeted stairs with. I don’t have to take the whole cleaner with me, but just the hand held part and the stair attachment. It’s light weight to carry to her home and bring back again. Plus I can take the spare fully charged battery with me if needed. I also like the beater roller bar inside the head units. My long hair isn’t getting tangled around it so far. A few months of usage will be the best time to tell on that though. As that is the amount of time I usually end up having to remove it all from my other standard cleaners that have the brush type version. Didn’t take long to get use to the wand handle over conventional loop handle type. My arm some days does get a bit achy from grabbing hold of it on longer uses. The whole cleaner doesn’t stand up on its own unless the battery weight is taken out of the top. Or handle part is removed. All stands up fine on the docking station though. The dust canister is easy to empty over a large bin liner. As the spring action opens it very quickly and quite wide. Takes some getting use to where all the buttons are and not accidentally open the dust compartment by mistake lol. I personally am not too keen on the colour of the Shark cleaner. I would have preferred it to be a more neutral silver and black rubber detail in the main hoover head. The blue doesn’t go with any of my decor and looks cheap along with the yellow rubber in the main hoover head, that sticks out like a sore thumb. But it is a good hoover. My elderly mother has been able to use it as well. It would also suit her very well, being out ready in the docking station. So in fairness. A lot of my niggles are down to the way I want it to look to fit into my home. Where from an older generations perspective; this is an ideal light weight easy to use cleaner with good suction on it, and easy to empty. The base cleaner head is the heaviest part on it. But you only need to lift it for docking, which my elderly mother can do easily with both hands. Me it’s no problem with one hand. Lastly as per demonstrated in my video attachment. Like a lot of these cordless cleaners I find. It does not clean when pulling it backwards. It just pushes the dirt back. So you have to bare that in mind when cleaning. So forward motion and and pull back where you have already cleaned, then push forward over the dirty next area. The cleaner had no problem sucking up the pieces of paper I showed in the video and done a grand job of lifting the fine dust off my wooden floors. It’s a bit noisier than most cordless cleaners I have used. But is still quieter than a conventional plug in hoover. Overall a good handy cleaner to have.
Wonderful, fabulous and the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had!!

Must have i
Im really satisfied with this vacuum cleaner.
So great and powerfull.
Suit perfectly for dog hairs.
Comes with the 2 batteries which can be charged at the same time.
I love the stand its comes with, so Im always sure that vacuum will not fell down while charging.
All good with the battery life. One battery enought to vacuum 1 floor with 3 rooms, corridor and stairs. So 2 batteries is enough to vacuum 2-3 floor house.
Its very lightweight, that what I was needed, so easily an vacuum stairs.
Also package contains brush to vacuum sofas.
Overall, Im very happy with how this vacuum cleaner works.
So surely can recommend it to all.
It’s lightweight. It’s neat. It breaks down into a hand held vac or a wand vac. Suction is A1. I get about 20 minutes full on cleaning from the battery then just change them over.
What DON’T I like?
The on/off button is directly above the dustbin release button, which also acts as the boost button. Yes, you’ve guessed it. I keep emptying the bin in the middle of the carpet. Rather a stupid design I think. Come on Shark. You get everything else right, let yourself down on this point.
Once the 2 batteries are exhausted it’s 3+ hours before they’re ready for another round of cleaning.
But apart from that I’m delighted. Much better than my old GTech and the horrendous Hoover battery vac I bought a year ago.
Lightweight and convenie
I really like this; it’s powerful, and easy to handle and use. However, the lightweight battery means it will only last about a quarter of an hour of use before needing a recharge.
It’s very smart-looking on its charging base and the build quality is excellent. I’m happy with the suction power for such a small unit, especially while the ‘turbo’ button on the underside is pressed. Although the dust container is small, it flips open to empty very quickly, and because the suction of the thing compresses the waste together, it fits in more than expected.
Because of the short battery life, it’s not suitable for cleaning the entirety of a house – but I don’t think the expectation is that it will. It’s so lightweight it’s a breeze to use for cleaning the stairs and getting round corners – as well as convenient to grab for minor spills or kitchen crumbs. For minor jobs (or if you live in a studio or a one-bed place) it’s fantastic.

Easy to operate, easy to change attachment's.
We are only two elderly people and have been using it for general cleaning
all over our 4-bedrioms house. 40% of the floor is laminated and the rest is carpeted. My wife and I, we both share the art of cleaning our house weekly. Light weight, easy to glide clean all surfaces. The second battery is very useful. One battery last approximately 15 mins while the second is ready to be used when required.
Very happy with over all and all-round performance.
Small enough to keep in a room without taking up too much space
This Shark wandvac is a pretty light cordless handheld which comes with a a crevice, multi surface and broad head set of tools
Now when you get it, you really don’t need the instructions to put it together as everything just slots and hey presto you’ve got the vac ready to go
It then fits onto the charging base and that’s it
I will say that I did have a quick play with it with the small amount of charge it actually came with.
After all who doesn’t want to switch their new tech ones soon as you get it home?
Actually it was lucky the dust collector was empty as the button to open that is straight under the power switch and I accidentally slid that into open and the dust lid popped open. Will know not to do that after it’s been used
Once I actually set it onto charge for the 3+ hrs I tried it again and found it does pick up all the bits of fluff and dust from both carpets and hard floors.
But the charging level indicator went down pretty quickly. I then read the instruction booklet and found out you’re going to be getting a max of 16mins per charge
I’d say this is more like something you use to sweep up the occasional spillage and keep things clean between using the main vacuum cleaner.
Unless you can somehow manage to clean the entire house in 12-16 mins that is
The dust collector is pretty small too which reinforces the idea this is meant for light use but it does come with a good amount of suction
Final point is that the anti hair wrap technology should stop all those long pet/human hairs from clogging the head up as it uses flexible fins instead of bristles

Lightweight Yet Powerful
I already own a Shark corded vacuum cleaner and am mightily impressed with its cleaning power but find it rather heavy across carpets and being corded not so flexible as a cordless vacuum cleaner. So trying out this Shark Wandvac System Cordless Handheld Vacuum WV362BLUKT I am very impressed with it too though it is a different type of machine and it is unfair to compare a regular vacuum to a cordless wand one.
On arrival I was impressed by how carefully everything was packaged in cardboard and paper, no plastic waste at all. The pieces easily fit together and look very well made. There are 3 pieces to click together plus a recharging stand with a 3-pin plug, the included instructions are very clear and illustrated, probably the easiest I’ve read in a long time. The top part is also a handheld vacuum cleaner and can be used with the 3 accessories as well as the end of the wand part. There is a main large cleaning head with an anti hair wrap brush roll inside that works brilliantly with long hair and pet hair (I have long waist length hair and a black cat and dog on beige carpets). There’s definitely much less hair on the roller, though it does get on there eventually, but keep use scissors to cut across the rolled hair to remove it easily. The accessories are;
A smaller motorised pet tool
A crevice tool
A multi surface tool (the brush part comes off)
And two batteries (one is already charged in the top of the vacuum cleaner).
It’s very lightweight to use and the wand handle is very flexible to go easily under furniture like coffee tables or footed sofas. It doesn’t have a light like it’s big brother, but I don’t mind as this vacuum whizzes round easily and picks up into the edges and corners. It’s fairly quiet, though the heads with the rollers in are quite noisy, the handheld vacuum is quieter without them. It cleans the stair carpet well though the tools aren’t flexible like the main head, but the angle seems ergonomically good.
The battery lasted just over 15 minutes, it turned itself off but it was easy to pull out the battery from the top and pop in the charged one from the recharging station. When finished just put the vacuum cleaner back onto the recharging station and the one in handle will recharge too along with the other one on the station. Once they have charged up they do not continue to draw electricity but store the charge until needed. It takes 3 1/2 hours for a full charge.
The vacuum has a boost button on the back of the handle you hold for an extra bit of oomph a bit like holding a cold shot button on a hairdryer. It’s very effective on stubborn fluff. The wand can be used for reaching curtains and cobwebs around coving and in corners and lights. The handheld vacuum cleaner is perfect for sofas and the car interior, especially using the crevice tool for picking up those pesky crumbs down the edges and dirt in the footwells in the car. It has more power than any handheld I’ve used before.
It’s very simple to use too. Cleaning it is easy, there’s a push down switch under the power button to open the dust cup. It swings open, so hold it over the bin and the dust and fluff will fall out easily and cleanly. A quick wipe inside with a kitchen paper keeps it dust free. Cleaning the filter is very straightforward too, as are the floor nozzles and heads.
I am genuinely very impressed with this new vacuum cleaner from Shark, the light metallic blue is lovely, the design is sleek and stylish and above all, it functions very well as a handy vacuum cleaner that’s lightweight and convenient as it’s cordless. Shark offer an excellent 5 year guarantee which gives me peace of mind they’re confident in their product. Please see my photos, I hope my honest review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.
Love it!
Its a very convenient device for running over the floor tidying up the everyday bits a family create. The suction isn’t as good as a hoover but it’s more than enough to make the house tidy. I love it and would recommend if you are after a lightweight, easy accessible handheld device! Don’t know why I haven’t had one before!
A winner in my home!
I’m so impressed with this baby shark! Great to use throughout the house for a quick vacuum. It’s so lightweight, suction is really good and various handy tools for different jobs included. I really like that when the 1st battery pack goes flat you simply pop it out from the handle and replace with the second. Both battery packs then charge together on the charging base. Easy to use and great results, highly recommended.
Lightweight and cordless
Bought this for my daughter as I have one. She is really pleased. Lightweight, cordless not used it for stairs yet. So handy for a quick clean saves the heavyweight vacuum.
Ideal for a quick blitz around more often than a full on drawn out clean with the old cleaner.
First of all,the packaging was all recyclable, with no plastic at all which is impressive. The instructions are very clear, but if you don’t read them first, you end up with dust all over your feet by pressing the wrong button. The unit is very light, and with the detachable tube and attachments,it’s very useful.
I definitely recommend this cleaner.
Bought for my elderly mother.
Very lightweight easy to use for my 90 year old mum, the only issue for her was it was difficult to empty, the contents kept ending up on the floor.
Would love someone to get in touch to explain an easier way of emptying.
The Shark Wandvac is an excellent handheld vacuum that has great suction power, is very lightweight even with all attachments, but poor battery life. The floor “dock” for the product is a cool addition and sits nicely in our cupboard, has space for an extra battery, however batteries are only available at the manufacturer’s website and are priced at about 70 each, about half of the whole vacuum.
It has around 12 minutes, which is enough to do a couple of rooms fairly thoroughly; in my 3 bedroom house this equates to about a floor per charge.
Great little cordless vacuum cleaner, but the battery life leaves much to be desired

Great wee vac.
This is a great wee tool So handy with my dog who needs to bring sticks and leaves in the house daily.
Charges quickly, but doesn’t last long. But one battery does my two bed flat quickly. Two batteries for doing the car.
Note, this is not a replacement for your main hoover. It’s an add on for speed and short jobs. As long as you are buying it with that in mind. You will not be disappointed.
Better than rivals for car cleaning
I had never tried Shark before. We have had Dyson and GTech, both over rated in my opinion, and several others.
The Shark handheld actually picked up dirt and hairs in the car. I have never had a hand held/ battery vaccuum cleaner that would do that. Much better than the GTech Multi in my experience.
The add-on sweeper brush attachment was a great bonus for an extra 30 or so. This seems to be as good as the GTech Air Ram and cheaper BUT the dust reservoir is much smaller.
I would say this is a good second vac for stairs, cobwebs on curtain tops, etc and the car; plus the occasional quick whizz round the kitchen to pick up crumbs.
Based on this I will definitely consider a Shark Upright when we get fed up lugging the Dyson around.
Love this!
Just taken delivery of my new shark today after getting fed up of lugging our old corded vacuum up and down the stairs. I’m not much of a reviewer normally but having heavily relied on them to chose my model thought i would leave some feedback. Firstly it took 5 minutes to assemble which was great, takes a few hours to charge then was really impressed – it’s light and easy to manoeuvre as the head swivels, it seems to pick up bits close to the skirting and brilliantly folds flat to get under sofa etc. Seems quite powerful and good on either hard floors or carpets, the hand held is so easy to clip off if you need to use it to get in little spaces and handy for stairs etc. Some people have said chamber fills up quick which it does but so easy to empty with just to press of a button so really no issue. Have never had a ‘stick; vacuum before so cant compare to others but for its price this is brilliant and almost makes hoovering a pleasure – almost 🙂
My favourite vacuum
Love this vacuum, so light and easy to use, it’s just so handy to do a quick clean, the suction is really good, use it in the car and caravan also, battery life is plenty long enough for me, handy having a extra battery. Love it.
Best vacuum cleaner I have used!
Best buy I have made in ages and also works wonders cleaning up grass and fur of my house bunnies!
Definitely need two batteries and the dust cup is very small but actually fits more than expected given the size.
Definitely recommend!
Best purchase for a long time
We bought this to replace a larger hoover which though working well was too heavy for my wife. We are so pleased this has been one of our best ever purchases from Amazon and have no hesitation to recommend
Perfect for a quick tidy up
Already have a Henry for serious vacuuming around the whole house. This little Shark vacuum is perfect for a quick run round the kitchen l, dining room and lounge to pick up crumbs , dust, etc before guests arrive. It’s ultra lightweight so easy to use. Solid good quality plastics so feels sturdy. The dust collector is small but it’s plenty big enough to do the whole ground floor of our house. It’s also easy to empty. It’s much easier to use than our old Dyson cordless. Definitely recommended.
I have physical disabilities, spine and shoulders, so find vacuuming very difficult. I chose the pet version with 2 batteries and the extra tool. Iwas dubious about buying a cordless vac but am so glad I did. Okay, the suction isn’t the greatest, the battery only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes and it does not go right up to the skirting boards… BUT. It is very lightweight, it does a very acceptable job at cleaning my floors and the attachments reach places I usually can’t reach without help. The big attachment really is the best for not getting hair stuck in the brushes. Instead of having to wait for people to come and help I can now vacuum the high traffic areas every day. Which makes me very happy. All the attachments are useful, as is the ability to use it as a handheld. Emptying the dust thingy is sooo easy and I reckon the filter will last for ages with regular cleaning. I probably still need my big vacuum for major cleans but someone else can help me with those. And I won’t be ashamed of my carpets when they arrive anymore.
Fantastic Versatile uni
Was sceptical at first to be fair, Have 3 active springer spaniels & wanted a hoover for a quick daily clean, This little unit is a proper game changer if battery lasted a bit longer i think henry might be retiring, However saying that with the 2 batterys always fully charged & always ready would cope. More than happy this hides away perfectly with the charging station. Perfect thank you
I like this product because it’s light to move around , suction power is good for every Day light hoovering, but the main reason I purchased it is because my hair was getting caught up in all my other hoovers but not this one , I’ve used it several times and still no hairs trapped so 10/10 fir that. Overall an excellent buy
This vacuum is so versatile;light, easy to operate, empty and charge. Definitely needs the two batteries as it runs out on one after doing 9 by 9 and my stairs – on regular suction, not even turbo. Fantastic docking station which charges both batteries. Downside – very tiny collection chamber which is full after 5/6 mins but at least emptying to carry on is very speedy. I haven’t used my Hetty since buying this. I got it as I had an arthritic wrist and was fed up with dragging my old hoover. This is light and effortless – actually enjoyable! Great for stairs, noons and crannies, cobwebs, carpet, lino and laminate. The tools are perfect. It shows you when charging is at certain levels and cuts off when fully charged. Dump whatever you’ve got and go for it. I wish I’d got one ages ago. Very easy to whizz round and be done.

I have the Shark Anti Hair Wrap Upright Vacuum Cleaner. That model is great, but oh so heavy! I felt lethargic, whenever I needed to vacuum upstairs rooms and the stair case itself. Then I thought why not try this model. After much research, I found this on Amazon, at a discount. This was a good deal, as it comes with 2 batteries. I am now very happy to vacuum my upstairs rooms and the staircase! The batteries last about 15 minutes each when fully charged, which is enough time to take the vacuum around, because it is so light. When the battery runs down, simply pop the backup battery onto the vacuum and you can continue on your way. Put the other one on charge. It was also very simple to put together, about 3 main parts. The accessories are useful add ons. I have this one stored upstairs mainly, so I can just plug in and go. I like to hoover my floors before moping. This is perfect for that, as opposed to using the heavier one. I have wooden floors, so wish I had seen this before the heavier one I have. But if you have carpets, you have carpets the heavier one would still be a good investment. I don’t regret the heavier one, because the suction is sooo good. It’s just so heavy and stressful, at times! This is handy and nippy, when you’re not in the mood!
Great vacuum cleane
Absolutely love this vacuum. The suction is good and the waste is quick & easy to empty.
Only 2 issues. Firstly, the button to release the waste is right next to the power button. This has resulted in a few unfortunately timed emptyings! Secondly, you can only charge the batteries by plugging them into the base unit. I would have liked an option to charge the batteries via a charging cable when I tidy away the base storage platform.
Light weight perfect for daily clea
So I love this I hate plugging hoover in so this is perfect. If you just using to keep on top of your daily hoovering it’s perfect. Not so much for quite firstly areas as it’s a cordless after all but it looks good and does what we need
This is a brilliant lightweight vacuum cleaner. Very impressed with the suction power and twin battery is a bonus. Anti hair wrap is another impressive function. I have used this product for 2 months but nothing to complain and recommend this product. Only small comment is that I wish if there were small compartments within the stand to put all small accessories together.
Good little vac as we have mosty wooden floors at home only carpet is the stairs and a few scattered rugs. Wife whizzes around the house in about 15 to 20 minutes and just about managed that with one battery. We have two so one back up always on charge in the base unit. Against it is you can’t fold it away or hang it on the wall so she hides ours behind the curtain in our front room. If you are looking for a back up vacuum to do a quick zip around the house I recommend the Shark Wanda vac, if you have lots of thick pile carpets I would suggest a mains corded vacuum Shark have a range to choose from, but whatever don’t buy a Dyson they are overpriced and overrated cheap plastic rubbish.
Easy to assemble, love the charging plate/stand
Very good suction, lightweight and easy to use the tools supplied. Love the fact that it can be stored on charging plate and no need to attach it to a wall so it stands upright.
Brilliant - absolutely love i
This feels really good quality and although lightweight for a vacuum cleaner not at all flimsy. The pieces click together and unclick really easily, it charges on its stand, and has an extra battery. The absolute best thing though is the way the dust cup flips open and ejects whatever is in there without you having to touch it. Perfect if you use it for spiders! Would not be without it – a million times better than my cordless vax
Anti hair wrap is life change
I had mixed expectations for this vaccumm before using as due to the price and brand but happy to say I was more than pleased with its performance. It is lightweight but I don’t feel it loses any of the suction power because of this. It seperate into two parts easily just by pressing the two side buttons so you can use it as a normal vac or a handheld one with the included accessories. Being able to use it as a handheld Vacumm also makes emptying it easy and mess free.
Whilst using as a main vac it has two useful features which are the turbo mode (a small button on the handle, you can hold down for an extra boost in suction if you need) and the anti hair wrap which really works and saves me a lot of time unclogging the roller.
Battery life lasts about 40 minutes to an hour and you can choose charge either by plugging straight into the vaccum or using the charging dock base/accessory holder included if you have the room for it.
Great Product!!!!
Let me just start by saying that I received this product free of charge as a promotion.
The new Shark Wandvac is overall a well-built lightweight battery powered cordless vacuum.
After using this for a just under week it has performed as well as a corded vacuum cleaner overall in my opinion.
It has a powerful suction and brush head and is quite capable of tackling small to large particles with ease. With the power boost button option it can give you a bit more suctions where required. I live with 3 women and hair has always clogged up our other vacuum brush rollers, I can confirm that there isn’t a single strand of hair so far. Over time that may differ but in comparison it does what it states so far.
Due to the lightweight design and flex in motorized head this can be maneuvered very easily throughout the home. Some other similar brand vacuums are heavy and bulky.
It can also be laid flat for hard to reach areas where permitted. (e.g under sofas, tables, units etc).
When tackling lighter cleaning you can detach the brush head and the wand to have it as a pure hand held vacuum and attach the tools included tool – (Crevice tool and Pet Multi Tool).
This is very lightweight and with superior suction it makes short work of the more awkward areas where the brush cannot reach. For harder to reach areas you can re-attach the wand for further length with the attachments.
It has a handy stand/charging station which Is pretty convenient when you put it away, one downside is that there is no storage on the station for the pet tool, but there is a stand for the crevice tool. Would have been nice to have location for both.
I am a bit disappointed with the battery life, it is quoted to last up to 16 minutes. I can confirm the following:
Using as floor cleaner with motorized brush head running it will last approx. 12 minutes.
Using without motorized brush head and pure hand held mode you will reach the quote 16 minutes. You do have the option to buy and additional battery at a price of 69.99, this would be beneficial if you want additional run time and do a longer clean if you have a bigger property, at an additional cost bare in mind.
One other annoying point is that the rubbish dispenser on the back of the hand unit is small and can be a bit cumbersome to empty. You have to flick a switch on the front of the hand unit and the back flips dispenser flips down, you have to make sure it is over a bag or bin and at the right angle/position for it to dispense, else it goes everywhere. However after the first couple of attempts it is no big deal. Could of just had a slightly better design.
Overall if you are looking to buy this product then you should be under no illusions that this will replace your everyday full house clean vacuum cleaner. This has been designed as stated from website description : “Quickly remove crumbs, dust, debris and pet hair from floors with the Anti Hair Wrap floorhead, perfect for unexpected messes.”.
In this case this product performs exceptionally well for the smaller unexpected cleaning jobs around the home.
I would recommend this product if you are looking for something lightweight/ versatile/ easy to use for the smaller jobs around the home. If you are looking to replace your everyday larger vacuum then I think this product is not the one for you. For me a great impressive all round product and does what It has been designed to do exceptionally well.

Good light-weight cordless
I ordered this vacuum cleaner on behalf of my cousin — he is the one using it so my knowledge is limited. However, he demonstrated it to me and I could see that that the suction is good and it is easy to empty. I cannot really comment about the run time but it was very good to be able to buy a model with a second battery.
Light and very good quality
Is very good this cordless vacuum, is light, small, the suction power is good in carpet floor, the battery is almost 20 mints, easy to use, you can separate the parts and make a mini hoover for clean the car or the stairs
Lightweight easy to manoeuvre!
The dual battery option that I purchased means you can extend your running time to just over 30 minutes ,( changing battery after about 16 minutes) which is just about enough to finish a two bedroom bungalow.
great item, but brought from amazon warehouse, and item was damaged.
I bought this mainly because it is lightweight, as I can no longer, after surgery lift anything too heavy and this is perfect. Very happy with it, I use one of the attachments to dust and find it helpful with great suction. The only downside is to do a thorough clean you would need to buy an extra battery, which is available as the run time is not very long. Would have preferred to have this included in the price for this one; still I would recommend, as hoovering is no longer the dreaded chore.

This was the perfect vacuum cleaner to get for my elderly mother, it’s compact lightweight and easy to use. It certainly does the job and its cleaning is very good although not as good as the comparable Dyson which costs more. Also the battery time is less than that of the Dyson and the capacity is significantly less, although so far that hasn’t been an issue. Where it stands head and shoulders above the Dyson is the fact that it comes with two batteries which can easily be swapped over. A great choice if you want lightweight and ease of use.
Amazing lightweight hoove
The hoover is really easy to maneuver, great for every day use.
Easy to handle
We liked the convenience, easy to use on carpet and laminate flooring, battery time a bit short but depends on how much you have to use i
I just love it! Exactly what is needed for my tiny flat! It took me four months to find the right vacuum but it’s worth the wait! Super happy! Lovely design, exceptionally light weight and very powerful suction. I could not recommend it more!

Honest review
The hoover it’s self is perfect for light weight, surprisingly good. The look is very nice and is easy to assemble. I have bought this for my elderly and gran and she loves it. Highly recommend the Shark hand held hoovers.
Awesome vacuum cleane
An amazing piece, like it! Recommended 100%!
It’s coming packed very well, even the original box it’s placed in another box so absolutely everything is coming very safe.
The device itself is not too difficult to assemble, however the users manual should be consulted otherwise it may take much more time to put it together.
First thing I liked about it – how’s the stand designed – you don’t have to hang it on the wall or to lean it against a wall or something – it can be left to literally stand and charge on its platform and that’s just awesome.
Another thing – the bottom part where the brush and everything is – quite impressive – big and working absolutely great. It can cover a good part of the cleaned surface and suck the dust and rubbish from the floor very well.
It’s easy enough to handle it, the rollers are working very well and it’s nearly like playing with it while cleaning. Because of the chunky brush part, it may be a bit difficult cu clean stairs as you have to lift it every time after each stair but it’s still ok, for plain surfaces it’s fantastic. Even though, if used without the brush, to clean the car or some narrow spaces, it is super light and comfortable to use.
Also, the container with the collected rubbish seems to be a bit small, compared to other cordless vacuum cleaner I used to have, but it doesn’t take a lot of effort to clean it oftener.
Otherwise, this one is absolutely great vacuum cleaner, even though there are some small issues that may not necessarily influence the overall experience, I love it, 5 stars it’s a fair rating for it – good price, fine quality and doing the job very good the third month already.

Quite powerful for a hand held vacuum cleane
I am quite impressed with this hand held vacuum cleaner. Usually you don’t get a powerful vacuum experience out of a cordless unit but this is very powerful. I am impressed! Picks up very easily and is easy to handle, you can reach spots without problem. The main brush is big and has a very interesting mechanism that rotates when you turn the unit on, so it picks even better. The narrow head is very good and gets in the smallest places. The small brush does not impress me. It picks very little and you have to go over and over again over the same spot.
The disappointing part is the battery which doesn’t last too long. We could only clean two rooms before it ran out.
Being hand held means it has a small container as well that needs emptying after every cleaning which is easy to do. We have kids and use this mostly after every meal to clean around their table, and we are satisfied with that as it doesn’t require to much time. You just take it from its charging station and put it back once you finished, which is less time consuming that the corded one.
Overall very impressed with it, it doesn’t take to much space, charges fast and cleans well. The reason for one star removed is the short battery life and the small brush not doing a great job.

This is my first cordless vacuum cleaner. I’ve got to say I’m very impressed with it.
I did have a few mishaps where I pulled the wrong button and all the dirt I’d hoovered up fell on the floor. I’m now more cautious lol
Now that I’ve got the negative out of the way I’ll now tell you how much I love this hoover. This vac comes with a storage base that doubles up as a charger for the vac. The hoover standing on the stand isn’t too bulky.. as I use our conservatory the most I keep it in here and it’s not obtrusive. This is a nice light vac so it’s easy to just grab and hoover and spillages
Once charged you don’t get very much hoover time but personally I’m okay with this. I usually clean room by room and then hoover each room before I move onto the next so this way it gives the vac time to recharge.
My partner has used this to vacuum his car and had no problem with it.
Different heads included allows you to hoover stairs etc without any problems.
I am very happy with this handheld vacuum cleaner.

Great hoover.
Great value for a cordless hoover as well as being a shark one of that. This is the first time using a shark hoover and I was kinda expecting more from it suction wise, I thought it would be intensely strong but it isn’t, it picks up everything first time off the floor and does well and has good suction but it still feels like it’s lacking even with the boost on, other than that it’s easy to use and set up is simple and converting it to handheld is super easy and I like that this hoover comes with its own stand so you don’t have to do any drilling into the wall and the stand charges it altogether so you just pick it up when you want to use it and its ready to go. So overall really good hoover specially for the price.

I have never heard this brand before and it was a lovely surprise.
This vacuum cleaner is able to suck up solid residues that are a little larger, without getting clogged immediately, it has separately rechargeable battery all in affordable price.
It does very well with large residues and are less suitable for more precise cleaning.
It is therefore an excellent vacuum cleaner for the most “rough” cleaning of rooms in which perhaps you are not interested in having perfect cleaning, but rather remove the bulk.
The vacuum cleaner is light and very handy. The battery can be charged separately from the vacuum cleaner. A common feature of all cordless vacuum cleaners is that they cannot stand up on their own. Infact when folded it doesn’t stands up on its own.
The reason is obvious: they are unbalanced, they are light and thin vacuum cleaners, which have all the weight at the level of the battery and the motor body and do not have a base so wide that they can support this weight.
So they either lay on the ground, or lean against the wall (and often slide and fall).
Easy to clean. It has an autonomy of about 16 minutes. I clean a floor of the house for a couple of consecutive days.
Fairly low price for a good quality vacuum cleaner.
Great vacuum to have charged as a quick flick round but wouldn't do the whole house on one charge
This has a great charging plate and stands very neatly in the corner while on charge. There is an option to purchase a second battery to have ready to swap over if you need to use the Shark for more than 10 mins.
It is very easy to convert to a handheld to use in the car or to nip round the ceiling corners to catch all those spider webs.
It doesn’t clean right up to the edges and doesn’t sound as powerful as my main vacuum, however it’s not in that league for suction or price so this is more of a quick flick round to pick up the odd bits of fluff and not a complete house clean.
Very easy to empty though the collection bin isn’t very large.
It is very lightweight compared to my main vacuum and being cordless it is useful for doing the stairs.
It’s a little on the pricey side but all said and done it does what it says it does and it is very useful.

This is grab and go cordless vacuum is extremely light weight, powerful and flexible in cleaning.
Really good on the the hard floor and the carpet both and clears all the mess, check the video. Its also very simple to use on a daily basis.
That lightweight body means this cleaner is easy to push around; I found it quick on the floor and wall head attached. This model is an Anti-Hair Wrap unit, so its brushes won’t become clogged with hair during cleaning.
Pros –
great suction power
performs and clean like a one swipe
Lightweight under 3 kgs
Cons –
Short battery life
You can fully remove the bin assembly to get to the HEPA filter at the back, and to clean out the internal bin. Shark recommends that you clean the filter once a month.
Great vacuum!
This is such a great little vacuum! It’s very lightweight but very powerful too! It was very easy to put together and it lasts a long time before needing to charge! No cords necessary so you can use the vacuum wherever you need!

Shark cordless vacuum cleane
This is an easy to use space saving vacuum system. It makes cleaning the stair carpet so easy. It’s also perfect for the car. I do think it’s a little overpriced and the battery doesn’t last long until it needs recharging.
Loving this vacuum stick
Amazing suction! What more do you want. Well this offers quite a lot more as well.
Love the way you can easily turn it into a hand held and then go back to a more regular machine if you want to do the stairs.
It’s so convenient and always is ready to go. Easy to use it upright for cob webs (having clapped the spiders away of course).
I’m really impressed with the suction. We have a cat who leaves trails of dirt behind him. This picks up what he leaves on the sofa and his hair.
It comes with one battery but you can buy an extra one. I don’t think I need it as I am using this as a secondary device.
The battery life is its downside. It only lasts about fifteen minutes if it is not plugged in.

Handy
A very handy cordless vac which is extremely easy to construct, store and empty. As with other models it does take a good couple of hours to charge and the resultant power for usage is not that great ( just over 15 mins). Very lightweight and easy to manoeuvre; especially good on stairs and reaching high places. I really do like the anti- hair wrap which is so lacking in others models. Suction power seems good.

I didn’t know what to expect from this. For the price I wanted it to be really good but for the size i wasn’t expecting miracles.
I have to say I am pretty satisfied.
The vacuum itself comes in three main parts – the vacuum cleaner (which is also the handle), the extension part and the floorhead attachment. You also get a crevice tool, a multi surface tool and the docking/charging station.
This all fits on to the docking station which charges the vacuum when you’re not using it. The dock has an added battery charger compartment for a spare battery (not included). This is also where you place the vacuum for charging. There is also an option of charging without the dock – straight into the handle.
This makes it great as a grab and go. If you want to use it as a hand held, just pinch the two buttons on the side and the rest just stays on the dock. You can also use all of the attachments in this mode.
This vacuum cleaner is simple to use. It has the on/off button which is easy to switch on with your thumb and the battery display on the front. The boost button is on the underside of the handle which makes it easy to squeeze whilst cleaning. The dust compartment empties with a push of a button. I personally think this should be slightly further away from the power button, but not a huge minus.
The floorhead has Anti Hair Wrap Technology which seemed to work (my picture of the under side is after I vacuumed).
I tested this on my living room carpet (quite a large room) and it done a great job. I have two cats, one with long hair, and it picked everything up. I did use the boost for half of the room and it only used about half the battery.
I also tried it on the stairs using the multi surface tool with and without the brush. It cleaned them fine.
This is advertised as a quick clean vacuum. Granted it’s not going to clear up a big mess, but I would say it’s powerful enough to do a large room and then some. I think it would be really good for a small flat where you might be strapped for space.
My only down side of this is that a spare battery costs nearly 100. That’s currently half the price of this.
All in all I am happy with this and would recommend.

Good experience so far.
This is a very capable vacuum cleaner that does regular vacuuming as well as transforming into a handheld. It’s light too, which makes it perfect to lift up and vacuum those hard to reach ceiling areas that miraculously attract dust and cobwebs. The company behind this vacuum cleaner has thought of most things like having a twin battery that can maximise vacuum times as well as having a stand that can house the various cleaning tools. So far I haven’t had problems vacuuming the house or the car and so far so good.
I’ve noticed from various reviews that the batteries on these Shark vacuum cleaners are hit and miss and some even lose charge the instant it’s been used. This hasn’t happened to me and I feel this may be down to luck. And since I can only voice my personal experience, I feel that this vacuum cleaner hasn’t let me down yet.
I’ve only ever used a cordless Dyson, so I was a bit dubious about this Shark Vacuum if it would be as good suction-wise etc… and I’ve got to say it hasn’t disappointed me! Everything comes well packaged and it’s super simple to click bits and bobs together and see how it works. Straight away I love the charging station that comes with the Shark, the vacuum sits nicely and neatly out the way for storing and while charging, whereas my Dyson had to be wall mounted or just left against the wall, so this is better. (Just a little niggle that there was only 1 space on the charging base for the crevice tool to be stored and not the multi, bit of a shame.) I also really like that the Shark vacuum shows you how much charge is left while in use/charging, so you shouldn’t suddenly run out of power! I have a mixture of wooden flooring, rugs and carpet in my home and this has worked great on all, the suction is definitely there. I think the maneuverability of the Shark is a little more clunky to use than my Dyson was with the ball, that seemed a bit smoother to use compared with this, but this is still good to reach all the places I needed it to. I also much prefer the stop/start button on the Shark vacuum, whereas my Dyson you would have to hold the button down continually for it to work. The tool attachments you get with the vacuum are great, so multi functional for cleaning the stairs/ceiling/car etc, and it’s really simply to swap bits over depending what you need to use. I am very impressed with the anti-hair wrap, this was a big annoyance for me with my Dyson, I would forever be yanking hair from the head as it wrapped around, but this isn’t an issue for the Shark! The amount of hair the Shark managed to get from my carpet is embarrassing! (See my pic – eww!) It kept the hair all neat in a little ball with the dust etc so it was a breeze when emptying the dust cup. Overall, I really think it’s a great vacuum, you will use it so much around the house for different jobs, it is definitely worth the money. I love it and would really recommend!

Extremely impressive cordless lightweight vacuum.
This shark handheld vacuum is perfect for doing a quick daily clean around the house and getting into the them hard to get places.
It is lightweight so anyone can use it with ease and even with the anti hair wrap floor head it glides perfectly on the floor.
It has great suction power and there is even a boost mode for extra suction.
You can use the vacuum three ways:
1) as a full length floor vacuum with the anti hair wrap head
2) as a handheld with extension to get into the corners of the ceiling.
3) as a handheld for counter tops, in the car and for the stairs.
The anti hair wrap head works great and makes cleaning up hair easy and is especially great if you have got any pets.
The battery lasts about 15 mins and abit shorter if you continuously use the boost mode but it is enough time to give your floor a quick freshen up.
It has a LED screen which shows how much battery you have left, which is very handy.
Also the charging base has a place where you can charge an extra battery, which I thinks is great. So if you run out of battery you can quickly change the battery and carry on. I will be investing in an extra battery.
The vacuum is nice and compact and can easily be stored away as it has a charging base which the hoover stands and all of the accessories.
The dirt and dust collects in the handle so it isnt very big, but it is so easy to empty I don’t mind emptying it a couple of times while using it.
Overall I am really impressed with this vacuum as it does exactly what it says on the box.
If you are after a quiet, lightweight cordless vacuum look no further.
This is a review of the new Shark Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner model number WV361UK and not the other versions of Shark vacuums on this Amazon page. Most significantly this vacuum is not just a handheld vacuum but also has an extension tube and floor head.
The vacuum came exceptionally well wrapped in an outer standard Amazon box, and inner Shark cardboard box for transport, and then in a retail box. Within the retail box each part of the vacuum was individually wrapped in paper or card. Whilst all this results in a vast amount of packing to dispose of the product arrives in perfect condition!
In the pack you get instructions, a floor base, a charging post, a power adapter, the handheld vacuum itself, an extension wand, the floor brush, a single battery, a crevice tool and a multi surface tool. You do not get a spare battery or a powered multi surface tool which will be available with other versions of this product.
There’s a bit of self-assembly required in terms of fitting the three elements of the stand together – the base, the charging post and the power adapter – but this only takes a few seconds. The vacuum itself needs to be assembled but this too is straightforward. The battery for the vacuum I received was only partially charged so I fully charged it before use which took a couple of hours. The default charging option is to place the vacuum on the freestanding power stand with the extension wand and floor brush attached.
The product exudes quality compared to cheaper alternatives. The finish is outstanding and it’s clear that a great deal of consideration has gone into the design. The vacuum is light, even with the chunky floor brush and extension wand attached. It’s far lighter without these elements and one of the smaller tools – the multi surface tool or crevice tool attached.
In use the vacuum is straightforward to use. There’s a single power button in the front of the device which starts the vacuum. A boost button is on the rear of the vacuum which activates when it’s held down and returns to normal power when it’s not depressed. Unusually for battery-powered vacuums I found the standard power more than adequate. The vacuum is not particularly noisy but nor is it particularly quiet. Three LEDs on the front of the vacuum show the current amount of battery power remaining. There’s also a slide button on the front of the vacuum which releases the spring-loaded waste compartment. Debris should fall from the waste compartment without the need to touch it directly.
The vacuum works in essentially three modes. First as a standard vacuum using the extension wand and powered floor brush. Second as a handheld vacuum and, third, as an extended handheld vacuum with the extension wand and exit either the crevice tool or multi tool attached. Cleverly the vacuum is heaviest when the floor brush is attached but since the vacuum rests on the floor the weight doesn’t matter much. It is very light in either of the two other operational modes.
Overall this all works very well. There are some negatives however. The waste compartment is tiny and will need emptying after every, or every couple of times, the vacuum is used. Plus it’s easy to empty the waste canister by mistake as it’s near to the on/off switch and when the canister is opened the content falls straight on to the floor. Shark have decided to use gravity to empty the bin and avoid the need to touch its content but as a result the bin emptied downwards! When using the standard cleaning power level the battery will only last for 16 minutes, and only 8 in high power mode – if you manage to keep your finger on the boost button for 8 minutes! In addition the vacuum in floor-cleaning mode will not stand up on its own – it has to be leant against something. Most significantly I found the charging system poor. The vacuum can only be placed on the power stand if it has the extension wand and the floor brush attached. Otherwise it will not engage with the power connection points in the power stand. This means that if you mostly use the vacuum as a handheld you’ll need to reconfigure it each time you use it and each time you recharge it. As a alternative you can forget about the charging stand completely and use the power adapter on its own to plug into the handheld directly.
Overall I’m quite impressed with this vacuum. Its build quality and finesse is far in excess of cheap generic models and it is well designed. My only real complaint is the charging system which seems poorly thought through. The small waste compartment and short battery life is really a product of making the unit as light as possible which seems to be a fair compromise. All this means that this is really an additional vacuum for any house, not a primary vacuum.
So, if you are looking for a quality, very light, second vacuum, this product works well. Four stars.
