Shark has better performance than other hoovers
Very good suction got a cat and picked up her hair. Feels powerful for a small cleaner. Attachments good, comes apart for using on stairs. My cleaner filled the dust container in just the time she was here! I am pleased with it. Didn’t have the cheapest one got the purple one with longer battery power. My existing Dyson stick hoover is no were as good as the shark. The Shark performance is much better. Very pleased with my purchase.
Great for hard floors
This is a great hoover but you really need the pet tool to be able to do stairs effectively. It is fabulous for our woodbw floors but less effective on the carpet. That said it does hoover our lightweight mat at the back of the house well. I would love for then to sell a wall bracket for all of their tools.like Dyson does. It would be so much better than the bag.

Good all rounder for family of 6.
So I have used this shark vacuum the purple one with 2 batteries for around 2 months now before giving my honest review. I have a big house with 4 kids. I would definitely recommend 2 batteries as 1 is just not enough. I can get a full house cleaned (5 bedrooms) and all downstairs with 2 batteries. I use it for my car also quite frequently because of how efficient it is. Very easy to use. Very light. Even the kids are happy to clean their rooms. I used to get tired before with my old Dyson when doing a big clean but not anymore. I use the hand held version to clean after the kids throughout the day. This shark is a pleasure to use, my house is much cleaner. Very happy to recommend.

As advertised this vac is superb on hard stone and wooden floors. Easy to handle and convenient to have two batteries to keep power going on a long clean.

It's ok, not quite a replacement but close enough
Title says it all. It’s not perfect. It’s just about good enough as a replacement for a corded one.
You will spend longer vacuuming though because its just not quite as good.
Light, powerful, long charge, two batteries.
First off, no plastic packaging, all cardboard and paper.
Second, two good batteries, with a double charger.
Third, lightweight detachable stick, good for stairs. The main cleaner drives itself around the carpet, good light, boost function is a trigger, so you can’t leave it o. By mistake.

Upgraded to the anti hair wrap from the previous model, just as powerful but a lot quieter, seems lighter and easier to manoeuvre but not as well built as my last shark, battery life is better, anti hair wrap actually seems to work and is even easier to empty than my last one. Happy with the purchase.

Light weight and compact. Great suction power and low noise. Foldable for under furniture cleaning and storage. But the best is the long lasting battery life x 2 and large and easy to empty waste bin. By far the best cordless vacuum we have had. The Dyson and the Vax have taken a trip to the skip.

Unlike other machines the Shark is unaffected by her hair which has been widely distributed and takes it in its stride. It is convenient that it folds in half and is easily stored.
I have had to get used to the dust container always looking a mess. I can see why the manufacturer suggests washing it out after use but I cannot bring myself to do that every time I use the machine. Overall it is a very fine machine.

I didn’t get on with either. But … the Shark is easy to assemble out of the box (I didn’t even look at the instructions), performs very well, and is way simpler than my Dyson to adapt into “tools” mode. The stick releases easily from the head and away you go. It’s really versatile. I love to flexi mode too, where you can vacuum under tables, sofas and beds. Some customers have mentioned it being heavy – there is certainly weight in the top part (as that’s where the motor and battery are) but it slides really effortlessly. In fact it feels like it’s moving by itself much of the time.
Canister is quite small so I had to empty it after doing four rooms (and we hoover every other day so it wasn’t super dirty) but it’s not really a problem to empty.

Makes vacuuming a whole lot easie
Love it. Makes vacuuming a whole lot easier. It folds down sufficiently to get under low spaces. Great on stairs. I’m not young but can manage the weight up and down stairs very easily.

Great purchase for a newbie of cordless
First time buying a cordless and was in two kinds with brands like Dyson and Bosch, shark reviews and price was better! Need a foldable, 80mins run time as I have 3 children and a large house..fabulous, a bit too tech and needed a few reads of manual to work functions. Now 3 days in it works great, lots of connects to do car, inbetween sofas..etc…only con is a bit heavy on pile rug and needs a hard push with two hands..would highly recommend

This is a total revelation for me! I purchased this as my first ever cordless and I’m wondering why I didn’t convert before.
Pros-
* The manoeuvrability on this vacuum is phenomenal, twists and turns so easily!
* Great suction, it seems to get up everything I’ve come across so far and more! Sucks up my partners sock fluff and my waist length hair easy peasy.
* Battery life is great – I’ve been using this daily for 2 to 3 days and still loads of power left (2 up 2 down house). Great that you have a second back up.
* Loads of attachments.
* Easily detachable as a small handheld, use this function constantly.
* Really easy and simple to use and empty.
* Small and easily packed away in our cupboard.
Cons-
* It is pretty heavy although for me because it is cordless I can just easily swap hands but some may struggle.
* Find the lights slightly pointless for me, could do without and save battery life?!
* It doesn’t have a wall hanging function.
* Slightly top heavy so won’t stand alone.
For me the pros far outweigh the cons and would definitely recommend it. Game changer for myself! Can just whip it round every day and stay on top of the vacuuming, GREAT!

Powerful suction, pleasingly manoeuvrable and flexible. I love the fold down storage position, completely eliminating the toppling of the cleaner. The Shark has a reasonable capacity for dirt and dust and emptying is a doddle! Never again will I look at Dyson with envy!

Was sceptical about a new hoover as you can’t get a decent powerful one anymore. Boy was I wrong!

Wow! We have 2 dogs and hoover every other day. Really impressed. I’ve uploaded a photo showing “a line” in the rug after hoovering half with the Shark. I can’t tell you how impressed we are with this cordless. Also love the headlight which points out dust and hair we had previously missed.
The bendy thing is great for hoovering under sideboards, armchairs etc.
I purchased the 80 min run time and it’s worth the extra money as there is a duel docking station for both batteries included.
Batteries take 3 hours for full charge.

I can’t believe it took me so long to get one of these. So light and manoeuvrable- makes hoovering so easy – taking it upstairs is a joy and the handheld part is a bit heavy for prolonged use but makes hoovering the stairs a breeze. Great suction and my carpets are getting cleaned by the day. We lost our dog to cancer 6 months ago but this is still getting hairs out of the carpet! Brilliant!

I can’t get over how light and easy it is to manoeuvre compared with the ball structure of other ‘heavyweights’. You need to keep an eye on the collecting bin though as it fills pretty quickly. I think ‘anti hair wrap’ is a bit of a misnomer though – it’s certainly not the case. So pleased we went for the twin battery, without which you’d be pushed to do half the house on full power and avoiding the need for charging! Finally, the full power trigger is a bit sore on the fingers; you just need to find a comfortable position. Overall a good buy and recommended.

Effortless cleaning
Absolutely fantastic bit of kit, streets ahead of the various corded and cordless variants I’ve had over the years. Deals with hard and carpeted floors equally well. No more endless cleaning of filters or pulling hair from rollers. Looks good, easy to empty and to store, battery life great and with the twin battery model purchased, it’s always ready to go. I can’t recommend highly enough. Brilliant.
Well worth the money
Well worth the money, I have always bought dyson but got fed up with the battery not lasting long, so was told about shark this was on offer and it’s got two batteries so well happy with it.

Has good suction and fairly to use
Slightly heavier than I thought but I have a weak wrist which is at times difficult to use but my husband loves using it. Very flexible and good suction and very easy to store because it can be folded in half which is brilliant. Hope there won’t be any weakness in the mechanisms but very happy so far and would recommend.

Easy to use. I am in my 80’s and it is not too heavy . I live in an old house and have some brick floors and some rooms have carpet. It is easy to change the suction as I go from room to room . It also lets me change quickly to a hand held cleaner to get the cobwebs down. I also took it out to clean the inside of my car . Marvellous.
So easy without having to constantly move the cord out of the way.

This is a really great vacuum. It is as powerful as any corded vac I have used. It is easy to move about, it swivels well and the lights on the front make it easy to see what’s ahead. The additional attachments are each very useful. it is easy to empty and the extra battery is useful. I am very willing to endorse and recommend this vacuum.

Excellent technology that stops my long hair from winding around the rollers. I have spent lots of money on other leading brands & this problem was an absolute nightmare. The Shark Cordless is brilliant, definitely worth the money. It has great suction so it picks up even the smallest particles on hard floors & doesn’t fling them around everywhere.

After 3 Dyson hoovers we thought give this a try it cleans better its quieter (our dog no longer attacks when hovering)and it seems to pull itself along plus having the 2 batteries is fantastic can now clean whole of the house instead of 2 goes at it very pleased it seems to be lifting grit etc out the carpet the Dyson left in it even the carpet pile feels cleane
So easy to use and carry
This vacuum is so easy to use and transport around the house. It makes vacuuming a pleasure. It feels a bit flimsy but actually I think that’s just because it’s designed to move in multiple directions and get into nooks and crannies. My only criticism is the suction isn’t that great.

Good buy stopped working march
I was surprised how good it is. Unfortunately mine after paying 300 has stopped working seems there is no suction. I cleaned it out but still stops. Need someone to contact me please

Superb
Although its a bit heavy it makes up for this with the performance – two batteries – can always have one fully charged to take over – life of each battery is superb. It is very quiet but its suction power is great and it also has lights so on a dark day you can see well what you are doing and make sure you pick up all the little bits – when not in use it folds over and it takes up a small floor space – would highly recommend.

Better than Trad Vacs
Easy to use. Much better than my trad vac. I wish I could add a pipe xtension to reach btwn cupboards and long narrow spaces

The Shark is a great vacuum with the only downside being it is heavy and difficult to manoeuvre when you need to raise it up- however the attachments are great and do help to make it more manageable. Overall no regrets in purchasing and it is a far better product than the Dyson.

Best vacuum around
We have tried Dyson, Vax and G tech. The Shark is far superior with its suction, hair slicer and lightweight handling. We like how the handle can be adjusted for cleaning under beds etc and how it folds down for easier storage, the battery life of both supplied batteries is ideal for purpose
anti hair wrap?
great hoover, lightweight, easy to use, easy to store. my only issue which is quite a big issue is that the ‘amazing’ anti hair wrap technology is non exsistant. i still have to remove the guard from underneath the head and cut the hair from around the roll. ive contacted shark and they gave me some trouble shooting options and that hasnt realy worked either. id recommend shark but dont bother paying the extra money for the anti hair wrap system

There’s 3 items to clip together when taken out of the box. You get a charger and two battery packs, each lasting 40min (according to the manual). We never know, as it only ever takes us 30min to vacuum the whole house.
Unfortunately, If you have a 3 million (pound plus) mansion, you may require a 3rd battery pack!
We have a 3 bedroom house; and one battery pack is more than enough, but it’s nice to have a back up.
The power that comes from this unit is great, but here’s the test. Pick a room (with carpet if possible) and vacuum it using your old vacuum cleaner and then re-vacuum using the new unit and you will see the difference!

What a wonderful piece of kit! Very easy to use, easy to empty and wonderful to be shot of having to use a cable. Very recommended.

Two batteries brilliant machine.
I have two more cordless vacuum cleaners but find this one the best easy to empty and very light when used as has hand held love it anti hairwrap brilliant.

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever had. The spare battery is wonderful, means you don’t get stopped before the job’s finished. It does a good job, doesn’t need too much storage space as the handle folds down. There are cheaper vacuums out there but definitely worth paying that little bit extra.

Having owned 3 Dyson corded and two hand helds i was a but reluctant to but this, but a friend recommened it so….
For me, with two flights of stairs dragging the Dyson up and down was a real pain, bashing the paintwork, it falling down the stairs, the cord catching on things really drove me mad and put me off doing it, and the hand helds ran out of juice so quickly they weren’t any use to me for that job.
This cordless is a revelation. Good build quality, great battery life, no cord, it is a game changer for me. You do need to buy the attachment which doesn’t come with this, but at 30 it’s not too expensive. I don’t find it too heavy, the only downside is the dust collection unit which is a bit small, slightly larger than the one on a Dyson handheld but i’ll live with that, as the upside more than makes up for it, highly recommended.
