Easy to use and easy to store
Bought this as original shark (which is great) is rather heavier. So added this one – hence we have the heavier one upstairs for upstairs use (have to vaccuum less often). This one for downstairs use and for staircase which is much more regular. Being in our late sixties, trying to make life easier for ourselves.
The cordless stick does a great job just as our original mains powered one does.

Excellent value vacuum
I bought this as a replacement for a Vax cordless vacuum that broke after 10 months. So far, this replacement has been excellent. Long battery life, a convenient design and decent suction. I also enjoy how it handles long hair, as removing it is now a breeze.

For those who hate vacuuming!
I hate vacuuming but this makes the task a short pleasure. The carpet and hard floor settings are brilliant. The only reason I gave four stars for stairs is because stairs are an absolute pain to vacuum with anything. Having said that the detachable unit does the job as well as anything.
Shark Stick Cleane
We needed to replace our old tired Dyson and found the Shark much better in hoovering up the dust and pet hair. We have two batteries but one would be sufficient for our bungalow with the second an added but worthwhile bonus; highly recommended although watch for discounts as the price can be off putting.

Fab battery life, copes well with lots of dog hai
My partner and I bought one of these each for our households, after battling with hair and mud spread around the houses by our three dogs. Even though we had a one year old vacuum cleaner each (different brands), also marketed as excellent for pet hair, which coped fine with our one dog at the time, once we’ve added two big hair-shedding furballs to the mix, we started to struggle. This review is based on two of this model used daily for a couple of weeks. So far: suction seems good, battery life excellent (managed to hoover the whole of downstairs on 40% it came with initially!) and so far, only had to dismantle and unclog it once, compared to every 5 minutes with the other two brands. It’s easy to empty, the dual-battery charger is neat, and it’s not too noisy, the smaller pet-brush is great for soft furniture and stairs.
Things to be mindful of: it’s heavy, I’m yet to find a way of using it on smaller rugs/bathroom matts without sucking them in, the hypo-allergenic attachment seemed great for dusting furniture but appears to be smearing it more than removing it (again, dusts builds up quickly with the three dogs) but all in all, a great purchase. Also great: it came in paper and cardboard only packaging, not a single plastic bag inside!
The rollers and the suction power are great!
I was surprised at how good this product works. The extension with the 2 rollers really takes the dirt from the floor (it even took some rubber from a toy o the way! ). The hair is smashed and cut by one of the rollers so you don’t need to take care of it.
Also, the suction power is high. It may be a bit misleading as the carpet and rugs cleaning rely on the rollers ( the suction power is strong behind the rollers and not external) but it does the trick far better than the conventional vacuum cleaner based on suction only. With the other accessories you can feel the entire strength of the suction.
Overall, I believe the product is better than a Dyson cleaner and is at a better price for the consumer.
Brilliant for black lab dog hair.
We have 3 large black dogs. So far, (it’s only been a couple of days) this Shark- IZ320UKT has been great, however the deep cleaning Pet tool, which I thought would be ideal for the stairs was a bit rubbish compared to the dyson it replaced. Looks like we will have to keep the dyson just for the stairs.
Great value and performance. A little heavy for pensioner but does impair use.
Does everything we wanted in a cordless. Easy charging and storage. Great value too. Highly recommended.
Great Suction Disappointing battery performance
Fantastic machine well made easy to use, it has really good suction. Great for a one-bedroom flat. The claim that the battery has 60 minutes run time did not prove true just using the default setting. This model Shark is not at all suitable for a house with stairs. Will reluctantly have to return it. Thought of solving the problem by getting additional batteries for each floor. plus accessories – it only came with a crevice tool and a general-purpose brush
However, This made the machine comparatively expensive when the batteries are 79 and were out of stock
Light Weight but powerful
The Shark cordless vac is very adaptable and comes with tools .The top section can be taken off to allow it to be used for vacuming the stairs or car. It has variable power levels from eco to booster and has a 60 minute run time with the battery supplied and recharges in about 4 hours. Very pleased with it so far .
Perfect for all arounder
Our switch from Gtech Air Ram to Shark
We have switched from one of the Gtech Air rams and although it was good and the battery was good enough to do the whole house.
We had to buy multiple new sets of wheels as they always broke and more and more parts started needing to be replaced.
Battery
(We got the 60 minute battery version)
We have a 3 bedroom 2 storey house and can do the whole house with one simple charge, it still even would have enough over for any small spillages too. However do expect that time to be shortened if you need to use the boost option but that just obvious. I would recommend running the battery completely dead at least twice as it does seem that the battery held the charge that bit better after we had used it and charged a couple of times.
Storage…
It’s does store away really nicely and is compact enough that it will fit away in most spaces without any worries.
Emptying
Cleaning out of the machine couldn’t be simpler either and oh my god! You will be urprised just how good this little vacuum is. We’re not a dirty house but even still we was very shocked by what we found.
Non floor cleaning…
It’s great for doing the stairs as it breaks down for the purpose really nicely and there is no weight to it either making the task that much easier. But also it’s great to get to those higher out of reach corners etc that you often struggle or over stretch to reach. We have even done our curtains and beds with very little effort.
Car
Then there is the car packed down it does clean the car and the crevice tool is ideal. We did consider buying the car kit however we found this does the job so well that we held of buying the extras for now.
Flexability & Movement
The capability of being able to adjust the handle to go right under tables and sofa’s without having to bend yourself saves your back and just makes life that bit easier for sure it’s a great feature. (As long as you have the gap underneath to do it.)
It also glides the floors/carpets with ease and there is no real efforts in turning or moving around the room, I’m disabled and found this was so much easier to use then any other vacuum I’ve tried I actually can help out around the house without physically having to pay for it.
One simple Fault
Only one slight fault yet worth mentioning before you use your new vacuum… On our try of the vacuum when the handle is up and it’s fully erected to use it doesn’t support itself. So if you have to let go of it to pick something up or move something out of the way, it toppled over and fell to the floor.
So if your going to have to move something ensure that you lean it against something to save this from happening.
I'm unsure how durable it will prove to be
I really like the dual battery feature – it has already proved necessary in my house (a fairly standard size 3 bedroom with study and large hobbies room. The only thing I’m concerned about is that we have an uneven stone floor downstairs, and while it picked up dust well it shows evidence of tine chips on the underside of the main “foot”, even after the first use.
Brilliant!
I love this! Good quality product all round. Easy to use, I don’t find it heavy at all, good clean in my house which is a 2 bed bungalow, does it on one charge. I like that emptying the dust collector is a smooth and easy process. In fact all the parts are easy to fix and use. Also, no smell in the air after use, which means of course, no emission! It’s just great.

So this a strange one – I used to be a Vax over Dyson fan until recently more and more of my Vax products started to break down.
Up till a few years ago, Vax were great at sending replacements but not so much now.
So we converted to Shark and this was a fairly risky move given the price vs the Vax.
In short, its great – plenty of battery time and replaceable battery, folds really neatly etc and well…sucks the junk from the floor.
Suction on carpet is excellent and this shows when running over the same part using our mains powered shark.
BUT on tile not so much and this is why we got this – for the kitchen.
Yesterday we had rice krispies on the floor when the little one used them as target practice and it really struggled.
I was changing power modes from low to high and also hard floor to carpet but it just moved the bits around.
Crack open the old vax and this seemed to do better. I can only think the dual roller is in some ways blocking bits like this being sucked in which yet carpet the same thing goes in fine.
Not a show stopper but does take a bit of patience and more of that battery power for what seems to be less work for the Vax.
Converting it to a handheld is excellent and while a bit heavy, does a good job on stairs and car.
The display is also brilliant as are the lights which are very useful!
My biggest annoyance is the buttons that aid making life easier … or not.
When upright, the front button disconnects the top to convert to handheld and the rear black button is to fold it. But when folded, the front button (now black) is the one that lets you get it back upright.
However behind when folded is the orange one that drops the whole thing to the floor to convert it to handheld.
Just need to remember this – a few times it has crashed to the floor (tiles) when pressing the button because we went for the one behind and not front.
An excellent buy
I bought this item to replace a Dyson stick vacuum. It is superior in its cleaning and ease of use. It is heavier and may make my arm ache doing curtains but is still worth it. Using the handheld and doing the stairs also worked well. It is tidy when folded and sits well for storage. Run time is brilliant and having to ability to choose the floor type, carpet or hard floor. I love it. I think it is value for money.

Love it!
Hooray, I can vacuum the whole house on the 60 minute run time! Apart from the lounge all the other downstairs floors are wood, which doesn’t need high suction, stairs and 4 carpeted bedrooms, tiled bathroom and en-suite no problem.
As others have said, it’s not lightweight, but I’m OK with that as it’s still nowhere near as heavy as an ordinary upright vacuum.
I like how the handle folds down for storage purposes as stick vacuums don’t stand up on their own and I don’t like leave mine on display when not in use. Handy to be able to remove the battery to charge it.
I gave away my Dyson ball vacuum cleaner years ago as it was too heavy to lug upstairs and replaced it with a corded Shark stick vacuum which has been excellent and problem free so I had no hesitation buying another Shark. So glad I waited until one with a decent run time came on the market. I bought it when it was on offer and paid 1p more than the 40 minute run time one and it was half the price of the over-rated Dyson.
Love it!
Excellent machine. No regrets.
Purchased when Shark had one of their half price offers.
Really easy to use. Switch from carpet to hard for at press of button.
Love the fact that I can clean under coffee table and settee without having to move them.
Battery lasts about an hour. Purchased extra fitting for stairs. Possibly bit heavy for the ladies but a marvellous bit of kit. Would I pay full price. Possibly not.
Well designed and easy to assemble.
Technically, I thought that the machine was very well designed and easy to put together. It ticked all the boxes as far as easy to use. The one aspect which was problematic, was that my wife found it on the heavy side when using it. She is elderly, so this should not be a problem for younger fitter individuals.

Good cordless stick vacuum cleane
I was looking for a light weight cordless cleaner for my stairs, but I find I haven’t needed to use my corded vacuum cleaner since I got this. Power is good and it switches from carpet to my stone floors with great ease. Really pleased with it.
Good except for run time
Really like the shark cordless but the run time of 60 minutes is not accurate. I use the lowest setting but if you even move up to a higher setting even for a few seconds it eats the battery.

Just what I needed
This vac is excellent. I ordered the slightly damaged 1 and the marks are hardly visible – well worth a chance. Saved 75. The performance is great, very mobile and I can certainly cover the whole house (3 bedroom) in 1 charge. If it is fully charged it shows as 100% and it is hardly affected after the whole house. Down to 70% so absolutely fine. I only charge the vac every 3rd use. Great suction even on level 1. Highly recommended
Excellent suction good all round vacuuming
Excellent, versatile vacuum closes up allowing it to stand unobtrusively in a corner by charging point.
It is heavier than our previous g tech but overall suction on various surfaces is excellent picking up pet hairs easily.
Purchased the extra car cleaning kit, but not tried this yet.

Wow bye bye Dyso
Vacuuming has never been so easy or fun. I thought the light was a gimmick however my husband loves it and it means he now vacuums – bonus. So lightweight compared to my old Dyson. Can pick it up with 1 hand and with a 3 storey house very handy for doing the stairs. Also incredibly quiet and my cats don’t hate it like my old Dyson.

a better alternative to Dysons with more powerful suction but heavie
We have 2 Dyson V8 vacuum cleaners at home, but we found that they do not give a thorough clean to our carpets. We tried out this Sharp and found it has very powerful suction, each run of this over our reasonably cleaned carpets can still pick up a quarter bucket of dust. Very impressive. We love it.
issues:
1. heavy compared with Dyson. Sharp should consider doing a Wand without the bending feature, just a simple wand like that of Dyson as this will reduce quite a bit of weight for people who do no need this feature like myself.
2. the battery only lasted around 10 minutes when in full blast. spare battery is not on sale at present. suggest to do this soon and als should lower its price to match the Dyson battery. (Currently, it is twice the price of Dysons)
Super vac
Good buy but struggled with choices of this vacuum.
Functions well as cordless. Good suction. Gets in all nooks and crannies.
Battery length accurate.
Pleased with neat storage as top half folds over.
Works well on hard floors and carpets
Happy so far.
Fantastic cordless vacuum
Really great machine. Brilliant suction and versatility. Large bin easy to empty. Only criticism is the head is rather heavy. So if you’re looking for a really lightweight vacuum this might not be the one for you. Check weight online and see. However we are really pleased with it. The two batteries increased the use time to approximately 2 hours. We let our French watermill to guests and this is perfect for the cleans.

A good vac but eats batteries
This is a good vac with flexible options for cleaning your home and your car. I’m glad I want for the twin battery option as the vac quickly eats through batteries. It also really needs a full clean and wash-out of the dust collector every time it is used including the two filters so is quite high maintenance. Fine dust does collect in the collector and can only be removed by washing with water. With the dust collector, motor and battery being at the top of the vac it is quite heavy and you will feel it after using it for a house clean.
Weigh
We have noted it is a lot heavy then the Hoover stick vacuum that we replaced with this..
Manoevreable, lightweigh
Excellent pick up from hard floors and carpet. Easy to charge and empty. Cordless functionality means quick and easy cleanups. Lightweight easy storage makes this easy to get out and use without hassle. I can easily clean our whole 2 bed flat, empty the dust chamber and have the vacuum back on charge in 15 minutes.
Fairly decent vacuum cleane
I’m overall pretty happy with this vacuum cleaner, and I’ve compared it to my old Dyson DC40.
Firstly, I gave my front room (old low piled carpet) a good vacuum with my old cleaner, then went over it again with my new Shark model on boost mode. The first two pictures show the difference, which I think speaks for itself.
Weight wise I think it’s reasonable, and it’s good to steer. I say this because my old cleaner was very difficult to maneuver, and basically needed two hand steering at all times, which was exhausting going through an entire house. It’s taken me a bit to get used to the light steering going between my cleaners, but I quite like it and get on with it well now.
The inside of the cleaner is easy to empty, and I like the filter isn’t just a cylinder, but pointed, so hair slips right off instead of being stuck.
One downside however is the handle. I find it hard to maintain a good grip of the middle of it, and end up holding it closer to the digital display, because my hand/grip slides. After going over thee rooms this leaves me with close to what I would call a blister, so less ideal. Perhaps someone else would maintain a better grip, but with early arthritis I don’t have the strength to do so.
The battery time is quite alright if used on setting 1 or 2 for both hard floor and carpet settings, but runs out fast if left on boost setting. I think this is to be expected, but also not something I do every time I vacuum. It’s reasonably fast to recharge either way.
Very lightweight , gets in all nooks and crannies.
This is a great vacuum so far, good suction, easy to use, extremely light and a multitude of accessories to carry out all relevant jobs. Each battery lasts for circa on hour, although the readout on the screen to show low charge does not appear to be working properly.
Very impressed so far.

Better than Dyson & anti-hair wrap works!
Superb suction and maneuverability, it’s night and day against my Dyson v11. My carpets look new since using this!
After a month of solid use, the brush bar is still clear of any hairs and my wife malts like a golden retriever; so I’d pay little attention to reviews that suggest it doesn’t work.
It’s really very good.
Title said it all. Replaced a Dyson which was much hated for years because supposedly lightweight, when it met a carpet it weighed a ton. This has been the opposite. Battery life has been good. We’ve got 2 battery version but never had to switch whilst using it.
Does what it's supposed to
It does what it’s supposed to, my carpets look almost new.
Drawback is the battery life. On turbo it maybe lasts 20, 30 minutes, tops. Closer to the former. No where near 1hr. On the lowest power setting it’s pretty useless.
4hrs to charge.
The brushes/hoses that come with it aren’t great, it seems to loose suction with them. But they’re good for cleaning skirting. Basically a glorified duster, with them on.
Still wouldn’t send my hoover back, absolutely love how easy it is to store and the difference it’s made to my carpets. But I was using a Henry for the last year, so I mean, you’re going to see a difference.
It’s easy to manoeuvre, not too heavy (but also not super light), and can reach most places.
You can use it for your car, it’s a bit awkward but it can be done. Either with the main head or with extensions.
Cleaning it is easy.
Does a decent job on wooden floors (nothing special).
Good for furniture cleaning I tried it on my sofa
Battery life really is a let down, though.
Shark or Dyso
So i have been using dyson v11 for 2 years now and I had mixed feelings about it but still used it. my husband brought me the new outsized one which cost 700 pounds… i ended up sending it after a week of using it because its suction was so powerful that it kept thinking it’s airway was blocked when used on the carpets and then it would stop working for hours drove me mad…
We sent it back and brought 2 of this cordless vacuum. Cons are battery life is really bad and takes ages to recharge. The bin just opens up so if anything is stuck you got to pick it out yourself not like dyson where you can push down and up . The vacuum doesn’t stand up on its own unless folded.. the function where you can clean under sofa is good if its laminate or stone not good if its carpet. I personally don’t think the light does much. Its head is in werid shape so it does not get corners.
Pros you get 2 batteries. It is very small to store. Its suction is good. Its price is better then dyson.
Overall i dont regret it i think dyson is just overpriced.. yes its suction is good but a problem on carpets.. however shark didnt have that problem
Fantastic machine
Easy to use. Can vacuum the whole house on one charge. Excellent at picking up dog hairs (we have two golden retrievers) and the anti hair wrap works really well. My only criticism is that the dust container is a bit small, I have to empty it twice when cleaning the house.
Great little buy
This vacuum definitely has more dirt lifting power and suction than my old Dyson. Lift off power section is great to use on stairs and higher objects with different attachments and its definitely lightweight and so mush easier to carry around, store and charge. Anti hair wrap seems to work too as my hair has always been a problem with vacuums. Fantastic little buy, well recommended

Great as a second vacuum
I keep this vacuum upstairs so I don’t have to carry up my heavy upright. It works very well on carpets including carpeted stairs. I don’t really use it on hard floors. A single full battery is fine for a thorough vacuum of 4 bedrooms and stairs on medium power but you need both batteries if you use the booster speed. The flexible wand is great being able to go under furniture without going down on your hands and knees.
The flexibility of the floor head on the wand – it wanders around a bit- takes a bit of getting used to after a traditional upright. It’s relatively easy to change the heads once you’ve worked out which buttons to press. You have to remember to switch it off if you’re moving furniture to preserve the battery.
At around 4 Kg it’s not particularly light.
Good vacuum.
It does what it says, although I find it a bit heavy for me as I have arthritis in my hands. It is a bit fiddlely having to fold down the top when not in use. It does not stand on its own unless you fold it down. It comes with tools in a little bag and has 2 batteries that charge so does last a good while before they run out, easy to charge up also. Delivery was quick.

Raving about her vacuum seems a little daft, but the reviews let me to believe this would be okay if a little heavy and yet, I think it is much more than that.
I only have a small amount of vision and although I love my cordless Dyson, I did struggle with its manoeuverability and it often got stuck on things.
I think the shark is brilliant to move around, it’s swivels easily and I know it has lots of suction because if it comes across a wire, it chomps it!
Yes, it is heavy if you’re carrying it around but there is an easy way to carry it and because it’s sturdy and well-made, I don’t find the weight a problem. I find it’s also easy to empty and pul lvarious bits apart — something I really struggled with when using my Dyson. I also like the fact that I can plug it in anywhere and again unlike the Dyson, it stands up on its own rather than falling over all the time.
If you are really not able to carry heavy things, this is not for you but otherwise, highly recommended.
Very good hoover does everything well great suction realy strong good tools great mobility.
I have 2 dogs and it picks up hair brilliantly i have a injured leg and was finding it hard to use the xorded hoover i had so decided to buy a shark and its not dissapointed hope its reliability is matched by its design and suction power wow as good as any corded hoover.
Thank you Shark
I ordered the Shark IZ320UK cordless stick vacuum cleaner twin battery version through Amazon with a good price but having put it all together my head was spinning but not the motorised floor cleaner brushes that really mattered. What to do? I rang Shark directly and eventually got proof of purchase through to them in a format they could process and a few days later they had sorted out everything and I had a working cordless Shark cleaner. Great customer service, great product now it’s fully functioning (very impressive suction and features) so thank you Shark Ninja!!
Soooo happy with this Shark cordless vaccine cleaner. So much better than my g tech which now will be placed upstairs as a spare to use on newer carpets.that don’t get as mush wear and tear. I was amazed how much dust it collected , even though I used the GTech every day on down stairs carpet.loved the easier glide over carpets and tiles. Loved the move ability of the machine , and loved the bigger dust collecter.the only down side I found was ,it was a bit heavy on my arms.but then again I am 80yrs old and arthritic so I should have expected it to be heavier. On the whole, great buy with great saving on the Black Friday deals.
Easy to use
My eldest daughter recommended this model to me as she has one, and I have to say it’s a lot easier for me to use than trundling a hose-type vacuum behind me with a cable.
I have only had a it a few days, but so far I am really pleased with it compared to my other battery-powered vacuum and my old cabled machine.
As it happens I don’t have any pets, but I am impressed with the suction and the cleaning properties of this machine so far.
Fantastic
Am I premature in writing this review.. possibly, but I have say even just half an hour into using this slick, so easy to use, and dismantling cordless has been a joy, maybe it feels a little heavy but that’s ok with me cause that means it’s going to do the job and oh how it does, the handheld is much lighter, I’ve done a vast research because good vacuums are not cheap, it does fascinate me tho when I read negative reviews some people just cannot be pleased, I recommend this vacuum 100%

Exactly as advertised
Powerful suction, easily rid your carpet of all the hair you didn’t know was in there. Intuitive controls and add ons. It folds up small and pretty compact which is also super handy. Had it for a month or so and because there’s no faff to get it out and plug in, set up the hose etc, we’re quite happily whipping it out for little things we would normally have left for the weekend clean. Funny how it being so much easier to use and interact with makes me almost enjoy hoovering.

Awesome
Had this for around a month and so far it’s been brilliant. Far better made than I thought it would be too.
Excellent suction, good for dog hair. Can’t fault it really. Dust container is not huge but it’s sufficient for our house. Battery charge will also do the whole house provided it’s not on ‘mega suction’ mode.
We had never owned a cordless stick vacuum before and despite the good reviews I was a bit worried about some of the potential downsides e.g. uncomfortable to use, not enough suction power, short battery life. However after a week or so of using I’m delighted.
+ So easy to use and convenient compared to a corded hoover. Packs away nice and neatly in the cupboard and if I ever fancy doing a bit of hoovering or notice a small spill it takes moments to get this set up compared to wrestling a big hoover out the cupboard, unwinding the cord, finding a place to plug in etc. Ultimately it doesn’t matter how powerful a hoover if it never gets used because using it is boring.
+ Battery life is plenty for our relatively small 3 bedroom. A single charge easily covers the entire house if I’m doing a thorough clean, if I want to do a quick hoover I can do the entire house 2+ times on a single charge.
+ Suction seems good. Plenty of dust coming away from our carpets and I’ve not noticed anything that it has failed to pick up so far.
+ Not as heavy as I had feared by some of the reviews. It’s not exactly light but I think for the majority of people the weight won’t be a problem.
Brillia
Absolutely brilliant sucks everything up,
Not as as lightweight as you would think but a average person would have no trouble using it , a great piece of kit.

This vacuum is robust but easy to handle. Having 2 batteries is great as you don’t ever have to abandon a job part way through to wait for the battery to recharge – although I vacuumed 2 large rooms and my hall/landing/stairs before the battery ran out. I have 2 dogs so the cleaning is pretty heavy duty.
It also folds away neatly for storage.
does everything it says on the tin. One hilarious thing though (and don’t make same mistake!). I could get it to switch from carpet to floor on the read out – it’s taken me days to realise i have to take the sticker off!!!
I took my time researching which cordless vacuum I was going to commit to. I looked at all the brands and asked friends and family for recommendations. In the end I arrived at the Shark brand and also noted the reviews and ratings. The price was comparable to other brands – not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I have not been disappointed with my choice and love the compact fold down feature for storage. It works extremely well and I can manage 3 uses on one charge (I opted for the 60 minute battery). It is beautifully quiet compared to my old vacuum and the cordless feature is a dream. Vacuuming has never been more enjoyable!
I am very pleased with this machine in general terms but disappointed that it was certainly not lightweight. Also you can’t buy an additional battery or car cleaner so the car cleaning becomes a mission with hand-held portion and no pipe. Very happy nevertheless.
This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I had a cordless off brand hoover that didn’t do a terrible job, but after only 2 years it broke, so I switched back to my trusted Henry. I have hEDS, so Henry was much too cumbersome and heavy to use without injuring myself.
I decided to spend the extra money and get a shark bc I’d heard they’re great and this model seemed small and lightweight. As someone with a disability, I need that.
The Shark is Fantastic. All the suction of a good corded vacuum, without being tethered to the wall. I have 2 sons at home and a cat therefore lots of mess.
It’s easy to set up and put together, easy to use, no messing about on different floor surfaces. Easy to empty, store, change tools, charge. I’ve had no issues with the anti hair wrap and I have long hair. 40mins run time is enough to do my whole house plus. It comes with a bag of tools and I got the pet hair head separately as we’re about to add a puppy to our family. It folds down and fits neatly behind my kitchen door.
The only criticism I have is it’s a bit top heavy, so stairs can be a little awkward.
It was very straightforward to put together after I charged the head unit. Until now, we had been using a red Henry cleaner with extra power option. After hoovering the living room without the power lead wrapping round the top, the cleaner toppling over and actually hoovering under the sofas without employing a power lifter to access, i was amazed at the hair, dust and grime in the carpet. It looked clean enough beforehand, but there was a satisfying amount of crud lifted by The Shark and it’s powered brush attachment. The same for upstairs, quite a bit more dust, hair & muck than I had imagined. So far, the Shark is performing as expected, it’s well made, quiet & surprisingly good at finding grey stuff hiding in my cream carpet. It gives you that satisfying suction stripe by really lifting the fibres on my 8 year old carpet. It’s not looking new, but the shark has revived and cleaned well. Pleased with my purchase.
My wife is a woman of simple pleasures. Her three, true hobbies are crochet, vacuuming and blocking toilets.
Two months ago we replaced our Dyson and it has been a game changer.
Drop a crumb? Out comes the shark.
Take your socks off and a bit of fluff hits the carpet? Out comes the shark.
It’s been a few hours since you’ve vacuumed? Out comes the shark.
I can’t complain as my wife loves it and I know that I have a similar obsession with irons and ironing boards.
It glides through the house picking up everything. I sew and so there always bits of thread on the floor where l have missed the bin the thread no longer get tangled on the brush because of hair anti wrap. The carpet which is over 15 years old has never looked so good. Maybe we won’t have to change it for while?? The rugs are all fluffy and looking new again. People say the hoover is heavy the only downside l find is it pulls as it runs along. What surprised me was all the extras brushes etc come with it it’s far better than the old dyson l had.
I have an upright Shark already and I have reviewed this item already just after receipt, but having now used this cordless version for some weeks, I really want to say how impressed I am. I will be keeping hold of the old corded one, as I love that too, but this is just a lightweight, efficient little gem. I see the adverts on television saying how many people say the Shark products are good, shame they have not asked me, I would be one more person. Hoovering is no longer a chore. I love it.
I bought this to replace my dyson V6.
* It is much quieter than the dyson.
* It is also much heavier, be prepared to sometimes use two hands.
* The fold-away looks cute and takes up hardly any space – however be careful to press the correct fold buttton and not the quick release of the hoover end (dropped it twice)
* Battery lasts a long time and Charging is quick and easy.
* The suction on the attachments are fantastic in comparison to Dyson.
* Works great on hard flooring and doesn’t spit debris across the floor like the dyson does.
* Works great on what i thought was a hoovered rug.
Note: If you get something small stuck and it doesn’t come out – simply tip the hoover upside down and spin the rollers and it usually falls right out.
I bought a really cheap vacuum cleaner when I moved and got exactly what I paid for. This Shark is vastly superior, not just to my old cheap one but also the Dyson I used to have. Suction is great and the anti hair wrap thingy actually works! It comes with all the usual attachments and the small brush head has been really good on stairs and the carpets in my car.
To store it, rather than having to put a bracket up like the Dyson, this one folds in half and stands up on its own. Battery life is good and it cleans my entire house on one charge.
Basically, this is a very good machine and I like it. If you want a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, I’d say get this one.
I have had a dyson for many years and then decided to try a cordless shark. Well, I am delighted with the results and amazed at how much dust and hair it is still sucking up. I would advise anyone to buy a shark ASAP. I am disabled and find it so easy to use and very very versatile. Brilliant.
Love this cordless vacuum, more powerful than my last one. Love the fact that, when using as a handheld, it’s just as powerful. Also like the boost trigger and the folding for easy storage. And yes, the hair wrap function really works brilliantly. As I live in an apartment, I cannot comment on its use on stairs, but as the handheld is so powerful, I think it would be great.
Can not fault this, had to replace my dyson which has been a nightmare. I can’t believe I’ve not bought a shark sooner, yes it’s a bit heavier but it picks up crumbs/dust no problem, much more powerful than my dysons have ever been! Would highly recommend
This is the first vacuum cleaner that I use of this kind. I have owned Dysons vacuum cleaners before but I decided to get this one for two reasons:
– Firstly and foremost because I was tired of the constant hair blockages in the head of the Dyson vacuums. In my house live two persons with long hair and this has been a constant issue with the Dyson vacuums. Whilst they have been on guarantee, I received replacements but I had enough.
– Secondly, I felt attracted about not needing to plug the vacuum in different sockets as I moved around the house.
I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner for various reasons which might be obvious for the regular users of these kind of vacuum but that, as I said before, I am finding beneficial being a first time user.
Its sucking power is quite good (and surprisingly good for a battery operated vacuum vs a corded one) and it is acceptable for my needs. When used on full power + boost on carpets you can see that it leaves the carpet really clean and this can also be seen on the waste deposit which fills in with dust. Likewise it cleans well non-carpeted floors.
In my experience and after having been using the vacuum for about 2 months, the Anti Hair Wrap system works really well and it serves for its purpose. It cleans hair and dust very well and its head has not blocked even once. Another function that has positively surprised me is the bending function of the long stick, which allows you to reach under the table, sofa and low furniture. I thought it was a nice to have but “pffff nothing special”. Actually it works really well and it really keeps these areas clean without the need to move them!
The vacuum charges in about 2 hours and it gives you enough vacuum time to do a medium size home (3 bedrooms, living room, hall and stairs) so long you don’t abuse of the boost power option. To charge it, I take it off all the accessories and leave it discreetly next to a plug socket after each use to make sure it is fully charged for the next use. Likewise the capacity of the waste container is good enough and there is no need to empty it half way through when vacuuming a full house.
I have to say that not everything is nice and hence why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars to this vacuum. I find the vacuum body (the top section which is the vacuum itself) very heavy. This is not incredibly noticeable whilst cleaning with the long stick and floor head on (although you can feel it after a while). But when you can really notice it is when you use any of the other two utensils that come with it (the piece to clean carpets, sofas, upholstery, etc. and the extended reach wand to reach the corners of the ceiling to remove spider webs, etc). I think that its manoeuvrability is difficult due to its weight; let’s put it this way: I don’t think my mother would be able to handle it.
Also, the instructions recommend that when it is stored you can fold it in two to make it less bulky. This is indeed a good idea and it works well, but the reality is that folding it is a nuisance when you could simply put it inside a cabinet extended. The problem with this is gravity! The head of the vacuum on top of it is heavy as I explained before and therefore makes it very unstable if it is not being held. If you opt for the practicability option of simply store it in a cabinet after use without folding it, chances are that the vacuum will fall.
In summary, this vacuum serves its purpose and seems good in what it does. However, it is heavier than what I expected and for its price, I would have expected a lighter device.
An amazing vacuum cleaner. Brilliant suction; this is the second vacuum I have had to buy in a six month period. Whilst the other one I got (another brand) was a great vacuum cleaner, it just wasn’t lifting the cat hair from my carpet. This vacuum does an amazing job at doing so and more, and without a special pet attachment being needed. Very impressed. The only negative I would say that it is a wee bit heavier than expected (not too much) and that it is not completely anti – hair gathering as advertised – you still have to pull off tangled hair that is gathered at the bottom of it. Overall the good points outweigh the bad; it also has a very powerful motor – it almost seems like it has a mind of it’s own. Overall, Shark has a very powerful vacuum here.
This vacuum does pick up most of the cat hairs and they are not wrapped round the roller like other vacuums, well maybe just a bit but I do have a long haired cat. However, I didn`t give it five stars for two reasons. Firstly it leaves a line of hair when you stop, see photos. I then have to go over these lines with a handheld which isn`t cut out for it. And secondly the trigger has to be held on by finger for full power, as I want full power all the time I have had to tie wrap it on, see photo. Oh and it is heavy but I don`t mind this too much as it`s a bit of a `work out` but as I get older ( I am almost a pensioner ) then I will struggle with it`s weight especially on the stairs. I am glad i bought it though, my old vacuum was useless at the cat hairs and I spent more time trying to get them off the roller afterwards than actually vacuuming.
This really does do the job andf is far superior to my original hoover, of a similar type – a Vax, which just clogs up with hairs in the roller which cannot be removed without dismantling the whole of the hoover head. Anyway, the Shark is great – no hair collection on the roller, strong suction, fast recharging, and lightweight along with lights on the hoover head.
A pricey piece of equipment but would definitely recommend.
Pretty pleased with this vacuum, it cleans well and is lightweight. Battery life is ok and the accessories are useful.
However if you are looking to buy this model because of the ‘anti hair wrap technology’ it simply doesn’t work. Don’t know how they can get away with the advertising.
Very happy with my Shark vacuum cleaner. Arrived early. It is very light and it’s lovely not having to think about the cord getting wrapped around furniture. It’s great not having to change the brush while vacuuming between the carpet and wooden flooring. It’s easy to use and the top part can be detached and used as a hand held vacuum which allows easy access to ledges, smaller spaces and stairs.
Love this hoover, mainly for the lack of cord. Also conveniently folds away for storage. Bin is easily detached and filters removed to wash. Anti wrap technology doesn’t work, hair still wraps around albeit less than with my previous hoover. Removable battery.
This an excellent Hoover, as we’ve had our old one for a few years now, although it’s still working well, it gets frustrating having to switch between modes of cleaning, when you have a mix of wooden flooring and carpet throughout the house.
This does the job perfectly. It will easily clean the wooden and vinyl flooring that we have between two rooms and you don’t need to change any heads etc. It also glides easily across the floor and also the carpet. I would recommend that if you’ve got a particularly dirty carpet, to use the “power boost” mode, as the regular mode just doesn’t quite get the job done and left some crumbs on the carpet. This was a bit of a letdown until we discovered the power boost, and although more nosier, it’s cleaner.
It’s still quite a bulky hoover to use on stairs and to carry up and down also. I found that if you turn it to the side, you can get each stair done easily (there is an attachment for this, but for us, we found it easier to just turn it, and will try the kther attachment later.) There is a pet hair attachment (I have no pets, so I can’t comment on how easily that works) and also the nozzle attachment works well for cleaning those awkward hard to reach places.
I have quite long hair, and shed a lot all over the house. So the anti hair wrap is a bonus, but I wouldn’t say it quite works. Sure, it doesn’t wrap around one of the rollers underneath – but it does wrap around the other. This is ok, if you’re hoovering regularly, but when this was used the first time, it clearly showed how much hair the previous hoover wasn’t bothering to pick up.
This does fit under most furniture, although not under our couch, but glided under the bed before we realised what it was doing, to collect all the dust bunnies.
The battery lasts a good amount of time and charges in good time, allow you to take a break from the household chores. The instruction manual does say to let the battery fully run down, before charging, which we did on the second use, as it only lasted a little while, before conking out.
My only quibbles would be the hair wrap feature and the fact of how bulky and inconvenient it is to empty after a hard morning’s cleaning. When you see adverts for the Shark’s competitors “empties with a slide”, you do wish this was as simple. But at least it makes a change from the bags I remember of our hoovers when I was young.
Definitely worth getting, as it’s fairly self explanatory straight out of the box, and folds down nicely, to sit in a corner, until you’re next ready to use it. And it also comes with a handy bag, to store all the attachments/accessories.
Bought to replace a dyson v6 that died (and like many people I don’t want to support Dyson again) I read a lot of reviews before purchasing – most were gushing with praise and few were objective. So here’s my take after a few days:
Pros:
Superbly good at cleaning floors – far better than the dyson ever was
Battery lasts longer than the dyson
The bendy pipe works well and it packs up surprisingly small
The max power trigger is great – means you have power when you need it without leaving it on and draining the battery
Bin is actually easy to empty (unlike the dyson)
Almost as cool looking as the dyson – better in real life than in the pictures
Anti-hair wrap has worked so far – I must have spent hours cutting long hair off the previous vacuum
it’s nice and quiet. Probably less than half the noise of the V6
Cons:
The head doesn’t seem to clean as close to the edge as the dyson did and being much larger is a little more tricky for stairs. Of course you can swap to the small nozzle to do the edges
There’s no charging dock or wall bracket. This meant we have to find a space on the floor to stand it and physically plug the charge cable in instead of just hanging it up.
It’s heavy. The stick part is noticeably more heavier than the dyson but the head is really weighty. Fine for me but some of us get arm ache after using it for a little while.
The fact it’s so heavy actually made us consider sending it back but in the end the pros far outweighed the cons. I can’t imagine finding a lighter one that works so well. If you consider that it’s a cordless stick vacuum that has all the capabilities of a really decent upright then you will easily forgive a little extra weight.
