Genuinely excellent produc
Used for 6 months, expectations exceeded. I was looking for a high powered vacuum cleaner to use when I am vacuming small spaces, like the landing, kitchen or bathroom and can’t be bothered to get the chorded one out. It lasts for about 8-10 minutes on a charge which is long enough for those averse to cleaning like me. The really great thing is that as well as pulling all the dirt out of rugs and carpets, you can also strip the unit down and wash the dust box and filters, you can blow through the fan and this means that the motor will not get clogged. Brilliant- get one.
Game changer: home and car are so much cleaner!
I was looking at getting a dyson handheld, but didn’t really need a new vacuum cleaner as our 20-year old DC02 is still going strong. Most friends recommend Shark over Dyson these days, so while researching I came across this little number on offer over Prime Week, and thought it was just the thing to reduce the palaver of cleaning a car parked on the street.
This is so easy to whip out and run over small areas, I’ve ended up using it to spot clean in the home, as well as the car. 15-20 minutes is enough to do a decent refresh. Initially it felt like it took a long while to charge, but I have changed how I clean now, doing a little bit every day, instead of a big clean once a week . . . and this works well for us. And it shows! I am continually surprised by how much that roller brush picks up! It is very easy to empty. All the attachments are useful in their own way.
The only thing I don’t like is how hair winds around the big roller brush: I’ve deducted a point for that. There’s clearly a lot of shedding going on in our household and but all the same, it is awkward and frankly a pain in the back-end to remove from my favourite attachment.
If any one has found a way to remove this easily please let me know!
And Shark: please get your research team onto that one . . . Make a near perfect product perfect.
Very good handeld vac
I’ve used this on a nearly daily basis for almost a year and it is very good. It has good suction and a good battery life. Ideal for spot cleaning without having to get the upright vacuum out.
Battery charges within a couple of hours which is a bonus and easy to empty too.
Recommended.

Bought one last November, it’s worked around the house for quick clean ups.
I’ve used it in my truck, cleans the cab bunk and floors great, fine dust no issues. With the motorised tool you’ll get about 10 minutes and without about 15.
Filters easily washed and replaced and all comes apart and can be cleaned out like in the photo, all in all handy and good little bit of kit.
I wanted a lightweight hoover, cordless, for my carpeted stairs and my car primarily and chose this mainly based on the positive reviews / videos, particularly the bunny lady one as I have indoor bunnies too!
Got to say I can’t speak for the longevity as it only arrived yesterday but..
So far I am mightily impressed.
I have hoovered my stairs and this mighty little hoover did a great job at picking up dust & dog hair.
I did the entire flight of 14 stairs then emptied. Suction is powerful, quality build and such a pleasant change to lugging my trusty Henry around!
The quick touch empty button is a great addition. Just hover it over the bin and the button releases the lot straight in!
There is a washable filter and a few tools which I haven’t tried yet but I am sure it will make short work of the car and those everyday messes that just need a quick blast.
So far I am very pleased and happily recommend.
Shark Handheld Cordless Vacuum with Pet Hair Tool
We bought this Shark Handheld Vacuum because we have a large dog and at this time of year she is moulting a lot of pet hair. After using this vacuum we were astonished the hair was pick up off the carpet and tiled floors. We are very pleased with this vacuum.

I have a dog who sheds a lot and a house full of hard floors. You’d think it would be easy to keep clean, but every time I turn around a doggy ‘tumbleweed’ rolls by. It’s amazing the dog has any fur left on his body. I was spending my life running around with a dustpan and brush. Until I bought this little Shark.
It is lightweight and easy to use. Brilliant on the stairs.
It has 3 heads – Pet hair / dusting / crevice tool.
The pet hair tool is very effective on soft furnishings – with the crevice tool finishing off round the edges. I imagine this will work well in the car, though I haven’t tried that yet.
The dusting head is my least favourite – it depends what I’m trying to dust – the shape of the space or ledge. I mostly use the Shark without any additional tools – just quickly whipping up little clouds of dog fur or grass from muddy boots or a cobweb I have spotted.
I struggled at first with the latch to open it to empty it – to me it isn’t very intuitive. I’d end up checking the markings on the button and then inadvertently emptying it all over the floor. The opening flap was also a bit sticky at first. But now I’ve got the hang of it and am fine.
The only negative is the 10 mins runtime. That’s enough to do the stairs but I doubt if I could do the car in that time.
Well worth i
Don’t normally leave reviews but this thing is better and more powerful than my Henry hoover. On Funafuti it plus dust out and hairs even after using the Henry and same on my carpet. Great product. My only issue is the container could do with being bigger in my opinion it only hols a small amount but not really a problem just means needs emptying regulars while using.
Just what I wanted
I had been looking for a rechargeable handheld for my motorhome. After doing some research this was recommended by several people (I have the corded Shark already at home). I have to say I am really impressed. I have a border collie who sheds loads, this did a good job of picking up the hairs using the carpet attachment, it also comes with a couple of other attachments. Overall very compact, easy to charge and easy to empty. I would definitely recommend.
Fantastic, well worth the money.
I was dubious of buying one so stuck with Shark as I have one of their hoovers. Glad I did! I have used it so many times already. One charge lasts a whole car clean with good results taking up sand pretty well, mud and dog hair! There isn’t much of warning for it shutting off but suction stays high right up until it goes.
Does the job
Only had this less than a week and what a difference. We have a Staff who just molts all year. We have had a Vax4 a Hoover pet hair jobby, we thought they did a decent job but this Shark is better. I did the stairs with one of our existing hoovers and went over it again with the Shark and got a full dust bin. Shark rules at the moment.
Powerful little sucker.
Really handy little vac and powerful, use it for car and bits and bobs around house. Doesn’t last long from full charge but I knew this before purchasing and so handy having no wires.
With the money
Works really well use it mainly for the sofa , stairs and when my toddler drops crumbs , so don’t have to drag heavy hoover about all the time. It has a powerful suction and once charged last a good while.
Worthwhile purchase.
Bought purely because I was getting fed up lugging our upright vacuum up & down stairs – and occasionally tripping over the power cord.
It works a treat – cleans the stair carpet in less than half the time taken with the upright. Haven’t had to use the pet tool yet – it seems to manage cat hair without it.
Can’t really comment on how long the battery lasts before needing to be charged – my first use only took 5 minutes – and recharging that only took about an hour. Maybe I’ll find out when I start vacuuming the car…
I’ve had several hand-held vacuums in the past, mainly for my car and always powered by plugging them into the car’s cigarette lighter socket. Invariably, they have been underpowered and would struggle to pick up anything other than dust – certainly not the gravel and bits that get into a car from one’s feet.
This time, I needed a vacuum not just for my car but also for dog hair and dust around the house. After researching several I went for this one. So far, I am very pleased. It is robust and very well made – it feels good quality in the hand – and the suction is excellent. It really does suck up all the gravel and bits on a car floor with no problem. The motorised hair device works well and picks up most dog hair, though I have noticed a few hairs clinging stubbornly to the fabric sofa, so I’ve had to deduct something for that (on leather, I suspect they’d all be vacuumed up). The only other negative is that you can’t charge it in your car, it has to be done by mains so can’t be charged in-journey. That said, the charge lasted long enough for me to vacuum not one but two cars yesterday, and that’s after I’d already used it for a minute or two in the house. So, overall, excellent, and nearly perfect.
Small and Mighty.
Another excellent vacuum from Shark. I bought this little powerhouse for our new motor home as it is compact and lightweight yet has a good bit of power, it comes with a lead to recharge it plus a crevice tool, motorised pet tool and a dusting brush. It had some charge in it when i took it out of the box but i put it on to fully charge after trying it out. I’ve used it 3 times now for a total of around 10 minutes and it still has charge in it. Its hard to tell how long is left in the charge as there’s no indicator but so far i’ve used it for the suggested run time so any more is a bonus.
Its very light weight at 1.2kg and easy to hold whilst using.
The different brushes are easy to fit and remove and there’s a yellow button you press for the bin container to open to be emptied. This would be great for vacuuming your stairs, settee or car too.
Brilliant little vacuum
I bought this on recommendation for my mobile home and it hasn’t made it out there yet because its so useful for the house.
Yes, 10 mins running time isn’t much but I can quickly hoover my living room , hallway and stairs and the suction is brilliant.
Very light weight so good for your car or your mum who hates how heavy a hetty is.
This is my 3rd shark type, I have the standard cordless, the super suction plug in but this is my fav by far.

This is great bit of kit for doing stairs, car and little bits around the house. Lasts longer than 10 minutes I think easy to empty. I also own a shark upright pet hoover for doing most of house as own a collie which is also brilliant bit of kit. Highly recommended bargain price. Oh charges in about 2 hours thanks David
If you've got pets, don't think twice!
This is an absolute life saver! I’ve got 3 cats, 2 of which have long hair so I’ve always got fur flying and sticking around to pretty much anything. This handy little device removes all the fur from furniture, rugs and carpets. The suction is great and easy to clean. I also use this around the house for minor vacuum needs instead of bringing out the heavy duty vacuum. The only downside to this device is how long you can use it after a full charge – about 8-10 minutes or so.

Great for the car and charges quick enough for me
This little piece of kit is an absolute marvel! It’s lightweight and easy to hold, but my goodness it packs a punch!
Small and light enough to get into tight hard to reach dust traps – but with really powerful suction! 3 interchangeable tools – a narrow nozzle, a small soft dusting brush (ideal for curtains, lampshades, upholstery, skirting boards) and a motorised roller brush which is fantastic for chair cushions, small rugs and awkard to get at gaps eg- between bed and bedside cabinet. All easy to switch from one to another, and although the info leaflet states 10 minute runtime on full charge, I’ve found it does at least twice that, even using the motorised head.
Easy to empty, neat little drop down dirt holder that will consume surprising amounts of cat hair and other debris before it needs emptying.

I love this Shark handheld vacuum cleaner. It is one my favourite domestic objects.
I was hesitant about spending so much money on a cordless vacuum. I have bought others ones in the past, but I have been let down by the suction power or the battery. This handheld is impressive, it is worth the money and does the job well.
I did not buy it for the pet tool, in fact I removed the brush head, which I don’t think is particularly useful. If you have hair it will get stuck on the roller head. It it great at picked up hair, with the normal suction head. It managed to pick up a lot of things.
The vaccume works really well. I used it for a few minutes and I noticed the dust container fill up very quickly.
Unlike a some Shark products, this is one is light and easy to handle.
The vacuum filter is washable, but I think it is worth ordering spares to save postage costs in the future.

Great device, short battery
Perfect device, just be warned the battery doesn’t last. It’s good as an accessory to a big hoover for small spaces. For the size of it, it’s quite a powerful machine. Bought it on sale and great bargain.
Compact and powerful
After seriously being ill I don’t have strength so this little beauty helps with stair’s and small jobs so not struggling with the large hoover it’s very powerful and compact would recommend plus getting it nearly half price helps. Brilliant piece of kit very happy.
A decent hand-held vacuum - at its original price!
I bought this for my uncle for helping to keep his house clean in between my visits. It is surprisingly effective (although it really could do with a bag to keep all the accessories that will now get lost).
I had thought of getting one for me. However, since buying it less than 4 months ago, the price has shot up 33% which is not justifiable even in the current climate. It’s good but it’s not that good. Maybe it’ll turn up in a sale but until then I would avoid it at this price.

Bought this to do the stairs and get pet hair off sofas. It works well, battery lasts a long time, came with 3 great accessories and suction is strong it gets up all the pet hair. It’s quite light and compact. Could do with an extender for the high to reach places.

Strong suction and a motorised brush!
This is superb. I bought it to use in the motorhome, and it has been terrific. The suction is like on a proper full sized corded vacuum, not like a dust busting device. The motorised brush does a great job on carpet, and furry lining material and the regular brush is great on upholstery and curtains. The crevice tool is good, but if I have one complaint I’d love to be able to buy an even smaller one to get into the tiny little gaps around the edges of stuff.
The size is a little bigger than a classing dust cleaning handheld, but a lot smaller than most full fledged cordless vacuums. Ideal for in a motorhome or caravan where space is limited, but you still need to clean properly.
I was concerned about the quotes 10 minute usage time, but I have never yet had this run out of battery while in use.
I got this for hoovering the stairs. It’s light weight with great suctioning power. It only takes me 2-3 minutes to vacuum the stairs so battery is not an issue. It only comes with 1 attachment though which isn’t ideal if you’re thinking about cleaning your car. Otherwise a great product. Better than the previous anaemic handhelds vacuum cleaners. Only notable issue is that hair gets stuck on the roller and getting it out is a pain.
I bought this on offer to replace another handheld vac we’ve had for years which I hate. The suction power and pick up of the Shark makes the old one look like a joke!
The rotating brushes pick up cat hair brilliantly from carpets and sofas. The power is strong enough to vacuum cat blankets and beds without sucking the fabric into the vac.
I’ve used it to vacuum carpeted stairs inbetween proper vacuuming sessions and may not use the big vac again! It also works well for spot vacuuming carpeted floors, even working on our deep pile carpet.
Our old one used to suck up crumbs, small stones etc on hard floors and then drop bits out again. The Shark sucks everything up and keeps it in.
Best of all, emptying is easy and you don’t have to get your fingers in there. Just open the chamber over the bin, press the button to give a quick spin to get everything out.
When our cylinder vac gives up we’ll be getting a Shark upright cordless based on the performance of this one.
Slightly addictive.
Powerful for a very small hoover, charge doesn’t last long and it’s louder than I expected but not too bad. I found it extremely useful and great for stairs and skirtings and cleaning up after plants I have it in the living room all the time as you can put it in a drawer instead of lugging the the hoover. I just do small bits at a time and move on to other things while it’s charging. I don’t have pets or anyone with long hair so can’t comment on that.

Battery only last about 10 mins but ive found thats more than enough for the jobs i purchased it for; stairs, cat fur from furniture and quick spruce of the cars. Sometimes awkward in the tighter parts of the cars but very impressive for its power!!
This is a great product which is really good value for money. It’s fairly lightweight and simple to use. The battery life if not amazing but in comparison to other products of a similar price range this seems to be the general life.
We bought this primarily for use on our stairs and for hoovering the car. We are really pleased with how simple it is to use.
Very handy vacuum
I have a big full sized Shark mains powered vacuum which is brilliant but a faff to get out for little jobs. This is very useful for a quick clean up and a charge seems to last a long time. I rarely fit the powered brush attachment, but it does work well. To be honest it’s main job is hoovering up flies, spiders, cobwebs and other bugs around the house! You can then release them outside if you want. Much better than trying to swat them with a rolled up newspaper.
Great for use in our motorhome. Picks up well. Doesn’t last long on the charge but I can get through the van quick enough. Only downside is it is difficult to clean hair etc out of the main tool. Hair gets stuck and you can’t get it out. Overall I recommend.
Didn’t cost much so did’nt expect much but its quite good a whole charge nearly does the stairs but there are two long haired cats in my house so cant expect to much !
I am happy enough with it doesnt take to long to charge fairly noisy but i guess i am used to having a quiet vacuum for other areas.
In many ways excellent; good suction, lightweight, easy to empty. However, the dust compartment is difficult to clean and so can become ‘doggy’ smelling as the pet dust that clings to the plastic sides can’t be completely removed. Changing the filters doesn’t completely stop a waft of dogginess when the machine is first switched on. Our dogs are rough and tumble country, muddy, dogs so I guess are a more of a smelly challenge than more refined creatures, but I do wish I could clean the dust compartment more easily.
Good:
– Good suction.
– Good reach.
– Easy to dismantle for a thorough clean-out, with washable filters.
– Rotating brush head works well and is nice and narrow to get where my main vacuum cleaner won’t go.
– Very conveniently placed on/off button.
– The whole device is very convenient to have sitting near at hand when I’m doing any woodwork. I can quickly clean up the sawdust as I go.
Not so good:
– Battery life isn’t very long, but is fine for frequent but brief uses, e.g. my woodwork comment above.
– Don’t drop it on its nose with the nozzle fitted. I did this and it took me an hour or so to get the nozzle out again because it had been driven in deeply. (Yes, it was my own fault.)
– Rotating brush head does not swivel. It would certainly be better if it did, except that this would seriously complicate the design. It’s not too hard to keep the head level, and that’s a small price to pay for the simplicity.
– I have found the dust compartment tricky to open, but I’d rather have that than a looser mechanism that might drop open while it’s in use. It doesn’t take long to get the knack.
Other reviews have said that the balance is bad, with the handle right at the end, but I disagree. My view is that this would reduce the reach with no great benefit. I’m far from being a massive body-builder, but I have no problem holding this device with the handle at the end.
Time save
I’m thankful for this. I have my grandchildren over and even though they are at the table or in their high chair or even snacking on the floor watching tv they can make a mess, but instead of getting the big hoover out this handheld is ideal for quickness.
Also for when my husband is drilling into a wall this is a great dust catcher. It’s a good all rounder. As long as you charge after each time you’ll never run out of charge. Happy days!

So far I love it. It was bought to pick up pet hair and seems to do that well. Finally I have found a handheld cleaner that has a fair bit of suction. Only draw back is that run time is a little short so you will be charging it often.

Fed up with cables, fed up with hassle of lugging a heavy object around the place-esp up and down the stairs. Completely fed up with emptying the good damn thing; so much dust not good when you’ve got allergies.
Decided on getting a handheld rechargeable vac but had to be powerful and quick to clean up the dust and hair. This is perfect; well almost- just wish it came with a storage bag that you could keep it in with the other few tools.; Least the battery is long lasting and its usb c. Also I wish the handle was slightly taller; or maybe there was an attachment that you could make it longer so when you’re doing the landing you don’t need to lean over as much.
Iv thrown the vac away so now apart using this I don’t have a vacuum cleaner and iv managed to clean all round the house from top to bottom on one charge without getting worn out in the process

Powerful but a long charge time
Bought this for my campervan and it works well. Three different heads to vacuum with too. Quite lightweight and powerful, runs a bit longer than the specs but does take a few hours to charge.
I ticked the box to be sent in own packaging – it came in its own box then in another box and then another huge box and masses of paper – so wasteful – a four hour charge for 10 mins run time? All this now is weighed up – a fabulous little cleaner – suction is the best i had from previous cleaners – this alone gets 10/10 – a little heavier than i expected tho – but for performance i cant fault i
I had another famous name hand vacuum which was never great and the battery went after 18 months. I have just bought a Shark hand vacuum to replace it (and the Shark was cheaper than the previous make I had)…. The best buy yet, so I’m buying other Shark products from now on as so impressed. A smashing well designed product, the long shape makes it easy to hoover stairs, reach cobwebs, easy emptying cartridge, powerful suction. Would well recommend.
We currently use a Miele Cat & Dog and it’s fantastic but what a chore to get it out for just a few seconds hence that’s why we brought the Shark. Its so so good, very lightweight, has great suction and copes very well with out pets hair – as good as the miele in my opinion. So if you’re looking for a great cordless vacuum then look no further, this one ticks all the boxes

Agreeing with another reviewer, I would like to see the on/off button re-positioned further away from the position where the unit it held. It is easy to accidentally turn off the unit whilst holding the handle.
I want a hand-held vacuum cleaner that does what it is supposed to. Reading the reviews for lots of them (and Amazon has a huge selection) they mostly fail on the suction. Review after review for various models suggests this is the weakest link.
With over three thousand reviews for the Shark CH950UKT I decided this was the one to buy. I’m pleased to say the suction is pretty good for the ten minutes or so battery time (it takes around four hours to recharge). The weight might be important to you, it’s 1.39kg (says the Shark website) and it comes with three attachments.
So far I’m pleased with the performance. Emptying the dust cup and washing the filter is easy. As with any plastic-made domestic electrical product, it needs to be handled carefully and it should last for some time.
Handy vac for small jobs
The ‘easy empty’ isn’t quite so easy as it often gets stuck, requiring a bit of force to open, which is a concern as to how long before it might break. Otherwise a nice hand held vac. Need to get used to taking finger off the power button otherwise find you keep turning it off once you start it, not really an issue as will get used to it. Ten minutes run time is quite short (especially compared to the other leading make, but that is a lot more expensive). However, as generally only used for very short time, it should be OK – time will tell.

Just brought this item I’m pleased with it so far hoovered my car didn’t do a bad job at all did a bit on stairs so far so good had to rush as battery life only ten minutes only negative so far suction seems decent.
Shark handheld vacuum
Having had a small Dyson before this is way better. It’s fantastic- lightweight, easy to clean, easy to use and has good suction. Even better still is the price.

This is a powerful and light cleaner so it is ideal for cleaning the front and back carpets of the car and sucking up the odd crumbs around your front room. I love this cleaner, it does just what I want it to do in my car and is easy to fit attachments or empty into the bin. Would give it 12/10. The charge lasts for 10 minutes which might be a drawback I suppose but , for my car, it is plenty of time.

Not a bad handheld vacuum. Great for the car, sofa and curtains. Pleased to say it charges in about 2.5 hrs, not 4 hrs as stated.
My Wife Loves It! (Not being sexist)
My wife asked me to find a replacement for her ageing handheld vacuum. We have 2 cats and the previous one wasn’t great for pet fur but she’s praised this one since we got it – happy days!
Great for stairs, car, small rooms and small messes.
Much better than I thought, for the price. Easy to empty, though not much capacity. Can walk room to room and up stairs for lots of small patches on one charge, or 1-2 normal rooms, with no swapping plugs or trailing wires.
A longer extension to save bending down and it would replace my main vacuum cleaner for everything but as is it’s just for stairs, car and little messes like baking, pets and children.
How did I live without my handheld Shark?!!
I was brute about buying this product as some reviews suggested it is not very good at picking up from carpet and that was hat I needed it for. Really glad I made the purchase – lightweight, easy to use and great suction. I’ve found that the battery lasts longer than 10 minutes too – I have been able to complete my task each time without running out of charge.

I have had several hand-held vacuums and haven’t liked any – until now. People moan on reviews that it has a long (4 hour) charge-time and a short (10 minute) cleaning time. The reason that the clean time is short is that it has powerful suction and 10 minutes is plenty for what i want it for – it’s not supposed to be your main house vacuum cleaner. The power-brush carpet attachment works really well. Couldn’t be happier with a quality item for little money.

I used it at car and with a generous usage of the battery finished the floor mats of the front seats (approx 30 mins) I guess I would have finished the whole job if my car was not this dirty and I was a bit more careful in using the machine. I am leaving some before after photos. All in all, I can recommend this product.

Loved this. I have a big shark but it’s not always practical to get it out for smaller messes so having this is fab for those moments. Also is great for the car and stairs.
Handy little vacuum!
I bought this to use mainly for my car. I managed to do all four foot wells and the seats and car mats without losing power. I had been a bit worried it wouldn’t do it all based on another review, but I had no problems at all!
I’ve also ended up using it for the sofa and those hard to reach places like under furniture. It’s so light weight and handy. It is much easier than getting the whole normal vacuum out for little jobs.

Perfect Foil For Our Main Hoove
We have a shark for our main hoover so thought why not go for one as a handheld. Glad we did. Great suction. Easy to use. Good variety of attachments. Not sure of length of battery use but it was enough to do stairs, sills and a few cobwebs!! Very light. All in all very happy!!
