Excellent service delivered sooner than expected. I have 3 electric die cutting machines but wanted a manual one. This is a fantastic machine and easy to use, plates are labelled clearly so you know what order to make your cutting sandwich in.
A required upgrade
I’ve had the regular sized cutter for a while but somehoe managed to order a die for the A4 machine. I could have returned the die but I decided to upgrade instead. The bigger dies – in this case a box template – are much more useful ratherthan just decorative so with the amount of them I’ve just cut, this machine has more than paid it’s way already. Just as simple to use as the standard, I recommend upgrading.
Great value, great produc
I’ve never used one of these before and this one was priced well. It was very easy to use with excellent results. I have used frameluts snd thinlets and bigz all with good affect. No snagging or tearing. It is bulky to store, about the size of a shoe box and weighty. ( but it is essentially a weighted roller so it has to be). I would def by again. Good value, easy to use and great results.
Amazing piece of equipme
Easy to use, easy to set up, tried it out straight away and it cuts through card,paper and adhesive foil paper perfectly with the sissix dies that arrived in the starter kit. Looking forward to using it for all my card making needs

Lovely machine so much bigger than my previous one though, it is very heavy but I can do so much more with it. Obviously takes up more room, but quite often do my cutting on the floor now by my chair.
Good value
I like the smaller as well as the larger cutting machines. It’s handy for smaller dies and more portable. Thoroughly recommend it. No matter how you rotate the plates they still bow.

I like the results
Overall I have loved using the Sissix machine to make all my Christmas cards this year and I’m sure I shall continue to make more greetings cards and embellishments for scrapbooking etc. I have a couple of negative comments about the plates between which the cutters and paper are fed into the machine: the dies cut into these plates and they soon become very scored: the top plate bends as it goes through the machine and stays that way: the side of the thinner plate has become rough and a bit chewed as it passes through the machine.

The big shot is Such great machine
I had an old big shot well worn over 8 years old. A gear broke on it and the only replacement gear I could source was from Russia!!! This Machine cost only a little more than the price of the gear and it was from the UK.
It is reconditioned and came with new plates and platform.
I am so pleased with this purchase and will happily use this seller again .

Reliability and quality
I have owned a Sizzix Big Shot for 15 years and it was much loved…. so I was more than happy to replace it with another and I am just as pleased with this one. Thoroughly recommend it.
Useful machine, the kit not so much
Well it’s simple to use; good to fold away – not sure how long the cutting pads will last as they get etched straight away! Rubbish dies that come with it tho; small heart, flower parts, twig, larger hearts, flower parts, twig and butterfly. If you’re ordering this may aswell get some dies at the same time! Have ordered plenty off various sites and will see which work with this machine. Useful for my new card range.

Ordered through Amazon. Great item which is well made though the clear plates do get badly marked and become slightly misshapen very quickly. I was pleased I had read other reviews on Amazon otherwise this would have worried me.
I bought this as a gift for my partner -Her words to me after using it a few times .. Impressive piece of kit!
So while personally have not used it, based on her comments I can confidently say it was money well spent!
Passion Flower die
love this machine, it is my second one, had the first for years + so thought I would get another just in case. I cannot fault the Big Shot Plus at all, it is a great machine, I have a electric one also but go bag to my Big Shot all the time and my friend has just bought one also. I have yet to find a die that will not cut on this machine

I’ve been waiting for years to own this machine after watching so many YouTube videos but it doesn’t exist in Kenya so I got a friend of mine from the UK to bring and I absolutely love it!
Used it to make Valentine’s Day cards and will be using it for baby cards, birthdays and anything and everything! It cuts dies so we’ll and gives amazing impressions of embossing folders.

Plastic covering on plate what goes on top of bottom plate and before A plate is corroded
Only problem I have is the plate that goes on to your bottom plate and before your clear A plate is that the sides of plate (plastic)seem to curl up either side and it keeps getting stuck in the roller part so I will have to replace it very soon or the problem is just going to get worse and I wont be able to use it at all

A lack of large box dies available for this machine!
The machine is excellent… but available box dies appear not to make full use of the large platform of this particular product most appear to be suitably generic to all machines across the range (small to large) hence they tend to be on a miniature scale… larger selection of large box dies need to be available to make it worth buying this product.
Use of actual machine
Not sure why as following all the instructions on platform use carefully but it is so hard to get the plates platform and whole ‘sandwich’ under the roller. It takes two of us and a lot of fiddling and pressure to finally get the plates through. Perhaps someone could shed some light.

I am so happy. Love my machine. I cannot unerstand why I didn’t buy this one in the first place. Wide mouth and long plated for those large dies A4 and even bigger, and of course deep for the Bigz dies. Believe it or not IT IS quicker than an electric. Yes it’s a big machine so takes up more counter space but so worth it.

The size of the Big Shot is not too big but it certainly cuts with ease.
Although I have numerous die cutting machines the Big Shot is by far the best.

Why did I not buy one of these before??? This machine is fantastic. It even cuts thin felt . . . so no more fiddly cutting out numbers for advent calendar. I am really pleased with my purchase and can highly recommend. Still experimenting and excited like a child at Christmas – the possibilities that come with this machine are endless. The warping of the plates can be reduced by turning them over occasionally and a cracking noise is normal (even my electronic one does this). As for the dies marking the plates this is only natural as the dies have sharp edges, it happens on all machines be they manual or electronic. I ensure I use the same plate for the dies to cut into. On my old machine which I had for 15 years I only replaced the plates once. The new machine plates appear to be wearing well. As for dies not cutting through completely this is down to the die. I purchased a multi purpose platform which is a great help but there are still some dies in my collection that need extra padding – I usually just put a couple of sheets of printer paper in the relevant area. As for the types of dies, I use all kinds – big names to foreign imports (from Amazon). I find these great value though it usually takes several weeks for them to arrive. I suppose it is down to different people have different expectations but so far I have not been disappointed.

Great for mass-production, not economical for infrequent use
I think this is overpriced considering the simplicity of the mechanism – it’s basically just a small mechanical mangle. It would be better if there was some kind of stabiliser either side of the compressing roller to keep the plastic plates from bending so much over time and use, and it’s a shame that the plates get so spoilt by the dies, which get actually embedded in the plastic. Other than that, it does what it’s meant to do. Sissix dies are very pricey, so you need to have lots of use for each one to make this an economical way of producing shapes.

I have only just started my crafting hobby and I must say that although I know absolutely nothing about these little gadgets I’m loving my Big shot. It’s very easy to use and seems to cut any dies. I don’t really have any criticisms. It is well worth the 55 and would definitely recommend it. A sample die included would have been nice though.

I am having so much fun with this big shot it’s an amazing bit of kit a must have for all crafters. The things you can make are endless . When I first used it I noticed a bit of a cracking sound but that’s perfectly normal just view the videos that come with the dies and it tells you all you need to know. It comes with all the plates to start but you will need some dies and card to make your craft .

Very good quality product. Have used it a number of times. You have to ensure you have the space at the back to run the large plates through.
I’m new to to die cutting, this came quickly, easy to use, and folds up snugly, so takes up not too much space. I have not used it that often yet, but so far do good.

Sizzix White/Gray
This product is ready to use straight out of the box, all of the cutting dies work perfect only for the Butterfly die which has to be rolled back and forth through the machine two or three times.
This is my first time giving card making a try and I was surprised at the size of the two plates which is used to sandwich the card and cutting dies, although it’s an ok size for a beginner like me. They are quite small. But over all a good product for a beginner.

This is a smooth tool and works like a dream. Makes card making so much more productive. Can use all my existing dies too. The plates are a little weaker than I expected an marked easily but they do the job. My only regret is not getting a bigger one because I’m now addicted!
i’ve been having so much fun with this machine cutting fabric pieces for applique but of course it’s costing me a fortune in the bigz dies!!! my only criticism is that it doesn’t explain that the cutting will mark the sandwich plates so i had a nervous breakdown the first time i used it and had to phone a friend to find out what i had done wrong. when i had calmed down i had a wonderful time and ordered more dies……

Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase. The machine itself is easy to handle and is quite compact when folded up, which is great for storage. The only negatives were that the dies that were included were not exciting and it would have been great to have a booklet with some examples of what could be achieved using this machine.
This was bought as an Amazon warehouse purchase. I was disappointed it only had one clear mat with it not the expected two. But I needed it that day so made do. It’s put me off buying warehouse buys because clearly someone bought this, removed the item they wanted and returned it, knowing that it would not be noticeable in a product check unless you know this product. The machine itself is very good. The extra 2″ compared to the smaller machine means fabric does not have to cut to the 6″ width, but can be folded underneath so saving wastage. I can lift this with my arthritis, but would not be able to manage the product larger than this.
This was bought as an Amazon warehouse purchase. I was disappointed it only had one clear mat with it not the expected two. But I needed it that day so made do. It’s put me off buying warehouse buys because clearly someone bought this, removed the item they wanted and returned it, knowing that it would not be noticeable in a product check unless you know this product. I bought it as a present for my sister and she is so pleased with it!!! It works perfectly and its size allows her to carry out projects she couldn’t make before. The package and delivery were correct although it arrived two days after the due date.
Bought this for my other half, she had a small starter kit but being a woman, she wanted a big one and she’s so happy with this one. She can do so much more that she couldn’t before and to make it even better, I bought it at a really good special price,a bargain. She is happy, I am happy, life is good!

I was given an XPRESS craft machine it only worked about 6 times, not well then broke. My. Sizzix replaced it and it has been so good.

I love using my Bis Shot Plus. Its easy to use and I love crafting with it whenever I need to craft something wither it is a card, scrap booking or simple just cutting out small shapes using different die cuts. I’m still new to the whole die cutting and I am finding new ways to explore with this every day and its the perfect size to. I made the perfect choice in this right machine for me.
I love the Big Shot and use it frequently. It is best if one can leave it out and ready for use as it doesn’t fold away for storage or on the go crafting. Bear in mind you may want to add accessories such as magnetic platform, precision cutting plate etc.
This is a great machine for cutting fabric for quilting or for doing cards. I use it mainly for quilting projects and its so easy and quick I wouldn’t want to be without it. Grand children use it for doing card and paper projects and spend hours happily entertained.

I’ve got other machines but they struggled to cope with my bigz dies especially cutting fabric. I was skeptical it would be improved by the big shot, but am so glad I went for the big shot. It exceeded my expectations
Just still getting the hang of my big shot plus. I love the size but haven’t really put it through its uses yet only used for embossing and die cut. I love it. Only down side is the plates are marking card from dies that I have used before. I don’t know how to solve this problem other than putting a sheet of paper under the plate.
I ordered this via Prime so it arrived the next day. Unfortunately the screw package to attach the handle was missing. I contacted Ellison/Sizzix via their UK website and they immediately posted me a replacement set first class so it arrived the next day. I’m delighted with the product and they service I received.
N.B. I was a little unsure about what would be included given that it says ‘machine only’ and that is what is pictured but elsewhere it says it included the other necessary items. The whole package is the machine, handle set, extended multi-purpose platform and two clear plates. It is so versatile I wish I’d bought one sooner.
ordered just after xmas, came on new years eve. very easy to put together and have played with it ever since. some dies are a problem to cut but i think its more the die than the machine and a small shim over the affected area works wonders.
Brilliant machine. Perfect working order for dies and embossing. I have used a few big shot machines over the years but have to say that this is the best one I have had. Prompt service from supplier.

Smooth and easy crank action , stable, not too heavy to move . Easy to use work surface and not as bulky as I expected.
The instructional plate and extra shims so helpful.
Fits multiple make dies and embossing folders . easy clean and to personalise too if you like
I already have a Cuttlebug but I needed something to cope with the larger size card making projects. I was not disappointed as it was such a bargain with the adaptor plates included.
I upgraded from my original big shot to this Big Shot Plus because it cuts an A4 size card and I can cut much more in one go.
