Does what it says, motion sensor picks up when the shed door is open in twilight. Bright light, easy to find things when it is night time.

So clever! We now finally have a light in our shed without the need for running an electricity supply down there.
Works 90% of time and has stayed working for some months.
I needed the solar detector to be separate from the light as it is used to illuminate a dark passage way. If there is a lot of traffic back and forth the light loses power but for the most part is reliable and bright enough most of the time. Can recommend.
Solar panel that works
Usually these solar panel lights etc are hit and miss. This works really well and provided enough light as a courtesy light, ensuring you can get from a to b. The pir works well and is not adjustable. The light is not what I would call a security light, so if you are expecting the same amount of light as your 500w halogen floodlight you will be disappointed. It is difficult to describe a light, but it provides enough light to find your way, without blinding you, should you be walking towards the ligh

‘Plug and play’ no setup required, just plug the panel into the light and it works. Mounting is simply a case of drilling the mount into a wall and inserting the light/panel into the mount. I use it in my garage which I would say is the ideal place for it – the panel is outside which charges the battery during the day and detects when it is dark, the wire is thin enough to go through the gap in the door, then the light is mounted about half-way down my garage on the ceiling. In the dark, it activates when it detects the door opening and is bright enough to fill the garage easily, and promptly turns itself off once I have left. Not only is this an easy, eco-friendly lighting solution but it saves running cables from my house

This is definitely value for money, took a couple of days to charge but it was put up in October not much sunlight, very impressed, I am going buy another.
Only one downside if another light is on it won’t come on. Other than that it works great.

Great light for the side of my house as I can position the solar panel around the corner to catch the sun.

Found this little light very useful for lighting up a passageway next to the house. Motion sensor works really well and shuts off quickly when no motion detected. The solar panel can easily be positioned to get the most sun, using the cable provided. Very pleased with our purchase.

This light is okay for a small area.
I needed a light for a corner of my garden that is a bit dark and this light fits the bill. A little brighter would have been better but it does the job. But not ideal for a large area. The sensor is very sensative and there is no adjustment for that. But the light if gives off is adequate for me.
Well worth it -update
I was dubious about this. But it’s brilliant. No it wont work in a shed in daylight. The light sensor is on the solar panel so if light outside it doesn’t turn on. I never bought it for that.
It lights up the back area for the partner going out for a cig. Sensor is sensitive which is good.
We haven’t been out all night to drain it, the winter months will see how it goes but so far even on the gloomy days here in scotland seems to charge well.

Well after nearly 1.5 years LED’s have started to fail on the panel. Yep it’s been exposed to the elements but I didn’t and wouldn’t expect failure. Over the last 2 weeks 4 more leds have went off.
Such a shame as one of the better products I have bought!

Bright spark
I don’t know how long this light’s solar panel will stand up to a UK winter or how long the battery will also last but regardless of that, its great value for money. Easily installed and the light is very bright indeed. Perhaps not the arc of motion detection of some competitors but still good enough and sensitive to motion.
So far, no false alarms but you might want to site it away from any sudden heat sources e.g. the outlet flue of a boiler or similar which could / might set it off.

Very easy to install, good length of cable and has been working well for months now. The reason I have only given it four stars is because it has no off switch, if you want to turn it off you need to unplug the solar panel so it can’t charge the battery, I would have liked to be able to disable the light whilst allowing the battery to charge.

Bright light & motion detection works only when it’s dark
A very nice light. Using it for my doorstep which has a small roof over it. Lights up the area (about 2 metres by 4 metres) brightly. Some other solar panels can be a bit dim. Also main feature for me is that it only works when it is triggered in the dark. Previous battery ones I’ve had came on anytime just motion detection. Very simple to set up, fix it up and done. Highly recommended.
A great value solar-powered external ligh
I installed the unit to provide lighting in a shed without power. Having the unit in two parts is really helpful, as I was able to mount the solar panel on an external wall. The two parts plug together with a generous length of cable.
I would judge the lamp as extremely good value for money – the light output is good and the general construction is both waterproof and robust.

I the light on my boat with the solar panel outside & the light on the inside, it’s excelent, no batteries, no fuss, just comes on (via sensor) when I walk on to the boat. ‘maybe’ repels intruders as well.

Put on a boat on wheelhouse. I was surprised you couldn’t manually set this one up (time and sensitivity Etc.. ). But it came on when dark and motion near. Lot wheelhouse entry well. All good
Simple, well made, good value
This is an excellent product – so much so that I bought another. Very simple as it has no settings – it just works when it goes dark & stays on long enough. Has now survived 2 winters, on which was very wet.
Better that more expensive alternatives.

So far so good. Put the solar panel where I get the sun and put the light round the course where I need it in the path. Perfect light, doesn’t light the whole place up and blind the neighbours but puts a nice white light in the path and near the bins where I need it. Got it up on the wall easy enough and so far so good. Really good sensitivity and control over the angle you want the solar panel and the light itself. Recommend.

This is one of those occasions where I looked for a product, didn’t find it and put up with things for ages until I refined my search and ‘Voila!’ found just what I want.
The front door is on a north facing wall. Where I live they helpfully turn off street lighting at night (so why have it at all!!?) to save money. This means that the front door is in relative darkness. There is a light on a nearby wall but it is masked with a massive climbing hydrangea and there’s no power on the wall near the door to set up a better placed light. It looked like the hydrangea had to go or be severely cut back which would have been a really big job and a shame because at twelve foot high and close on twenty foot wide it looks spectacular when in flower.
I spotted this which allows me to fit the light inside the porch and the solar panel outside. It took about an hour to fix but most of that time was spent looking for suitable screws – it does come with its own fixing kit but I was attaching to the PVC porch and not to a wall so I wanted something which had more bite.
As I said earlier it is on the north facing side of the house, it is February and the weather the last few days has been decidedly grey. I put it up around noon and it was charged and doing its thing by six pm. So it is easy to fit and very bright. Can’t comment on motion detection because it’s mounted inside a porch a foot or so above head height so it doesn’t need to be that sensitive in order to work for me, it comes on when I open the door to go out and when I come back and that’s all I need.
It seemed to have a bit of a charge when it arrived because the light flashed when I took the bits out of the box and connected them up. It didn’t light up immediately when I assembled it, the plug which connects the cable from the power supply to the lamp needed to be pushed home and twisted to make a good contact – and that wasn’t really a problem just part of the assembly process. There’s also a minor pimple in the surface of the otherwise smooth solar panel, obviously I don’t know yet if this will affect durability.
Overall I am very pleased with this product and would buy it agai

So easy to install and works perfectly. Much brighter than my existing 240v security light. Installed it in the middle of winter and there is still enough charge for it to work well. Better and half the price than a similar one I got from my local garden centre. I am going to buy more for other parts of the garden.

Fit for purpose
I got this to illuminate the garden path when coming in the back way so the missus can see where she’s going.
Previously she would blunder around in the dark like a blind tortoise, whilst I followed dutifully behind.
Now she races down the floodlit path like an alcoholic at opening time.
I love getting free power from the sun. Works beautifully, stays on just long enough, took five mins to fit.

Easy to erect and have working within 20 minutes as long as weather is dry.
I have now purchase 2 of similar lights, 1 for the back and one for the front.

Solar security ligh
I bought this to light up pathway at side of house, this light is really easy to install, it took a maximum of 10 minutes to completely install (although screws supplied with product are rubbish). The cable from solar panel to light is about 10ft in length so can give you lots of options as where to place both, the sensor on light detects movement from 25ft away and the light is quite bright and lights the entire pathway, it stays on for about a minute or whilst there is movement. Only had the light installed for a few days and everything is great, will update if anything changes after bad weather and rain, but current opinion is great light for price.
Has worked well for over 12 months.
It’s a year since I bought this light and it has worked faultlessly during that time even though it is mounted in an exposed position.
After this amount of time I feel confident in buying another.

I simply cable tied the light and separate solar panel to the old broken outside electrical lights as I was in a hurry…. so far it’s working fine so I will get round to fixing it up properly
Excellent first impressions.
Installed yesterday, nice and easy to do no setup required as such. When it gets dark, the motion sensor triggers the light. It’s not super bright or anything – more like the light your fridge gives off! But that’s plenty to move about in the space I got it for. It’s not gonna deter idiots tho. If it lasts the year I’ll be happy for the 20 it costs.
Fit for use
I brought this to fit in a dark garage for the winter nights.
The light it gives is just the right amount to see and not blinding, the motion-sensing is brilliant, the wire between the light and solar panel is nice and long. The mounting system is great Highly recommended.

Can’t help but think that most of the poor reviews are from people who have incorrectly located it or didn’t consider what it was, before ordering. For what it is, it is excellent. I have it at the end of the garden, to provide light at night for my 2 rescue dogs, as they get used to their surroundings and so 8 can keep an eye on them. Light unit is located under the eaves of the shed, with the sensor on the roof. Cable hides away beautifully. Took 10 mins to put it all up and it looks the business and works very well. Ideally it could be a tad brighter, but it’s solar powered. Very happy.
Before you purchase, read some reviews and read and reread the description, so you know what you’re buying. Some of the critical reviews has be in stitches because people were complaining it wasn’t charged or was going off too regularly, but it sounded like that was all the fault of where the unit was sited. Hey-ho.
Great - until it filled with water after heavy rai
This was a great product and worked well… until it died after filling with rainwater after a storm. However the company replaced the unit without a quibble!
Very bright light, recharges quickly. Excellent for locking gates in the dark at night. Also the solar panel charger can be located a good distance from light – especially useful if the area being illuminated does not get much sun.
long life and brigh
had this a while to replace the same unit that someone broke which lasted a couple of years, never had a problem with these they seem to charge in cloudy but bright weather(unusual) and for the price I think they are great lights
if the makers see this, my only gripe is I couldn’t find an extension cable for this as the standard, though long, wasn’t quite long enough to place where I wanted to, but that a minor problem, good light though would buy anothe
Useful effective lighting
Bright light provides great illumination. He long lead provided enables the solar panel to be positioned easily so the light can be put in places which do not get a lot of dayligh

Fixed light one side of log cabin and solar panel on the opposite side to obtain more sun. After a couple of days charging iy works well with good illumination and motion detection. These are never going to replace mains powered floodlights but are very good for illuminating entrances etc.

Been fitted a few weeks now, works great under a tinted car port with the solar panel screwed to the back wall, gives off great light, the ability to run the panel away from the light was the whole reason I get this item, I’ll be getting another for the inside of my shed once it’s built.

We wanted a light in an outbuilding that meant we didn’t have to keep switching on the main lights (several bulbs and strip lights) to halp save electricity and make life easier.
This works really well.
The light / sensor is just above the door to illuminate the inside, but the solar array is outside connected by a decent length cable to the side of the building.
So, walking in the light just comes on and it goes off a minute or so (45 seconds?) after we’ve left – easy and, as long as it lasts us a few years, it’ll work out much cheaper than having to keep putting on all of the lights when we really only need light at the entrance end of the building – we keep an extra fridge / freezer and our bikes there, so rarley need to have light further into the building.

The light’s battery charges really quickly and sufficiently even when it’s overcast. Both the light and the battery withstand the rain very well (although some rust showed relatively quickly on the screws). The light is bright and keeps long enough to lock the garage door and walk back home. I would recommend this light.

With them only coming on when you walk by they work well over winter as well as summer.
You can also put the light quite a distance from the solar panel so you can put the light in a dark area while charging the panel on a sunny wall.

Simple but good quality
Very bright light, simple but cost effective. Doesn’t have the manual adjustments or settings of a more expensive type/version I have had before. But seems decent quality and does what I need it too, sensor and light.
I needed a flood light for the passage way on the north side of my house and I didn’t want to have to drill holes through the wall for a power supply. I mounted the lamp pointing down the passage, and was able to mount the solar panel around the east side. The wire wasn’t quite long enough to mount the panel where I wanted, so it had to go under the gutter. It was midday on a wet January day after the sun had gone round the south side of the house when I put up the solar panel, so I was very pleased to find that same evening that the light was already working. The light sensor works as it only comes on in the dark and the motion sensor will detect a person at the other end of the passage (about ten metres away). Only 4 stars because of the quality. The screws are very soft and I seriously doubt the claimed IP65 enclosure rating, particularly as the solar panel plugs into the lamp with a dc coaxial connector.

I bought another make, with a silly switch on the back of the solar panel. It was impossible to see whether the switch was ‘on’ or ‘off’. Anyway, the light worked for a few weeks (until the pre-charge in the battery ran out?) and then stopped. By that time it was too late to send it back.
This unit is simpler – no switch – and so far it works fine. There is no adjustment for duration of illumination or degree of darkness before it will light up, but it gives a good level of light and seems to come on when needed.

Brilliant ligh
Installed above our garage door and is quite a bright light which now illuminates our side entrance. Light stays on for the right amount of time, long enough to put rubbish in the bin or walk from car to the side door. It’s been quite cloudy here for the past couple of weeks and some of our other solar items are not charging fully so we’ll see how this goes as it could be working just from it’s initial factory charge, but I’m impressed at the moment.
One month later….. still working but now comes on whenever motion is sensored – even in full daylight. There aren’t any switches to alter this, anyone know how?

Very easy to put up. The 5mt wire enables positioning of solar panel in best position. Motion sensor works well and the light is brighter than I expected. Dark area down the side of my house to the garage is now well lit when I need it.

Easy to fit and because the light and solar panel are separate the light can be placed in a spot not in the sun. Seems to charge well and the light is bright enough to light our front door steps.
Very basic but cheap.
This design of light lacks any controls over range, sensitivity, light intensity for switching off/on, etc. The light comes on only when it is dark – as assessed by a sensor on the solar panel. This works fine but if you want to put the light in a place that you need lit even in daylight it will fail. The light is perfectly adequate for a shed, porch, small garage etc. The screw holes in the mounts were small and needed drilling out – easy. djustment of angles is via ball and socket joints on panel and light. Very simple to fit. How robust is it? Not built like a battleship and probably won’t put up with many knocks etc but if it is out of the way it should last a couple of years, perhaps more. Ask me in 2021!

This light is great, working well, comes on when I’m halfway down the path (about 15′ from sensor) and goes off shortly afterwards (around 15 seconds). The first one had a faulty seal so let water in when we had a storm but it was replaced without a problem within a few days, great customer service. would buy again without hesitation.
This is a very good solar light. The fact that you can have the light in a different place from the solar panel is a real bonus. It means you can position the panel facing the sun,and the light around a corner facing away,maybe on a different wall. Brilliant.
