A really cool and elegant lightsabe
It’s a really cool looking saber with a lot of extra cool features, such as removing the crystal, the blade and the changing colour. It’s not too heavy either.
It’s not as easy to grab and keep hold of as the Black Series Luke skywalker lightsaber for example. But that is a minor problem. Well worth the price
It’s good but not grea
Like most of the other replica savers from the back series line or the old fx hasbro etc it’s over sized and makes it impractical to hold. Nice design, love that the spikes around the base of the ‘blade’ move and the stand for this one is very nice (anyone with the kylo saber fear not, this ones decent).
Disappointed that without the blade but with the crystal inserted it will only shine red but overall doesn’t take much away from it.
Conclusion – I would buy it knowing this all before hand but it’s not a knockout.
For practical use there are plenty of quality sabers available on Amazon and of course elsewhere.

Gorgeous sabre! Loads of people saying about it disconnecting, i think they dont realise you need to push the balde into the hilt and twist it a little so it locks in place rather then just push it in. Not a single problem with it and am very very impressed. Sound quality is very good, you can tell its a high build quality and justifies the price. Is a collectors item though, if you are looking to ger one to battle with you do not want this, you want to look into a heavy dueling sabre

Push down blade and turn before using.
I was a bit hesitant to pick this one up, having read numerous bad reviews. But it’s Revan so I figured I’d take the chance. I’m glad I did. The key here is that the new Black Series are like the Legacy sabers available at Galaxy’s Edge, in that have to push the blade down and turn it to lock it in place. Most of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews are fixed by doing so.
Overall, this is a great saber. The new effects (blaster deflect, door cutting) are really nice, and I really appreciate the color change effect. One can be Jedi Revan or Sith Revan, depending on your mood. I love the kyber crystal, as well.
Overall, ignore the haters who didn’t read the instructions. This is a very nice saber, and a MUST for KOTOR fans.
Color and effects are darn good!
Initially had doubts when everything for this double bladed saber was in a 2″ x 3′ tube.
However, it was easy to assemble with the provided tools and given instructions.
Like they are USB rechargeable, solid construction and clear SFX (3 modes + mute which is nice sometimes).
Lighting is bright and clear as are sounds, individually.
Reality is, yes 16 colors, but to me it was more 8 dark, 8 light. Not really a negative, but not a positive, so
neutral on that rating. 4/5 stars over all.

Great collectors item!
Great product. Although its costly you get what you pay for in terms of value for money. It makes a great display piece for any star wars fan or fans of the character Revan. I was slightly disappointed that the box was damaged and it didnt come in any packaging it was just handed to me as it was. That being said nothing inside was damaged and it all works fine as of writing this reveiw.

Fantastic product.
Hasbro Black Series have produced an excellent Saber which looks great with the removable blade or on display with the high quality stand. You also have the option of charging a kyber Crystal inside the hilt which will also glow red or purple when removed and displayed. Highly recommended.

Everything works great, and everything looks great except the blade.
The Visual appearance of the hilt is accurate and top notch. The buttons work as they’re supposed to, and the colors change and the effects activate without issues. The blade and the crystal fit and lock in the hilt without problem.
Not sure if it’s with over $200, but it’s a very nice display piece.
The problem I have is with the condition of the blade. At first glance, it seemed fine. But after further inspection, it has these smudged and scratched lines that go all along, perpendicular to the blade. The scratches become more apparent in the dark, when the blade is turned on.
I’m considering requesting a replacement.
Lightsaber review
This is the first Force Effects lightsaber I bought. The item came in 3 days ahead of schedule and the box was a little beat up. When I opened the box with the lightsaber it was was not damaged in anyway and everything was in the box.
Pros
This light saber is a lot lighter than what you think it is. I had no issue with taking the blade cap off and getting everything to work. Pretty straight forward setup. The glow of the blade is bright and the sound effects are nice. This may very per person but I really like the design and the grip of this lightsaber. A lot of people don’t like the grip because of the three metal claws that are on the sides. I didn’t find any issue with them and the grip when I held it.
Cons
As nice as this lightsaber is, there are some cons. I would have liked the blade to be a little brighter than it is. I would have also liked the speaker to have been much louder than it is as well. If you are waving this around it can be kind of hard to hear at times.

But there was no outer cover to the box was wet and looked like it was battered.The item was working and that’s the main thing,but if it’s for a present I dont think I’d recomend getting the item from here.

This is made of metal, it feels sturdy and solid. the sounds are loud and crisp and the blade is bright and excellently animated. it looks gorgeous and im very happy with it.

Great for displaying! The leds in the blade is the best I have seen for ignition and especially the way it slowly moves down the blade when you extinguish it. That said, the hilt is awkward to hold due to the design, so not great for actual use as a blade. Likely not that durable either as it uses the same removable blades they have at Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World. I was surprised that the crystal piece is not used WITH the blade…you have to choose one of the other.

i have to say im well impressed with this saber first of all the shape of the box is excellent the first force fx lightsaber with an angled box love it then when you open it the saber is awesome looking very mean and nasty i would say after collecting these since 2005 this is the best.. the blade turns white when you strike it and the end changes colour when you hold the green button amazing..the sound is really loud and crisp..if you are a collector make sure you contact customer services to state you need the item boxed before shipping, that way it WILL arrive to you in mint condition and they are very helpfull and it will not have dents or stickers over the original box.this also has a seperate crystal that you put in the hilt which when taken out still glows really cool saber a great addition to the collection..metal hilt, loud sound,blade colour change,removable blade ,mean looking and great box what more do you want!!!!
This is a superb saber and the first Elite saber I have bought. It’s got a good quality feel to it with lots aof additional features you don’t get with the older force FX sabers. Detachable blade, kyber crystal, flash and blaster deflect functions, the ability to change colours from red to purple at the touch of a button – all extra and quite technical. Even the slower ignition sequence is an improvement over older sabers.
The downsides are, it’s difficult to hold and dual with, so it’s really only for display or cosplay. Maybe some light dueling but I personally wouldn’t. The blade is slightly shorter than older force FX sabers. As a collector, very happy.
I see some reviews saying that the blade wasn't working/ need to push down for it to work. When I first assembled it I had to look at the instructions before I realized that you have to insert the blade, then twist to lock it in place for it to work correctly.

It's a great saber - sadly, mine has a bent blade.
Really love this saber. And it’s nice to have something from the old Expanded Universe for a change 🙂
Knights of the Old Republic has a special place in my heart – lot of good memories playing that game.
So when I found out they were making Revan’s saber – I jumped on it.
I’m very pleased with it over all – however, mine arrived with a bent blade.
Whether this is the result of impact damage or poor storage during transit – I don’t know – but it’s really obvious to me and has dampened my enjoyment of the product.
Just looking down the blade you can see it taper off centre.
To Amazon’s credit – they have arranged for a replacement to be sent as soon as they have more in stock. (October 2nd) And they have provided me a return postage label to send the original one back – I have 30 days to do so.
Here’s hoping the replacement’s blade is a straight as an arrow – just like other sabers in my collection.

Replacement arrived today and I’m please to confirm the blade is now straight as an arrow.

Likes, dislikes, and tips
Okay I waited for this saber for almost a month to arrive and it finally did. I’m impressed with the saber it self and how it functions but heres my likes and dislikes about it.
Dislikes
1. I dont like the packaging. The packaging is not safe at all. It wasn’t placed inside a safe box with bubble wrap or anything they just give the actual box like shown in the photo. My father bought this exact saber earlier and he hasn’t received it due to minor damages. For a $300 saber they should really package it correctly and safely.
2. My saber did not come with instructions. All I got was the white paper and the saber and thats it.
3. The buttons are quite fragile so please don’t put too much pressure into it. I almost got the buttons stuck.
Likes
1. Its lighter than I thought it wouldve been. And yes it is made out of metal however alot of its parts are plastic.
2. The kyber crystal effect is a really good addition to the collection and how it stays its color for about a minute until itsback to white.
Lastly here’s some tips when you receive the saber.
You dont have to push down the removable saber to the hilt for it to work. Once its in there, twist it counter clockwise till you wont be able to do so and it should stay still and not need to adjust to fit it. I only noticed this when I looked inside the hilt.

Blade does not stay on when you try to move it around even a little bit very loose, not impressed being an fx elite saber and pretty expensive. Edit: It does stay, instructions are terrible but you just have to push and twist the blade in to lock it in place

I have had fx sabers in the past when master replicas use to make them and this is by far the best Saber I have bought. Like all the new features and everything works great. I got a little worried when I saw some reviews that said that their sabers were malfunctioning. All in all if you like collecting these lightsabers and you like Reven buy it.

MultiColored & Hugely improved LED Blade effects
Removable Kyber Krystal is neat & stays lit after removing. Mine changed from Purple to Red as it faded after being removed.
Stand is nice.
They really up’d the # of LEDs in the Blade & now the Power Down/Up is way beyond what older versions did.
The bottom green button when pressed will make a random flash like a Blaster shot block hits.
Holding the Red Button gives you a cool Multicolored effect as if the Blade was passing thru an Energy Shield.
I have a decent picture of the effect here.
Good things to come in the Light Saber front as this has the most effects of any of my Hasbro/Master Replicas ForceFX light Sabers
This is my 7th Force FX, and – with only a few minor complaints, this is probably my favorite.
I’ve read people talking about quality control issues; but I’ve found nothing wrong with mine. Initially, I thought the blade was broken, as I couldn’t get it to ignite; but – you have to push in and twist to lock it in place, and – now it works perfectly. I’d take a half star off for that.
The new blade effects are colorful and crisp – though the purple mode isn’t as vivid as the 2007 Mace Windu, which is a very vibrant purple; Revan’s looks a little more like alternating red/blue – so it’s not quite as pretty while in purple mode.
Sounds are loud and clear.
The Kyber crystal is a neat addition to the kit. The glowing effect after taking it out of the hilt was a neat surprise – I really didn’t do a lot of research on this before preordering it – but, it’s just kind of a neat bonus.
The thing I really dislike about this new saber is the stand. The vertical stand that is ONLY usable while sitting on a desk (no wall-mounting this one), it sits vertical while leaning back at an angle. Even the new release of Dooku’s saber came with the original Force FX horizontal wall mount instead of the curved acrylic.
