I’ve only used the dethatching rotor. It worked well on my lawn, taking only an hour to do. I figure it would have been 3x as long using a rake

The manual isn’t the greatest but it’s not that complicated anyway

I was going over a patch of grass under a tree and it’s easy to clog up the rotors with fibrous material. You’ll be fine with grass, but long stringy material goes straight for the bearings. I bet that’s why people are reporting burnt out motors. Clear the path ahead of time and listen for the motor’s pitch and it should be fine

The product was super easy to assemble, it’s definitely light weight and it does a pretty good job dethatching the lawn. Now for the negatives, the bagger doesn’t do anything, raising and lowering the blade is a little awkward and it lacks power.

I’ve seen a few bad reviews on this product, after using mine I realize that some people are not as smart as a tools they’re working with. I saw where people have burned it up and melted parts, if you don’t have enough sense to understand how hard you’re pushing a unit, you shouldn’t have the unit because you’re not smart enough to run it. I find it’s a very nice machine and if you really want to go deep pull it backwards. You’ll have to wake up manually if you pull it backwards, but you’re really going to get some serious results, it does tear the turf up a little bit doing that but it really gets the deep down stuff up

Makes raking easier. Aerates the soil. Removes dead leaves and debris. Perfect for gardening. When you push forward it shreds and digs, when you pull backward it deposits the debris in a nice little pile for you to pick up–see video. It also has an adjustable height knob so you can get the grass to the height you want it to be. Only issue for me is that the electric cord gets in my way, but I generally purchase battery powered devices for this same reason. Overall, LOVE it.

No conoca nada sobre esta marca, pero su funcionamiento fue perfecto y excelente precio, solo me decepciono el tipo de embarque la caja llego llena de residuos de arena en su interior y les falto un mejor embalaje ya que por esa causa llego con raspones

It is unbelievable how much this machine pulled out in one pass.

I’ve been itching to use this – I was offered this product last October as part of the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest and fair review, and today conditions have finally been dry enough to scarify my lawn in preparation for the upcoming months. (Ideally scarifying should be carried out September/October but as my lawn is particularly moss infested I have done it early, in hope it has time to recover in time for summer)
First of all straight out of the box, everything seems straightforward and the main unit seems quite lightweight. Assembly is pretty simple and not many places to go wrong. This is a scarifier AND an aerator. This is achieved by two separate rolls: one is made up of lots of little hooks like a garden rake, and the other is made up of sharp, short blades. (So far I have only used the scarifier) swapping between the two rollers is not as simple as just swapping between the two blades: it requires using an Allen key to undo a screw, swivelling out a cap, removing the blade, putting the other one in, securing the cap back down and putting the screw back in with the allen key. Okay, it’s not exactly complicated but it isn’t a simple as just flipping a switch- it means turning the unit upside down and physically changing the rollerblade that’s what I’m saying.
The unit is simple to operate, although it is a lot more “upright” than I imagined. I thought it would be like a lawnmower with a lot lower angle but it’s actually quite upright. You can adjust the height between settings 1 to 5, so for the first time of using it and not having any frame of reference I just went to middle of the road 3. You can see the results in one of my pictures: it’s quite fierce and my lawn looks like scorched earth now but it was so moss ridden I think this is a good thing? Time will tell.
The basket does fall fill up very quickly and you have to empty it after every single sweep. Not a big issue in itself and bearing in mind you’re only usually scarifying your lawn once (maybe twice) a year so it’s not a big effort, just be aware that even on a small lawn this is not a quick five minute job.
So far I do like this. It’s quite a big expense for an item that you use once a year, and you could probably do the same task with a garden rake if you could be bothered, but there is no doubt that if you have a large lawn then this makes a rather mundane task less labour intensive.

    Makes short work of scarifying

After receiving this machine, the installation is completed within half an hour. The workmanship is very good, the user-friendly design, the power is very easy to use, the motor operation is several times better than the fuel engine, the depth is completely controlled by the person, very easy to use, the walking rubber wheel is directly installed On the rotary cultivator, you don’t need to dismantle the rotary cultivator or the engine back and forth. Just push it up and go. Today, it’s easy to rack a few hundred square meters. After using it for a while, we will review the product quality.

I used to send the yard this weekend and it worked so great. My yard was in very bad shape with lots and lots of leaves and it got through the moral and did a wonderful job. I just left the wheels on the highest position.

The only complaint I have is that the bolts actually worked their way out and the rake-blade thing fell out.

I replaced them with some of my own and they held.. took away one star for that.

I have a medium sized lawn that is full of moss and weed so I was really looking forward to giving this a go before winter sets in. After mowing the lawn, I went over it with the scarifier. I found it heavy to push but my lawn is a little uneven so that could be why. It’s not a high quality item but it seems to do the job.

    SuperHandy Lawn Scarifier.

I have been very pleased with the results after really putting this product through its paces. The machine is simple to assemble, and away you go. The motor is good and strong and it didn’t struggle at all. The machine is for occasional home used only, it’s definitely not made for professional everyday use.

Despite this Superhandy Lawn Scarifier being flimsy and lightweight, it does a good job of scarifying the lawn. There is a fair and of effort involved and it was time-consuming; however, considering it’s only once a year, this doesn’t bother me. I mowed my lawn before use and scarified in a few passes in different directions, lengthways and corner to corner. I kept the first pass on a higher setting. Important to not use if the lawn is wet and it will pull the grass up by roots. I watered a couple of days before scarifying. The scarifier did a good job removing moss and thatch. I have a reasonably large lawn and it does fill up really quickly and needs frequent emptying, which was a pain. It would be better suited for small/medium-sized gardens

    Does a good job

The lawn scarifier arrived safely, and it comes well packed in a large box. It requires a bit of assembly before first use but I didn’t find it difficult, even with the basic instructions. When not in use the handle can be folded for easy storage.

It does a good job of picking up the leaves, but I found the collection bin to be way too small and even with my little garden I was stopping frequently to empty it. I had a large area of moss at the bottom of the garden, and it pulled it all up a treat. The scarifier seems to work well and will help to keep my lawn in tip top shape. It’s quite a noisy machine to operate and id describe it as sounding like a power drill.

The quality is a bit questionable, and I feel there is way too much plastic on this machine which makes me feel like I have to be delicate with it. Some of the foam from the handle had ripped off before I even took it out of the box and the operating switch and lever is one of the cheapest, I have ever used. The motor seems to handle things fine, but I feel the rest of it will break before the motor does.

Overall, while the machine is powerful and works well, it’s not something I would describe as being heavy duty and built to last, it may be much better suited to a small garden and infrequent use. Its not the cheapest out there but it does work out better value than buying a well-known brand, if you look after it!

It’s winter time now, and so the time to mow has passed, but I still got this mower for my uncle, cause the mower he has (currently) is a beat up ragged used mower. I wanted him to have a new one. Our yard is fairly small, so when I seen this one, and the fact that it’s electric powered, I didn’t hesitate in getting it. We have heavy duty extension cords and electrical outlets on both front and back porches. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived, it had already turned cooler weather, and no longer needed. It is in our garage, awaiting Spring for when mowing season arrives again. I am still giving this 5 stars, cause it assembled easily and started on the first try.

We got this to remove thatch and get air circulation near the lawn surface to help cut down on mushrooms since that helps this kind of thing. This is pretty easy to put together and switch between the thatch remover and the scarifier. The only concern is that the plastic on the parts that connect them for switching might not hold up well as they are plastic but other than that it works great. It’s good quality and does what we needed it to do.

This SuperHandy 2 in 1 Walk Behind Lawn Raker arrived quickly and was well-protected in transit. My husband assembled it in about 10 minutes and it was ready to go. He loves the sleek design, that its all electric and yet is still powerful enough for lightweight lawn cutting. He is using it to help thicken our lawn, as well as gather clippings to compost. It’s very lightweight and easy to use, and quiet as compared to a gas-powered mower. It would be great if the rake path was wider, but overall satisfied!

For an electric driven power tool this scarifier / garden raker has a lot of power behind the motor.

The scarifier blades are strong and will last a long while but one must remember to oil it after use to prevent rusting. The same with the rake, the needles are quite flexible yet strong and need oiling to prevent rusting.

The unit is easy to assemble, it takes a few minutes and no more. It is easy to use, just push in the button and pull on the bar for raw power turning whichever attachment is in place.

The attachments are easy to change over and there is an included allen key if one doesn’t already have one.

The bag for collecting the debris / grass cuttings etc. is a good size but needs emptying regularly and the machine itself has five height settings.

The only negative thing I find with this machine is that the wheels are a little on the small side so this will not be any good on wet ground yet is suited to medium to firm ground so it is best not to use this until at least a couple of days after any downpours otherwise the low level of the machine added to the amount of raw power with the number of revolutions that the attachments spin at is likely to damage the lawn if the ground is too soft / wet.

I am recommending this product as although there is a lot of plastic involved in it the parts that do the job are metal and strong. This is a good quality product that only needs to increase the size of the wheels to make it better and it is good value.

A lot of power behind the moto

Due to the current season, I could not test this products true potentials. I did only managed to scarify the lawn for few metres and had to stop due to the wet ground and grass.
This product arrived in a decent sized box and it was pretty easy to assemble. The tool I requires was a Philips screwdriver. It was simple and straight forward, the instructions were pretty clear in this regard.
Most of the material is plastic and some parts appear a bit flimsy. Hight adjustment mechanism is simple and resembles me that of a pedal toy car. The height can be adjusted in 5 levels and seems to be okay for a smaller to medium sized lawns.

    Decent looking dethatcher and scarifie

This has been very useful for me, as my current lawmower doesn’t seem to want to collect any of the grass it cuts. So instead of totally getting a new lawnmower that will actually do its job, this will help me with the problem.

After cutting my grass, I used this on a medium setting to help try and collect all the grass clumped up on the lawn. With the attachment in place too, this saved me a lot of time raking it all up and picking up lumps with my hands.

Most of this seems to be in a plastic shell, but doesn’t bother me as it does what I wanted it to do.

My garden would be small to medium sized and seems perfect for this machine.

So I’ve aerated my whole lawn and in a few weeks before we get snow in Scotland I’m going to scarify it then. I’ve tried the rake attachment and it did take up what moss I had in my lawn grass with ease.
There’s 5 height adjustable settings which you’ll need to suit your type of grass. Always have the glass cut low before using this as it’ll save filling up the thatch bag with grass that you didn’t want pulled out.
Nice foam grip on handle and 2 switch safety operation to engage motor.

Assembly was easy and when required the handle easily folds over the top of the unit to store for when not in use.
Decent amount of flex cord with it and good cable management clips to keep flex up and clear when in use.
I’d happy buy this unit again as I know using it will improve my grass and have a better lawn with spending some time looking after it.
Also going to add fine sand to lawn with some seed and feed mixed in at start of spring to hopefully full out the lawn after I’ve taken all moss off.

    Great for the price

I have only used it for leaf collection and related so far for which it works well. I do however suspect that under harder use it may break as most of the parts are plastic.

This does not mean it is a bad item, just more suited for lighter work which is reflected in the price.

For the right use it is recommended

I got this for my daughter who has moved into a new house and the lawn in the back garden is thick and water is not getting through properly.

So we have tried this with both settings. We found that the de-thatcher works well with getting quite deep into the thick growth and the scarifier – although works well too – we do feel that if you have a huge garden then this is not for you (it’s mainly for smaller gardens). However i think this may be down to the quality of materials used to make it. Don’t get me wrong these are decent materials but for large lawns i would go with a much bigger unit.

The unit is lightweight possibly due to the plastic parts but overall it is a decent machine for smallish lawns

I ordered this for my husband as he exhausted himself scarifying the lawn with a non electric one. We’ve just had a new lawn layed so not ready to use it as a scarifier or dethatcher yet, but what he used it ifor raking up all the autumn leaves from lawn on the highest setting which was successful
As not used fully yet cannot give a full report, but on a very close inspection he feels it will do a great job. I will update this review as necessary

    Looks good

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI decided upon this product because I recently took a risk on one of their leaf blowers, that product exceeded my expectations, so I figured if this was made to the same quality, then the risk was worth it. My first impression upon opening the box was that this appeared to be a well constructed product despite a nearly complete plastic design. The body is encased in plastic, but this does not seem to be a negative aspect in any way, it is designed to reduce weight, and this makes the overall unit easy to lift and carry as needed thanks to the built in handle on top of the main body. In fact, aside from the rotating implements, motor, and handle assembly, there is very little metal to be found. Assembly was simple, no more than 15 minutes. You receive two rotating components, one for scarification, the other for dethatching. Both are well made with no signs of poor construction or damage from shipping. The handle assembly goes together with screws and has a strong hold when done properly.

What I have discovered when using this product is that speed is necessary. Adjust the knob to the desired height, turn on, and make quick passes. Start your work closest to the outlet you are using, this way you avoid having to readjust the extension cord with each pass. Simply work further and further away from the outlet. Again, be quick, the slower you go, the more the implements hit any given area. If you leave the unit focused one one area too long, you run the risk of causing significant damage to your lawn. I recommend starting on the highest setting and adjusting to a lower one if needed. The implements are highly efficient at doing exactly what they’re supposed to do, dont be too aggressive when using this, let the tool do the work for you.

The motor is quite powerful, spinning at a high rate of speed and making quick work of even the most compacted lawn. If you’ve ever used a hand lawn dethatching rake, you know just how unpleasant of a job that can be. This tool can accomplish in a matter of minutes what used to take hours. My only true complaint is how quick the bag fills, if your lawn has not been dethatched in a long time, the bag will fill completely in about 20 feet. Just have a wheelbarrow handy for convenient emptying, that way you can return to work quickly. Another somewhat negative aspect is that this is not self propelled, while this isn’t a huge issue due to its low weight, it can cause some hiccups if your lawn is not entirely flat; any sudden changes in lawn surface can catch the wheels, bringing you to a complete stop. Just pay attention to these potential areas on your lawn and you should do just fine; keep in mind as well that it is best to work in straight lines, working on turns can prove tricky and cause unintended damage. Also, if you move to the highest setting, and keep your passes fast, this works extremely well as a rake for leaves in the fall.

In conclusion, this product is quiet, does not stall when using, and is extremely efficient as doing precisely what it is advertised to do. I am extremely pleased with this particular brand and product and would highly recommend it to anyone who is currently in the market for a lawn dethatcher.
