I had an old horse hair(?) type brush I used occasionally for grilling but mostly for in-kitchen stuff like slathering a potato in butter before baking.
The brush worked fine, but it eventually started losing its hair, and I’d have to pick them out of the butter. It was a pain to clean well, too.
This brush does an admirable job of slathering butter, is super easy to clean, and isn’t going bald.
Just two plastic brushes with plastic “painters”. BBQ sauce runs somewhat when on the brush – have to be careful & not drip where you don’t want it.
A set of two brushes, one normal size and one larger. They look like they will last a long time, very happy with them.
I love these, and they’re SO easy to keep sterile. The “bristles” are very easy to get through when cleaning, they’re spaced well so that dish water can get through them uninhibited, and they’re tough enough to not just come off. There’s a great spread, and the exterior doesn’t peel or lose its color.
I’m probably going to buy more just to have extras so that I can have better time management while cooking. It’s better to have four – six excellent basting brushes than to only have two! Look forward to having me as a long-term customer.

Really impressed with these 2 pastry brushes for the price. I thought they may be a little cheap but they are really good quality and lovely and strong. Much stronger than the brush they are replacing which was eaten by our dog!
They are heat proof and dishwasher safe. I use them to brush sauce over chicken wings 🙂
Have used bristle brushes before and these are in my opinion, far superior, they gave a good coverage and easy to wash. You can use then again very quickly as they dry rapidly.
At last I don’t have to keep picking bristles off what I am cooking
