Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this for my premature ( 3 weeks early ) baby. At first I thought it was useless but after a few days trying it and using the differnt settings and noises my little one started to reacting to it. The heartbeat plus Sssshhh sound was really affective at settling my baby at night. At this point Ewan became a priceless little legend.

The buttons and settings could be changed and made simpler, not the easiest thing to operate and change settings during the night feeds but overall i’m glad to have sheepy in my life. Baby reacts well to it.

Been using it for almost 4 months now and it’s still working like a charm. Sometimes it forgets that it’s on automatic but a quick reminder usually gets it back on track.
It does react to quite a lot of noises though so maybe avoid having it on if you are watching a movie in the room or this fellow will definitely share its thoughts louder than Attenborough.

I’m 26 weeks pregnant, and I looked at reviews regarding this I was a bit sceptical but every time I play it to my bump my baby girl kicks away. I can’t wait to see what she makes of it when she is here.

This is such a good product, our baby isn’t here yet, 5 weeks to go but we are using Ewan already to get baby use to it’s sounds.
You can really feel that our baby is settled when I put Ewan on, especially when with the harp music or the shush. We don’t use the red light at the moment as there is already light getting in through my stomach & baby seems to be unsettled with the light.
But so far baby seems to be calm when I put Ewan on my stomach & it’s helped the whole family get off to sleep & sleep well, even our cat.

I use this and a white noise machine and baby loves it. The soft glow of the light is perfect for seeing baby in the dark. Not used the crying sensor yet but so far it’s been used most of the night every night for two weeks and batteries are going strong. A rechargable version would be perfect but other than that can’t complain.

I use Ewan everyday without fail with my baby such an amazing white noise machine. I really like the cry sensor, only wish it had a longer battery life but it’s understandable that the cry sensor uses a lot so need to replace the batteries every few days.

I’ve given Ewan’s to each of my pregnant friends, and the verdict is in that they love it and it’s a life saver with a new baby. The deluxe version is a must because it comes on when the baby cries.

Baby loves it, prob soothes me also lol. The only thing is if your baby is a crier and you’ve sensor mode on, battery won’t last long at all. Wish it could be just rechargeable

Loved this when we bought it helped my daughter go back to sleep during the night, but unfortunately after only having for 4/5months the sensor has stopped working I have to manually put it on which isn’t helpful. My daughter loves this too but refuse to buy another.

I have no words! Ewan is the best sleeping aid for my baby! We had previously bought another brand but had to return as cru sensor never worked! Ewan’s cry sensor actually does work and soothes the baby when making a noise. My baby absolutely adores him and cannot sleep without him.

Bought as gift for new parents and they are delighted with this. Does exactly what it’s advertised to do and baby is soothed by it. They especially like that it switches on if baby wakes and soothes him back to sleep. Great buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEwan is beautifully soft and squidgy. The red light is warm and comforting and the sounds were properly soothing (let’s say the exhausted parents were both asleep within minutes!!) Sadly, within a week the sounds became harsh and distorted. After changing batteries it got worse. Son rang the supplier and received a new sound module without any problems at all – within a couple of days. Very happy now and Ewan is behaving himself doing what he is intended for. Soothing a baby. Very successfully! Ewan works!

The first one we got wasn’t finished very well and was missing the screw in the battery pack (which would have meant baby would’ve had direct access to the batteries). No problems returning and replacing though and the second one is perfect. Calms baby really effectively. Nice time out function. Very happy with it and the quality is very good in the second one we go

Didn’t seem to help much when our baby was newborn but then again, you’re not going to get much sleep then regardless of what you use. 3 months later, Ewan is super helpful, saves mummy a lot of ‘shhh-ing’. Seems to comfort him and help him drop off to sleep at night, part of our babies bedtime routine!

Don’t know what we would do without Ewan!! Our daughter slept through the night from the first time we used it. Whenever she wakes during the night, Ewan starts the selected sounds and within 5 minutes she is back to sleep.

The one thing I would say, is make sure you get a couple sets of rechargeable batteries…. or you run the risk of him running out in the middle of the night and you’ll soon know about it.

So, I’ve heard a lot about sleep exercising and thought wean would be a good help. It’s not magic. If baby hear a certain noice every time you put them to bed, they will eventually connect the sound to sleep. This doesn’t happen over night, but might take weeks and months. Our 7 months old finally connect the sound to sleep which is excellent and helps her finding sleep if she wakes up during the night.

I would wish that the sheep could be charged instead of using a billion of batteries.

So summed up. It’s great, just make sure to always have a bunch of batteries in case today is the day it need new ones

Loved this to start with and it sent my baby off to sleep straight away! However, I’ve used it for only 3 months, changed the batteries 3 times and now the sound has become very crackly and broken and I have no way of returning it through Amazon due to the time frame. Very disappointed as it was quite expensive for what it is! 🙁

I purchased this for my granddaughter, and my daughter tells me it was pretty much the best gift given to them!

The light it emits is just enough to see what you are doing at 2am, and the sounds really do help to calm and soothe.

    Definitely a good buy!

Use an original Ewan for my first child and works great; decided on the Deluxe model for child 2 but it eats batteries for fun and is harder for a child to operate by themselves (the pressing of feet on original model is far easier than finding the button in the belly for a child). Wouldn’t go without it but if it was to break I’d replace with the original model!

Ewan is a miracle worker he puts my granddaughter to sleep as soon as you turn him on. If she wakes up just turn him back on and back to sleep she goes. Good quality sounds and light. Love that it’s washable. Dislikes – I don’t like how it’s just velcro holding the battery pack in. I think a zip would feel more secure when it’s dangling over a cot. Overall happy with the product itself. However my baby doesn’t seem keen on it, so it’s not really been a value for money purchase for us personally, and it’s a lot to spend when it doesn’t get used!

Great sleep aid that helps our baby get to sleep..various noises but she likes the ‘shush’ one in particular. Red light works well and baby likes to stare at it. Definitely helps get her to drift off. Would recommend. We use rechargeable batteries and have probably recharged twice since end of November.

Could not have survived the first days with a new baby without this sheep. It’s magic. Only main downfall is that my baby learned to be quite heavily dependent on it, it plays sounds for about 20 minutes, my baby quickly sussed it that as soon as the sheep would stop he would have to make a quick loud enough sound to set it off then would dose off again instantly. Be warned have a lot of batteries on standby depending on how dependent you baby is on it. My little guy used it so much we had to change out the batteries every other day. Also be warned that the sound of the sheep will follow you everywhere you go no matter if the sheep is there or not. You will first go crazy from the sound of it but it will get better and it’s better that of a screaming baby.

16 months on and still going strong. My daughter loves it, it soothes her back to sleep if she wakes up during the night and she contently lays and chats to it in her cot every morning. Her first Best friend I’d say and mine given that she has slept like a dream from 9 weeks old and I 100% think it’s been down to her sheep and a fixed routine.

  45. Fraser Simpson says:

Get it before your baby is born and you are too sleep deprived to read the instructions like we were. Started using it when our daughter was around 3 months old as we had some success with a snuzcloud but it was hard pressing it every 20 minutes through the night.
Didn’t get on with Ewan at all as he didn’t seem to last more than a few seconds at a time. Fast forward to our daughter being 6 months old and we finally figured out that we hadn’t been setting the sensor properly.
Long story short Ewan is amazing and we use him every single night now we know how!

Cannot recommend Ewan enough! Bought for our daughter at 4 weeks old and its been a life saver (shes now 7 months and it still helps massively to soothe her) . All the sounds are great and clear, the red light also helps comfort her.
The outside is lovely and soft and feel comfortable her being able to cuddle it.
Brilliant feature is the auto on sensor, once activated there is a 4 hour period, once activated again this carries on without having to activate it again (hold down the large middle button until it beeps once to start the auto on and hold for a few seconds until it beeps 3 times to turn that feature off)
downside and its minor is the battery life, good quality batteries usually last 12 days ish then need replacing, however it all depends on how many times its activated through the night.
    Deserves more than 5 stars!

  51. Anonymous says:

We have only had it for a few weeks, but already love it.

We use the shush noise. The baby already liked that noise and this is much easier than me making that noise while the baby falls asleep.

The baby seems to really respond to the noise and now (very occasionally) will put herself back to sleep just with Ewan.

It also masks the rustling I make when I get back into bed, which previously woke her up.
I’ve gone from co-sleeping to sleeping in the Moses basket at night and Ewan was a big help in that.

Ewan doesn’t seem to be as helpful in the day, I think because he is relatively quiet, but I might need to give that some more time

  52. ChassidRingler says:

I’d buy this many times over as it’s so useful for my baby. If he wakes up , it will keep him from going into a meltdown and he will fuss a little then go back to sleep with the ‘mooncry’ sensor. In some ways it does too good a job as if baby is hungry I don’t usually wake up until he has turned hysterical!
The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the fact that I find it very annoying there is no ‘low battery’ warning/indicator. The mooncry sensor will stop
Working in the middle of the night and then I have to panic in the dark trying to change the batteries (which requires the use of a screwdriver so it’s not a super quick task)

I love Ewan the sheep. My daughter had one since she was born. 3 years on, it was still working but got vomit all over it and I had to bin as you can’t take the cover off the old model to wash. Bought the ‘deluxe’ one in a panic as the white noise soothes her back to sleep during the night if she wakes but discovered that the little feet no longer turn the white noise/lullaby on. You have to press the stomach quite hard which my daughter finds really difficult to do and has resulted in her coming in to me every 20 minsutes during the night to turn it on for her, until I eventually have to take it off her. So something that she used to self soothe no longer works. I’m sorry I didn’t buy the older version agai

  54. DawnRuggiero says:

So, I bought this when baby was 2 weeks old, and it was useless… so I resigned him to the pile of useless baby items I had wasted money on…

However, fast forward 3 months when we are trying to implement some kind of bedtime routine, and he’s been a great!

I have him on the ‘shhhh’ setting while feeding her to sleep, and he settles her when she starts to stir lightly during the night. Obviously won’t settle a baby who’s waking because they’re hungry, but you wouldn’t want that anyway… because babies need to eat… but he is now earning his keep! Thumbs up for Ewan!

The battery life is indeed pants if you have a baby who wakes regularly, however, just get yourself some RECHARGEABLE batteries and change them every 3 nights and it’s really not an issue.

This works like a charm for settling my baby (she’s 9 weeks old and we have been using Ewan for 2 or 3 weeks). She loves him and wriggles her face so that she can rub her nose against his soft fur regardless of where we put him (we move him when she is asleep).

The only downsides are the controls are a bit fiddly they could have made it a lot more user friendly with buttons for each function and for the love of god why is this not USB chargeable???? The battery life is about 2 or so weeks of you don’t have the sheep on the cry sensor setting, less if you do.

Also we found the cry sensor worked rather too well and would out her off to sleep when she really should have been waking for a feed so we don’t use that for now but will resume use when she drops her 4am feed.

    Overall we really like i

Great wee item. 5 sounds to choose from, listens out for crying and loud noises and will come on automatically. Only annoyance is that the sound only plays for 20 mins at a time. I would have liked an option for continuous play – especially for nap time when I’m active and noisy in the house.

  58. Anonymous says:

Bought this to help 2 month old fall asleep and self soothe. Worked initially a couple of times but with time found baby needs a bit more cuddling from parents along with this item playing in the background, in order to drift to sleep. Still consider this a nice item, with good variety of sounds reminiscent of being in the womb which should help young baby recognise sounds and aid sleep

  59. Anonymous says:

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I use this on bump to get baby accustomed to the sounds so that when he’s out he will have a familiar sound to hopefully help him sleep, fingers crossed lol.
Regardless, he loves it at the moment he moves wherever I place Ewan and I’m pretty sure it tends to calm him down he stops being so hectic with his movements as if he’s falling asleep. Who knows, either way it was priced nicely, great quality and it’s cute.

Started using this whilst our lil girl was still in the womb – gave us a little reassurance if we hadn’t felt a kick in a little while (as she would nearly knock it off the tummy!) and whilst we haven’t had a need for it yet, it came highly recommended by family so glad we bought it.
The battery life isn’t amazing – you get a little warning they’re dying with on times reducing so would highly recommend rechargeable batteries!
Only other thing is you do need to read instructions to understand the different modes – would have preferred more buttons for control as keep forgetting how to make it do the different things so not always using the full functions when sleep deprived!

I had the original euan with my first baby and my only gripe was that after 20mins you had to manually reset it. I dreamed of a model I could control with an app…anything to avoid me getting out of bed & counting down the final bars of the annoying tune, ready to slip my arms through the cot to press ‘play’ again. Anyway the euan gods heard my silent screams and this delux version has a sensor so when baby stirs / cries, it instantly turns on and soothes baby back to sleep. I love it (even if it is a bit creepy being woken up in the night with ‘lullabies’!). My next request / wish is for them to make the on / off / noise changing use ability slightly more simple to use…but this is still a game changer and worth every penny!

This is a very cute, soft noise machine. If the sounds available, the vacuum cleaner seems to be my baby’s fave, abd akk if the sounds have a heartbeat overlain, which is nice for baby, but too distracting for me to sleep to if baby is still in your room! Just wish this had a function to enable sounds for longer than 20 mins…

We bought this when our daughter was about a year old. We’d been using a ‘normal’ Ewan to get her off to sleep, but obviously that didn’t help when she started to stir at midnight, etc.

With the help of this deluxe version, automatically triggering itself when she starts to murmur, we’ve gone from having to go in and resettle her two or three times a night to her sleeping through almost every night.

What an absolute revelation. Treat yourself to a couple of sets of rechargeable batteries as well, because you’ll get through them fairly quickly, but it’s absolutely worth the expense.

Where should I start… One of the best buys I’ve made for the little one and for us. It is really helpfull to help baby fall asleep and keep him calm when he wakes up during naps. The crying detector works very well and it does detect the noise. The only think I wanted was for the noise to keep going for longer as it goes for 20 min. Not complaining but it would be good to choose the length of time as well.

  65. LCCotter says:

We’ve had the original Ewan for about 4 years and it was amazing for our daughter, but decided to by the deluxe version for our new twins. The cry sensor on it is helpful to drown out the noise of one of them groaning, therefore not disturbing the other. It is as good as expected but the only issue I have with it is that even on the quiet setting it’s still so loud. It needs to be within a metre approx of the baby to pick up noises to automatically come on, but it’s way too loud to have it too close. I think a gradual increase/decrease volume setting would give more options.

Ewan is honestly, for me and my baby an absolute total God send.
I have had him make his sounds to my baby since the day I gave birth to her and he has helped me soothe and put my baby to sleep ever since. I really do swear by him. When I was in the hospital i had to stay a couple of nights and i was frightened; I had this new born baby in my arms(never done this before) my partner had to go home due to visiting hours and all i could think was ‘oh my goodness what if she never stops crying! How will i soothe her!’ i remember i had packed Ewan in my bags and popped him on when she stirred and during feeding, he sent her straight to sleep and honestly she was the best baby on the post natal ward.
5months in now and he’s still a guardian angel to my babs! Soothes her 100% and i don’t go anywhere without him.

    100% recommend him.
This is not a paid review just thought i’d add that because i know some reviews can be!
But i genuinely bought Ewan as a first time mum and i’m not disappointed at all. Best purchase i have ever made for my baby.

Ewan sheep is cute, soft and works like a charm!

This helps my daughter sleep a lot, especially as she was born 10 weeks early so it was a great comfort to her to hear womb sounds whilst she was still supposed to be inside of me.
Now at 4 months old it still helps her get to sleep, if she’s crying it will gentely soothe her to sleep. The only thing I didn’t like about this product was the batteries only lasted a week of use. I’ve replaced the batteries. However I would suggest the buyer has this in mind as you will need a small screwdriver to enter the battery box and small batteries (not regular sized ones) have a screwdriver and spare batteries handy as if it runs out after your baby has got used to it and you can’t change it, you won’t get any sleep till you do!

After 4 long weeks of limited sleep due to a poorly baby I purchased Ewan not expecting to much given how bad my little one is with bronchitis, colic and reflux.
Being desperate I paid for the express delivery and was pleased when it arrived at 1830 as I was starting the nighttime routine. Within moments of finishing feeding my baby he had been in floods of tears due to pain. As he started Ewan activated and calmed my baby good enough to then pop him in his basket unfortunately his bronchitis hasn’t quite cleared up so struggles on his back sleeping only on his side. We tried this then all night with one of us on watch with are baby on his side rather than sleeping on us which he had been.

I am pleased to say IT WORKED!!! Even after his morning feed calmed him enough to fall back to sleep. It’s only day one but worth the money for me, I am not saying it will work for every baby but done the trick for us x

Ewan is great. I follow The Baby Whisperer techniques so had been using a ssshhh sound to help my 4 month old daughter get to sleep. Now I let Ewan do it. He also senses when she wakes and starts up again – this is a brilliant feature and worth the extra cost for “Deluxe” Ewan.
I bought top of the range Duracell rechargeable batteries (there are lots that look the same, but the 2500Ah ones last well) which last well and I have two sets so that I can switch them without having to lose time without him.

Unfortunately the original died recently (it was coming on randomly and sounding stuck) and the little one really missed it so we purchased the deluxe version. I love that this one can be washed as the original was surface wash only. I did prefer the ability to use different functions via different legs with the original but small price to pay to be able to wash it. My little boy is very happy that he has Ewan agai

Brilliant. We bought this for our newborn twins. We found it a little trial and error for which sound they preferred, however as soon as you find the one which works it’s fantastic. Glad it had choices to be honest! It’s noise sensor is super sensitive, it sometimes picks up noise from other parts of the house. It’s not an issue though as the twins sleep through it as it’s gentle and soothing enough. Brilliant purchase for us and highly recommended.

Product arrived on time and well packaged. The fabric is nice and soft and well stitched, there was a little loose cotton but easily cut off. The light is a good brightness and the volume can be altered to high or low, you can also decide to turn the light off. Only set back I had was it didn’t work for my 6 week old, she still cries no matter what, hopefully it’ll work once she’s a little older and less stroppy.

Don’t go any further then this review, this is a god send of a product.
Our 6 week old was very fussy when being put down on an evening and our own energy levels were drained at that point too. Ewan the sheep is very easy to use and really makes a massive difference in getting our baby to sleep and keeping her asleep for longer overnight with the cry sensor.
Ideal if you are looking for a baby gift for someone with there first baby or if you are a first time parent looking to be able to close your own eyes for over an hour 🙂

Only minor draw back with this is the cry sensor is a bit sensitive so having it in a room other then where the baby sleeps is a bit annoying i.e. trying to watch TV and the shushing goes off.

Top Product, best random baby buy I’ve picked up so fa

Absolutely brilliant and a must have for all newborns in my opinion. You can have it on the sensor so that it plays as soon as baby starts stirring and also turn the sensor off so that it just plays for 20 minutes a time when you press him. You can also have the light on or off, it gives off a soft red glow. I have this turned on sensor every night and my 5 week old now seems a lot less restless through the night, as soon as she starts to cry ewan kicks in with a comforting shhhh and she soon drifts back off.

We never bothered with any sleep toys with our first born as she was a good sleeper but when we had our second who hates sleep we decided to invest in a Ewan.
We’d tried a couple of alternatives but they didn’t work and I was advised to give Ewan a go.
I thought it was a little pricey for what it is but hey ho.
The buttons are really tricky to get the hang off and can be very temperamental, it’s just 1 button that u hold for a few seconds if u want the sleep sensor activated or deactivated but it’s quite hard to turn the bloody thing off if your baby is crying and the white noise has already kicked in. There must be a better way of turning it off and on as I got really frustrated especially in the middle of the night when I couldn’t see. Also the red light is a bit pointless and seemed to terrify my baby.
Having said that the for the first week the sleep sensor did trick my little sleep stealer into falling back asleep after less then a minute but this only lasted a week and now she’s grown wise to it and Ewan does nothing but anger her.
In my opinion it’s a very cute waste of money

I have the original (not the deluxe) for my first born who still sleeps with her sheep till this day. She has had several as each one got so manky! So when my next child came along I was keen to get another and pleased to see there is now a washable option. So I went for this but it’s not as good. Firstly the sound is much louder and I don’t think the quality is as good as the other one. I like that the original is easy to use and you press the paws. This one I’m trying to change the sound Option but it’s switching on and off instead for example. So it’s not as user friendly. But it’s still a fantasy sleep aid and I recommend it. It takes a while for a baby to take to it, but persevere and just keep putting it on and they eventually get it. My baby is 5 months now and it soothes her straight away. The red light is quite a comfort to her. As soon as I switch it on for my older child she drops right off. Definitely a good purchase and also a good gift for expectant parents.

I like the variety of sounds and it’s subtle red light. It has a sensor to switch it on in the middle of the night if your baby stirs, which may be useful for some people. However, I switched this off as I found it would switch on at other noises and times throughout the day and I found this annoying. It comes with a Velcro fastening tail so it safely clips onto the side of my daughter’s Moses basket and I do not worry about it accidentally falling in whilst she’s sleeping. Battery useage is not too bad – daughter is now 5 months old and we have used it for most nights and some daytime naps since shortly after birth and have not had to change the batteries yet.

Ewan is amazing, my baby is now 4 months and had ewan since he was 1 week old. Ewan has saved the day or should I say night on so many occasions. My son loves the heartbeat sounds and loved the red light although he has outgrown the light now. My son has slept through the night from 5 weeks (9 till 4) and now sleeps 8 till 6 every night only waking up once, but ewan is there to send him off again. I highly recommend to all sleep deprived mums and mums to be.

We’ve used an original Ewan the dream sheep for my son, who is now one, since he was born and now he can’t sleep without it! The sounds soothed and distracted him when he was a newborn also teaching him that when his sound is on, it’s time to sleep. I’ve bought his deluxe Ewan for a friend because our standard original Ewan has been chewed, cuddled, slobbered on, dragged around so much it needed to be washed, at the expense of the electronic music, so when this one came out which is washable, via disconnecting the music box, I knew it was worth the extra money

Our baby loves it. Have been using it since birth and still using it now at 4 months. The only problem is that it turns off after 20 mins, and if other babies maybe fall asleep in 20 minutes, mine needs around 30 minutes, so if I don’t manage to switch it back on right when it turns off, she will wake up. But otherwise we love it.

Really helps our little one to sleep. Wish there was better volume control. You can find white noise on YouTube on your phone and have better volume settings. However, Ewan is very sweet and our little one likes the heartbeat sound (luckily that’s the least annoying one to have playing in the background whilst we try to sleep too!).

We used to play hoover sounds to our eldest from an app which was just as effective. Ewan just frees up our phones.

Still need to work out some of the features but we find him pretty useful.

Would definitely recommend this. 100% helps my boy get to sleep and soothes him back to sleep. We’ve been using it for nearly a year now. He’s not dependent on it, but it definitely does what it says. I would get rechargeable batteries – you would spend a fortune on batteries otherwise. We have to change our rechargeable batteries every 10-14 days.

We had the original dream sheep for our older daughter when she was a baby, she loved it! I decided to get the deluxe version for our newborn.
On one hand I’m glad they’ve changed the design so that the toy is now machine washable, but I don’t find it as easy to use.
It’s a pain to cycle through the different noises, although I’ve discovered the new “shh” sound which works a treat!
On the old one you could press the button to extend the time the noise played, great if you want to add a bit extra time to it if your little one is just dropping off.
I don’t seem to be able to do that on this one, if the button gets pressed again it turns the sheep off? I have to wait until it’s finished and start it again.
Overall a great buy though, certainly does the job and that’s all that matters when you’re sleep deprived!

LOVE THIS! The cry sensor really is a life saver! I used to have a white noise machine without a cry sensor and I had to get up every 20 minutes to turn it back on! My daughter falls asleep to this perfectly and if she starts fussing after it’s gone off, then it starts up again and she settles instantly. If I’m being honest the noise could be a little bit louder, even the loudest setting isn’t the loudest but It is enough. The battery life is good but make sure to turn the cry sensor off as I forget often and it drains the battery during the day. But overall I really love it and get the dream sheep deluxe as I definitely think it’s worth the extra 10 then the regular Ewan the dream sheep as the cry sensor is just perfect as I have said before. 100% recommend!

I fell in love with this when I was pregnant but thought 40 is a lot of money for a sheep that plays sounds. Ended up getting one and it’s worth every penny.
This one is machine washable which is a bonus!
When my little one was born I played the womb sounds for her to try and sooth her at bed time, she wasn’t fussed, i was so annoyed, thinking that I’d wasted my money, changed it to white noise and it calmed her down and helped her settle to sleep every time. After a few months I got sick of hearing the white noise and changed it to the little song, my baby loves it, once she hears the song she knows it’s time for sleep, she snuggles him too which is very sweet.
This one has a smart cry setting, where when your baby cries it will hear it and play the noise you have selected, this is great but would wait until your baby is in their own room as it goes off to loud noises (eg, door banging, husbands deep voice if he speaks loudly). Also I would advise purchasing rechargeable batteries! when using on smart cry setting, batteries only last a couple of days, with smart cry turned off they can last up to a month.
I would definitely recommend, my little one is nearly a year and she still loves Ewan, he has helped us so much to get sleep over the past 11 months.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEwan has been my baby best friend since day one. As a newborn it really helped him to sleep, now at six months he loves to throw it and pull his ears and leg. I have also washed it in the washing machine countless times and it’s still perfect, soft and cuddly like day one. The color didn’t fade either. I’ve been thinking a lot when I was pregnant befor buying it because it’s a bit expensive, you can find similar items for less, but after 6 months I can tell that it’s worth every single penny

Got Ewan for my 14months old daughter as a part of sleep training programme to teach her correct sleep associations . Got a terrible time setting it up and at the beginning it felt like it fails on responding to her cries at all. It’s not so easy to switch and the the mechanism seemed overly temperamental at first, so I was waiting for the morning to come to organise the return of the item. Alas! My daughter grabbed to the toy and held it in her hands snuggling into it for dear life. It soothed her with the sound and light and comported her. Literary 2 days after the use of the toy she associated it with sleep so well that it took her just under 2 minutes to get from full awake to complete sleep! It worked miracles for both her and me. The mechanism needed time to adjust to her cry and it works well now. I suspect that the programme I do is partly to thank, but Ewan made it so much easier for my daughter to learn how to sleep alone in her bed. So yeah! Thumbs up!

We have bought this for our baby. We had it from birth. It was useful at times when he was little to soothe him, and occasionally he drifted of while it was on. However, it I can not say it did help him to sleep or not. We still have it attach to his crib but but do not use it as often as I though we will. It is very lovely toy to be fair and I like the idea of it but unfortunately it did not help our son to sleep. Having said that we did not have to use it a lot also because our son is luckily nodding off to sleep himself or with a help of a milk 🙂

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI used this mainly for my newborn and it took a couple of days to work but it really did help. Now she is 6 months old I rarely use the noise function however it is still in the cot and she uses as a comfort. Definitely go for the deluxe otherwise you will have to keep turning on and off, where as this model does it for you.

Golden Review Award: 294 From Our UsersThis product is amazing! We have been using the sheep since my daughter was 3 months (She is 9 months now) and she absolutely loves it! The cry monitoring means we rarely have disturbed nights sleep.
When we put her to bed (and she is not already asleep) once activated, she will pull Ewan off her cot – the Velcro isn’t all that strong – and she will cuddle him, or grap the Velcro and batter Ewan “Hulk” style until she falls asleep.

There are only 3 things we think could improve it.
    1. Make Ewan usb rechargeable so we don’t need to mess around with batteries in the early hours. (We have to keep the previous version of Ewan on standby as our “Emergency Sheep”)
    2. Make An linked phone app that would allow you to turn the sheep on by bluetooth (After the cry sensor has timed out).
    3. The app should also display Ewan’s battery life so you know when you need to charge it before bedtime.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe are massive fans of Ewan in our house, we had the original which we still use for the melody as my son now knows this as his sleep trigger (we used it from day 1) and the white noise for linking sleep cycles. So much so I have had to record it on my phone for when we are out and about! We bought the deluxe version for when he moved into his own room so I didn’t have to keep getting up to put the white noise on in the middle of the night .. so far so good. I can hear it start around 2am on the monitor and my little boy soon settles back to sleep. The batteries don’t last that long, particular if your little one shuffles around at night, as I do find it’ll trigger at movement sounds, not necessarily crying, but taking shares out in Duracell is a small price to pay for restful nights sleep!
I should say I have never used the light function on either Ewan as I found it made no difference to my little one getting to sleep.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe are really struggling with Ewans battery life , I presume this is because of the cry sensor . However baby has 2 naps each day lasting no longer than 1.5 hours. Obviously the sensor isn’t continuously In use at this stage as baby is sleeping. I just feel it should last longer than a couple of weeks max. Were using Duracell plus power but have already gone through countless sets of batteries. I’m conscious of it being on so I always turn it off after every use. Im just wondering if this Ewan is defective or if this is normal use. The product itself is fantastic

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersThis product is a life saver I don’t think I would have my sanity if it wasn’t for Ewan.

First night with our new born son he was up all night crying and wouldn’t settle. soon as we introduced Ewan on white noise and heart beat he was a sleep in minutes.

I would strongly recommend the deluxe version as when our son wakes or stirs Ewans motion sensor picks him up and he kicks in to action soothing our little one back to sleep so we can get some rest.

    seriously impressed with this produc

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersMy son has always responded well to white noise and was playing it through my phone which completely drained the battery and meant I couldn’t use it at the same time!
We had the original ewan but upgraded to this for the sensor and really glad we did as the sensor kicks in just as my son stirs rather than me having to wake and move around to press the button, taking longer and potentially waking him up more. The sheep is cute and the Velcro tail means you can hang him close to the cot/crib. There is a red light but we’ve not really bothered with this.
I suppose the downsides is that you can get through batteries if you’ve got a noisy sleeper or you snore yourself! We bought some rechargeable batteries for this which have really helped for middle of the night emergencies!
The other downside is that the noise cycle lasts 20mins. Once my son has finally fallen asleep (sometimes this takes 20mins at least!) It often takes him around 20mins to get into a deep sleep so the noise cycle isn’t really long enough and when it stops it can wake him up but he often settles again when I put it back on. Just a shame you can’t have it on for longer.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersA life saver! Generally very happy with Ewan. The deluxe model is supposed to be sound activated but this one seems to only have ever done that once, and then it would often set off for no reason st all! otherwise it’s a case of reactivating it every 20 minutes to keep it going..it could be defective or perhaps I’m not using it right. There just wasn’t really a comprehensive set of instructions with it, more of just a general use card in the box; so not convinced the deluxe is really worth the little extra money..Battery life completely depends on how long you use it for – only powered by x3 AAA. However, our youngster has really responded to it and settles very well.

Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersI have the original Ewan for my eldest and that worked wonders for us. I didn’t mind popping in to press Ewan’s paw every now and again and my eldest soon learnt how to turn it on himself when he woke in the night. However the deluxe Ewan is even better!! My new baby has never been a good sleeper. On good nights I get about 3hours and that’s very rare!! We purchased Ewan and the baby instantly slept straight from 7pm-3am and then back to sleep until 7am. He even had his 8 week jabs yesterday and has slept so oh my god I didn’t get a chance to catch up on the love island final! The moon mode is fantastic and turns itself off if there isn’t a baby cry for four hours so the batteries don’t get used up if you forget to switch it off. It’s so easy to use and it’s definitely a good idea to make the sheep washable. Thank you Ewan. I love you!!!
