It’s fairly good microscope.
It provides good value for the money, but my expectations were a bit bigger, though.
It has really nice and smooth turning table for the objectives, it is sturdy and focus nobs work nicely. Light you can adjust which is nice as well.
Ocular turning might be a bit smoother but it doesn’t pose nay problem like this.
What bugs me a bit are particles you can see under certain focus that I can’t clean off. Not sure are they on the lenses or inside tube or where. It’s not a big issue, but it’s a speck on a already really decent entry microscope.
Diaphragm is useless.
I have been using this microscope for some weeks now. The quality & clarity is brilliant. I run a wildlife care centre dealing with small mammals. This has proved invaluable for screening stool samples for endoparasitic burdens of these creatures. It is far superior to my previous ‘professional’ microscope. The only negative that might affect someone new to using a microscope is the fact that the instruction manual that came with it was totally written in Chinese. It would serve Swift well to commission an English written manual to go with this superb microscope.

As a retired biomedical scientist, specialised in haematology and blood transfusion, I can assure you, light microscopy is only effective up to 1000x
Resolution is the key to differentiating 2 or more different elements on the slide. Light waves are unable to do this over 1000x
Electron microscopy is used in healthcare to differentiate tissue inclusions for this very reason.
Das Mikroskop ist super.
