I am a great fan of tamagotchis and this rocks all the boxes . Easy to use, fun seeing all the different characters. I am on at least the 26th generation of these characters.

My daughter loves this and was in the sale so even better, wouldn’t of been happy to pay 60 for it as don’t feel it’s worth that, the battery life is quite bad! Daughter enjoys it though .

Right so after using this tamagotchi for a just over a week I feel like I can leave a fair review but please bare in mind I am a 25 year old adult playing with a child’s toy.
So value for money… its expensive for what it is but electronic toys are expensive these days and the tamagotchi market is booming. Previous versions are being sold for hundreds online so this is probably the cheapest you are going to find a coloured tamagotchi.
The battery life is a downfall as its only going to last 2-4 days depending how much you use it but if you buy rechargeable batteries you solve the problem of spending a fortune replacing them every few days. So it’s just a little annoying having to unscrew the battery compartment. This model takes AAAs so easy to get hold of unlike the old watch style batteries.
So on to the gameplay… the idea of this one is to raise your tamagotchi, practice a profession when it’s an adult then send it back to its home planet nice and trained. This means no gene mixing, no marrying and no babies. There’s only around 25 adult tama characters you can Hatch and this is the biggest downfall for me as gene mixing is my favourite feature. There’s a good selection of games to play with your tama and a good amount of unlockable items and backgrounds. Your tama will be relatively low maintenance after the baby stage (which is still minimal effort in comparison to older models).
The lifespan of these is a lot shorter than the older versions. Baby will evolve within an hour or so, teen within 24hrs and adult within 48hrs. They will usually want to go back to their home planet after around 4 days but I beleive there is an option to keep them instead though.
The camera feature is probably relatively fun for kids but as an adult I think it’s kinda pointless. You take a selfie when you Hatch an egg but I don’t beleive you ever see the selfie again and then the main function of the camera is to scan colours which you use to cook food and dye items/accessories. There is only a few colours you can get, grey, white, red, blue and yellow and I think that might be it. You can take your tama to ‘explore’ with the camera but again, this feels pointless and wastes precious battery life.
Another downfall is the system itself scratches SUPER easily. I read reviews saying this before I purchased one myself but didn’t quite realise how easy it is to scuff them. I have had mine a week and really looked after it, not played it more than a couple times a day and really never even touched the creen but I already have scuffs on the screen and front face (you can see this in picture 2) so I’d definitely opt for a screen protector.
I have listed a fair few negatives but If you don’t mind the lack of gene mixing or you’re buying for a child, this is probably your best bet for a coloured tamagotchi as it’s definitely the cheapest on the market despite its still hefty price. You can get these models second hand from marketplace brand new for half price so that’s worth looking in to as well. The On, Meets, P’s & Mixes are all loaded with more features than this but are a lot more expensive at the minute.
Cosas a tener en cuenta:
1 – Funciona con 2 pilas AAA no incluidas. Recomiendo unas pilas recargables. Para quitar la tapa de las pilas es necesario tener un destornillador estrella muy pequeo.
2- La pantalla se ve perfectamente, no obstante, como tiene un tamao reducido recomiendo usar el dispositivo en interiores pues en pleno sol cuesta ver bien la pantalla.
3 – Algunos modos de juego slo estn disponibles cuando el tamagotchi va creciendo, por lo tanto cuando nace apenas tiene modos.
4 – Configura bien el reloj desde el inicio porque tiene la funcin de que se pasa durmiendo de 9 pm a 9 am.
5 – Las instrucciones que incluye son bsicas y escasas. Recomiendo ir a la pgina oficial del producto para ver recomendaciones, consejos y los diferentes tipos de tamagotchis que te pueden salir.
Contra:
Los botones no son muy intuitivos, aunque nios al fin encuentran los modos en el da a da, pero s que cuesta lo suyo…
Bateras: duran 2-3 das, as que hay que poner recargables s o s!; el compartimento para poner las pilas es el peor que he visto en mi vida, sobre todo la primera vez tanto quitarlo para ponerle las pilas, como despus volver a cerrarlo es un verdadero dolor de cabeza, acaba por desesperarte!, lo bueno que despus de 2-3 veces ya es ms fcil (no es que se le coja el “truquillo”, es que simplemente algo se afloja o yo que s; tenemos 2 y el segundo lleg a casa casi 1 mes despus del primero, y fue la misma dificultad del primero a pesar de creerme ya un “experto”.
En general viendo a los nios como se divierten con l, es mucho ms recomendable que un Tablet o un mvil o cualquiera cosa conectado a las redes…, y aprenden a responsabilizarse con algo si no tienen mascotas reales.

Brings back memories. If you had one in the 90s, this is the 2020 colour upgraded version.
Easy to use. It’s a bit odd that there are no actual pressy buttons, but more like nubs that are touch sensitive. Once I figured out how much pressure to apply then operation was absolutely fine. I have adult fingers too, but I manage just fine.
Camera quality is a bit low, so good lighting is essential.
There is a QR Code function, and already there is an extensive catalogue of items/accessories/rooms/decor/meals/snacks available online. There’s also a weekly mission and prize on the official website.
I recommend getting a screen protector and cover and/or case. They’re cheaper on AliExpress, but delivery is a month, but worth it.
I do not have any negatives. A manual is provided, but a more extensive digital PDF version is available online; a must have. Thee are also character guides on the official website also.
I know it’s pricey, but there’s so much packed into a colour Tama, and if looked after it will last years and years.
Lots of features. Camera is lots of fun. If you have a friend who has one, you can connect. My daughter loves the feature where you can make a unique food for you pet by taking photos of food items and ‘mixing’ them! Batteries didn’t last very long. I think rechargables are worth getting.
Delivered very fast and really fun and simple to use! The battery life lasted for around 13 days which is more than I expected reading other reviews, so will be getting some rechargeable ones.
The only complaint I’d have is how expensive it is for a device that doesn’t have too long battery life. But the nostalgia makes up for it and worth it when you’ve got money to spare and it’s on sale.
Il Tamagotchi veramente bellissimo, c’ sempre qualcosa di divertente da fare e collezionare.
Non ho nulla da dire sulle modalit di gioco se non che sono molto dinamiche e hanno superato le aspettative, l’unica pecca che non mi ha fatto dare cinque stelle che i tasti touch non sono perfettamente allineati con la protezione in plastica sopra quindi per far prendere il comando alla perfezione bisogna capire il punto preciso di connessione, altrimenti torna indietro o ti manda da un’altra parte. Oltre a questo, se ci prendi la mano il problema quasi risolto.
Consiglio l’acquisto di batterie ricaricabili, io dopo cinque giorni dalla prima accensione ancora ci gioco ma ho ridotto la luminosit al minimo e non accendo spesso la fotocamera, quindi dura ma magari solo con determinate circostanze, lo dico perch molte persone si sono lamentate del fatto che questo modello richiedesse un ricambio troppo frequente.

After 2-3 days it needs new batteries no matter what brand you purchase or how much you play with it. There is also no pause button so if you don’t replace the batteries and cannot continue playing your character will die which is upsetting after all your child’s hard work. There is also no off button to save batteries. Just a reset button.
For the price of the toy (that in my opinion should be rechargeable) and the batteries you’ll be replacing every few days it’s extremely expensive and I wouldn’t have bought it if I had known better.
I did purchase on sale so in total probably have spent around 80 so far on the toy itself and the batteries.
I would suggest looking into rechargeable batteries if you are considering to purchase.

there is a “continue or start again” options if batteries run out. So you can still carry on your game play as long as you obsessively look after your old game to prevent your character dying.

Requested gift by 26 yr old. She loves it. Only complaint was delivery. Was not sent out when released on 19/12 as delivery delayed by manufacturer and then again by delivery company so didnt receive in time for Christmas
Was impossible to buy over Xmas as all sold out, so was very pleased to find on Amazon for a good price to all legit and works perfectly (happy child ) even has a camera on it and a choice of pets !

Uso: Al igual que cuando ramos pequeos el objetivo es el mismo, algo ms modernizado pero es de uso sencillo pero complejo el mantener al bicho con vida, entretenido.

Capacidad batera: Cmo te pongas a sacar fotos no dura nada y el bicho se muere si se queda sin batera, mejorable.

Buen juego que no se conecta a internet.

I’ve been a tamagotchi fan for many years, and I’ve had a Tamagotchi On and Gudetama Nano so the Pix is definitely refreshing and also very good for those wantin to get back into them too! The touch buttons are a bit odd to get used to compared to the normal buttons, but after some time it’s not too bad!
Nos ha gustado mucho, era conforme lo esperbamos, la pantalla es buena, el men es muy intuitivo para una peque de 7 aos, tiene cmara y muy fcil de utilizar.
Das Tamagotchi ist kein Vergleich mehr zu den alten.
Meiner Tochter (6) gefllt es und ich probiere auch viel mit aus. Es entspricht genau meinen Vorstellungen und ersetzt vorerst ein Haustier.
My daughter loves this, it does drain batteries though, I’m putting duracell in and after just 2 days it’s telling me batteries are low. Need rechargeable batteries for it or will cost a fortune

El clsico tamagotchi de siempre pero mucho ms evolucionado y divertido! Ahora puedes cuidarlo, jugar y entrenarlo para que se convierta en tu mejor amigo! Puedes ensearle una profesin y hacer que vuelva feliz a su planeta!

Sinceramente, no entiendo las opiniones que se quejan de la falta de opciones. Es un tamagotchi y como tal es un juego de simulacin sencillo: cuidas de una mascota para que no se muera hasta que sta pueda valerse por s misma y regresar a su planeta (tambin puedes cuidarla eternamente y quedrtela). Despus, puedes empezar una nueva generacin y cuidarlo diferente para obtener un personaje distinto de un total de 24.
Respecto a la autonoma, si bien es cierto que las pilas duran poco, aguantan ms o menos una semana (en funcin del uso) y con pilas recargables se soluciona y se contamina menos. Prefiero que vaya a pilas que a batera, ya que estas ltimas se degradan y en unos aos el juguete quedara inservible. Con pilas, tengo tamagotchis que tienen 25 aos y funcionan como el primer da.
Como coleccionista, puedo decir que es uno de los mejores tamagotchis a color que se han lanzado al mercado y el primero indito y a color que se lanza exclusivamente para occidente en diferentes idiomas. Hay que saber lo que se compra. Esto es un tamagotchi y, como tal, es un producto redondo.
