We purchased both the Tamagotchi Pix – Ocean (Blue) for my son and Sky (Purple) (42902) for my daughter, and they were an instant hit! They love taking care of their virtual pets. The only thing to keep in mind is that it goes through batteries quite quickly if your kids use it frequently. I’d recommend getting rechargeable batteries to keep the fun going without the hassle of constantly replacing them. Overall, a great toy that keeps my kids entertained.
At first they didn't work...but I found that the cases my daughter bought on temu caused the things to stop working when the case was on. When I took the case off they worked again. Super weird. Maybe the case kept it too tight.

I’ve always wanted one of the newer tamagotchis and this one was definitely worth the buy! The leaf design is beautiful and the games are very fun! When I received the package the box for the toy came in good condition with little to no dents. Thank you! :)

I bought a used in original packaging and it came with zero scratches. So far I've gotten 4 days with it and it's definitely worth the money! Just make sure you use recharable batteries.

Of course the camera is very low pixels and tamagotchi runs out of batteries all the time quick (wish had a wall plug to charge feature instead), but those are minor things. Its a lot of fun! We also got a matching blue carry case and silicon protective case(but silcon case presses on camera and limits function, so ditched it, but only kept the carrying case which was great).

Mind you I had one when I was a kid and this thing is far beyond what I had. It was easy to set up and put the batteries in, and the booklet is a long read but it will tell you everything this little guy can do. The screen is bright and easy to read and camara was actually decent, so I was really surprised.

Takes batteries. Need to change often!
For $50, I would have to say I’m disappointed that this little pet takes batteries. It lasts a little less than a week and then it requires you to use a super tiny eyeglass screwdriver to swap out the batteries. For the cost of such a stupid item that even kid wants, they should do the parents a favor and allow it to be charged.

I saw this when scrolling through amazon and remember having a tamagotchi when I was little. It was fun to play with at first, but over time got boring and felt repetitive for me. It also ate up batteries too, even on low brightness on my device’s screen. I finally took the batteries out because it kept saying “low battery” while trying to play and take care of it. And so I ended up returning a week and a half later of receiving it. I bet this would be an awesome gift to give and many would enjoy it if their into taking care of a virtual pet. I would also recommend find some rechargeable AAA Batteries as well if you are planning on getting a tamagotchi pix.

Love tamagochi pix! One concern I do have is whenever you’re done with chosing the language, you can’t change it back unless you unscrew the back. Money value is great! If I had to chose out of all the colors for it, I would chose the green one. It always reminds me of outdoors! (Entire review, including video, done by 9 yr old daughter)
Kid loves it, I like that it’s way more detailed and colorful than the digital Tamagochis. Also the larger interface is convenient. But every 2 weeks I got a 9 year old tailing me for a battery change. Wish it had a charger.

I am a great fan of tamagotchis and this rocks all the boxes . Easy to use, fun seeing all the different characters. I am on at least the 26th generation of these characters.

The photo part is quirky and new but not worth the extra money at all & the buttons are touch-sensitiv3 & way too small/close to be able to accurately tap with adult fingers causing some frustration & multiple attempts to complete simple tasks.

Right so after using this tamagotchi for a just over a week I feel like I can leave a fair review but please bare in mind I am a 25 year old adult playing with a child’s toy.
So value for money… its expensive for what it is but electronic toys are expensive these days and the tamagotchi market is booming. Previous versions are being sold for hundreds online so this is probably the cheapest you are going to find a coloured tamagotchi.
The battery life is a downfall as its only going to last 2-4 days depending how much you use it but if you buy rechargeable batteries you solve the problem of spending a fortune replacing them every few days. So it’s just a little annoying having to unscrew the battery compartment. This model takes AAAs so easy to get hold of unlike the old watch style batteries.
So on to the gameplay… the idea of this one is to raise your tamagotchi, practice a profession when it’s an adult then send it back to its home planet nice and trained. This means no gene mixing, no marrying and no babies. There’s only around 25 adult tama characters you can Hatch and this is the biggest downfall for me as gene mixing is my favourite feature. There’s a good selection of games to play with your tama and a good amount of unlockable items and backgrounds. Your tama will be relatively low maintenance after the baby stage (which is still minimal effort in comparison to older models).
The lifespan of these is a lot shorter than the older versions. Baby will evolve within an hour or so, teen within 24hrs and adult within 48hrs. They will usually want to go back to their home planet after around 4 days but I beleive there is an option to keep them instead though.
The camera feature is probably relatively fun for kids but as an adult I think it’s kinda pointless. You take a selfie when you Hatch an egg but I don’t beleive you ever see the selfie again and then the main function of the camera is to scan colours which you use to cook food and dye items/accessories. There is only a few colours you can get, grey, white, red, blue and yellow and I think that might be it. You can take your tama to ‘explore’ with the camera but again, this feels pointless and wastes precious battery life.
Another downfall is the system itself scratches SUPER easily. I read reviews saying this before I purchased one myself but didn’t quite realise how easy it is to scuff them. I have had mine a week and really looked after it, not played it more than a couple times a day and really never even touched the creen but I already have scuffs on the screen and front face (you can see this in picture 2) so I’d definitely opt for a screen protector.
I have listed a fair few negatives but If you don’t mind the lack of gene mixing or you’re buying for a child, this is probably your best bet for a coloured tamagotchi as it’s definitely the cheapest on the market despite its still hefty price. You can get these models second hand from marketplace brand new for half price so that’s worth looking in to as well. The On, Meets, P’s & Mixes are all loaded with more features than this but are a lot more expensive at the minute.
Se lo regal a mi hija de 6 aos y lleva algunas semanas usndolo. Tiene el tamao perfecto, ni grande ni pequeo. La pantalla se ve perfectamente, es a color. Los botones son tctiles NO HAY QUE PRESIONARLOS. Con slo poner el dedo encima es suficiente.
Cosas a tener en cuenta:
1 – Funciona con 2 pilas AAA no incluidas. Recomiendo unas pilas recargables. Para quitar la tapa de las pilas es necesario tener un destornillador estrella muy pequeo.
2- La pantalla se ve perfectamente, no obstante, como tiene un tamao reducido recomiendo usar el dispositivo en interiores pues en pleno sol cuesta ver bien la pantalla.
3 – Algunos modos de juego slo estn disponibles cuando el tamagotchi va creciendo, por lo tanto cuando nace apenas tiene modos.
4 – Configura bien el reloj desde el inicio porque tiene la funcin de que se pasa durmiendo de 9 pm a 9 am.
5 – Las instrucciones que incluye son bsicas y escasas. Recomiendo ir a la pgina oficial del producto para ver recomendaciones, consejos y los diferentes tipos de tamagotchis que te pueden salir.
Pro: ciertamente muy superior a la primera versin y a la otra que ha salido de menos calidad de grficos (no se la experiencia del da a da como ser), est es muy personalizable, los nios se la pasan de maravillas con l, tiene muchas opciones que les encanta, y al ser dos pueden incluso “reunirse” en uno de los juegos .
Contra:
Los botones no son muy intuitivos, aunque nios al fin encuentran los modos en el da a da, pero s que cuesta lo suyo…
Bateras: duran 2-3 das, as que hay que poner recargables s o s!; el compartimento para poner las pilas es el peor que he visto en mi vida, sobre todo la primera vez tanto quitarlo para ponerle las pilas, como despus volver a cerrarlo es un verdadero dolor de cabeza, acaba por desesperarte!, lo bueno que despus de 2-3 veces ya es ms fcil (no es que se le coja el “truquillo”, es que simplemente algo se afloja o yo que s; tenemos 2 y el segundo lleg a casa casi 1 mes despus del primero, y fue la misma dificultad del primero a pesar de creerme ya un “experto”.
En general viendo a los nios como se divierten con l, es mucho ms recomendable que un Tablet o un mvil o cualquiera cosa conectado a las redes…, y aprenden a responsabilizarse con algo si no tienen mascotas reales.

Childhood memories
Brings back memories. If you had one in the 90s, this is the 2020 colour upgraded version.
Long time Tama fan – Shop around, as prices are different everywhere, but expect to pay more for the blue and green ones, as they’re newer, different on the inside, and have slightly longer battery life than the earlier pink and purple ones. That being said, I use rechargeable batteries, and my Litron (spelling) only lasted three days, but that was with heavy use. Haven’t tried my rechargeable Duracell batteries yet, as they’re in other Tamas I’m running, but they do tend to last longer. A have a lot of rechargeable batteries, so it’s not a huge deal. A mini screwdriver is needed to press in the top button as well, to take off the battery door; just mind you don’t press a front “button” when changing the batteries and replacing the battery door.
Easy to use. It’s a bit odd that there are no actual pressy buttons, but more like nubs that are touch sensitive. Once I figured out how much pressure to apply then operation was absolutely fine. I have adult fingers too, but I manage just fine.
Camera quality is a bit low, so good lighting is essential.
There is a QR Code function, and already there is an extensive catalogue of items/accessories/rooms/decor/meals/snacks available online. There’s also a weekly mission and prize on the official website.
I recommend getting a screen protector and cover and/or case. They’re cheaper on AliExpress, but delivery is a month, but worth it.
I do not have any negatives. A manual is provided, but a more extensive digital PDF version is available online; a must have. Thee are also character guides on the official website also.
I know it’s pricey, but there’s so much packed into a colour Tama, and if looked after it will last years and years.
Keeps my daughter entertained
Lots of features. Camera is lots of fun. If you have a friend who has one, you can connect. My daughter loves the feature where you can make a unique food for you pet by taking photos of food items and ‘mixing’ them! Batteries didn’t last very long. I think rechargables are worth getting.
Fun! But expensive.
Delivered very fast and really fun and simple to use! The battery life lasted for around 13 days which is more than I expected reading other reviews, so will be getting some rechargeable ones.
The only complaint I’d have is how expensive it is for a device that doesn’t have too long battery life. But the nostalgia makes up for it and worth it when you’ve got money to spare and it’s on sale.

Il Tamagotchi veramente bellissimo, c’ sempre qualcosa di divertente da fare e collezionare.
Non ho nulla da dire sulle modalit di gioco se non che sono molto dinamiche e hanno superato le aspettative, l’unica pecca che non mi ha fatto dare cinque stelle che i tasti touch non sono perfettamente allineati con la protezione in plastica sopra quindi per far prendere il comando alla perfezione bisogna capire il punto preciso di connessione, altrimenti torna indietro o ti manda da un’altra parte. Oltre a questo, se ci prendi la mano il problema quasi risolto.
Consiglio l’acquisto di batterie ricaricabili, io dopo cinque giorni dalla prima accensione ancora ci gioco ma ho ridotto la luminosit al minimo e non accendo spesso la fotocamera, quindi dura ma magari solo con determinate circostanze, lo dico perch molte persone si sono lamentate del fatto che questo modello richiedesse un ricambio troppo frequente.

I wish they would've gone with an internal rechargeable solution considering this game leans heavily on raising many Tamagotchis over time and unlocking items for future generations. I believe that if you replace the batteries when it tells you, you don't lose progress but still, a battery hog in this day and age feels very wasteful.

there is a “continue or start again” options if batteries run out. So you can still carry on your game play as long as you obsessively look after your old game to prevent your character dying.

Requested gift by 26 yr old. She loves it. Only complaint was delivery. Was not sent out when released on 19/12 as delivery delayed by manufacturer and then again by delivery company so didnt receive in time for Christmas

De pequeo jugu a uno de estos, la versin vieja claro y bueno es entretenido. En este caso se compr para en vez de que el nio se ponga ya a una edad temprana a jugar a juegos mviles con el consiguiente peligro que tiene un nio, mvil e internet, tenga algo parecido pero mucho ms seguro y pueda estar jugando sin supervisin de un mayor. El juguete est bien pero la cmara de fotos se come toda la batera enseguida y se muere el bicho y tienen que volver a empezar.

Embalaje: Bonita caja, muy grande para el aparatito que es pero bueno, de cara a regalar a los nios queda mejor as.
Acabados: Plstico, la calidad parece correcta, luce mucho lo colorido que es.
Uso: Al igual que cuando ramos pequeos el objetivo es el mismo, algo ms modernizado pero es de uso sencillo pero complejo el mantener al bicho con vida, entretenido.
Carga: Se carga en pocas horas estando vaca.
Capacidad batera: Cmo te pongas a sacar fotos no dura nada y el bicho se muere si se queda sin batera, mejorable.
Tiempo de entrega: 1 da.

I’ve been a tamagotchi fan for many years, and I’ve had a Tamagotchi On and Gudetama Nano so the Pix is definitely refreshing and also very good for those wantin to get back into them too! The touch buttons are a bit odd to get used to compared to the normal buttons, but after some time it’s not too bad!

Nos ha gustado mucho, era conforme lo esperbamos, la pantalla es buena, el men es muy intuitivo para una peque de 7 aos, tiene cmara y muy fcil de utilizar.
I love this Tamagotchi there is so much to do with it. One problem was getting the screw out for the batteries it was too tight but my son finally managed it. I had Tamagotchi’s several years ago when they 1st came out but what a big difference with the coloured screen and things to do. She goes to the restaurant and is greeted by the waitress who gives a menu and you pick from several choices of snacks, specials and meals. There is an arcade where you can win gold to pay for the meals toys things for the house etc. Different games and activities and she needs looked after to keep clean happy and healthy. There are different colours of Tamagotchi’s to chose from when ordering but I don’t know if this makes any difference to the games. I picked the purple one which looks really nice!!. You can take photographs of your tamagotchi and they go in the album. Also when friends come to visit her or she is in the park she lets you know to take a photo! She can also use the phone. No end to her talents! She even got a snowman which she takes outside and sings to it in the snow! My one goes to ‘bed’ about 10pm and gets up about 10am but if you make sure your one is happy and not hungry you can lie it down and it will close down itself and go off to bed. (The bed is in a separate room as is the bathroom and kitchen. All fully furnished) This is good if it is a child playing with it because you can put it to bed at the same time! Make sure it is not hungry and that you feed it when it gets up as it might go off to Tamagotchi Planet or die but you get another egg to start again! I recommend this for children, but not too young, as well as adults! A lot more expensive than they used to be but there is a lot more to them. Comes with an instruction booklet in different languages. You also set your Tamagotchi to your language.

Para mi el mejor tamagotchi que ha salido hasta la fecha. Con el podras cuidar a tu mascota virtual, verlo crecer y evolucionar, ayudarlo a aprender en su trabajo y subir el nivel de amistad. Tiene juegos que cambian cada dia. Podrs decorar la sala de su casa, llevarlo de compras o a pasear al parque y que conozca otros tamagotchis. Con codigos qr podr visitar a los tamagotchis de tus amigos. No entiendo las reseas que dicen que es aburrido o que no se puede hacer nada con el, ya que es completamente falso eso. Puedes incluso pintar los muebles, cocinar haciendo fotos de comidas, entre otras muchas mas opciones. Tambin es bueno destacar que puedes ponerlo en espaol y entender todos los mens del tamagotchi. Es un producto muy bien echo y con muchos detalles. Se siente de calidad y sin duda volvera a comprarlo.
Modello a colori con tasti tattili. Multilingua quindi compreso di italiano. Fotocamera purtroppo piccola ma nel complesso molto carino. Lo consiglio a tutti gli amanti del tamagotchi
Un tamagotchi precioso, lleno de opciones, muy personalizable. Puedes cambiar el fondo, poner muebles, obtener personajes en funcin de los cuidados que le des y elevar tu nivel de amistad con ellos. Una generacin dura unos 8 das aproximadamente y t objetivo es cuidar del Tamagotchi, conseguir que aprenda una carrera y devolverlo a su planeta. Puedes cocinar, ir al restaurante, pedir comida a domicilio, llevarlo al parque, dejarlo con la niera cuando no tienes tiempo para cuidarlo, jugar a muchos minijuegos… Peridicamente, hay eventos en la web que te dan artculos descargables para utilizar en el Tamagotchi, como fondos, muebles, accesorios, juguetes, etc.
Sinceramente, no entiendo las opiniones que se quejan de la falta de opciones. Es un tamagotchi y como tal es un juego de simulacin sencillo: cuidas de una mascota para que no se muera hasta que sta pueda valerse por s misma y regresar a su planeta (tambin puedes cuidarla eternamente y quedrtela). Despus, puedes empezar una nueva generacin y cuidarlo diferente para obtener un personaje distinto de un total de 24.
Respecto a la autonoma, si bien es cierto que las pilas duran poco, aguantan ms o menos una semana (en funcin del uso) y con pilas recargables se soluciona y se contamina menos. Prefiero que vaya a pilas que a batera, ya que estas ltimas se degradan y en unos aos el juguete quedara inservible. Con pilas, tengo tamagotchis que tienen 25 aos y funcionan como el primer da.
Como coleccionista, puedo decir que es uno de los mejores tamagotchis a color que se han lanzado al mercado y el primero indito y a color que se lanza exclusivamente para occidente en diferentes idiomas. Hay que saber lo que se compra. Esto es un tamagotchi y, como tal, es un producto redondo.

El clsico tamagotchi de siempre pero mucho ms evolucionado y divertido! Ahora puedes cuidarlo, jugar y entrenarlo para que se convierta en tu mejor amigo! Puedes ensearle una profesin y hacer que vuelva feliz a su planeta!
Me encanta, tiene muchas cosas para hacer, objetos con los que jugar y personajes que conocer!

Lo compre para mi hija y lo est disfrutando mucho, yo tuve el primero cuando fui un Nio y este sin duda entretiene y tiene muchas ms posibilidades y actividades. Lo nico malo que encuentro y por ello le doy 4 estrellas esque gasta muchsimas pilas tenindolas que cambiar cada 2 o 3 das, por lo que recomiendo comprar pilas recargables. Por lo dems una compra estupenda.
La nia se cans pronto de l. Si usas la opcin de captura de foto gasta mucho y tienes que cambiar las pilas muy amenudo.la opcin de cocinar nos decepcion bastante porque si le haces una foto a una escoba y un boli como ingredientes, te cocina un risoto
soy muy fan de los tamagotchi y este es uno de los que mas me gusta,eso si,recomiendo ponerle pilas recargables porque de las normales les dura poco mas de una semana,aun asi me encanta 🙂
