How easy it is to setup
Great bit of kit. Easy to setup easy to use. Very well built and very amusing when you first switch on. One down side is you need it switch on for sound even if your not streaming

Strong product, not novice friendly though
I use the product for streaming content to twitch so, prior to purchase I done my research and understood what was necessary to get all set up. Once everything had arrived, getting the hardware set up was relatively easy however, I use a wireless headset and this created an extra layer of complexity which was not ideal. On top of this, the software itself proved difficult to understand and required a good bit of research to be able to configure the system to provide the best sound input (still not sure I have figured it out).

    Unlock your audio!
Whilst the GoXLR Mini lacks a few features from the full-sized GoXLR, I don’t really need those. The mini has changed my workflow with sound and made things much easier to manage, especially for someone like me who does live streams online. The built-in filters are great too, allowing me to customise how the microphone sounds.

This is a good thing and a fun thing too, it does what you would expect it to do quite well, my only issue with this is one of the rubber feet keeps falling off on mine and its a little annoying, but its also a pretty minor isusse even if I do feel like it worth mentioning, overall though im pretty impressed with this, I use some of the more “fun” elements of it pretty much daily, and it always manages to entertain me.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSuperbe Audio Interface !

Ive noticed that there is quite a of the reviews saying that their GoXLR mini was used because it had scratches all over it. There is a lot of reviews saying that a actually. Even people said that they got a replacement and the same it's all scratched up! There is one who even notice the sticker that says remove plastic before use but wasn't able to put two and two together. There is a plastic covering on the faceplate to protect it from scratches. Your device isn't actually scratched. Only the soft protective covering is scratched

    Fantastic mixer for streamers/content creators.
This mixer only needs few words. It’s functional and well built for its price, RGB customization is a bonus point. Plus, the software is well optimized for daily use without issues and is super configurable with routing. My personal favorite is its ability to apply real-time microphone configuration such as compression, noise gate, and equalization. Is able to drive dynamic mics, and condensers are pristinely quite from static noise thanks to the onboard studio grade preamp chip.
I would give this 5stars if it wasn’t for the odd high pitch whining that occasionally happens through my microphone output. I have plenty of mics I tested and can say it’s the Goxlr mini. But it’s minuscule and thanks to the nose gate, it just a snuffs it out. Sometimes it’s not even there.

But would I recommend this? Absolutely, worth the investment. Definitely a better long term solution for those who aren’t absolute audiophiles but care about mic quality. Even if you don’t understand that kind of stuff.

Simply the best in it’s category, for now.
Top quality materials, sound quality, and functionality. If you want the ability to adjust individual audio sources on the fly there is no substitute.

“You can do that with many audio mixers”. You can, but the beauty is in the software. And the software is exclusive. It can be a little confusing at first but if you break it down and learn the basics you can do so much with it. Like iOS makes the iPhone what it is, this software is a great compliment to this high quality mixer.

    Complaints:
    – Bigger than I thought. The top side with the volume adjusters seems pretty standard. Could be condensed but not a big deal. The fact that it’s around 2.5″ high makes it a little overly cumbersome.
    – power doesn’t shut off when you turn off your pc, you need to set a sleep mode and turn off all the lights. If your power resets for whatever reason it goes into a default state with lights shining bright.
    – the bottom left button could easily be customizable in the software as opposed to strictly an audio censorship sound.
    – why is the headphone jack on the front??
-$250 is steep. No better quality in the class but the price is definitely a slight drawback imo.

I really like this product, really helps when you play music and play games at the same time to have different volume levels, and being able to control discord sounds volumes as well. i love it.

Its nice having the mic and headphone ports on the front but just don’t have other cable near it or your phone charger cable cause you’ll get feedback coming through the headphones which can be pretty annyoing.

    Just as YouTube says
-It’s a great product! Should you buy it? Yes, especially if you plan on streaming or hate using Voice meter like I have for many years. There’s several videos on YouTube that helps you set it up. The hardest part is fine tuning some EQs since it’s unique to everyone.

-Only thing I haven’t checked to see if you can have 2 mixes. For example having stream hear chat, game, and music at one level. And you as the gamer hearing all that at a different level.

All in all it’s great if you’re not a big streamer. If you’re a big streamer I say go for the fullsize one or the RodeCaster.

    Cons:
-There’s really not any but if I had to nit pick…the device doesn’t turn off if your computer is in sleep mode. You have to go in the software and choose a profile that puts it in silent mode. (Doesn’t really bother me much.

-Still checking the software to see if I find this, but for now there doesn’t seem to have the ability to have two separate mixes. Its not a big deal

-Sidenote: not sure why most remove the protective film. It doesn’t get in the way and protects the unit. Also if you plan on using this with a blue yeti (USB type) you can, but I didn’t get it to work super well cause you have to find a sweetspot with the gain on the yeti and the gain with the Go XLR software. So just get a PodMic like I did and sell the Yeti

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersQuasi perfetto

Not required, but I now can't live without it.
I come from a professional broadcast background, I brought this worrying about the snooty reviews online from sound engineers etc. Honestly, it’s an amazing bit of kit. I use it for everything, all day every day.

It helps me manage computer sound quickly and easily. The faders get constantly thrown up and down and they’re still sturdy. The effects panel hasn’t been that useful and the record function gets old unless you have a specific use for it.

Although a great bit of kit, I feel that the mini would be best suited if it had a push to mute button like the larger GoXLR

Software is simple and straightforward, honestly if you need something to manage sound on the fly for streaming, recording or just general every day usage. This.

A great all in one unit!
As I mentioned in a previous review, I do stream here and there strictly for fun and I don’t take it super seriously. I was previously using the MV7 in USB mode, but I got talked into buying the GoXLR by a friend as they had nothing but good things to say about it, and that he didn’t regret purchasing it at all. I was getting pretty fed up with the issue I was having with the MV7 (feel free to refer to my review of the mic for more info on my experience with it, but long story short, the gain level I set would reset back to the max level whenever I would restart my PC) – so I wanted to switch to XLR to remedy the issue, and I felt like the GoXLR was a good option as it also cut out the need to use submixes in OBS as I was able to get rid of the virtual cables I was using since all of that work is done on the GoXLR.

The best part of the GoXLR is the fact it has the following built in: Noise gate, EQ, compressor and de-esser. The reason this is a great feature is because normally I would only be able to use those filters on my stream/recordings, as you can’t add any of these features through Windows – so I have the effects on my microphone universally, meaning that I’m EQ’d not only on OBS, but also on the likes of Discord with friends.

To me, the voice effects (pitch, reverb etc.) and sample pad are just an extra bonus, and I do find myself using them from time to time for comedic effect! I would have went with the GoXLR Mini, but I really liked the thought of the mechanical sliders, as well as the fact that the cost of getting the GoXLR Mini along with some decent voice changing/filter software and a sample pad would probably come to around the same price of the regular sized GoXLR anyways, and it is nice to have everything built into one robust unit.

The only issues I have with the device are strictly due to software limitations, which can and probably will be fixed with future software updates from the TC Helicon team. Their Discord server is exceptional, as they are very active with not only tech support, but with sharing their planned features for future updates.

100% recommend this unit, even just for general use, it is incredibly powerful. If you’re a streamer also, it makes life so much easier with being able to split your game and system sound, so if you have sound alerts set up, you no longer have to battle with game audio being too loud, as you can assign it to a slider and control the volume independently of the system/alert sounds, and the same goes for the likes of music and Discord/voice chat audio.

One thing I would love to see in the future is something like a GoXLR XL, or a GoXLR Pro, which has even an extra 2 sliders – as I feel like 6 channels/sliders you can assign sounds to would be a perfect number.

Perfect for streaming, complete replacement for Voicemeete
So I want to quickly address the concerns other posts have stated, it appears that the GoXLR now clearly states there is a plastic covering. The product did not come in amazon packaging but was in perfect condition upon arrival.

The second concern was about the lighting at night time, the GoXLR now has a ‘sleep’ profile. However, i’m sure previous to this the user would have been able to create this profile for themselves.

My review of this product — I have been using Voicemeeter Potato with virtual cables and the one major lacking factor was the lack of physical faders and mute buttons. I would have had to build my own plugin for the Stream Deck but that just wasn’t viable for a number of reasons.

So, the GoXLR literally replaced all of that, it has everthing I wanted and it removes any kind of buzzing or static noise which was present with Voicemeeter. Also there are 4 virtual cables labelled correctly on Windows so no need for Ear Trumpet any more as Windows > Sound Settings > App Advanced settings can handle this.

The routing table is much more simplified than Voicemeeter, it’s literally like a simple Bingo board you wont get confused by it. If my gran gets its, so will you.

I’ve read complaints about wireless headphones, and work arounds for it. I would say this is a misunderstanding of the product, the GoXLR doesn’t have a processor or Bluetooth drivers so this is impossible. I don’t think there is any musical equipment to this day that supports wireless headphones. However, I was fortunate that my wireless headphones also connect through the analog headphone jack. This allowed me to receive instant feedback without any delay (unlike Voicemeeter) and the sound was crystal clear and sharp. I plugged my sound system into the Line-In also.

The problem with the workaround, i.e. AUX from the Line-Out (GoXLR) to the Line-In (Windows) and using the “Listen to device always” you will find a strong static sound and electrical current interference. Don’t do this, just use the product as it’s designed plug your headphones into it.

Worth the money... you know you want it!
Reviewing based on being a streamer, previously had a Focusrite 2i4 which was more for music production rather than a live broadcast cast.

    Pros:
    Looks the awesome (RGBness)
Sliders save to where you want them (automated)
    Vocal effects
    Live looping with samples
    Easy to use software

    Cons
Big bit of kit, will take some room on your desk.
Pain to set up perfectly for your voice however once you do… spot on!
Only 1 XLR input. (Not an issue for most)

    Laptop users beware
    Pros-

GOXLR, but smaller, and more affordable

    Cons-

Many laptop usb ports wont supply enough power to the GOXLR Mini to drive most condenser mics. If you try to use something like an AKG P120, there will be an extremely low-pitched (almost inaudible to the human ear) hum in playback, and you can hear a “popping” noise when cutting clips together. This could be entirely avoided if you could power the device by a wall adapter.

Since the app was developed for the full-size GOXLR with motorized faders, the app is a bit finicky for the GOXLR Mini. Every time you restart your computer, you have to manually set the faders back to where they were at when your PC was shut down for the fader lights to work. There is also a bit of lag when trying to do that. It would be nice to see an update with better optimization for the Mini.

You can also save samples from the goxlr to your pc. I love trolling people with their own voices in Disocrd calls. You can change your noise gate in the goxlr app to make your mic sound really good, I use it for streaming, I even use it in call of duty lobbies when I’m soundboard trolling. Definitely worth it imo.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersProduct is NOT scratched, as per other reviews
For those saying the product is scratched, it is not, there is a hard layer of plastic covering the whole surface that you’re supposed to peal off. There’s even a sticker in the top left corner telling you so. It’s hard to get off and it will feel like you’re damaging a protective layer but it is supposed to peal off and leave a nice shiny surface with no scratches. You might need to pick at it for a while I’m one of the corners but it will eventually come loose and let you remove it, and be careful to move the sliders up and down accordingly when you get to that area.

I’m shocked some people got refunds for the product for that

Otherwise it is a great piece of kit that can be used by non streamers to quickly adjust the volume of different sound sources without having the need to alt-tab out of a game. The sound board is very fun and easy to use also, allows you to record incoming sound sources as well as add in any existing audio you may have.

This piece of kit is brilliant for what it does. With my experience with professional sound systems and having messed about with sound desks and software patches trying to get signals split from Windows/ OBS/ Discord etc…I decided to try this unit. Couldn’t have been simpler – a 14 year old could do it – or in fact a 14 year old did do it in about 5 minutes! So simple, and with XLR mic input, 48v phantom it enables easy use of good quality dynamic or condenser mics. Sound quality is very good and the app is simple to use.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGran bel prodotto soddisfatto al 100%

This is my review with the Blue Blackout Spark SL. Whatever XLR mic you use may be different from my review.

As someone who sucks at Audio and EQ, I love this device. This does simple very well and I definitely recommend this. If this is in your budget and you are a content creator, this is a must buy !!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust What Was Needed
I was using a Behringer mixer but it was to big for my new desk setup, so I saw this had been reduced in price so I bought this.

Took a little while to setup, but once setup it’s great being able to censor myself easily and also choose what I want the Mic to be muted to, so I can mute it to the OBS or Discord by changing the setting in the GoXLR App.

The only thing missing is the ability to naturally use Wireless Headphones with it, but there are way’s around that which you just need to look on YouTube for.

Overall very happy, and will eventually add a Elgato Streamdeck to my setup for Voice Effect’s as this doesn’t support them like it’s big brother.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat sound quality and extensive audio routing for streamers
Setting up audio on a dual or single PC streaming system is super easy. It removes all the headaches of getting sounds from one PC to another. The XLR mic option allows for a good choice of studio mics or you can just use it with an existing headset mic setup and it sounds good.

It works with Elgato capture cards and OBS or streamlabs. Plug and play. Control sound going into your streaming PC with one cable and alert sounds coming out with another. Super simple to setup but allows for advanced options controlling lots of audio sources.

What really amazed me is the sound quality it gives in games. Coming from a Creative Labs X3 and GSX1000 paired with Sennheiser headphones, the clarity of in game sounds is in a league of its own. It doesn’t require any gimmicks or software settings to create pin point sound positioning and depth of sound that blows any dolby, vitrual 7.1 configuration I have tried. In games such as Division it picked up sounds I never knew were in game and added to the whole experience. Honestly, even if you don’t stream this is the best audio device for playing games online with friends. At a touch of a button I can mute everything, route audio to external speakers and mute headphones or vice versa. I can adjust chat volume in discord with a slider and listen to music routed through the amp while I game. Everything just sounds wonderful.

Even if you don’t ever plan to stream, this is the best replacement for onboard audio, sound blasters and external gaming amps you’ll ever buy.

Almost perfect, lacking a few important things
So this is almost perfect for a pretty common setup but it lacks a few things that would make this a MUST buy.
Before I discuss those things, I need to explain that there is little the GoXLR can do that FREE software can’t do, so the main reason (but not only reason) you’d want the GoXLR is to move away from software to hardware which is more convenient and has fewer issues, latency, etc.

    Softare solution examples:
    a) Voicemeeter Banana for audio routing (like the GoXLRs routing table)
    b) Cantabile with Reaper plugins for live microphone processing (like the GoXLRs Mic processing)
    c) Equalizer APO for EQ on outputs (not present on GoXLR)

Of course, you may still need an audio interface for an XLR mic, but there are plenty of cheap ones.

With that in mind, let’s look at some of the cons:

    1) Only 2 outputs – A common use case for a GoXLR would be a dual PC setup + headphones + speakers for when you don’t want to wear headphones. But that means we need 3 outputs at the minimum (2nd PC, headphones and speakers). There are ways around this such as using software to switch between outputs but as mentioned above, we want to move away from that. You could also use a hardware audio switch but those can be problematic too and you might need to deal with ground loop or other noises. An extra output can’t be that much trouble, even if it increases price a bit, it would be more than worth it to reduce setup complexity, the number of devices and just make the device all round better.

    2) No EQ on outputs – again, there are ways around it, for example you can use Voicemeeter banana to send 2 different tracks to the GoXLR. You can use Equalizer APO on one of the tracks to EQ it and leave the 2nd track RAW. Then you can route the EQed track to headphones and the RAW track to everything else connected to the GoXLR. This works… but as mentioned above, part of the reason you want the GoXLR is so you can move away from software processing.

    3) Only one 1 XLR input – this is strange given the name of the device suggests emphasis on XLR. It would be cool to have at least one more XLR input, at the very least so you can switch between 2 different types of microphone. For example:
    a) Dynamic microphone for when you want only your voice to be audible, e.g. you’re streaming or gaming.
    b) Condenser microphone for when you want full room audio, e.g. you have guests or play VR

    The pros:
    – It can replace most software you’d use and makes a multi-PC setup a breeze. For single PCs, it makes audio routing and mixing a breeze. It’s so convenient and still replaces a lot of software you’d normally use to cleanup your microphone or mix tracks properly so your stream, discord or whatever else can hear the correct audio you want them to hear. The GoXLR is definitely an awesome piece of tech, but I hope they can correct the cons above in the next GoXLR version if there will be any and given its popularity, there almost certainly will be.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFantastic features. Love it, though it's a little quirky
Just an awesome piece of kit, perfect for what it is intended, but does have technical quirks. I had issues with error messages and restarts, but that has calmed down with updates and re-installs and adding power to my USB hub (yes I know using a hub is hardly ideal, but I have to, and maybe the unit shouldn’t use USB power if it’s going to be troublesome?)
If not for the slight technical issues it is excellent for beginners and does indeed provide excellent sound quality.
    Highly recommended.

Best device I've bought for my computer in a long time
This device is great even when not being a streamer, its amazing when you are though. I have the GoXLR mini and it has so many great little features if you use an XLR mic. As a XLR interface this has all the features you would want, it does processing internally so no processor usage from your PC, and the internals are good quality. There is a pretty good headphone amp so it can drive your high oom headphones and it sounds better then most on board audio from the motherboard of your pc.

The fact that it adds individual audio lines to your computer is the main selling point to me, set your music up so the fader controls the volume. Put your voice channels on the chat fader so you can control how loud your party members in discord or xbox party chat are for you. Put your web browser on music for videos when not listening to music, the volume controls can be highly customizable and it helps a lot when just using your computer or gaming with friends not just for streaming.

I would recommend this device to anyone who wants to up their voice chat to an XLR mic and wants a little more fine control on their audio. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stream and have a great audio set up.

Super komfortabel mit kleinen Schwächen [Update 02.04.2020]
Ich bewerte hier das GoXLR MINI!

    UPDATE 02.04.2020:

    Kaufempfehlung!

Amazing but design could be bette
Functionality wise, being able to control various audio channels within windows is amazing. The effects are fun to play with and the caught/mic mute is handy. However, not being bus powered really annoys me. You have a “sleep” profile which turns it all down but being next to where I sleep is problematic. I also forget to change profile before powering down which means I have to unplug the mixer.

Also from time to time the mic channel crackles and I end up resembling a Darlik. I tested with another mic to make sure but got the same results, only fix was turning the mixer off and back on aswel as closing the application and reopening it. Perhaps software related but still, this is my experience with the goxlr.

Would I recommend this item? Actually yes, I can deal with the faffing around from time to time but for those who cannot, I understand. When it works, it’s so good and has replaced my Behringer mixer. I also have a splitter for the headphones, this could obviously provide sound for another headset but I have these going into my studio speakers and it’s amazing.

Streaming wise, this thing is great fun, there’s so much to it to begin with but don’t worry, Alpha Gaming has a great video to get you started!

4 stars for me, it would be 5 but I feel it should have been bus powered and perhaps was rushed to release.

Great device for streamers when you get it setup. Not the easiest to fine tune however. Takes a bit of work to get it right and the software UI is a little clunky. Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWorth the price tag
I stream and host podcasts and produce content on a regular basis. Having a good mic is important but your mic is only as good as your mixer and sound settings.
I used to have a cheap audio interface / mixer, and I was having problems powering up my current mic (Rode Podmic). I watched many streamers and content creator rave about the GoXlr but always thought it was too expensive. The GoXlr mini changed the way I look at audio in the context of streaming and recording.
Build quality is great, it feels heavy even though it’s a lot of plastic. The faders are nicer and smooth, the lighting customization, although unnecessary, is a nice plus. And the sound quality is great.
Installing takes a few seconds, but properly setting things up to have a good sound mix can take a little bit of trial and error, although the instructions provided are clear and easy to set up. Getting into the more minute settings for your stream and such is where you’ll want to spend a bit of time.
Overall, the GoXlr Mini has been the best upgrade I’ve done to my setup. If you don’t mind giving up things like a built-in soundboard or motorized faders, the Mini version is for you as it uses the same preamp and will give you the same sound quality as the full sized version. On top of that, it is powered through the usb cable rather than requiring an external power source.
    Good buy!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOne of the best things for streamers since the equivalent of sliced bread
The GoXLR mini is still rather expensive but it’s much cheaper than the alternative, Goxlr stripped of all the gimmicks while retaining its core functionality.
    You loose;
    -motorised sliders
    -voice changer
    -Sound effects and sampler
    -de-esser

You get greater control over microphone, chat, music and system sounds.
In the software, you can set up a microphone while supporting it with built-in gate/equaliser (fewer bands than the non-mini)/compressor in both a simple and advanced mode eliminating the need for third-party software. Just to add the xlr microphone port has preamp gain which usually needed by most dynamic microphone eliminating the need to purchase a separate one usually a cloudlifter or fedhead which separately cost around 100 if you are thinking of going with a cheaper mixer. Even though there is support for a USB microphone, it is my personal opinion that spending this much on a mixer you should be using a microphone that connects through xlr for best results.
You have the mixer function through the Software too which controls both the lights and levels for each slider and additional outputs and inputs.
One most underrated functions are the routing table provided by the software which allows you to decided which output each input goes to. Confusing at first but for me one best functionality as I can listen to non-copyrighted music and have it only play through my headset and the stream here a completely copyright free music which I don’t have to hear.
On top of all this, due to the popularity of the Goxlr you can find many guides and videos that will probably fix any issues you have or if not you can get support through the TC Helicon gaming discord server which can provide fast and knowledgable information and solutions without having to send 100s of emails back and forth.

Note: I use my goxlr mini with a Behringer HA400 Microamp because I like adjusting my headphone levels without it affecting the mixer setup and what the stream hears (which can be done using the software) and able to use my speakers when not streaming without having to mess with windows sound settings.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersOverall a great produc
Overall a great product with a few minor problems.

#1 Make sure you watch all the tutorials on YouTube before you purchase. Watch all of them so you understand what you are buying.

#2 There are 2 separate tutorials. 1 for the large original GoXLR and 1 for the GoXLR Mini.

#3 Make sure to use Windows 10, make sure Windows is updated. I recommend updating your motherboard’s BIOS as well.

#4 Make sure to register your device. The serial number is on the box and on the bottom or back of the device. Do not plug the GoXLR in yet.

#5 Do a Google search for the GoXLR Discord server and join it. The most recent version of the software will be available there. It might not be up on the website yet.

#6 Download it and install it. You may have to restart your PC. Now plug in your GoXLR. Make sure you have enabled permission for Windows to access the microphone.

#7 If you don’t the app will constantly crash and programs like Discord, OBS, XSplit, Streamlabs OBS, Steam and Teamspeak will not pick up the microphone.

If you are new to software like this you will spend a good amount of time adjusting your Gate, EQ and Compressor settings.

Both the original GoXLR and GoXLR Mini have separate tutorials for this. The GoXLR Mini has a few less EQ settings than the original.

My only real complaint is that the GoXLR is not simply “plug and play”. However compared to the alternatives it’s a lot cheaper.

I really hope they re-do their tutorials soon as the software has been updated several times since the initial release.

all in all its a good mixer. but if your looking for something to control your applications externally get the KORG nanoKontrol 2 and its basically the same thing but with 8 sliders for all differant programs. You dont get xlr compatibility but a behringer mixer + the nanokontrol would still work out to be way cheaper. but if you want it all built in into one device then this is good.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersMini takes 99% of the useful bits and halves the price
This is an utterly fantastic device. If you are a streamer, this will seriously up your stream quality when paired with a quality mic.

Background: I’m a semi-regular Twitch streamer and also a software engineer and digital recording nerd. I have high standards for digital audio equipment. In the past, I’ve used Presonus, Alesis, and Focusrite USB and firewire audio interfaces, the dbx 286s processor that everybody uses, Behringer X AIR mixers, and even a full size X32 mixer for a few days until I realized what overkill that was for producing a stream 😛

My GoXLR Mini is replacing about 3x its dollar value in high-quality preamps, outboard processors, and interfaces, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The built-in preamp is high quality and has more then enough gain for my PR40 without needing a Cloudlifter. The included gate, compressor, and EQ help make your voice clear, clean, and consistent. And, although it looks like you only get 4 inputs due to the 4 faders, you actually get quite a bit more I/O than it appears – the GoXLR Mini adds 5 virtual output devices, plus the hardware mic in, line in, and optical in, and you can flexibly route all of these and re-map the faders in the GoXLR app however you like.

I’m appreciative of the ability to configure the lights to act as meters, and the full audio engineer-level control over parameters like compression ratio and gate attack & release timing. They also thoughtfully beat me to a feature request by allowing you to map the headphone output level as a fader, even though it’s an output and not an input.

I have a few niggles / feature requests, many of which were acknowledged by TC on their Discord server and are planned soon:
    1) StreamDeck integration – natural pairing for a device like this. ** UPDATE: This is available now. **
    2) Making the ‘cough’ button a toggle instead of a momentary switch. ** UPDATE: This is available now. **
    3) Visual cues when configuring the gate and compressor to see when they’re kicking in. No ETA but acknowledged by TC.
    4) The app is helpful and the ability to mix ALL of the inputs and outputs in one place is great. However, there’s no minimal ‘mixer only’ view in the app, so if you want to keep the mixer handy, you have to also waste screen space showing the profile load/save and a picture of the device itself.

At $500, the GoXLR was expensive and had features that were cool as a novelty but unnecessary. At $250, TC has hit this offering out of the park.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersProduct SCRATCHED!
The product arrived promptly as expected but sadly the surface area of the XLR was scratched (Found another review stating theirs were too) and the surface plastic layer had lifted slightly around the third slider in which was and still is irritating!

The overall XLR its self was in working order, Phantom power worked for my XLR mic, sliders etc all worked including the mechanical movement functionality.
The XLR its self was sealed in a purpose built breakable bag so it was evident it more than likely hadn’t been pre-owned.

I contacted Amazon regarding these scratches and they offered me money back in return as an apology in which I accepted as opposed to returning the item as I required it for streaming.

Now I don’t even notice the scratches as it’s sitting in a less lit area due to the onboard lighting allows me to not require a light panned over it.

It’d be a 5 star if it wasn’t scratched on arrival. I love this piece of kit and it’s worked well for my streams so far on Mixer.

If you’re thinking of buying one to improve your streams, do it.

Great product, mine was scratched slightly though
The product itself is GREAT! Although the front panel has a number scratches on it. They in no way Interfere with the running of it, it was just disappointing to look at when I first opened it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPerfect for streaming/recording or just everyday use.
I have been using this for a little while now and cant fault it.
    Sound is great.
Mixer options is very versatile and allows for alot of variabilities in sound routing.
Allows for a lot of customisation in colours, mixer layouts and more.

The original setup of the software and audio routing can take a little to get your head around at first but once you play around with it and get to grasp with all the routing it becomes very intuative.

DO NOT use with USB Mics!
I bought this to use with the Blue mic as GoXLR released a video showing how you could use the headphone out as a send to the mic input on the GOXLR. Dont use it. It’s noisy. You can hide the noise with a gate, but its always there. It’s kind of a interference high pitched whine noise. best get a Blue XLR mic instead.

    Overall Happy
I was a bit worried to spend almost 300 on a mixer, however after setting this up and using it for a while that feeling vanished.
    Super easy to setup.
Great little Interface. (After you download the Software from the Helicon website)

Does what I need it to do with ease (I am running a x2 PC streaming setup).

A couple of the best things for me is the simplicity to use/setup and also the fact you can use 1 mic and headphones which works on both computers at the same time :D.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersLights stay on 24/7. Avoid Bedroom.
I am loving this so far!

My only pet peeve is that when your pc is turned off the lights on the product stay lit, meaning you have to manually unplug it from the wall every darn time you turn off your pc… a simple on off switch on the side of the unit it’s self would have been the obvious solution.

    Amazing!
I upgraded to the GOxlr from my Roland VTC-4 and it was worth every penny, it really is miles better than the Roland VTC series

A wonderful device, incorporating an audio interface, a mixer and a soundboard
I got this to replace my Rode Ai1, which is a great interface as well. However, this bit of kit is just wonderful. I had to use the Ai1 with Voicemeeter and I never really liked how cumbersome the software was. The software for this GoXLR achieves the same thing and more but with a much more intuitive interface. The inbuilt preamp is clean and powerful enough to work with a Shure SM7B, though I use mine with the Aston Stealth(shown in the pictures). The Aston has an inbuilt preamp and so it simply means that I can keep the levels down and maintain a cleaner sound. I am so pleased with this and I am sure that most people would love it as much as I do. A hearty recommendation fro me.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSomething your imagination will exploit.
Watch all the videos from TC Helicon showing how to get the basics and more advanced functionality of this device then let your imagination take it to the next level. The sampling functions are fantastic. If you have a basic sound editing program you can fine tune even further the samples you take on the fly with this device, sampling your friends in Discord or Teamspeak or on Skype etc, then instantly playing them back. All this before you use it for streaming on Twitch/Mixer etc with the ability to assign volume controls to 4 different sources at once. I honestly can’t put into words how much I love this bit of tech. I record voiceover as well as stream and this has made my life so much easier with the instant feedback, effects, (de-esser is a life saver if you don’t have time to properly warm up before an audition with lots of swirling specialistic supersaturated words full of s sounds.). Barely scratched the surface of this things capabilities and all this is still early days in it’s lifespan. Looking forward to more software to take advantage of it’s potential.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersgreat audio interface shame about the usb cable.
After quite the wait for this to be released in the UK it arrived which was great, the main unit feels sturdy even though it’s of a plastic construction. My only complaint is the nasty low quality usb a to usb b cable that you get with it this is supposedly a professional audio device from a company that I have great respect for having owned other TC Helicon items, and the usb cable supplied I wouldn’t even use to connect a printer let alone an audio device for broadcast if this item is something you are looking at I would advise you to order a decent high speed USB cable (or TC Helicon could look at changing the cable they supply) a decent cable will set you back ~7-15 I would suggest looking for a shielded cable too.

Even with my small gripe the main system is outstanding the effects processor is of great quality and the encoder dials feel tactile and precise as do the 4 sliders for the mixer. The app is easy to navigate and has both basic and advanced options for adjustment, meaning even the novice audio tech can get setup and have a great audio interface with all the extras (sampler voice changer etc) and I expect with time and practice the advanced options won’t seem quite as daunting.

in conclusion TC Helicon have done a great job with the GoXLR and had it not been for the frustration of a poor quality cable would have had a 5* review for sure.

Absolutely fantastic piece of hardware only one day in and loving it! So simple to use and sounds amazing! I’m sure I’m not getting the most out of it but I will get back after a few weeks of use and update the review
