East to use, efficient iro
This steam iron glides over clothes, making ironing easy. It holds plenty of water and dirty water does not drip out as my old iron did. It collects limescale which it a brilliant feature when you live in a hard water area. The only thing which could be better is the weight of the unit which is a little heavy even without water in it. I would recommend this product as overall it is the best steam iron I have ever purchased.
Value for money
This is my second Tefal steam generator, it is consistently reliable and effective. I bought a different make to replace previous Tefal but returned it – I haven’t found anything better in this price range
Brilliant Iro
Absolutely love this iron. It is easy to use, irons really well, super fast. It heats up quickly and has a big water tank so less top ups needed. The best iron I have ever had. Just brilliant, definitely recommend.

I had a different Tefal steam generator and after 7 years it packed up. This was half the price it’s good but not as good as. This has a cord tidy which is a welcomed addition. However this doesn’t have an intense/focused steam button like my previous one. But this is still very very good and excellent value for money very easy and quick to use
Tefal steam Generato
This is a great steam generator, had the same one previously, really does a great job especially on my bed linen, which I don’t particularly enjoy ironing. So easy to use. Quite expensive compared to a normal iron, but I feel it’s worth the money.

Two things stand out the smell of onions (after a couple of months it’s finally getting less) and the temperature setting needs to be reapplied every time and can be a little tricky to get the arrow button to work!

Great purchase and certainly lasting
Steam generators are great, although expensive if they don’t last.
We’ve had this one for 6 months and being used constantly for a family of 4. We use softened tap water and so far haven’t found any problems.
The anti-calc needs removing when the iron reminds you but generally can be cleaned under running water.
Compared with previous irons I’m grateful that this one contains the cable (retracted inside) and iron cord (fed through the base), rather than leaving them badly coiled around the whole unit.
From an ironing perspective, it does what it says on the tin, and we don’t always find it necessary to go to the higher heat settings. There’s a trick to boost steam by pulling the steam button 3 times in quick succession, it’s in the manual but who reads those???
Hopefully we’ll get many years of use before it starts to fur up but no sign of any problem so far!

Omg I can’t begin to tell you how many steam irons I’ve had but this is the best one. I have a new one that when you press for steam water leaks all over clothes. This Tefal pro express does the job and nothing is saturated in water. Thank you Tefal! Definitely 5 star product.
Amazing iro
I can’t iron, never could, ever. But now im a flipping pro, you need clothes with no creases then this iron is legit a BEASTmode iron that will iron out anything, none stick easy glide feels like a fighter jet with ironing.

I invested in a Tefal steam iron about 15 years ago and this is my 3rd one. They have all lasted about 5 years each. Yes it’s a big outlay but so worth it. The base is heavy to lift but once you are all set up, you get through your ironing pile quickly. If you like freshly ironed sheets & clothing this iron is brilliant.

Superb. Strong efficient, good choice of features and great steam facility. This has changed my life. I actually don’t mind ironing now and wish I’d had this years ago. It also saves lots of time ironing out creases as it glides along. Love the scale tank as well, saves having to clean the hot plate or waste time with a self clean button. The buttons just light up when water tank needs refilled or when the other tank needs emptied. Brilliant! Highly recommended!
Amazon warehouse deal
I’d been looking for a steam generator iron and saw this on a warehouse deal with an extra 20% off so cost me under 90. I thought, what the hell I’ll give it a go as I can always return it. First impressions were good, though it wasn’t in a like new condition as stated. Had an issue with water pouring out of the iron but as soon as I filled up the water tank, it was resolved. Hopefully that won’t happen again. Cuts through ironing with ease and I wish I’d got one sooner! Would I pay full price…. No, but then I’ll always be that person to wait for a deal.

Awesome. Broke our last one in a fit of rage at the limp amount of steam it produced and the frequency of it getting clogged and reducing performance. This is an amazing beast and no crease is too much, including jeans I have ironed throughout COVID. This is a COVID destroying ironing menace of epic proportions. At only 120 quid it really is amazing.

I have been using steam generator irons for the last 18 years and found Tefal are the best. This is better than the last Tefal I had for 8 years but I did go up in spec as was only 48 more than the other model.
Well worth it, my ironing times been further reduced.
I will never go back to the standard type of irons.
If you are considering buying one just ensure you have a proper padded iron board as the steam will just damage the metal if you don’t.
This steam generator iron is pretty badass.
Even though the unit feels a bit outdated (hello ancient one button temp controls that reset every time you turn this thing off), but overall it is really good.
It is a rapid departure from your typical run-of-the-mill steaming iron. I used to spend 2 hours ironing my linens with the steam iron. Now I am done in one hour flat and the sheets are crispy and nice. I did experience occasional leaking of water from the iron though. What is specifically interesting is the fact that I use special de-ionised water for irons and yet, whatever came from the iron stained my shirt. The question is – what with? I think that for 200 this unit is pretty nice compared to other seven thousand different models all these manufacturers seem to make. I do prefer manual vs auto temp control. I do like calcium extraction unit (even though I have not had the unit long enough to use it). The “automatic” calcium extraction things Phillips irons use is total rubbish, in my experience.

Excellent ironing
I’ve had a steam generator for years and then it died so I looked around and found this one by Tefal and I researched it and when I got it home I was thrilled with it. It light and irons more efficiently than my previous one. Would definitely recommend it. It is larger than I thought needs a lot of room and cannot be put on ironing boards but I don’t use one anymore. Easy to fill with water. Not had to use the anti scale function yet but looks better than most I’ve seen. Absolutely brilliant!
An excellent produc
This is the 3rd Tefal pressure iron I’ve had in 20 year. I love it. The only annoying thing is having to remember to set the temperature, my previous one was “smart” and did it by itself. A new feature is the water tank lifts off to take to the tap, also a self-wind cable.

I had a Morphy Richard’s for 4 years never let me down till 4 weeks ago. I read all the reviews on other Steam generator irons but this one stood out from the rest. And I’m glad I chose it as it’s an amazing piece of kit. Ironing Egyptian cotton sheets where difficult with my other iron. But this one sailed through them. And a good price to boot.

It does the job but not as good as my last Bosch steam generator iron. Ironing takes a bit longer. However it was a good price.
Great high pressure steam iro
Amazing high pressure steam iron did a fantastic job that you cannot compare with convention irons or even with medium pressure steam iron. Be ready that item might be a bit bulky and will take some space in your storage, but it also will save a lot of time and energy for your next ironing. I loved it as and happy to select this model as my first high pressure steam iron with build in water boiler.

Wow, what a machine!
My previous steam generator (6bar) gave up the ghost and those who’ve had a good steam generator will know, you’ll never go back to an ordinary iron again.
I did my research and decided on the same make as my old one with the same bar (not tefal)
Big mistake! What a pathetic example of a steam generator that turned out to be. It served me right for trying to get a bargain.
Back to the research.and I found this little machine. Yes it’s got quite a few bad reviews but mainly about leaving brown marks on your clothes. I’d had this with my old machine and discovered that you only get the brown marks when you try to iron before it’s up to temperature, so this didn’t bother me.
It came today.
Right from opening the box I could see what a quality item it was so I couldn’t wait to give it a go.
It has a temperature control for different materials (something my old one never had) I’d always thought as the steam did the work temperature control was really unnecessary, but how wrong was I.
My favourite quilt cover is very hard to iron, so I turned the temperature up to cotton and wow was I impressed. It has never ever looked so good after ironing.
Cannot recommend this highly enough.
Good Buy
Really pleased with this. Cuts my ironing time down and seems to glide across bed linen! I soon learned you don’t need to keep your finger on the steam button all the time! The whole generator is quite heavy and you do need storage room for it but the iron itself is light and I just wish I had this years ago when the family were all home and I had a lot more ironing!

Oh if only all household electronics made your life as easy as the tefalGV9071. It’s a pleasure to use, and the sight of a pile of washing ready for ironing will not in future make you feel sick. It’s the next best thing to getting some one else to do the job for you.
Fab only one fault!
Been using this for a week now, definitely better then my old steam iron…. only 2 things they could make a lot better 1, much more Noisy then the last, not good if your ironing when baby asleep! And 2 you can’t see how much water is left in the base! This is a massive issue if like me you want to keep an eye on it and not wait for the light to show up ! I have however gotten around this by using the Torch on my phone! Still annoying though! But if you can put up with those things then yes it’s fab
Reliable Brand and reliable iro
My last tefal steam iron packed in after 11 years. From experience I knew this brand would give me a reliable and long lasting use. I looked at different variations but plumped for this one because of the 1.6 litre tank water tank and powerful output. It heats up pretty quickly aswell within a minute. Long cord aswell which definitely helps with the bigger ironing boards and a sturdy base. No complaints from the Mrs so all good from me
