Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is brilliant. Has enough power to install decking in the garden. Charges quickly and it does have an indicator to show when it is fully charged. The lights go green. Great value for money.

First time I’d ever used a drill and i would have liked clearer instructions but once I worked out how to change drill bits etc it was a very useful tool. Not too heavy and easy for an amateur to use.

I’ve had this lovely little bit of kit for 6 months now, and then, unfortunately, it stopped working. Contacted the seller, and within 24 hours I had a brand new replacement sitting in my hand at no extra cost. What a fanbtastic experience – and I can now finish installing my shelves 🙂

I’m a woman and I needed a lightweight, basic drill for work around the house. The weight of the drill is fine for my small hands and lack of muscle.
I used the drill to fix the bed I just bought and needed to re-drill holes for the wooden slats. The smallest drill bit was slightly bent so couldn’t use it! Very luckily I had a spare one in the toolbox. I checked the others which were fine and sharp. Used the matching screwdriver head to get the screws in and got the job done.
I got an excellent Black Friday discounted deal and next day delivery, so am overall pleased, but would suggest making sure you have spare drill bits as back up.

Drill bit was crooked... otherwise very good

At the same time i needed a reasonable drill to perform some DIY tasks, this one came up on offer. It has proved to be very good and very useful. It is a shame that the accessories/bits &c do not have a simple case but it was fairly easy to make/find something suitable.

Very lightweight and easy to use. Perhaps, in fact, it could do with a bit more ‘heft’ for stability. Easy to insert and remove drill bits. Works well enough on wood and light metals. Masonry may be a little more of a test especially as it is so lightweight.
Good range of bits come included.
Very good price. Even if it does prove to have a limited lifespan at this price it could easily be replaced.

I enjoyed working with this drill it did the job I had intended it to do 100% however when the battery started to show signs it needed charged I put it on the charger provided and no matter how long I charged it there was no response. I had been using the drill since I got it in March and it is only now it showed signs of needing a charge.
As it is still under warranty can I have a new battery sent to the above address. Thank You.

Came quickly and was easy to use but has a very disappointing battery life
I bought it to use with plant augers as the suppliers advised not to use these in a mains power drill as hitting an obstruction could cause the drill to kick and probably hurt your wrist. Having charged the battery to get planting I found the drill stopped working after only 30 minutes or less and I had to stop until the battery was fully recharged.
I had to plant my bulbs in three sessions after recharging the battery twice to complete the job and I wasn’t planting that many bulbs
Otherwise feels and looks a good tool but how it will cope when drilling in more arduous tasks I don’t yet know

Its smaller than many and so easy to use.
Cant comment on battery life yet. Charged it when I receivedit, took 10 mins.. Only 2 little jobs down but was great for both.
For bigger jobs (hard drilling) I would use a proper drill and use this as a screwdriver.
Saying that it was fine, used the drills included and it worked with no fuss.
The light is a good feature to. All round I recommend for diy.

    What a good buy

Really can’t go wrong with this drill in the lower price bracket range. Baffling number to choose from.

Lightweight but plenty of power. As with any drill – whatever the kind – highly recommended to invest a few quid in professional quality bits – such as Bosch – for greater accuracy and performance. Have been using this to drill 6 mm pilot holes in wood and it does it very well. Similarly perfect holes with a 25 mm flat bit. Really worth experimenting with it first on scraps just to get the feel for it.

Nice product. Excellent customer service. They were brilliant in quickly fixing a problem I had with an unusual fault. Happy customer. 😉

Great little drill really helped with my house move and made many jobs easy! Great as a screwdriver though no masonry bit included. I haven’t needed this yet as I’m loathe to put holes in the walls at a rented property but doesn’t feel quite as powerful as my old black and decker so I’m a little apprehensive for when I do eventually use. But very light weight and it’s dismantled and reassembled a bed as well as many other tasks, hanging 2 doors for example and hasn’t needed a charge yet. Great value for money and very easy to use for the layman like me.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI really needed a drill and wanted one that was battery powered and had a screwdriver function. I got this one as it was one of the cheapest in that space. When it arrived I found it smaller than I expected and lower quality. That said, it has done everything I have asked of it so far (I don’t ask much) and the battery seems to last well for my needs (I’ve only recharged it once in the last month or so). I am happy with this purchase, but will still need something more powerful for the bigger jobs.

    For:
    – Reasonably priced (although I note that the price has gone up since I purchased mine at 34.99)
    – Good enough for odd jobs around the house. Way better than doing everything by hand.
    – Battery life is okay. I was pleased than it never cut out when doing a longer job.
    – Battery slots in easily – it isn’t fiddly
    – It has a torch that might come in handy sometimes
    – Feels good in the hand. Nice size (it turns out), comfy grip, easy to get to controls, chuck-less bit change

    Against:
    – Drill struggles and slows with anything a bit more meaty
    – Case is really badly made, the drill bits are too large for their built in slots. Even the manufacturer hadn’t bother to squeeze them in and half were loose in the box. The smallest one you will literally never get to go in its dedicated slot – so be careful not to lose it (see pic).
    – This is not an allrounder – it is fine for screwing and smaller drilling jobs. It’ll need a big brother for anything else.

    In conclusion:
You get what you pay for. I am happy enough with this small drill and it gets a lot of use. Yes it has its limitations, but you can’t get a good allrounder for anywhere near this price. So I would recommend this as a practical tool to have around the house – but a no-no for any serious jobs (e.g. wooden constructions).

Could be better, but it wouldn't be so cheap!

I had a few flat packs to assemble and some pieces of wood I obtained for a little project to build a wooden screen divider, so I needed a drill to make these. The drill is fairly lightweight and easy to work with. I am a single female and never worked with a drill before, but during lockdown keeping myself busy I thought I’d try this and I haven’t looked back since. Its very easy to work with, and I can’t wait to build new things now. Only reason I gave this a 4* is that it would have been ideal to have a case to store it in, otherwise it would have been a 5* review. I guess I need to get myself a tools storage for all my new DIY projects!

I haven’t orders this to rebuild my house, just do some small to medium jobs. It’s earned it price twice over in a couple of weeks. I’ve done small jobs with it and built 2.5 meter double shelf storage from scratch with a single charge. (About 3 hours of intermittent but solid use) A perfect addition to my single lady tool kit!

It’s a decent drill, I almost returned it, because I found out that you could buy the exact same model, plus case, plus 50 or so “bits” for 3 cheaper on amazon from a different seller.
So if you want to know about the quality of the drill, then it’s pretty decent, about 2 hours solid battery life.
If you want to know about value, you can get the same drill, plus all the extras I just paid another 30 for, for 3 cheaper (and yes, I bought top quality drill bits, the ones that come with the cheaper option are probably lower quality, but not only are they free, you save money on the base drill itself too).

This product is perfect for a quick DIY. It has the necessary parts needed for a quick fix of a draw or to drill holes in the wall. The instruction manual could be clearer though. It is not for a professional though, just something good for home. If you’re a professional looking for a drill, DeWalt or Makita would be better for you.

The drill is good value for money. Comes with a removable rechargeable battery, a whole selection of drill bits and screwdriver heads. It’s light, so you can work for ages without your arms getting tired. The manual could use a bit of work but you can figure it out quite quickly 🙂

  48. Anonymous says:

    Acceptable very usable lightweight drill/driver.
Despite being 18v though, you do have to countersink for your screws as it does not do a good job of driving into the wood (eg. Decking screws into decking) my old broken 14v did a much better job. I think this is because it is a lightweight model and as such is not heavily geared.

SO if you are doing decking and/or do not want to be countersinking holes for your screws, you probably need something a bit more heavy duty

Chuck was slightly out of true when first used – had to full open chuck then fully close it, then tighten on drill bit & it improved the performance. Otherwise, for the price finding it useful for small jobs.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI took time to choose a drill as I had never used one before. The reviews seemed good for this one and somebody mentioned having never used a drill before and how easy it was to use, so it seemed ideal for me. I used it for the first time yesterday and was absolutely delighted at how easy it was to use, from fixing the drill bits in place to adjusting the speed. I put the speed down to 1 and it was slow but steady., which was perfect for me. I had a practice on an old piece of wood before attempted drilling something more important. Overall very pleased I chose this drill and I would recommend it for any DIY novice.

Bought to replace same model which mysteriously disappeared backstage after a show…
Only been used for basic stuff, like drilling small DIY holes and assembling flat packs aand scenery. But very happy with it. Powerful for its size and lighter than most
Be aware though that this particular model/item doesn’t come with a carry case. It isn’t listed in the description so don’t expect it. This is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, as it came with a carry case (at a cheaper price!) last time I bought it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you want a high end drill, this isn’t for you. If, like me, you want a drill for the occasional home improvement project, this will do the job.

Its plenty powerful for light fittings, drilling walls etc.

The major downfall of this is the locking mechanism. It quite frankly, sucks. If you are trying to unscrew something it will loosen the drill bit. Drill bits don’t sit in the end straight under any circumstance.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA great piece of kit! . I have small hands with joint and grip issues yet I can hold and use this comfortably and safely. I have previously used a bigger corded drill that was either on or off, and a low powered old style power screw driver, but decided I needed something lighter as I had to replace 15 door handles and latches. To date I’m very impressed with the speed control possible with this as it allows for more accurate drilling. So far I have drilled brickwork and wood…… 15 sets of 12 pilot holes with a screw driven into each one, and a blade bit used to enlarge latch holes in 12 doors. Recharged it twice, and it charges quite rapidly. The screwdriver function takes standard fit components, and basic assorted sets are readily available to suit any type of screw. The torque adjustment prevents overtigtening and the subsequent destruction of the screw head. Oh, and I won’t loan it to my son as it is unlikely to return to base! His verdict… awesome, he’s used 80.00 plus ones of a big yellow brand that aren’t as good….!

Putting up a shelf, build flat pack or used as a pre drill for a more heavy duty cordless for screwing up then it’s fine, worth having a simple second, no need for 2 big brand set ups if you’re in the need for 2 at the same time

  73. ThaddeuCowart says:

     United Kingdom

A few extra seconds spent choosing the exact bit to match the screw as well as setting the optimum speed for each job pays big dividends. Torque is excellent at this power level. Overall it’s a great value, versatile and capable electric screwdriver.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe overall quality seems totally decent. It will suit my purposes well. Some details:

I was surprised how physically small the drill is–about 3/4 the size of my idea of a typical drill. It isn’t very strong or fast, but it had no real trouble driving 3.5mm x 40mm pozidriv screws into soft wood without pilot holes. The clutch seemed to work well & respond to different settings, and the chuck held without slipping. The pozidriv bit tended to fall out of the hex adapter, and the bit looked a bit chewed up after driving about 20 screws (I was being sloppy about angle and pressure)–I’m sure the bit won’t last long. The drill also drilled 8mm holes (the largest bit size provided) in soft wood easily. Another review mentioned that a 10mm bit broke his chuck, on two separate drills–if I need to drill a 10mm hole I’ll buy a hex-shank bit (and use the hex adapter) to avoid that potential problem.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat… so far.
    Initial impressions are excellent.
    It looks the part.
Feels chunky, but light to use.
It could do with a bit more grunt as I’ve had to finish a few screws by hand. But it will cope in most situations.
The accessories are a bit crap and are just chucked in a wee bag, with no storage solution provided, so buy a case or a drill bit set with extra room for the screwdriver heads or thet will end up lost or rattling about your toolbox.
Battery life is great, lasting plenty time for any job.
I dont know how long it will remain that way though, as these things tend to drop charge quicker the older they get. We’ll see, I guess.
    So, summing up…
Looks great, performs well and at this price (25 quid or so) what’s not to like!

The drill is great, but the excuse of an accessory kit is a joke. Buy this for the drill – it is well worth it and forget about the accessories, the drills are soft and will blunt the first time they are used.

For a cheap drill this is excellent! It won’t tackle heavy-duty jobs, but it’s superb for everyday things. Small, lightweight, very easy to hold, even with small hands and it still has a fair bit of torque.

Haven’t used it a dreat deal but so far it has worked very well e.g. wall mounting rawlplugs masonry drilling and screwdriver function. I was surprised how powerful it was for the price. Very happy so far.

I had a look at a few different reviews, wanting to ensure if I bought a cheaper drill it still had the strength to move the steadies up and down. This works perfectly and would highly recommend for this use

This is smaller than I thought it would be and I am very pleased with it. Perfect for household tasks, although I will be purchasing a better set of drill bits. Pro tip for complete newbies: hold the back bit of the chuck (the black ribbed ring) whilst turning the upper part to the right so the jaws open for your drill bit. The instruction manual isn’t very clear on this!

I really should have given a 5 star review, and would have except for the drill bits, they are rubbish, why do manufacturers do it? Better to either charge a little more or don’t include these rubbish “free” gifts. But for the price it’s a good addition to my tool box!

This drill is quite small so was very sceptic when arrived , however it does work well , drills and stews well.
Unfortunately drill bits that come with it are not good to use , very weak , had to buy separate drill bits , but that’s not a problem
All in all I am very happy with my purchase

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI liked the blurb on this tool and when it arrived – the next day! I was not disappointed. The price was amazing and it’s power impressive – I finished the whole job on one battery charge. It managed large bolts as well as screws.

    Love this power tool

It is honestly the smallest cordless drill I have ever seen!
Its tiny, like a child’s toy!
Without a decent day’s work I can’t ascertain as to its durability etc.
Will test it out constructing my new decking area soon.

This is a fantastic drill. Smaller than most making it ideal for lightweight round the house jobs. The clutch feature stop screw head stripping. I love the little light that illuminates the job. Drills provided are limited but minor criticism. Excellent value for money. IMO look no further.

I use this drill while building scenery for my drama . I use it for inserting short screws up to 2″ x 8 into soft timber. It has been excellent for this purpose. I am sure It still has a lot more to offer, as the torque is very strong. Whether it would be strong enough for use in the building trade I don’t know.
    Very satisfied.

for the price paid for this item i was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I have used it for drilling in mortar, plasterboard and wood and it does this with no problem. I have not yet tried to drill through brick so can’t say how this would perform that task. No storage box is provided with this item but this is no real issue. My main reason for buying was as a replacement for a battery screwdriver and I have not been disappointed in its performance. All in all i would recommend for the DIY person.

I have bought this product for a Christmas present, therefore, at this time I am unable to say honestly what I think. I did not want to ignore your email so all I can add is, it arrived in excellent condition, and good time. It looks brilliant. Thank you

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI like the drill and the portable screwdriver. It is well balanced and easy to use. The tools that come with it seem to be made of soft metal and sheer off quite easily. I have a set of quality bits and drills so I was not too troubled. If you want a home quality drill and screwdriver this is the one. If you need the tools as well I can only say think a little before you order.

Golden Review Award: 67 From Our UsersI have had a B&D driver for years and used it hundreds of times, when it eventually died I got this drill/driver and it is so much better, it holds any driver bits and drill bits , changing from driver to drill is fast and easy, only criticism is “it’s just a tad top heavy” unless it’s standing on the flat it tends to fall over. Other than that, it’s not worth the 100 or the discount price of 79 but for the special offer of 35 it’s a real bargai
