Perfect to support in my health and wellbeing plan!
I recently started a new health and wellbeing plan and there are regularly soups for lunch. I find them filling and easy to grab but it can be a pain to heat on the go! Voila a thermos flask. Bit slow on delivery but to my surprise arrived with three packets of mini cheddars, which my 8-year old promptly took from me. Cannot fault the product. Many thanks.

    Nice and cold
I purchased this item to store ice on a picnic. After an hours drive to the picnic location there was no sign of melting. Another 3 or 4 hours later at home, the remaining ice showed no sign of melting! It was a warm rather than hot day but I was pretty pleased with how effective the flask was. The spoon was handy for putting ice in a glass of fizz.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent for packed lunches
Bought this for my kids lunchboxes to allow me to give them hot meals to school as school dinners are not allowed due to COVID. They live it and say that by lunchtime their food is still piping hot after filling at 8.30am. I fill it with pastas, soup and even hot sausage rolls. Spoon is a great inclusion as well as my kids have mentioned other kids at school who have flasks and forgot a spoon. Only minor comment is the spoon is not quite deep enough to be a good soup spoon.

    Great for school hot lunches
I bought this is as my step daughter had used to hot lunches over lockdown. I would never of thought to put pizza’s, toasties, wraps, sausages etc in it, if it weren’t for some of the reviews. It’s the perfect size for school lunch bag you just need to cut toasties and pizzas into 4 pieces to get inside. My step daughter now loves the fact she has a choice of hot food for school lunches.

Very happy - keeps my soup warm for 8 hours
What more can I say? I’m very happy with this product – it keeps my soup warm for 8 hours or so.

My only criticism (which drops it from 5 stars) is that the portion size is a little too small. But, other than that it’s perfect.

    Fabulous
i’m very pleased with this purchase, it looks amazing, takes less space and keep food piping hot for the whole day. Food packed at 07.30 am stays hot even at 4 pm! its slightly expensive but worth every penny! I’ll be more than happy to buy another product from Termos brand!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat. Does what I need
Very happy with this purchase. Size is as described, and more than enough room for lunch/breakfast for 1 hungry person.

Decided to test straight away. Filled with boiling water (without preheating) and checked it at 2, 4 and 6 hours. At 2 & 4 hours the water was still nearly as hot as it went in. By 6 hours it was definitely still hot enough for soup.

I imagine with preheating and not opening every 2 hours the flask will retain heat much longer, but my intended use shouldn’t be beyond the 6 hour limit, so I’m delighted.

Spoon & bowl aren’t fantastic, but I didn’t have high expectations of them. I want something to keep my food warm and it does that easily.

Wide opening, so can probably eat straight out of the container & should be easy to clea

Best flask I’ve ever had, so much so I managed to convince the 3 ladies I lunch with all to get one too! In the winter I take soup into work, I heat it up at about 06:30 and I eat it at 12:00, always piping hot still & usually have to leave the lid off to let it cool before I eat it.

    Good size for childrens portions!
This product is great for kids portions! We use when going for picnics with our 12 month old daughter for putting her hot meals in! Lasts a good few hours hot! My only complaint is that it wouldn’t be big enough for a good sized adult portion but we bought a larger capacity one for that! Highly recommend if you have children!

I bought this for my child for pack lunch. It holds quite a bit. Too much for him to eat. Must be fillies to keep food hot- otherwise it starts to cool. So 3/4 fill at 8am is Luke warm at 12pm. But fill the flask and everything stays fantastic hot!!! It’s brill

    Would definately recommend
Perfect in every way. The design of the flask and colours are lovely, food stays warm for more than 12 hours, I work on a ward and it would still be warm after 12 hour shift, the cap is a great tight seal with no leaks. Inside the cup is also a spoon so really handy. Well worth the extra money, a valued purchase to the point I would not pay for a cheap one, as I said, it’s worth the money

Quality product, works well, but quite small
Really lovely quality, well made and smart to look at. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated, but plenty big enough for one person. The little fold away spoon in the lid is a nice touch, but a bit fiddly and a pain when you are washing up the lid. It does keep soup etc hot for ages, really pleased, would recommend.

    10/10 for quality and use!
The Thermos came to my home quite quickly from Amazon and in good condition. The portion size is a little bit on the small side, but container does the job (provided you heat it with hot water for 10 minutes or so, while you heat up your food in the microwave or stove). I have no complaints at all. Thank you.

Great for kids. Hot food, no leaks.
We have been using these on and off for a year now and I can recommend.
I bought two of these for my sons to take a decent hot meal to school.

The flasks are compact, attractive and most importantly, they do keep food hot and they don’t leak.

I prepared the food at 7am, children ate at 12 and reported that the food was still hot.
Capacity: sufficient for an adult meal, perhaps on the large side for my children. I found that they heat holds better if you do these two things: preheat the flask with boiling water first; fill the flask to fill capacity. For my children, if they had the flask half full with say, pasta or something more solid, I lightly scrunched some kitchen roll and placed on top and that seemed to do the trick of keeping the food piping hot.

The bonus is the fold up spoon which gave the kids a sense of adventure and camping with their gadgety, fold-out spoon.

    An excellent product.

    Perfect.
You can pour in more than ample soup. It’s definitely leak proof. (I just put into my backpack without a second thought!)

I saw a student with one of these so decided to buy one too. I never have to worry about having enough time to get some lunch with my trusted Thermos!
As a teacher this seriously saves me much needed time.
I usually take soup around 7 in morning but some times don’t eat lunch till around 2pm … yet the soup tends to be just right.

I suggest pouring kettle water into Thermos and leaving it for 10 mins prior to actually putting soup in. Makes a difference.

Looking forward to taking it with me to hikes and on long car journeys.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersRetains HEAT & leakproof! LOVE IT
I absolutely LOVE the thermos brand as I really rate how long they retain heat. I have tried countless non-branded food flasks (esp ones designed for babies/children) and they’ve always been rubbish, food would be stone-cold only 2 hours later. I’ve thrown away so many, so decided to risk buying a thermos food flask even though I wasn’t keen on the price. But once I got it, I wish I had bought it sooner! I’ve definitely saved money using these flasks as it stops me and my husband from buying lunch out. I have 3 food flasks now, 2x 470ml flask (this purchase) and 1x 710ml flask.

TIPS: I always fill the flask with boiling water and put the lid on for a few minutes whilst I heat up the food. Once food is ready to go in, I tip out the boiling water and fill immediately with food. I also always dice and mix the dish before putting it in, I’ve tried layering before (I.e: meat on top of mash Potatoes) and it’s just a pain. Always dice the meat and mix with the carb. Looks awful but tastes better.

I use the 470ml REGULARLY, I send my husband to work with a food flask everyday as he works outdoors and really appreciates a hot lunch in the winter. He leaves the house in between 6.30-7.30am and eats lunch around 1pm and his food is always hot. Not hot enough to blow, but hotter than “warm”. He declares it perfect eating temperature, and has to leave the lid off to let the food cool if he eats lunch before 1pm. He normally has a pasta dish of some sort, which I layer with mozzarella/cheddar cheese straight from the fridge – this is melted and stringy by the time he eats it. No, I’m not an oppressed wife. Just a feeder.

I also use this food flask for my 3 year old daughter as the selection at most softplays, suck ass. I also despise buying her a lunch for her to refuse it so I find the flask is an excellent alternative, I can fill it with food I know she’ll eat, it is (usually) healthier, and it’s cheaper! (Also if she doesn’t eat right away she can eat later and it’s still warm). We normally have leftovers (rice, noodles or pasta dishes). I tend to make her lunch 2-3 hours before she eats it, and it’s always too hot to serve straight from the flask. I once made her a pasta dish for lunch around 10am, but the softplay was dead quiet and I felt awkward next to a massive “only you only eat food purchased from [softplayname]”; unfortunately, my daughter goes to nursery with the softplay owner. So, I didn’t take out the flask there, but I was still out by 5pm (daughters dinner time) and decided to see how the pasta was and it was still warm! Warm enough for both of us to eat but I didn’t have to blow on the fork or anything.

    Cons:
1: With any metal food flask, getting the odour out is always a pain. To combat this I use 1x tsp of bicarbonate and pour in white vinegar until it bubbles up and fills the whole flask. Once this calms down I fill it up with boiling hot water and leave for a few hours or overnight, then empty and clean as normal. Bit of a faff but it works. I have put mine in the dishwasher and the flask is perfectly fine but it does pick up a soapy odour which also annoys me so I hand wash it.

2: THE SPOON! If you only plan on eating soup then this won’t be an issue for you, but I never use my flask for soup, I wish it came with a spork! I always have to bring a fork with me which is a pain if I forget it, and putting dirty and used forks back in my bag is not ideal. Plus husband keeps leaving forks in his van. Annoying.

This is great. Was a bit wary of how small it looked but can take a standard sized can amount of food or most ready meal sized portions if you use those. My son uses this as a change to a sandwich type lunch for school. Keeps food really hot. Doesn’t leak. Handy foldable spoon included. Perfect!

Money & Time Saver, Great Quality & 50-Year Warranty
This food flask is undoubtedly a money and time saver.
It is a safe idea to use in school lunch packs, and its quality & efficiency are just brilliant.

With a 50-year free warranty, this is certainly a great & worthy product.

I wish, though, that it could be cleaned in the dishwasher, but washing it with a soft/silicone brush, mild washing liquid and warm water can produce just as good and even quicker cleaning results. Thank you.

    Practical & Sturdy, good size
Sleek simple design, good size for a single portion. Wide opening makes it easy to pour in, tipout or just eating straight from it.

Only gripe is that as it’s quite squat and with a glossy finish, it can be hard to grip if you don’t have big hands. A handle or some sort of indentation to enable it to be more easily gripped would be useful

Bought for my daughter who is a midwife. She uses it most days. She says it keeps her soup or strew hot for hours. Nothing to dislike, when filled to the brim this keeps food at a hot enough to eat temperature for a fair few hours, great piece of kit when out hiking, if its not filled to the brim, the food does lose its heat a lot quicker. the spoon in the lid is a great idea, and all is very easy to clean, very tough too, used it on numerous outings, very pleased

Bought this to make my yoghurt in and it’s great! Fill with boiling water to heat it up whilst waiting for the milk to cool and it stays warm for hours. I make the yoghurt early evening and the flask is still warm when I empty it the next morning. As it has a wide opening it is really easy to clean and no yoghurt wasted.

No more sandwiches or manky microwaves
I love my Thermos food flask. I get bored of taking sandwiches to work and I won’t use the microwave, the less said about that the better! So the flask is perfect. It holds a lot more than you would think. I put boiling water in 10 minutes before use, slightly over heat the food I’m using and whack it in. I leave it in the staff room at work which is usually colder than an igloo, 5-6 hours later, it’s just the right temperature.
Do try your best not to drop. I dropped mine twice. The first time I managed to cushion the fall my sticking my foot out before it hit the floor resulting in a big lump on my foot, the second time it hit the hard floor and the vacuum must have been broken as it would only keep food luke warm after that. I replaced the flask immediately and try really hard not to drop it now.

My daughter is in year 5 and she wanted bigger flask for her pack lunches. We had same brand but smaller 275ml and were very happy. Also happy with Thermos 470ml product, it came with own spoon, looks great and is definitely larger, but my daughter mentioned that food was warmer in smaller flask. Bored with Sandwiches for lunch ??? Then get this flask.l It seriously does keep food steaming hot till lunchtime. Bought one for my kids packed lunch……..and he now has hot food everyday.
Warm the flask with boiling water from the kettle, for about 3 mins, before putting your food in. Our flasks go into lunch boxes to ………the kids say their food is still almost too hot to eat at lunchtime. They love them. Great for Pastas, soups, beans, rice…..pretty much anything you want hot. A must to eliminate the boredom of the sandwich.

Piping hot soup 5 hours later!
Bought this to take soup to work as I only get 30 minutes for lunch and was regularly spending 10 minutes of that waiting for and using the microwave! To get the best results I fill my flask with boiling water before I go to bed and then when I get up I microwave my soup until very hot (about 2-3 minutes) I then empty out the water (which is usually still very warm 12 hours later) and pour in the soup. It is usually in the flask 5-6 hours before I eat it but it is still too hot to eat with blowing it! I have been using this for a year now it has never leaked and is still keeping my food piping hot! You could also use it for other tinned foods. I thoroughly recommend this flask!

Good Food flask but superheat your food to get 6hrs
An ideal size for things like lunch time soup / pasta etc in terms of portion size, I have rated 4 star for two reasons.

    1) you have to almost super heat the food to ensure that it is hot 6 hours later

    2) the spoon, certainly in terms of eating soup, is not deep enough

Other than these two issues the plus sides thus far

    – Easy enough to clean
    – It is light and sturdy
    – Watertigh

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersFaulty lids with sharp edges
I have bought 4 of these now and overall I am pleased with this food flask. It makes our lives easier, enabling me to be sure the kids have had something warm to eat when they are out and about. It allows the kids to have hot soup at school on a cold day. It means my husband can have soup or noodles if he is working late. It is brilliant. However, it has a flaw. Soon after purchasing the outer silver lid has separated from the black inner lid. I have only ever washed the lids by hand but the glue came unstuck on two of my flasks. I have only just bought the other two flasks so time will tell. The reason I’m writing this review is not simply to moan but to warn other people. Whilst washing the lids I have now cut my fingers a few times on the outer silver section of the lid (that has separated from the inner black lid). The metal edge is very sharp. I think it’s worth mentioning as I see I’m not the only person with faulty lids. It’s a shame as it’s a brilliant food flask aside from this flaw.

What an incredible product, brought to take soup to work. I usually warm soup in the morning say 7am and pour into the container until lunch time. Soup without fails is always piping hot and the spoon is a fantastic edition, although it does clank around if eating straight from the container. I have also used for ice which has kept the cubes without melting for more then 4 hours.
No faults and another fantastic product from thermos.

Perfect for those who crave hot meals and want to save money too.
A very good purchase for those who crave hot food for those with lifes on the road or outdoors!

Since purchasing mine some months ago I have used it every day, so it is totally worth every penny and has saved myself money from buying hot food whilst travelling between jobs too (which is very handy for myself as someone who is always trying to save money). As long as you remember to heat the food up in the morning, or whenever it is you leave you’ll be enjoying warm food whenever and wherever. I have even taken it for long walks in countryside and bicycle rides too!

My only slight negative would be as a big eater is that I could just fit that bit more inside the flask. Still 5/5 from me!

    Odd size?
It suggests it’s 470ml, but it’s 500ml (to the lid). It’s a big too large for a normal tin of soup and tool small for a 500ml. It keeps soup hot for about 4-5 hours. No leaks as yet and easy to clean. The rubber seal of the cap is a pain as it sometimes comes off when it’s cleaned. Still frequently using as a quite happy.

Bought this for work to have warm food at break time. This product is perfect quality and keeps the food hot until lunch time. My only down side and reason for not giving full stars is the portion size if it was a bit bigger it would be perfect. Not dishwasher safe

    Perfect for pasta
I have been looking for a thermos for my pasta and after buying several cheaper makes that did not keep the food hot this one is just right. the food does cool off after a couple of hours but it is still a nice temperature to eat. I put hot food in at 7.30 and it is still warm at 13.30.

    Excellent.
This is the business. It takes a standard tin of soup perfectly. I generally fill it with my soup at about 7am and eat lunch at between noon and 1pm and it’s always as hot as when I first put it in.

This is the 4th food flask I’ve tried. I went cheap with the others and it showed. Invest in this Thermos, it’s awesome.

    Actually works!!!
I dont like packing lunch because of the inconvenience of heating up or putting it on the fridge to avoid spoilage. One time, I packed my lunch using the thermos but then the team decided to go out for lunch. So I did not touch my packed lunch until I got home. I left my lunch in my bag (no fridge whatsoever). Surprise surprise, my food is still warm and fresh after almost 8 hours sitting in my bag. Very good product, thumbs up!!!

    Keeps food really hot!
This looks really small but you can fit a full bowl of soup in this. I would fill this with hot soup at 5.30 am and it is still incredibly hot at 1.30pm. Spoon doesnt hold too much at a time but I guess that encourages you to eat slower? Either way, its great. I have bought one for my boyfriend and some of my colleagues have since bought one too

Once again thermos hasnt let us down. I pour boiling water in from the kettle to warm the flask up first. Keeps everything piping hot. Leakproof so far, easy to clean, a good sized single portion for a hungry person ( hubby has a bottomless pit for stomach)
We bought red so its easier to see in the hovel that is the floor of his car , would buy again without a doub

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe best at keeping food almost hot after 4-5 hours
I bought this for my daughter (age 10) for school dinners, I heat up the thermos and food around 8am, she has lunch at 12 and says food is between warm and hot, so very good temperature to eat food. I’ve heated up stuff like; mac n cheese, pasta bake, rice and curry, ravioli, soup, which all work. I’ve made instant noodles to put into it but the heat turned it mushy.
Only bad thing is, I cannot turn the lid fully as the pressure locks the lid and my daughter cannot open it, so I am mindful to put the lid on but not tight, (quite loose). Because of this I’ve put 4 stars, I could live without the added spoon and rather have a pressure release, please design this for the future (other brands have this function).
I also have another food flask much cheaper than the thermos and the cheaper one is rubbish at keeping the food almost warm by 12pm, so we only use the thermos food flask. I do highly recommend, portion size is good too.

    Trusted brand
I brought this to keep my toddlers meals warm when taking him out for lunch. I wasn’t convinced that some of these fancy children’s brands were actually worth the money so went for a name I trust and have used thermos products in the past. This has done the job well so far for pasta and soups etc. Hopefully it stands up to the test of time.

excellent product. i put boiling water in this flask and left it for 30 mins, so it had to time to clean and sterile and preheat.. then put my hot casseroles/soups/ bolognaise ect in, and it was steaming hot approx 8.5 hours later, after id eaten but not eaten it all another two hours later it was still steaming hot, so i finished the dish.
excellent product, leak proof, keeps the heat in, and looks good.

Great item I use it for food not liquid : rice , chicken ect as my little one hates school dinners he has no problem eating his food from it and he says it’s hot until lunch and warm after school. I just pour hot water in it and let it say for a while before putting the food in. It really gave me peace of mind knowing my son is eating a warm meal

I will be honest, I am not as amazed by this as I am by the thermos drink flask. Probably one of the best investments of the year! Started a new job where they don’t have microwave so needed something for when I have leftovers! Definitely worth investing if you are looking for something to keep your food warm.
For me it passed the test when I put hot food in the thermos and accidentally put it in the fridge over night. When I got it out in the morning though it was still warm! That’s the moment I knew I can trust it!

Quite expensive, but very well worth the money, excellent at keeping food hot or cold, works well, love neat spoon in lid. A joy to look at in fun colours and easy to use. Best of its kind, i have tried several other brands to save money, false economy as have been sadly lacking. I have several Thermos products and find these are always the top of the range. Highly recommended

This has been a fantastic product for us. My husband takes his lunch to work and the queue for the microwave is horrendous. So with this we put hot food inside and it stays warm for 4 hours, lunchtime. He is able to eat his food warm and its not leaked in any way. Whats great is the folding spoon that sits neatly inside. Its been going strong for 3 years now!

    Great!
I love this flask! I warm it up first by pouring hot water into it. Empty the water then add my hot food at 8am. My food is still hot when my lunchbreak starts at 1pm. It holds much more than you realise – if you fill it then empty the contents onto a plate you’ll find that the plate is full. My only (minor) gripe is that, depending on the direction you’re moving the fork, it sometimes folds back up so if you usually hold it in your left hand, this could be annoying.

Read instructions, do research on how long food can be in the thermos. To avoid food poisoning!
This thermos is ideal for a mini hot lunch. Keeping liquids and mini meals at a required temperature for a certain duration. Tip: Pour boiling water into the flask whilst letting your food cool in the same duration for 5 mins. Do not place piping hot food in the thermos as it will be difficult open the flask, as the heat will cause a vacuum suction causing the lid to get stuck! Give it 5mins then add your food. After a minimum 3-4 hours you can eat your hot meal for lunch at work or even the occasional kids school dinner.

A lot smaller than i realised
I should have really checked the size of this as it came a lot smaller than I anticipated, I can fit 2 very small sweet potatoes and a chicken breast. But I should have read the description more thoroughly.

The build quality is amazing, very sturdy. I can’t see this breaking any time soon. The food stays piping hot for many hours before cooling down, I would make food hot at around 10 am and still struggle to eat food without blowing it at 2pm.

The foldable spoon is a chore to eat with, it fold in on itself very easily, but you kind of get used to it after a while (but I wouldn’t recommend for left handed people).

I like it, I would recommend it as it fits neatly in a bag and it’s well made. Just wish it was slightly bigger.

    Perfect for lunchtime soups
I work in an organisation with no microwave so needed a reliable soup flask. This flask is perfect. It is easy to fill, does not leak and reasonably easy to clean. It comes with a metal travel spoon which I do not use as it makes a noise that goes right through me when it touches the bottom! Other than that, best purchase I have ever made.

    Great for day trips
We love the outdoors and these flasks (we have three) have been just brilliant. We have owned ours now for two years and still working and looking as good as new. They are compact, but hold enough for one person. We like to take soups in them or sometimes a rice pilau. they have not leaked, and keep the food warm for several hours. The wide mouth makes it very easy to hand wash – wouldn’t recommend putting these in a dishwasher as I suspect the colour will begin to fade. Also, be careful while washing as the the rubber seal, which is translucent, comes off quite easily from the lid.

We rarely use the lid as a bowl as the mouth is wide enough so you can eat directly from the flask with a spoon. The spoon itself is a little finikety to use, but conveniently folds up and clips onto the lid.

Excellent product. Wasn’t sure if I should have got bigger size but this was perfect. I try to manage my portion size and this easily fitted a whole tin of soup (it very nearly fitted a whole Covent Garden 600g soup in). Warmed it up with boiling water and it kept my soup piping hot for 4.5 hours, and I’m convinced another 4-6 hours it would have still been hot.

Best soup flask money can buy
I bought this for my wife. I’ve had mine for over 2 years and use it daily and its still going strong. Leave to soak for a couple of hours ever few days with a weak bleach solution inside and its clean and as shiny as new. I’ve tried a number of flasks over the years for my soup and nothing can touch Thermos King. Just get one and don’t bother shopping around for ones that will leak or go cold quickly or break.

I have the 470ml version of this. Holds a perfect amount of soup for a good meal / tea for a couple of people.

I have made tea at 7am in the morning and drank it piping hot at 1pm in the afternoon.

Its a good size to fit in a bag and carry.

The only downside is the spoon that comes on the top of the inside lid does tend to come off a little too easily. This is really not a big deal I would still absolutely get another.

    Best lunch purchase eve
This is an excellent buy if your fed up of bland sandwiches or cold lunches.
I brought this two weeks ago and have been using it every day since. On the first day I done as it says, heated it up for 5 mins with boiling water and then added in my warmed up soup, 6 hours later when I went to eat it it was as hot as if it it just come out of the pan and I had to leave it open to cool down for a bit.
After that I skipped the pre heating because with a soup if you only need it hot for about 6 hours you don’t really need to pre heat it. Without a pre heat it’s still very hot.
This week iv been pasta and have been pre heating for a few minutes with just hot water from the tap and still works pretty well.
I was initially worried about the size but it’s big in enough for one generous serving of food.
The best lunch item I have ever purchased. Only downer is that the mouth if the thermos is a but narrow, so have to be careful putting food in and makes it a bit tricky to scrub the very bottom of it ….but this is a small price to pay for what you get.

I could not be happier with it. I have bough 3 of these flasks as I am currently on special diet and need to bring my own food everywhere. I use them daily, wash manually. Food is still piping hot after several hours – just don’t forget to pour hot water first to warm them up and then content – if you want to keep it hot. I am eating every 3h and after soup being in the flask for 9h it is still warm. Spoons are of good quality, same with overall built of the flask. I travel with my flasks everywhere and even cycle with one, they have never spilled even if transported upside down or on a side.

My son decided that he wanted to start taking soup in for his lunch at school. Instead of trying to pour and eat soup from the standard tall/skinny flask, I decided to look into the wider, stubbier versions and went with this one. It’s a little more expensive than some of the flasks, but I think the extra couple of pounds seems to be worth it. I’ve not had any leaks, and the vacuum is maintained. My son reports that the soup is still hot after 4+ hours, and it’s his favorite colour. Bonus: it comes with a spoon, so it’s a nice, compact unit. The flask seems to be built well, and lives up to the Thermos brand hype. I’ve read elsewhere that the rubber seal has been an issue. Truth be told, yes, it does come off sometimes while cleaning (by hand), but it goes back on fine, and holds it’s seal. Overall, if you’re looking for a decent flask for eating, rather than drinking, this hits the mark.

This was for my fussy eater boy who only likes hot food and hates school dinners. Keeps food hot for hours and holds a good portion size. I mainly use it for soups, stews and pasta and it’s not disappointed once. The integrated spoon is great and keeps everything together in a neat little package. Top quality. Only little niggle is neatly getting the food in the top but this is probably not helped by my rushing to get it done each morning.

I REALLY wanted to like the equivalent Stanley Food Flask more than this one… BUT THIS IS MUCH BETTER! It’s lighter, smaller but contains the same amount as the Stanley. The absolute best part is that you can take the inner seal off it to clean the lid properly, and it doesn’t ruin the vacuum like it did with the Stanley!! A lifetimes guarantee means nothing if you can’t get the parts in this country. BUY THE THERMOS!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSouper lunch for one or two people
Used now for four months for work lunches, 2/3 times a week. After pre-warming, keeps soup hot from about 6-6.30 until i eat it just after noon, and would probably keep it warm enough longer. The capacity is enough for lunch for one, or perhaps two with a roll to share.

Contains space its folding spoon, so once the soup is readied and the lids are on, lunch is self contained in a reasonable small size, reducing clutter in my bags and on my desk.

This + home made soup = 5-6 lunches for only 1 or 2, so the flask has paid for itself many times over.

All metal exterior, I have one small dink in mine now, but performance has not been affected.

Overall impression is high quality, with a nice solid shiny external finish, and metal interior.

Only certain type of Foods are kept Warm - Beware before buying.
Keeps only certain kinds of food warm. Any type of food that is closely packed such as rice, pasta, soup, sauces or mixed dishes such as rice with sauce or pasta with cheese sauce etc. Does not keep many other typical food that we take like bacon, egg, nuggets, sausage, pastry, grilled meat, grilled vegetables etc.

So, if you want to have a warm meal you have to take food that the food flask will keep warm. Not the one you want to take. You have to decide if this is worth buying.

Unfortunately not your usual locked lid locked scenario which can be released with hot water / oil / rubber band. I had just about written it off, but thought I’d try a different approach. So this time I heated the food on the hob, instead of the microwave, scalded the flask before I filled it and it worked a treat!! Food was perfect temp 4 hours later, happy days. I haven’t tried it any longer than that as don’t need to. I never leave reviews but thought this brilliant wee flask deserved one, it’s brill ;D!!!

    A Decent Food Flask
Good, durable product that is easy to clean. It loses a star because I found it didn’t keep my food warm for very long even though I filled my flask with boiling water beforehand, I maybe got about 5 hours before my food was more tepid than warm. This is fine for most people but as my shifts work, I don’t always get lunch at a set time so sometimes it was annoying. Other than that I can’t complain!

Thermos is a premium brand and this is a premium product. However one thing I have noticed that the nine year old boy user of this product does order a varied selection of food he can take into school. Because he is in a hurry to play football sometimes he does not eat everything in the thermos, as a result there are remnants at the end of the day. When I questioned him about this he said “Im not good at digging down to the bottom” perhaps Thermos might take this on board and design a shorer design for school kits meals, a moulded divider also would be useful to keep the Katsu curry source from soaking the chicken and rice on the way to school lunch. Lovely product, well made and beautiful, everything you would expect from Thermos

    Keeps food ho
After trying lots of flasks that did not keep the food warm I tried this one. It’s brilliant. My soul after being heated with breakfast is usually too hot at lunchtime. Also used for pasta, rice, chilli etc. Doesn’t keep them quite as hit but still got enough to eat at lunchtime and the opening is wide enough to be comfortable to eat out of. Also love the flexible spoon, easy to eat with, easy to clean and fits well in the lid. Only issue I have is trying to open the tub at lunch, the vacuum is so tight that I struggle to open it. Would be better with an air release button. Other than that, I recommend it.

We super love this food flask. We bought 3 pieces of this food flask as our family loves warm food when we travel and go on a picnic.

This is a perfect replacement for your typical lunch box if you want to keep your food warm.

Thermos lives up to its name and promise. It indeed could keep your food warm for about 9 hours. It also has a foldable spoon which perfectly fits in a compartment on its lid. This is very commendable for its durability and the quality of the stainless steel.

Even my friends and colleagues gave compliments on how good this food flask was and even asked where this can be bought.

Make sure to follow the instruction on how to properly wash and take care of this product if you want your food flask to always look like new.

    Problem:

    1. It is hard to clean inside if you have big hands 🙂

    2. Be careful in closing the lid too tight. One of our food flasks get almost distorted/loose thread because we closed it so tight and we can’t open it.

30 so very pleased and would buy agai
Heat it with boiling water for about five to ten minutes with lid on whilst I really heat through my food. I’ve had thin and thick soups and COus cous in it, soup hot, cous cous warm bit soup was filled to too cous cous wasn’t so I was expecting it not to retain heat the same. I fill it at 8:30 and lunch about 13:30 so very pleased and would buy again.

    great little flask
Great flask, I work as a carer so spend a lot of time travelling around and have no access to microwaves for heating food. So this little flask is fantastic, will hold a full can of soup and have even put pasta in it. One recommendation I would definitely say is to pour boiling water into the flask for 20 minutes or so before you put the hot food in, this way I have found it is still a good temperature 6 hours later.

This is the best product I’ve bought for ages. I bought it as my kids needed hot food at lunchtime at school. Sandwiches weren’t been eaten. Hey presto as soon as I bought this, all food was eaten, which meant less grumpy tired children at the end of the day. I bought one initially then I bought another one as the other child requested one as well. I’ve so far used it for pasta and sauce, chilli with rice, soup, meatballs. Keeps it hot and still steaming when it comes out. Has resolved the packed lunch issue and children not eating anything.
