The heart of this unit is a 32bit DAC and gives it beautiful, rich sound quality that is silky smooth. I input the analog output into a Cambridge amplifier and it is a joy to listen to. Unless you have a very high end separate DAC, then the digital output is completely unnecessary.

This unit is very simplistic and features no bells, whistles, flashing lights, or complex displays. All of the cost has been put into giving excellent sound reproduction.

It is let down by one thing. The bad reviews about sound quality are probably from people who have used the included phono patch lead that this unit comes shipped with. THROW IT AWAY! It is garbage and makes this player sound atrocious. Get a good lead (as short as possible, low oxygen, gold plated contacts) and your ears will thank you, the extra cost (I paid 19.99) is well rewarded.

    UPDATE.
After owning this for just over three months it decided to commit suicide and never work again. The guys at Richer Sounds (where I bought it) were brilliant and gave me the full value of the unit off a Marantz CD 6007 player instead (a far superior unit and worth every penny of the extra cost).

I will never buy Tibo again, as their reputation is shot to tatters with me.

I bought this for my 88 year old father who only listens to CD’s. This was bought as a replacement for his 30 year old player which stopped working. Very easy to install and very easy to use.
Sound quality excellent as you would expect from a product from Richer Sounds. Have not used for anything other than to play back CDs so i can’t comment on other functions such as MP3 playback.
    Looks fantastic too.

    No complaints from me.

Despite the fact that you can’t set up the clock, everything else is pretty good, great build quality and excellent sound.

Outstanding value for money, good quality hi-fi, easy to use remote control self-explanatory. Sounds great.

I use this to replace my sometime-works-sometime-don’t Pioneer disc player.

The price is the most attractive bit. It has been well build and feel solid. The sound quality is more than reasonable with good clarity. Although it is not the top notch, it can easily be comparable to player costing several hundred pounds.

I prefer the display to be a bit larger — something one can read a couple of metres away.

I would respond to some adverse comments here as they made me having some hesitations into buying one.
    1. The play would not start when a CD has been inserted. That is not a fault. CD players should be designed like this. One has inserted a CD, than should move back to the sweet spot of the HiFi speakers system; it would only then the CD should start playing using the remote commander.
    2. The CD would not play continuous work. I suppose that it refers to the lack of a skip-gap play function. Gaps have be introduced by the CD manufacturers who think that there should be a break there. Otherwise, they can produce the whole CD without any gap. The skip gap function is something I definitely will turn off if present. It often skip the quite moment in some pieces of classical music — a highly undesirable function.
    3. There is no user manual. There is actually one in https://tibo-electronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/TI-435-CDP-Manual.pdf
    4. The clock would not keep time when the unit is powered down. Not an issue for me. Why does one need a clock on a CD-player anyway??

CD just slides in, no fiddly tray, nice colourful LCD suits your mood.

Pleasingly designed and very reasonably priced but the best thing about this CD player is the quality and clarity of the sound. Highly recommended. The addition of a USB port is great, too.

Bought this to replace my Dad’s old JVC that had finally given up. Connects easily to his JVC amp and sounds brilliant.
So happy to be able to play my CDs again.
Excellent service and speedy delivery too.

    Great quality CD player.

This CD player is excellent hooked it up to my hi fi amplifier. It doesn’t have a clumsy draw to open. You just push the disc into the slot., great quality. I’ve hooked it up to my amplifier in the lounge.

I bought this to replace a 35 yr old Goodmans CD player. The `British` was a huge incentive since Brexit, but i am struggling to find out where the item is actually manufactured, i`m thinking NOT Britain, as that would have been well boasted in the product description. However, I am very pleased with the product. I have played a variety of music types, and for me they all sound fantastic. I have it set up with my pioneer amp, and jamo speakers, both of which are 30 plus years old, but the sound quality is fantastic. Yes, the main Power On button is on the back, but all the other operations are remote control, which is easy to operate. The CD player was set up, connected to amp, and playing CD`s in 5 minutes. If i had the spare cash, i would be tempted to try a TIBO amp and speakers to see if there was any improvement in sound using all `Same Brand` equipment. To sum up, I would recommend this CD playe

I am running the TIBO TI435 CD Player through my old Pioneer system where the CD packed in working, I’m running via coaxial connections but there is an option to connect via optical cable
the USB port & power switch are located on the rear but that’s not much of a problem to me personally, but because of this I only rated it 3 stars on the ease of use otherwise if these had been on the front I would have given it 5 stars all day.
All in all very pleased with this nice solid & tidy piece ok kit
Almost forgot you can also change the light around the CD control to different colors, looks cool
you wont be disappointed the kit is great, thanks for reading

TIBO TI435 CD Player - Top notch player looks and sounds great - all for less than £100.00

This is solid and sleek CD player with slot entry for CD (no draw). Remote control operation for power, although there is a power rocker switch on the back if you do not want to leave on standby. Basic controls and simple but clear display. For the money the sound is good and CD transport quite and effective. Had to send first unit back for replacement as its ticked away like a mantel clock. Replacement arrived quickly and works faultlessly so far. Good basic CD player for the money.

Just a brief comment to correct misunderstandings here about the VD player. There is a power button in the back, but then you can switch it in to standby either by tapping on the dial on the front, or using the remote. I am just puzzled about how to set the clock….

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to replace my TEAC player which had suddenly decided that it got bored of what it was laying after a couple of minutes and stopped playing. I had bought TIBO speakers last year and qas very pleased with them, so I opted for the TIBO player.

As far as loos, build, sound quality, functionality, etc., it is very good and will suit anyone looking for a basic CD/MP3 player. It plays standard audio CDs, MP3 CDs and can play music from a USB Memory stick appropriately formatted with MP3 music files on.

The only complaints I have about the unit, which ios worth mentioning, is that the front jog wheel which acts as play, FF, RW, track skip has a coloured ring which can be changed on the remote only, from red, blue, green and off. However when you turn the unit off, if you have the ring set to off, it turns on with a red colour. The LCD clock is okay, but difficult to see unless you are directly in front of it, and if you physically turn the device off using the switch on the back, you have to reset the clock again when you turn it on, which is annoying.

The USB port on the back is also very close to the optical out, so if you have a high quality optical cable with a decent thick plug, you can find that some chunkier USB memory sticks won’t fit. The one I have trouble with is a USB/CD card adapter which I frequently use having a stash of SD cards. This will plug in, the the cable locks me using the SD cards in it. It can also on ver4y rare occasions be twitchy if there is something in the MP3 file it doesn’t like, and will suddenly stop. I’ve only encountered this a couple of times and reprocessing the MP3 file ona computer with GoldWave or Audacity fixed the problem.

Also, it can’t display CD Text or MP3 filenames, so you are stuck with basic track and folder numbers.

As a basic unit, you can’t go much wrong with this if you’re just looking to play CDs and MP3s.

Never thought I would have to buy another cd player but have hundreds of cds with not enough time to put on computer. Messing about with media player on computer is a pain so this is great. Real old school – switch on push in LISTEN – with no robots asking you stupid questions!

Excellent CD player, great features and versatile piece of kit, with optical output, multiple format playback options via USB port. Excellent build quality. I don’t understand the negative reviews, doing something wrong I’d say. I was able to set the clock via remote and the eco friendly power switch at the back puts the player into standby mode when switched on. Thank you Richer Sounds.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was putting together a separates stereo system a mix of vintage kit and new amplifier and cd player. Righto then this is a review for the TIBO 1435 CD player not the amp of tuner or anything else ! . I admit I did not intend to buy this CD player as I could only see a couple of reviews about it all the rest seemed to be for other things made by TIBO and they are all lumped together is it to make it seem like they have sold a shed load of units ?. not a great thing when considering making a purchase !! To be honest I was trying to buy a different C.D player that was 80.00 more expensive than this one on the morning I made my purchase but Amazon decided for some strange reason that they could not delver it to my usual delivery destination , my home. so I tried my local post office as an alternative but no go with that either, I tried to order several times without being able to and was getting more than a little peeved, I tried customer service to find out what the hell was going on ?..not being able to speak with a human that time of the morning and only able to get the useless problem Auto Bot thing that they use to supposedly answer any questions , that never does,,, I thought screw it and bought this C.D player instead as I needed to get off to work and time was running away, while it is not the one I wanted it does the job , it may not have any whistles and bells but it sounds o.k , the remote is tiny and does not fell like it is a quality bit of kit but at this price ? it is not the most intuitive player to use and having the power button on the back rather than the front is just plain daft …why , who thought that out ? if you want to know what everything on it (there is not much ) does you need to go online and look because the instruction book is tiny and is just a basic get you started guide , it does have a USB input as well but I have not tried that yet . Like I said the CD player works , it sounds good , not great, but good, and it is a basic unit at a basic price, ohhh and it is a shame they do not make a sliver one, overall at the moment I am happy with my purchase and thanks to Amazon playing up and farting about I am 80.00 better off

I recently replaced my old Denon Hi-Fi system with a Yamaha R-S2020 Tuner, and bought this as an accompanying CD player. The sound quality is very good, and I am pleased that I can now play CDs with mp3 files as well as commercially recorded CDs. Good value for money.
