The watch was easy to set up and has a good battery life. But after wearing it for 8 hours it leaves a harsh imprint on the wrist. I tried wearing it slightly looser but it didn’t help.

After 2 months of use and being my daily watch, I want to share my experience with this product.

Wear OS works perfectly smooth combined with the hardware of this watch.

It is a medium sized watch that fits very well in the hand, is very light for everyday use; I feel very comfortable I feel very comfortable using it.

The screen does not have a lot of brightness ( Lcd type) but its possible to see it in brightly environments or outdoors. It does not have automatic brightness control so it must be adjusted manually depending on the situation.

Health sensors work very well (oximeter, blood pressure, steps, sleep monitor, etc) are quite accurate compared to other watches.

The wristband is comfortable and can be adjusted very well to different hand sizes.

Microphone works very well for calls and the speaker is loud.

Battery performance is acceptable although it falls short if all the monitoring functions are activated. Currently the maximum battery life I have managed to get is two days without activating the stress monitor.

The magnetic charger is very handy and attaches perfectly to the device.

In conclusion to my review, it is a watch that fulfills its functions very well and I like it a lot. I highly recommend it for price/quality.

    Nice watch for the price!

I bought this as a replacement for a second generation Moto 360 that was getting long in the teeth. This is a decent upgrade. The one problem I have is the stupid charger that all of these watches seem to come with why would you put the cord where it’s going to fight with the watch band? Why not have the cord come out of the size of the little charger instead of out of the top of it, where it is in the way.

I recommend buying a second party watch stand type charger because this one is annoying.

This is my daily watch now — consider this a three -month long-term review.

tldr I like it a lot, for being a functional and stylish enough round watch, that has access to the Google store (meaning a huge selection of watch faces!)

Although built off Google’s os, the software tweaks by Mobvoi and fast hardware combined equal a much smoother, lag-free experience. Much improved from my experiences w plain Jane Wear OS on previous tech (including the previous iteration of this guy, the C2) which always were a bit laggy.

Speaking of the back to back comparison, the two watches are roughly the same size, diameter -wise, but I was surprised to see how much thicker the c3 is, presumably given an the new tech they cram beneath it.

Health readings, steps, all related health telemetry works perfectly fine to the extent that I use it (minimal, aside from step count). It does pick up an O2 oxygen reading better than any other wearable I’ve tried, but this is still the most difficult thing to measure accurately, I’d guess, from the wrist.

The screen is big and great and bright enough for any amount of daylight–i err between the dimmest setting for inside to the 2nd dimmest outside (1-5 iirc). Quite nice screen, esp since I usually do ‘always screen on’ with the attached watchface..

Battery life is acceptable, but that’s still a low bar for smart watches. I’ve had some of the smaller devices with longer battery life (measured in weeks not days or, god forbid, hours) and it’s really great to be confident ditching the charger on short multi-day trips.

This is not necessarily THAT watch. (Mine in that case is the Ticwatch GTH pro with an honest week-long life on one charge, used judiciously.)

The C3 improves on the C2 in battery length, but I ended up turning always screen on off –if worn to bed, I didn’t find a habit that reliably allowed me to charge it enough to keep it charged. Losing battle charging in the morning. This was with afaik all the settings ‘ON’. (!)

Currently, I’m simply not wearing it to bed often-again, rather thick!- so it has time to charge overnight.

That’s my solution. If you’re efficient with battery use, this can go 3-4 days–but you’d need to be planning from jump street.

Overall, it’s a great watch! And sometimes wearables don’t even meet the standard of crappy watch… The device is snappy in menus/responding to commands it looks great, like a time piece, and uses a regular watch strap (meaning I have a ton already compatible–10mm iirc).

The screen is great but not whack -your-socks-off colorful and vibrant. It’s highly legible and a high enough resolution to where there’s no visible pixels.

For the price, it’s a phenomenal watch

Top option for a round smartwatch today

This is my favorite watch yet. The TicWatch E3 is on par if not better than Apple and Samsung watches at a better price.

I’ve previously used Ticwatch Pro 3, and this Smartwatch is a major improvement with a lower price.

The watch uses Google’s WearOS, an android distribution that comes with custom watch faces, Google Fit, and the Play Store. With previous watches, this operating system has proved problematic with frequent crashes and high memory usage. However, WearOS has improved much in the past year and this watch handles the operating system nicely. I’ve yet to encounter any input lag or software issues.

The watch also offers TicHealth, Mobvoi’s exercise and health service. This service is comparable to Google Fit. The differences being that TicHealth has a different companion app, different UI, and more usage of all the sensors the watch has. TicHealth also includes TicSleep, a sleep tracking app that works automatically as long as the watch is on. I find this app extremely useful due to it’s Smart Wake Up setting that wakes you up outside of deep sleep with vibrations to help you actually feel rested the moment you wake up.

The watch itself is very durable in my experience. I’ve accidentally bumped the screen against a doorknob numerous times and it’s never left a mark. The stock watchband is also quite durable and comfortable against the skin. The band is also easy to detach and replace if you choose to buy a different one.

    Background
I have the original Ticwatch Pro, which has served me for many years. This smartwatch is a major improvement.

    Startup
Firstly, the start time of this watch is only a couple of seconds. It’s snappy.

    Battery Life
I have it taking my heartrate and oxygen saturation all day long, it lasts all day long and dont even need to charge everynight.

    Performance
The interface and apps are snappy. I have installed some of the browser apps and was surprised to see that videos on youtube were playing. Really cool. Apps open up quickly and are responsive.

    Notifications
Notifications alert me. I can customize which ones I want to see. It vibrates strongly to alert me, and sometimes I turn on audible notifications.

    Phone Calls
Every so often I enjoy taking calls on my watch, it’s loud, and the listener can hear me clearly.

    Essential Mode
There is an essential mode on this watch, but it’s not like the Ticwatch Pro, there is no secondary liquid crystal screen. It uses the regular LED screen, with a much simpler interface with the date, time, and steps, and you can take your heart rate by pressing the secondary button. Essential mode allows you to extend the battery life of the watch.

    Summary
I love this watch. It’s a marked improvement from the last one.

UNICA PECCA , che usandolo tutti i giorni, soprattutto in chiamata, A VOLTE SI SPEGNE ( CON TUTTO CHE LA BATTERIA NON SCARICA) SI SPEGNE!!

I bought this watch to replace a Skagen Falster 2. I loved the look of my Skagen (round face, metal body), but I was always frustrated by the performance and battery life. The performance of the E3 is much better. The tilt to wake works well, and the touch screen is fast. It’s quick to connect to the watch via Bluetooth and the Bluetooth range is surprisingly far. My Skagen always struggled to establish a Bluetooth connection for reasons that I never understood, but the E3 is quick. I like the round face of the E3, but it isn’t nearly as elegant looking as the Skagen. The plastic body of the E3 has a cheaper-looking aesthetic. It’s also significantly bulkier than the Skagen. The battery life is improved, and gets me through a whole day as long as I don’t over-use the fitness and health monitors. The wrist-band is the same size (20mm) as the Skagen, so I replaced the plastic band that came with the E3 with the mesh, metal, magnetic band from my old Skagen. That helped improve the look of the watch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had been using a TicWatch E2 every day until it took on water (my mistake), so I was in the market for another WearOS device. The E3 already adds many features listed in the description for close to the same price point as the previous model, but to me these are the biggest changes to my day-to-day.
    E3 Pros:
    – Better aesthetics. It’s a handsome watch — the curved and beveled glass looks sleek and feels more premium. The glass design is conducive to effortless swiping and feels great on the fingertip. The housing has an attractive gunmetal finish that is much less plasticky and toylike than the E2. Even the strap is nicely designed and less of a rubber tire around your wrist as with the previous version.
    – Better performance. At this time, the E3 does not have WearOS 3, but the Snapdragon 4100 all but ensures support later on. The user experience is night and day compared with the E2. Everything is fast and smooth as a smart device should be. The extra multi-function button can be customized for quick launching anything (I set mine to Fit Workout) and holding it is a shortcut to main system options. The sensors seem to measure quicker and I have no problems having my HR and other metrics displayed on aftermarket faces through Facer.
    – Better battery life. I am able to squeeze out 2 days’ worth of juice with the E3, when previously I struggled to last 1 day with the E2. I like my smart watch to still act like a watch so take note, this is the battery life with Always On screen activated.
    E3 Cons:
    – Charger incompatibility. The E2 chargers do not work with the E3 (confirmed with Mobvoi support) even though they appear like they would. It’s a shame really, because the E2 came with a nice desk dock-type charger and a separate travel charger while the E3 only comes with 1 travel charger. By extension, if you are already invested in E2 accessories, then you will not find much compatibility with the E3 aside from the strap, maybe.
All in all, the TicWatch E3 is an impressive WearOS device. Feature-packed like its predecessor, but also adding a lot more in its value proposal. If you are in the market for a quality daily driver, this should be in your short list.

Best One Yet – More Than an Incremental Upgrade

I received my E3 mid August, and have worn it almost daily since. It’s not overly heavy, and the band is very comfortable. The screen is big, good for my big fingers. Sound is decent, as well. It’s handled bumps and scrapes from work (aircraft mechanic) and home, even a few glancing blows to the glass – still scratch free. Bluetooth stays connected, which I’ve had issues with on past models. Battery lasts a couple of days, but I was able to get almost 4 full days by shutting down all the extraneous functions and running it in “essential mode”. This leads to my only complaint: to exit essential mode you have to reboot the watch. Kind of a PITA, if you’re trying to access something in a hurry. Otherwise, it’s been solid and reliable.

This is actually a great watch! This Ticwatch E3 is a very light watch, was surprised on how light it is. Reason is I think it’s made of plastic, not metal, but the watch feels really well made. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor makes the watch feel pretty snappy. Only lag I’ve experienced is right after turning it on but after that it runs great. The display is really good, can see it well in the daytime. Only con about the display is that there’s no auto brightness so at night it’s pretty bright so have to turn it down manually. Which is easily accessible from the quick settings so really no big deal. The watch face pictured is the Pixel watch face from the Google Play store, wasn’t a fan of any of the built in watch faces. NFC with Google Pay works flawless, no issues with that yet. Mobvoi’s set of TicHealth apps is pretty good. Tested out all of them. The only one that doesn’t work that great is the TicOxygen, keeps saying detect failed. I’ve noticed the only way to get that to work is to wear my watch on the inside of my wrist which I don’t do. The band that comes with it is a cheap band but it’s comfortable, I’ve got another one ordered from Amazon. Also bought a charging stand for the watch since I’m not a fan of the cable it came with. The cable will be good on travel trips, just wanted a stand for every day use. Oh and regarding every day use, the battery life is decent. Easily lasts all day if you turn off tilt to wake and turn on the battery saving screen option. Overall, again this is a great watch for the price. It currently has Wear OS 2.5 and read it all be updated to Wear OS 3.0-looking forward to that, will make this watch even better. If you’re looking for a good Wear OS watch and on a budget, this is definitely a great choice!

I have a Ticwatch Pro that I purchased in 2020 that I have loved because of the dual screen feature. I still use it today even though I have newer Garmin and Samsung watches. This Ticwatch doesn’t have the dual screen feature or any outstanding smart watch feature, but is a solid watch that is responsive, good-looking and very light and comfortable to wear.

I’ve been using this watch for about 5 weeks now and it’s been a great experience. This watch uses the Wear OS platform and works well with it. It also works with the Mobvoi app to provide additional versatility with the health and fitness features of the watch. It has a 1.3″ bright LCD, sharp resolution and glass screen. The watch body is polycarbonate and comes with a silicone strap. It worked fine during my daily wear in a mostly indoor construction management environment. It’s IP68 certified and I used it several times in my hot tub or in the shower without a hitch. The watch lasted me 2 full days wearing it continuously even during sleep and with normal use. An extra day would have been appreciated, but that’s about the norm, even though my Garmin Venu watch lasts me 5 days+ with normal use.

It features WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and the usual motion/health sensors and I used all of it’s features. NFC with Google Pay worked as it should and the GPS positioning was precise with Google Maps. It monitored my heart rate and daily steps and workouts accurately. Calls sounded good and loud with the built in speaker and mic. It’s got all the expected health monitoring and sleep features and the Tic suite of health apps are as good as Samsung’s or Garmin’s.

So why would you purchase this watch? It’s got a next generation Snapdragon platform, it’s both stylish and sporty, very easy on the wrist, sharp and bright screen, has all the expected features and best of all, it’s only $169.99. It’s a great addition to my smart watch collection!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOk ive had the Tic Watch E3 two weeks and its time for a review!
TL:DR its great, go get one and try it out!

My last watch was an asus zenwatch 2, so ive been out of the game for a little bit. I was looking for something new and affordable since upgrading from a note 9 to a S22 plus. The Tic Watch E3 is really it!

Initial setup is a breeze and had everything going within minutes of taking it out of the box.

    First things first,
The battery life. Its great, up to two days between a fast charge before work (takes about a half hour i think to get a full charge). Im using all the bells and whistles too. Heart rate, steps, sleep, oxygen, gps, spotify and probably more. Really quite surprised actually considering how light this watch is.

This watch is LIGHT! i almost dont like wearing watches because i like my arms to weigh the same. Lol but seriously, between the weight of my old watch and its battery life, i just stopped using it. The Tic Watch E3 is some serious hardware and weighs almost nothing by comparison.

The display, its bright and easy to read even in full daylight and adjustible. the touch sensor on the watch is very well made too. I never thought a keyboard on a display that small would be easy to use. But it is! Ive used it to log into my Tic account to keep track of my activity. And used it to reply to messages. Its surprisingly easy and accurate.

Sleep tracking is very informative, I’ve actually been sleeping better now that i can see how my routines affect my sleep. And when i feel like i didnt sleep well i have all the info i need to convince my self that i actually did.

Heart rate, steps and GPS are all very accurate and informative. Makes me want to do more in order to break previous records ive set or keep consistent. And when ive been sitting too long it gives me a reminder to get up and move around for a little bit. Extremely helpful when im on my pc too much. (im always on my pc too much)

Its also very easy to manage which apps are notified by the watch and to silence your phones notifications when the watch is active. Helpful so you aren’t buzzing on both devices.

Ive been using the Tic apps exclusively on my watch and have no complaints. Plenty of stock watch faces available by default. And through apps like Watchmaker and more you have an endless supply of watch-faces ranging from all the data displayed you can think of to absolute minimal.

Instant familiarity if you’ve used any other or previous android wear product with a suite of features and options you’ll find on more expensive models.

Waterproofing is very acceptable, i dont plan on swimming with it on (personal preference here, i know the watch would be fine) but i get dirty at work. Ill run it under water to wash off the grime before washing my self up and have had no issues.

The glass is tough too, its still as pristine as the day i took it out of the box. Despite the abuse my work causes it.

And last but not least, the watch band it comes with i thought i would replace almost right away. As i did with my Zenwatch and almost any other watch (smart or regular) ive owned. To my surprise i did not need nor want to do that in this case. Its just fine, it works, its comfortable and unless the band wears out or breaks ever ill keep it.

In conclusion to my review, i really like this watch. Ive become more active and generally enjoy using it. Highly recommend you try it out yourself.

TLDR; Solid WearOS watch that actually works. Decent battery life. Screen size is big enough to read without being gaudy. Watch strap is the best I’ve had (details below) and the actual watch is lightweight. You can even use a picture from your phone as the watch face without a third-party app.

I snatched this watch because I misread an article and thought it had WearOS 3.0. It does not (yet at least). That being said, it actually works wonders with WearOS 2. My old WearOS watches would lag when getting a phone call and I wouldn’t know until I got the voicemail (I keep my phone on silent because I’m not a savage), miss notifications, and would generally be frustrating to use.

The E3, not so much. It’s snappy and has a decent battery life. If you want your battery to last forever, get the Pro 3. If you charge yours at night by habit like I do, this watch is more than adequate. It lasted 2.5 – 3.5 days between charges days for me with normal use out of the box. After doing some customization (lefty app, cardiogram, tweaking developer options) it’s goes 1.5 to 2 days now.

The big thing for me software-wise is that the apps actually work when you tap them and I get phone calls to the watch when they happen. You can actually talk with the watch. The audio is pretty good and the person on the other end can hear you.

Hardware-wise , let’s talk about the strap. With all my other smart watches with a sport band, the end would always slip out and flail around. They stuck a plug (pictured) on the piece that fits into the notches on the strap to hold it in place. I didn’t realize how much the slipping and readjusting aggravated me until it wasn’t a problem any more. 10/10 highly reccomend. The watch face strikes a good balance of being large enough for my old man eyes to read and being small enough for my wrist. The material on the actual watch looks and feels like a strong composite, but it is super light. I don’t feel like I have a lead weight tied to my wrist.

From the Mobvoi app, you can set your own watch face. Mine is a picture of my kid. I love it. The best part is I also don’t have to use a battery hog watch face app to do it.

    Pros:
    Servicable battery life
    Custom Watchface
Processor is fast enough that WearOS actually works
Watch band that stays in place.
    Looks nice and is light

    Cons:
If you want to go forever between charges, spring for the Pro 3.
The lefty app doesn’t flip the essential mode. Would like to see a mechanism to flip the display without a third party app.

    Great WearOS watch!

    Great watch overall for sure!

Tested it in the shower and it works great! No effect from water but there is a water drain feature under settings for the speaker which is cool! Haven’t had any issues on the watch but I’ve had that happen on other devices where a bit of water will make the speaker sound odd for a bit.
Sound is great! The video shows me ask a question and you can hear my Google home next to me answer a fraction of a second earlier but the sound from the watch comes in very clear! Functionality is smooth! Tap to pay is nice. Great tic watch apps built in, customizable side button is real nice.

The design is sleek, I’m a big supporter of the classic round watch face over the i watch unless you have like a tag heur or something. The band it comes with is compfy and stylish but also easy to swap out if you want.

Components seems strong and durable. I haven’t put a screen protector on yet but like doing that. I haven’t had any issues with scratches or scuffs anywhere on the watch so far though and it definitely dinged on things a couple times, it still looks the same as it did new.

The battery life is similar to iwatch i think. could be improved a bit. I used it since about 9am till 7pm and it went to 65% so that’s about equal to iwatch and its better than an iwatch overall, so bonus. Also there’s energy saving settings im sure i could get longer.

The sensors have to be in the right position when reading so they couldn’t read sometimes but i guess that makes sense.

It kept prompting me to allow all permissions to use each app and it was had to tell which ones affected which things. I ended up just giving all the permissions to use the apps. Every company has them I just wish there was more emphasis to the privacy and anonymity of the data we give.
Still, it’s nice to have all the biometric testing and tracking!

Overall a great product with great features and functionality.

Quality watch. Great features, great price

This is a fantastic watch for the price (especially considering how expensive flagship watches are today). However, it’s not perfect so here are some of my dislikes:

The vibrator – it was louder than I would have liked, and I just didn’t like the way it sounded (more of a personal preference). I also couldn’t find a way to shut it off I was only able to turn off the sound.

Sleep Tracking and Features – The recorded time of sleep seem to be pretty accurate, but the sleep efficiency rating doesn’t seem right to me. For me it was always ranking it highly which was conflicting with the other watch I was simultaneously wearing (Galaxy Active 2). But what bothered me was when the screen kept turning on while I was trying to sleep. I couldn’t find any kind of sleep mode to prevent this.

Google Pay – Great feature but I don’t like that you have to have a watch pin or password to have it active. I would rather just enter a pin or password before using Google Pay instead of having a pin or password on the whole watch. If you don’t mind having a pin or password to open your watch, then it’s really no problem.

Battery Life – I kept the heart monitor and GPS on 24/7 and it’ll last the whole day but not much past that. It’ll get you a few more hours through the next day but it hasn’t lasted a full 2 days without using battery saver. I would have to charge it every night so if you want to be tracking your sleep this could be an issue.

Other than that, it’s a solid watch and I still believe it’s worth the money. The software runs smoothly and it works well with my phone (Note 10+). Would recommend this watch.

For the price range and features available this is an excellent purchase for anyone who wants to buy a new smartwatch. This was my 1st smartwatch and can safely say I would buy from TIC again.

Great watch, battery isn’t great but it’s the same for most watches. Works seamlessly paired to my phone. Android wear os is so easy to use.

I’ve been wearing this watch for about a week now. Pros: easy to set up right out of the box! I even got a new phone after setting this up w/my old one and had to re-link it to my new phone and everything went well. Easy! I like that it has all the apps I would need. Payments, music, notes, messaging. It has more than enough heart rate tracking, oxygen monitoring, step tracking, active time ect. I was more interested in this watch as less of a fitness watch and more of a phone companion and I think you could easily set it up to do either very well. As for battery life I think it’s good! I don’t have a ton of experience to compare to but it lasted ~3 days depending on what activities I did. Cons: I think a lot of the watch faces are weird. Would’ve liked more choices that are subtle. A lot of them were very in-your-face techy and that’s just not my jam. More subtle is nice so you can dress it up or down, wear it for workout or for a night out kind of thing.. Also I think they could update the phone app. It would be great to be able to manage my apps on my phone app so that it’s a bigger screen. Especially during set up.

Overall, great value for the price and I think it’s a good buy!

I have previously owned a couple Mobvoi smartwatches and other small-brand smartwatches/Wear OS devices. This one packs a whole lot into a great price point!

Performance: The watch is very smooth and responsive with the Snapdragon 4100 processor. I haven’t experienced any lag whatsoever on the watch.

Battery life: I average about 2-3 days with normal usage. This is better than a lot of other watches on the market, since it allows me to wear it to sleep more often than others.

Screen: The E3 has a large vivid screen. Colors pop and look great. The size fits the entire interface, which was a problem on some previous Ticwatches. It does stick out a bit, which makes it look a bit nicer but more conducive to scratches.

Sensors: This is a HUGE plus for the E3. There are so many chips and sensors jam-packed into this watch that rival others significantly above its price point. They work quite well compared to other active bands that I’ve worn.

Construction & Build Quality: The watch is on the lighter side, which is great for those who are on the active side. The band is silicone, and the casing is not as hard or heavy as it looks. Hopefully this is good news for drops. Unfortunately, the bezel is a bit larger and the watch quite a bit thicker than I would like, but that seems to be paired with all of the features packed into this watch.

App: Having to juggle between the Mobvoi app and Wear OS is a bit tedious, but the Wear OS app is only necessary for a few functions (changing watch face, tiles, et al). The Mobvoi app is a HUGE improvement over past versions, and the interface is great for seeing a quick overview of activity and health indicators gathered from the various sensors.

Overall, I like this watch a lot and am excited for the functionality of Wear OS combined with the hardware packed into this great value smartwatch.

I was looking for a watch supporting the latest version of Google WearOS that also provided Oxygen Saturation measurements, in particular, as part of the sleep quality monitoring. The spec matched my requirement all within a very smart looking watch. Build quality is good and the Mobvoi Ticwatch App syncs well with the Wear OS app.

This arrived on time I’m and does exactly as it is supposed to. I primarily purchases for the NFC function which works very well. It was a little bit of a fiddle to set up, however it tracks everything that I require in a simple straightforward manner. It is pretty accurate in the uses to which I have put it. This was an Amazon warehouse purchase and and it represents exceptional value for money; so much so that I purchased a spare. F1 is seeking to purchase an NFC device with Google Wear, then this is a cheap way in particularly if a good Amazon warehouse purchase is available.

Good: Top-end android wear device, which runs actual android wear. Has all the bells and whistles you’d expect. Battery life has been lasting me about 4 days between charges. Activity tracking seems on par. I do not wear watches when I sleep so cannot comment on the sleep tracking. The heart rate tracking seems to be very quick, faster than prior fitness watches I’ve had in the past.
I only used the NFC once simply to test it, otherwise I tend to use my phone directly for NFC payments. Worth mentioning, watch band that it comes with has many adjustment points, which is great, as a few past watches I’ve had only had a few holes, and I always tended to be between two sizes.

Bad: The only bad thing I can even say about this watch, is the watch face itself ended up with a scratch halfway across it within the first six hours of putting it on. This is more puzzling as I literally put it on when I woke up, and sat at a desk most of the day. So what could have caused this scratch is beyond me, but didn’t give me great confidence in the type of glass used. I put more emphasis on this specifically because this watch is replacing a prior Ticwatch Pro which suffered a cracked screen after a few years of ownership. I’ve docked one-star for this. I could chalk it up to my own carelessness, but honestly can’t think of where it could have been scratched, or how. If there was a “feature” rating for durability I’d simply dock it there instead of the overall, but it wasn’t an option.

Great economical choice, with all the bells and whistles.

Note: All comparisons to opinions based upon 16 months of ownership of a TicWatch Pro 3 GPS
Note 2: Promotional consideration provided by the mfg, but this is an honest assessment of the TicWatch E3 Smart Watch

As the summary says, this is a great all around Android smart watch. With the stock silicone band, it would be equally at home on a hiking trip as it is as a daily wear piece

    Pros:
Price point – it would be a tough sell to justify the extra $100 even with the nitpicking I’m going to attempts in the cons section
    Screen is vibrant!
    Fast and responsive to inputs
    Lightweight

    Cons:
The charger orientation on the back of the watch is 90 CCW from the Pro 3. Doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it would render any of my cradles useless if I went to a bracelet style band.
    Screen size: 1.3 vs 1.4
Feels just a hair thicker than the Pro 3, but I have not objectively confirmed

    Verdict:
This is a TON of watch and features for the cost. Would recommend if you are looking for a watch that you plan on using like a swiss army knife – daily wear, activity tracking, sleep tracking…. I like the two button setup and the customizable launcher. The only serious dig on this that would cause me to pause is the screen size. These aged eyes benefit from every .1″ possible.

I own an existing Ticwatch Pro which I liked but it is getting older and becomes slow. When I found a good deal on the E3 I thought to gave it a chance. Luckily it was a good decision, as the E3 turned out to be a very good one.
    PROS:
    1. Look and Feel: the watch looks elegant, the screen is bright and sensitive and the watch is way lighter than my previous Pro one.
    2. Speed: the watch is very fast thanks to the new processor and increased ram.
    3. Connectivity.
    4. Fast charging.
    5. Small size charger.
    6. Price.
    CONS:
    1. The screen has kinda thick bezel which decreases the workable screen space. On the good side, that bezel doesn’t look bad and if the watch face is black then it will not be noticeable.
    2. The strap provided is a silicon one which is not that fancy and looks a bit cheap. Nevertheless, it is comfortable once wore. You can also fit in any 20 mm strap you want.
Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase and recommend the watch.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAt less than $200, the Ticwatch E3 should be the easiest purchasing decision you ever have to make when considering a smartwatch, especially if you have an Android phone. One of the few watches guaranteed to receive Wear OS 3, the next generation of Google’s smartwatch operating system, the Ticwatch E3 beats most of the competition in nearly every category, and I’m not being hyperbolic.

I have owned a number of Wear OS watches, all but one made by Ticwatch. My most recent purchase was supposedly one of the top ones out there – and the Ticwatch E3 bests it almost everywhere. Battery life was probably the best of the Wear OS watches out there, and actually gives the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra a run for its money. The sleep tracking was much more accurate than the previous unnamed high end Wear OS watch I owned, and only dropped my battery by a few percentage points each night. It has a highly robust suite of native Ticwatch apps in addition to every app traditionally associated with Google, including NFC and Google Wallet to pay for purchases wirelessly. The list goes on and on so….I will make a list.

    Pros:
    – Amazing battery life. I can’t state this enough. I get notifications all day long, I use the microphone to enter tasks and reply to texts and emails, take a phone call or two, and often use the timer. I charge the watch in the morning while I shower and get ready for work at 6:15 AM, and currently at 9:23 PM the watch battery sits at 63% – a huge leap over other Wear OS watches. This is with GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi on standby, vibrations on, and the Always On Screen activated. Seriously, check out the screenshot from the Wear OS app.
    – Sleep tracking that rates the efficiency of sleep, never misses a wakeup or bathroom visit, and I believe tracks REM fairly well. MUCH better than Foss….I mean, the other watch that I owned. Syncs sleep with Google Fit to put all of your data in one place and gives extremely detailed information within the Ticwatch Mobvoi app.
    – Lightweight. I barely feel this thing on my wrist.
    – IP68 rated for swimming. Yesterday, I swam in a lake for a good chunk of the day, including accidentally falling off of a paddleboard into the water. It allows for a touch lock mode to prevent the water from “touching” your screen, yet still responds when I turn my wrist to activate the display. Zero problems.
    – There is a mode that extends battery further with a low power screen that only activates when you turn your wrist. It is the picture with the red numbers. A leap ahead of the second LED screen that Ticwatch has on other watches.
    – Has a native app for recording the sounds around you, such as sensitive conversations that may need to be recorded (with consent of course).
    – The widest variety of exercise modes that I’ve seen outside of a Garmin. I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t really exercise, and even I’m impressed.
    – FAST RESPONSE TIME. The Snapdragon 4100, combined with the 1 GB of RAM, makes this watch speed through every action and has no lag that I ever noticed.
    – Did I mention that it will get Wear OS 3?

    Cons:
    – I got used to the fast charging on my other Wear OS watch, and so the E3 charging feels slow, but it is probably just “normal.” Nonetheless, I have never gotten annoyed by it.
    – The body of the watch is some kind of polycarbonate something or other, instead of the heavier metal materials that a few others use. Theoretically, this means that it is not as break-proof, but I haven’t been easy on it and it’s been fine for me.

Those are all of the cons. Seriously. I love this watch and didn’t expect to love it this much.

Inexpensive and robust - best Ticwatch yet?

My Fitbit got recalled and I’ve been using Android as my phone OS for a few years. Thought it was time I got a WearOS watch. After a lot of research I decided the TicWatch E3 was the one. Mainly because it will get the highly anticipated WearOS v3 when its released, unlike a lot of other watches.

The watch feels nice on the wrist, the strap is comfortable and the screen very clear. Some people marked down the screen as it is LCD not OLED but I’ll be honest, it looks great to me.

The OS is smooth and there’s no lag in switching apps. Because its WearOS, the play store is full of apps you can install on it.

The GPS is accurate and tracking a run/ride is very simple indeed.

Charging is simple and fast. A USB cable comes with it that will charge it from empty to full in less than an hour, and it has a “essential mode” that you can turn on manually/or on schedule – that saves so much battery, you won’t see a drop over night. I use the schedule to switch this on at 22:30 and then off again at 07:00 – I don’t want to be getting notifications, etc at night. So it makes sense to save the battery this way.

Overall I’m extremely glad I settled on this watch.

    Excellent first steps into smartwea

It has nearly all the features of my TicWatch Pro 3 for a better price. It uses the same processor as the Pro model so it doesn’t lack in the performance department (as seen from the video). The display is using an LCD panel so it is supposed to be a downgrade from the pro model’s OLED but unless you put them side by side you wouldn’t see the difference. It has all the features of its bigger brother thanks to the Wear OS. The only place where Mobvoi has cut corners to bring this watch to this price point is the plastic casing of the watch which still looks good in my opinion. Overall a great watch for the price.

am coming from a Tickwatch Pro LTE
Which has been a great watch for the past few years but it’s time for an upgrade. The Ticwatch E3 is not top of the line by any means as far as materials go, the case is made of plastic and the strap was very thin and flimsy so it was the first thing I replaced. Also added a film type screen protector since none of the glass ones cover the entire screen. As far as performance goes, I’m very happy with it. The heart rate and blood oxygenation are pretty accurate compared to the ones my wife uses for her practice. I don’t care to wear a watch to bed but I gave it a shot for a week to check out the sleep monitor and found that it works very well on top of finding out that I move around a lot. I like the automatic exercise detection and choice of over 100 different exercises. Battery life is great and I average a day and a half depending on usage plus you can put the watch into essentials mode and extend the battery life by utilizing minimum functionality. The onboard memory is great for loading playlists or podcasts so you can go for a run or to the gym without having to bring your phone, just add a set of wireless earbuds and you’re good to go. The built-in GPS is awesome as well for keeping track of your runs for walks. There is also a breathing app to keep you centered during your hectic day. Overall, I really like this watch and think that things will only get better once wear OS 3 is released. If you’re looking for a great watch on a budget, this is i

The TicWatch E3 from Mobvoi is a competitively priced smartwatch that combines a classic Wear OS experience with fitness tracker abilities, including exercise logs, heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. Battery holds easy 36 hours of normal use. It is very lightweight (32 grams) and very fast to move through the menu options. IP68 rating makes it suitable for swimming, and once you finish your swim, it will even drain itself of excess water. Inside the watch, you get a built-in speaker and a microphone for Google Assistant commands and taking calls directly on the watch. Audio output proves surprisingly punchy and clarity is good enough to make and take calls too. Having Google integration means you can use first and third-party apps like Google Maps, Google Pay (as the E3 supports NFC), Spotify and others, all available on the Google Play store.

Between 100-140 cheaper than the Pro 3 series and featuring almost all the functionality of the device this watch is actually impressive. The 4100 processor used really makes the device quick and responsive; it’s only let down by a couple of point mentioned below. There are functions not found out of the box on other devices.

    Things that really standout:
    – Light weight and a smaller form factor.
    – Wide range of sensors for automatically detecting some exercise types, walking, running, sleep (out of schedule).
    – The System UI, apps and functions are smooth as butter, you can really tell the internals run very very well and can run anything you throw at it.
    – An adaptation of essentials mode is featured on the device; switching to a reduced screen and many WearOS functions are disabled.
    – Sleep monitoring works well and detects out of schedule sleep sessions (naps). Added some images showing some sleep sessions.
    – Google pay opens quickly and is snappy.

    What could be better:
    – Battery life under my own tests yielded just over a day worth of charge; You could extend this by disabling various automatic sensors.
    – The LCD screen protrudes from the watch body slightly; so doesn’t have the extra protection of the watch body/outer frame like the Pro/GPS line.
    – LCD screen instead of a LED based screen.

For the cost it’s a very good device for anyone looking to explore WearOS and explore Mobvoi’s Health and Fitness applications.

I can give this review on the basis of a lot of experience I have with smart watches. I have a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, which is usually my go to sports/exercise watch. My Garmin is a fantastic watch, although very expensive. However I felt that the features I get from it, required me to pay the high price tag. That was until I found this E3 Smartwatch from Mobvoi!

    In brief, the Mobvoi Ticwatch E3 is a fantastic all rounder at a really good price. Here are the main reasons I would highly recommend it;

    The price:
This has to be the top reason – the number of features you get with this watch far exceeds the cost when compared to other smart watches. I really was surprised that you can get a watch that pretty much does it all, for such an amazing price. I bought it for 175 and I’ve even seen it cheaper on a Deal Price. I simply cannot find a smart watch on Amazon that is better value for money when considering the features.

    The looks:
I mainly bought this watch as a day-to-day work horse. I love my Garmin, but that is for sports and I wanted another watch that was just looked good. The photos on Amazon don’t do the watch justice. It looks really good on the wrist. It is light, so nice to wear all day long. You can change the strap too very easily. The screen is so good, even when it’s in battery saver mode, so on the wrist it just always looks good!

    The battery life:
A huge selling point of this watch is the very good battery life. My biggest issue with smart watches is that I hate it when the battery doesn’t last. This was a big reason I chose this watch and it didn’t disappoint. If you use the battery saver, you can even get upto 3 days, if you go for essential mode it will last I think weeks! Let’s just say, I’ve never had it run out on essential mode. It’s just not something you need to worry about on this watch.

    The always on:
I also like my smart watches to be on, even when I’m not looking at them. I don’t really like having to always raise my wrist or touch the screen to turn a watch on, sometimes I just want to glance over at it on my wrist and see the time. I also like it to look like a real watch to other people, not just a black screen. With the Ticwatch, the battery is so incredibly good because of their screen technology, I can easily have the always on display without worrying about battery.

You can use it for any sport:
I primarily choose a smart watch for sports. As I said, I have a Garmin for this, so didn’t buy this watch for that purpose, but more as a general watch day to day. What surprised me was how good this watch is for sport. It has an app for pretty much anything and tracks it very well. I love the fact that it’s waterproof and able to track my swimming.

    Make Payments:
I love being able to leave my wallet at home and just use my watch. It syncs easily to your Google account and you can pay for things contactless, just like a card. It’s easy to set up, and easy to use.

    Health features:
I love the continuous heart rate monitoring and stress management. It’s constantly checking you and again, you don’t have to worry about battery. It’s very useful to know this data to see how healthy you are and what you can do about it.

    Fast & easy to use:
The watch is responsive and fast. The screen is clear and bright.

    Everything else:
There’s not really anything not to like about this watch. It’s amazing what you get for your money. You can install any apps you want from Google Wear, including new watch faces. There’s even apps testing your hearing, washing your hands reminders, and you can take calls through your phone, on the watch. It does pretty much everything and looks good too.

I recommend this watch very highly. It is an amazing all-rounder. It does it all, with a good battery and looks great too. The price for this quality of watch is superb.

Incredible Features, Looks Really Good and Unbelievable Value for Money.

Having previously had a TicWatch and my kids now wanting one (and of an age they can appreciate it) I bought this having preferred the brand to others. Yes there are cheaper options out there but it’s the WearOS that made the decision.

So, the watch is light, perfectly shaped and easy to setup which is important as I don’t want them lugging heavy about. Battery life seems good compared to my Samsung watch and priced correct for what it is.

Sleep function seems accurate enough and overall very pleased with it. All in all having had Samsung, the Huawei and this, it’s a decent mid range watch with loads of functionality.

Great functionality for mid range offering

The Ticwatch E3 – I’m seriously impressed and happy with this watch.

My favourite parts are the bright screen, speed of use and heartrate log that can be viewed on the watch or in the App. It’s got a really good battery life in comparison to my old Samsung watch too. It’s lightning fast (intentionally I’m sure, judging the Qualcomm Snapdragon it has), so doing something on it doesn’t have that awkward pause that some other watches I’ve tried do, which is great – especially if you’re outdoors like I often am!
I’ve also tried out the sleep recording function – it’s definitely accurate & precise from what I can see – though I’m using it mostly during the day!

The biggest issue I face right now is deciding my favourite watch face.
It’s also really helping me get my minimum 10k steps/day when I’m too busy to go out. It’s been very useful in that respect too.

It isn’t the first time I’ve upgraded to a Ticwatch and it certainly won’t be the last. 10/10.

    It's really, really good!

I have purchased this E3 watch for my wife as I already had a Pro3 LTE and looking forward to see the difference.
At first I enabled all functions (full time smart mode, sleep, WhatsApp, Emails, calls and so on) to see how much would last and, as expected, it hold for about a day and a half. Then I scheduled the watch to stay in Smart mode from 8.00 to 20.00 and Essential Mode from 20.00 to 8.00. I also removed some of the notifications that I didn’t needed and managed to increase the battery life up to 5 days !!! In order to make sure this was not a one off stand-by I delayed this review couple of weeks to make sure the stand by is constant…and it is…I am in the 4th week and yes, I have a 5 day stand-by. This is perfect since we still get the email, messages, calls, activities and so on and not drain the battery in a day or so.
Also, the soft is really good, I didn’t noticed any delay or lag and it feels really nice. We tried the GPS tracking app in a park and was really cool to see the route of all places that we have been in that day.
Over all, my wife is really happy with her new watch and I will definitely keep an eye on Mobvoi new products!!!

    Amazing watch, better than expected!

I wanted a sports and fitness oriented smart watch and this is a brand I trusted. It has all the features I hoped for and plenty more on the Play App Store. A particularly unanticipated and useful feature is Google Translate – its super convenient having that on your wrist! All the sports and fitness functions are there and easy to use – 10/10 for that.

Used heavily the battery stretches out to 3 days, and if just used like a watch then of course more days are possible.

The only thing I could wish for is for it to make cell calls away from the phone – but that would put it in teh 300+ league I guess. And i pretty much always have a phone with me.

I particularly like the fact the strap has a safety tab too, added security useful on a sports watch. It’d be really hard / impossible for it to undo.

I’m a bit obsessed with TicWatch. Their products and support are the best I’ve received, and I’ve bought a lot of tech.

I’ve had the Pro 2020 and the GTH from TW and the E3 sits very well in the middle of these two.

First off, battery life. There’s just no way around it with any smart watch. If you want 24 hour heart rate monitoring, all the notifications on, and use the watch to respond to WhatsApp and emails it’s going to reduce the battery to about 2 days use. Which is fine if you charge overnight.

The thing I like most about the E3 is the essential mode. I’ve been camping all week and forgot my charger. Normally I’d just have to accept that, but with the essential mode switched on it’ll last for weeks without a charge. It still counts your steps and you can easily switch it off if you want to use all the bells and whistles to record your hikes.

It feels a lot smaller than the pro2020 and for someone like me who has spindly little wrists it looks good whereas more chunky watches look silly on me.

Feature wise it’s got everything you need plus some other things I haven’t even worked out yet.

I’ve saved the best til last, and that’s the responsiveness of the touchscreen, my pro2020 had lag, this E3 is so much better and the keyboard is surprisingly usable for messaging. It even comes up with very good autosuggestions after you’ve tapped the first few letters. It’s better than my phone’s gboard which is supposed to use ai to predict.

In summary, it’s the best smartwatch at that price point.

This is a great smartwatch! Have been using it for almost a week now, and loving it so far 🙂

I can’t really find any negative things to say about it yet.

My experience with it so far is as follows…

    – Comfortable to wear, lightweight, but looks/feels like a quality watch.

    – Powerful processor and lots of memory, so beats all other smartwatches I have used up to date in this area. This is a big pro!

    – Have been using it almost a week now and so far battery life is as advertised, up to 72 hours, depending on how you use it. I find if I use it a lot, with all features enabled, then I get around 48 hours out of it. If I disable some of the features I don’t always need/use, use it a bit less, then I can get up to 72 hours out of it. So I’m basically charging it every other day, as I prefer not to let the battery on my devices to get under 20%. On essential mode it hardly uses any battery, so will last many many days if need be.

    – Phonecalls are crisp and clear, both when making and receiving calls.

    – Smooth experience when navigating through the watches menus and when running apps. Experienced no lag or sluggishness at all.

    – Supports the latest WearOS3, so future proof for several year too.

Great smartwatch, comfy, powerful, supports WearOS3

I apsolutally love this watch!!!. Its a good size and the font is easy to read, very responsive to touch and to wake up when you tilt your wrist. There are a vast array of apps for this on Google wear from sleep apps to calculators to watch face apps there’s apps for everyone. The best feature for me is I can see who is calling on the watch so saves me getting my phone out of my pocket all the time plus I can answer the call on this watch so if iv left my phone in the kitchen an I’m in the sitting room I don’t have to miss the call I can just answer on the watch and this feature works great. Iv my Google assistant on my watch too so I can turn lights on or off, or ask Google questions via the watch and again this works great. In fact all the apps I have tried work great via the watch. You can change straps to none ticwatch straps as they are a standard size so ur prety much unlimited as to what watch strap you can buy. The battery life is good iv been getting 4 days out if this which I think is impressive. With this being a ticwatch and not a BIG branded watch like Samsung or Apple I don’t think I’m missing out on anything at all with this much cheeper watch it has all I need an much much more to offer. It will automatically start tracking a run as soon as it detects that you are running and you have a choice of Google fit or TicExcercise to track your fitness both have loads of different workout avaliable. It also has Google pay too which is very useful. Now I have this watch I’m sure I will be using my phone alot less as my agenda, Google assistant, fitness trackers, notifications, messages from various platforms such as Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, text messages can all be read on this watch. It’s fast and very responsive carrys all the info you need i dont think theres anything missing from this watch that i would need or even want to see. Well wourth the money. Thanks TicWatch for a super watch keep up the great work.

    Super watch

    PROCESADOR Y SISTEMA OPERATIVO:

(Adems as, tambin se ahorra batera)
    – Mensajes
    – Tiempo
    – SaludTic
    – Contactos
    – Telfono
    – Alarma
    – Play Store (actualizaciones automticas)
    – PulsoTic
    – OxgenoTic

    – No molestar
    – Modo avin
    – Modo cine

I have been very happy with TicWatch models, and the E3 is no exception. It has a great battery and is very responsive to taps and button pushes. I like that it runs Google’s Wear OS, which gives a larger choice of watch faces and other apps for the watch than I would expect from a company-specific OS. When I used the always-on display (and light daily use) for a full day (for me, about 16 hours) the battery was still at about 50%. It was still at about 70% after a full day with the always-on display turned off. And it only dropped a few % when I left it for 24 hours in essential mode (with no other use).

Compared to the Pro 4G (which is an older model than the Pro 3), my previous watch, the E3 is smaller and lighter. It does not have the bezel with watch numbers that the 4G has, making it feel smoother to do gestures starting at the edge of the screen, and reducing the size. The E3 does have an “essential” mode, but this is different from the 4G’s “essential” mode. The 4G has an additional LCD screen which constantly shows the time in essential mode, which the E3 does not have. Instead, in essential mode, the E3 will turn off the display (and many other functions) to save battery, but the screen will turn on when you tilt your wrist to see the time. The display that is shown is not your selected watch face, but (I assume) TicWatch’s built-in face. When not in essential mode, if the always-on display is turned off, the watch will always display a face when you tilt it toward you, but if you’ve turned off the “Tilt to wake screen” option then the face is the built-in face, and if you have the tilt option turned on, then the face is your selected face. Tapping the face will also turn on the display with your selected face (but not in essential mode). I will say the battery on the 4G seemed better, in that with the always-on display turned on, the 4G is usually at 70% charge at the end of the day, where the E3 was around 50%, with similar usage. But the 4G is a bit bigger and heavier, so that may be the battery. It may also be due to the E3 having more sensors in use.

Whenever I pruchase from ticwatch the quality is always there, and with this new iteration E3 they have delivered once again. I have been having trouble with sleep and the tracker worked a treat for me to exactly explain to my doctor what was going on. Great purchase! Can’t wait for what else they bring out!

I have had 2 Tic Watches previously and am using Tic Watch Pro S currently. I bought this one for my wife. She has used a couple of smartwatches/bands like Amazfit and Mi Band. She wears the watch in a loose position because of this the sensors on her previous watches could not get the reading for her heart rate as well as activity tracking. She has not had any issues with E3. She has been tracking the information on a daily basis and is quite happy with it.
She uses the NFC payments feature on the watch and has had no problems with the set-up or the use.
The App is a bit basic and it could do with more features and for it be more user friendly.
She charges the watch in the morning every day and it has not required any additional charging as off now. We had to play with the settings to disable it from going to the battery-saving screen. The only complaint she has is the size of the screen and the watch but compared to Pro S it is smaller in size. The review is based on our usage of the smartwatch for 10 days. I will try to update the review after 30 days of use.
The watch is quite responsive and the strap is nice to the touch. I am looking to get it for myself once my Pro S decides to pack up.

Great Smartwatch for its price point... Recommended as a starter watch

I’ve loved every single aspect of this watch since the moment I got it. First of all its style. It looks really nice on the wrist and isn’t too bulky like many other watches. It’s also incredibly light. I forget that it’s there most of the time until I get a notification or I need to use it. It never gets in the way.

I have 24hr active heart-rate monitoring turned on where it checks my heart rate regularly and logs it AND I use my watch to control a lot of my smart home devices AND I have the always-on screen turned on…. yet every night it usually has 30-40% battery left still. I have zero complaints about its battery life. It does everything I want it to and has more to spare if I end up staying somewhere else for the night without my charger.

As you can see from the video. The Ticwatch E3 is incredibly snappy. Its processor is clearly doing its job very well and I’m not sure there’s a comparison when it comes to snappiness, at least for Wear OS watches right now. I haven’t noticed any significant slow-downs or any lag when performing functions.

There are many custom watch faces to choose from and I’ve opted for a fairly colourful one as you can see. The NFC works perfectly for Google Pay and it’s been great to be able to go swimming and have a shower with this watch on and not have to worry about it breaking.

All in all, I would highly highly recommend this watch to anyone who wants a small light smartwatch that’s lightning fast with great battery life and some unique features.

I’ve had a number of smartwatches over the years including the original TicWatch Pro and I think it is safe to say that the E3 lived up to and exceeded my expectations.

It is at a reasonable price point; more so when I ordered it from Amazon as there was a discount bringing the price down to 139. The watch face is a bit smaller and lighter than my old TicWatch Pro but a little larger than my Garmin Forerunner 245 (see photo). The battery is decent and can easily last 1.5-2 days in my experience of reasonable use; I turned the exercise tracker on while on a 3-hour walk and it depleted about 35% of the battery.

It has a good collection of sensors that allow for sports tracking including GPS. The heart rate monitoring works reasonable well and gives me consistent readings with other monitors. The underlying WearOS operating system from Google means it works well with Android – I haven’t tried it paired with an Apple device; it also means there is a good selection of apps available. The processor in the watch provides for snappy, responsive interactions with the touch screen. Much more responsive than my old TicWatch Pro.

I’m a fan of smartwatches and I find them to be a good way to minimise the amount I take my phone out of my pocket as I can triage and manage the many notifications that I receive. The ability to give quick responses to messages is really useful. Overall I think the E3 is a really nice, functional, well-priced watch that has a lot of functionality and does all of the key things I want it to do. It has a nice balance of smartphone style apps and sport/fitness functionality.

    Fantastic mid-range smart watch

I have the TicWatch Pro 3 and didn’t think this cheaper version would match up to it’s feature rich younger brother but I was pleasantly surprised. I have been using the E3 for a week now and here is what I think so far.

    Performance:
I haven’t noticed any difference in performance in the day to day use of the watch. Opening and closing apps works smoothly and messages pop up as quickly as my phone displays them. It did stutter with using Ok Google a couple of times but nothing to be concerned about. WhatsApp messages don’t always show on the watch but from what I’ve read that’s more an issue with Wear OS.

    Battery:
So I have had all the sensors on throughout out the week tracking 24 hour heart rate, sleep, TicZen etc and am having to charge every other day which isn’t bad with the amount of data it’s collecting. I could probably squeeze more out of it by turning some of these off but with the essential mode kicking in when the battery is low helps keep the basis working if needed.

    Look & Feel:
So compared to the Pro 3 the look doesn’t go far. The bezel is quite big too but you get used to this. It definitely looks cheaper and more plastic but as a positive feels lighter and fit’s just as well as it’s counterpart.

    Overall:
I’d say to anyone who is looking to invest into a mid range smart watch, definitely consider this as an option. It ticks plenty of boxes and holds up against the top end watches too.

Great budget alternative to the Pro versio

This watch has lots to offer you. As I am existing tic watch 3 Pro GPS an HD Pro user I found even tic watch E3 offers you same features but only difference is battery power still it can last 2 days with all smart features on.

If you are in fitness then it has 100s of sports tracking options just wear and track your workout activities.

It can also track your day today health from sleep to heart beat it covers all the espects.

I think this space won’t be enough for me i can keep going on. If you planning to buy one within your budget then this watch won’t make you sad. I would recommend just go for it.

    Thanks.

I have to admit that I was rather slow to get on the smartwatch train until I developed a health condition that required me to keep an eye on my heart rate. Combined with being curious about my sleep quality/duration I took my friends advice and bought a TicWatch E3.

I have to admit, it’s gone far beyond my expectations – when I bought it I didn’t even know I could wear it while swimming, and being able to use Google Pay to purchase things using contact less is fantastic.
I also love how well it connects to my Samsung S20 apps, including the MediSafe app I use to keep track of when I need to take my medications.

Overall it has been one of my best purchases of the last few years!

I’ve had a couple of Android Wear smartwatches over the years (Moto, Fossil, Samsung) and this E3 has been my favourite so far. I bought this as I’d seen the rumours about it being one of the few devices that would get the new Android Wear / Samsung operating system in 2022 (this still appears to be case) and for the very reasonable price tag.

This is my first smartwatch. For the price, it comes packed with features albeit in a cheaper plastic chassis.
In addition to having all the fitness and well-being tools you expect to find in a more premium model it appears to have hidden capabilities.
The specifications on the website suggest that music and other media can be streamed not stored on the E3. Third party apps proved that you can, even though the amount of space is rather limited. No mention was made of being able to play video. I discovered that you can; at least short 20-30 MB mp4 or ogg theora media. It may not be practical to use this device thus ( it’s a battery killer) but it’s nice to have the option. It also has the capability to read ebooks with file extension .txt.
The device features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor which suggests upgradability to WearOS 3.
A life long lover of mechanical watches, this device has presented me with a compelling case for the smartwatch. The Mobvoi TicWatch E3 has the ticked the boxes in my case.

Inexpensive but packed with features...and some hidden ones too..

    Verpackung:
Soweit so gut.

Zunchst einmal, was das berhaupt bedeutet:
Also im Grunde Herzrythmusstrungen erkennen.

    GPS / Kompass:

For me, this watch (TicWatch E3) does everything I want it to; a flick of the wrist and I can see the time, date and a 3 bar view of the battery life.

Tap the screen and you get the main screen. Swipe up to see notifications, swipe right for Google Assistant. Swipe down for settings, and wipe left for other stuff (I’ve not really looked into whether I can alter that – you get the activity stats, weather , calendar and heart monitor by default).

Top button give you your apps menu, and the bottom button you can configure for sure – I have it set to open Google Pay.

Battery life is better than I expected too, anywhere from 1 1/2 days to over 2 days depending on how much I use it (note: I’ve got ALL the monitors on all the time for this, I could probably get more life if I turned some of them off).

It’s really, really responsive – I forget which CPU it has but it works really well, and the screen gives me no reason to complain.

It is a little thick at about 8mm, but I soon got used to that and I don’t notice anymore; I find it comfortable to wear, other than adjusting the strap from time to time.

I mostly use it for checking notifications, google assistant for home automation and setting timers and reminders etc, Google Pay, as well as Spotify and a couple of other apps that work well (DUO 2FA app being one of them – a bit niche but it works well, for anyone reading who uses it).

In terms of home automation, with no setup I was able to command the various devices I already had apps for on my phone, with just one needing me to grant a new permission. Alexa’s days are numbered for me, I think.

Overall, I think it’s really great for the price.

Lastly… being able to take over and play anything on my mate’s audio system with Spotify from my watch is just priceless 😀

Had it for few months now and it’s reliable watch. Bought it for work and didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a top brand.
Health apps work fine, call quality is good and it’s got all usua functionalities you need.
Battery life similar to my old Samsung watch. It goes on charge every night so no problems with running out of juice.

I really like this watch and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it but you need the correct expectations. If you are someone who is serious about workouts and are looking for a watch that tracks your activity for weeks on end, then this isn’t the watch for you. If, however, you are looking for a smartwatch that you can get up to 2 days use (turn off always on and notifications from apps that you aren’t really interested in) that has really good smart capabilities, then this is really great watch. Tracking is good, is probably higher than the correct numbers, but I wouldn’t expect something this small to be 100% accurate. All in all, a great watch that’s in line for the update and won’t break the bank.

I have been using TicWatch E3 for 9 months now and am impressed by how stylish it looks and the functionality it offers using Google wear OS. Particularly amazing is the having Google Pay (NFC) on the watch and apps like Google Keep, Calm, Spotify and so on. Connectivity is both through Bluetooth connection to the phone and direct WiFi and the watch has its own GPS too. Watch faces are great and generally I like most things about the watch. A good buy for the price point.
On the negatives, there are three niggles that I hope Mobvoi address quickly. 1. The watch seems to have two separate step/exercise counters (likely one by Mobvoi and the other by Google) that are always out of sync – the result being, the essential screen and third-party watch faces show different counts than the native watch faces and phone apps. 2. The battery life isn’t great which means I need to charge every night and thus unable to track sleep regularly. 3. Sleep and exercise tracking isn’t very accurate. Other than that, other slight annoyances are that the watch is very prone to scratches and the silicon strap isn’t great quality/ durability – causes infections with trapped water/sweat and loses colour soon. Also the iOS app lacks functionality compared to the Android one – really leaving only the Apple Watch as a complete smart watch experience for iPhone iOS users with no alternative.

I have been using this wristwatch now for like 3 months and I must say I have enjoyed it pretty well.
I didn’t even realise I can receive calls on it as an added bonus. Honestly, I have enjoyed using it.
A few letdowns and the biggest of them for me as the app is a bit clunky and isn’t smooth with good UX enough for me secondly, the battery life isn’t that great. You defo have to charge daily.
Now, if you can take the pain of charging daily out, Honestly, it does everything very well and you’ll enjoy using it.
Oh did I mention that the sleep tracking feature is amazing? That’s the best for me. I don’t sleep that much but it’s good as the watch does track very well and suggests how much deep sleep I got say in the last 5 hours overnight. That’s so important and impressive to me. Get you one folk.
5 stars is in ordeal? Haha

So good so far but can do bette

Overall I would recommend that watch as function are working well. Very light, like extremely light. The only downside is the battery. Watch need to be charged almost every day.

Having owned the original TicWatch Pro I was really excited to upgrade to the E3.

Compared to my old watch the E3 is miles ahead it’s snappy and responsive, the older pro was always lagged a bit whereas the E3 is smooth and quick to load apps and, most importantly wakes almost immediately as you lift your wrist.

Although a budget wear watch it doesn’t look cheap by any means. The dark grey case looks nice and smart, the screen is nice and smooth to touch and very responsive and the poly-carbonate casing means it feels a lot lighter than the Pro. Although the bezel is a little large for my liking when paired with a darker watch face it’s not obvious and didn’t stand out as much as I thought it might. The supplied silicone wrist band is slim and comfortable enough but I’m not keen on silicone straps so fitted a new metal strap after a couple of days which was a simple process of unclipping the old strap by hand and fitting the new one, no tools needed.

Battery wise I have found that with 24hr Oxygen and Heart-rate monitoring turned on and the automatic essential mode kicking in over night I get 2 full days out of my battery which, although a little less than I’d like is still miles better than the TWPro was when new and seems to be in-line with every other WearOS watch.

Software wise it’s a step above the older TWPro with a much nicer menu layout, you can drag and drop the shortcuts to any position in the menu so the most used ones are at the top which is a step above the older WearOS and I like the being able to automatically turn the essential mode on and off overnight.
Being a new watch on the 4100 processor the E3 is also going to be one of the first on WearOS 3.0 which is another plus.

The only feature I’ve found myself missing from the Pro range is the automatic brightness adjustment, a couple of times I’ve gone outside in the sun and struggled to read the display.
Overall though, for the money I’m very impressed and pleased with my purchase

A smooth running watch with the most recent wear 4100 processo
