So many ways to play with them!
We’ve had these for 18months and they’re still one of my 2 year old toddler’s favourites. They seem pretty simple but actually are so versatile and have been played with in so many different ways as she’s developed. It was initially a motor skills challenge to push them around and get dolphins into rings. She later went through a stage of thinking the sound they make was hilarious. They work well as scoops for pouring – she pours water into the rings, which is still a fair challenge for precision. More recently she cuddles and rocks them, washes their faces, puts them to sleep in a tuppaware box with a flannel for a blanket, etc. she first started colour matching using these and still uses them for naming colours. She makes them jump and swim and chase each other. She can’t yet connect the rings into a chain but is starting to be interested so I’m sure that will come next.

We’ve taken them to the pool and played with them in the garden and they’re used every bath time. They still look almost new – a little sun fade on the rings and one dolphin took on water and now sinks but that’s actually an interesting new way of playing so no problem. No problems with mould either as the air opening is big so they seem to dry out well.

We’ve had various battery-powered bath toys which are always very exciting for a few weeks, but they all seem to eat up loads of batteries and then stop working completely (clogged? I never know). The battery bath toys also usually only have one way of playing. These have been so much better value for us and promote better quality play in my opinion. Recommended!!

    Great toy!
Does exactly what it says: stays stuck to the bath, creates lots of foam (if you put proper bubble bath in it) and has so far lasted us a couple of months without any issues.

    Great bath toy.
Both my 6 year old and 2 year old love it. It’s easy to keep clean too. It’s such fun in the bath, they make Icecream, cappacinnos and magic potions with it. You can use any bubble bath and don’t use a lot, with some water. Brilliant fun.

    Interesting toy
My son got scared when he saw this toy in his bath, but playing with no issues outside the bath. Maybe it was too early for him, he is 1.7 y. But apart from that this toy is interesting to learn numbers and simply to play with it.

    Fun & practical bath toy
Bought this for my great niece.I bought from sentiment, as my son had this bath toy (now 13yo) & loved it.

My son played with this in the bath for several years.
He liked squirting the water & sticking them on the sides of the bath.

We also found on the days he disliked his bath, we cagouled him into having a fun bath as the babies would ” wash” him by squirting.

Mummy octopus also came in very handy to help rinse his hair as the water came out like a wee shower. He detested having his hair rinsed with a jug.

So a fun & practical toy that will create nice bath time memories.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBigger than expected.
The first thing I’ll note is that I’ve said this is good value for money … At the original price of 12 it is not, however there was an issue with my order so I had to cancel and reorder and it was magically reduced to 5! ..for this price it’s definitely worth the money. Especially as my LG loves it.

The toy itself is lovely and colourful, and is much bigger than expected. It’s fairly simple in concept – you fill it with water and when it’s lifted out a kind of ‘ globe ‘ of water comes out of the bottom. There’s also a alien in the front which I think it’s supposed t float when water gets into it but we’ve not really noticed that yet ( we played in shallow water so it wasn’t overly full )

Could be used outside the bath as a simple role play rocket also as it has space inside for toys to sit , which I think is a bonus.

Overall I’d recommend it especially if you have a rocket / space fan .. but I’d recommend looking for / waiting for deals.

Good toy, our little one has lots of fun with these
comes with two warnings: after a while algae will form inside, as with most of these type of toys. Regular cleaning will help delaying it but eventually it will happen. It’s impossible to clean inside, the only thing you can do is hoping that detergent water will kill it and of course, after every bath squeeze all the water out.

And with all babies, our little one loves sucking on them, particular on the whole where the water can be sucked in (and out again). So particular with above mentioned issue (and of course bubble bath or potentially pee in the water) be aware what your baby is sucking on.

    Great spinning toy
My almost 2 year old absolutely loves to spin things, he turns toy cars over to spin wheels, places books on a table to spin it, obsessed with windmills etc so when this toy arrived my son was do excited he was trying to spin it round before it was out of the packaging. We’ve had many bath toys and he bores of them easily, this toy has been a favourite of his though, even out of the bath and stuck to a table has kept him happily occupied. Realy good quality and fun design.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent (bath) toy
Absolutely lovely little bath toy. Stays nice and clean with no mouldy bits. My 13 month old daughter has been using this for 6 weeks now. She enjoys using the detachable orange cup and putting it back in the central part of the blue frame, scooping the water with the orange cup and tipping it on the Toomies or just in the bath! The suction is really good so it stays on the side of the bath despite pulling and tugging.
She also enjoys playing with the toy as a dry toy as the whole thing spins really nicely. She’s dragged it around the sitting room floor and it still looks new.
We’ve also popped it in the water table and she’s played with it in there!

Very versatile toy. Hard wearing. Good quality. Value for money. Engaging and stimulating for baby.

Highly recommended. Good value for money on Amazon compared to other high street prices with the convenience of delivery. Pleased to say it was delivered in an appropriate sized box so little wasted packaging too.

I also bought it as a gift and it was well received. Tomy have it in a box with the product stood up in it which is a little tricky to wrap but looks nice as a gift. The other baby really likes playing with it too!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFABULOUS BATH TOY
My grandson (toy bought when he was aged 18 months) has had endless fun with this lovely toy. He has played with it for over a year. The clever design makes it very versatile and there are no parts to come off. Basically, you fill the rocket with water eg by submerging it in the bath and when you lift it up, the water falls out in a ring shape. Playing with it helped my grandson get over his nervousness of having water splashed on his face. It gave him great scope to use his imagination because he could post various small toys inside it eg mini action heroes, plastic animals and rubber snakes. Sometimes it was a space rockets, sometimes a jail and sometimes a zoo. He’s 3 and still enjoys playing with it. Very easy to clean and to drain dry so no risk of black mould developing inside it. Having seen him enjoy this so much, I bought another for his younger cousin.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBest bath toy I have bough
My kids have a quite a lot of bath toys, this is by far the best! The Island floats and all of the parts have a place. The little octopus squirt water, float and also stick to the tiles and bath (although sometimes they are a bit tricky to get to stick). They are also really soft and squeeze really easy, making them easy to fill with water and spray. I have found that with other bath toys my children have had have been really difficult to squeeze and so my young children have not been able to work them properly. It’s really easy to squeeze the water out of these toys and so I worry less about water getting stuck and causing mould in the toys. The big octopus in the middle has holes in the top, so when you fill it, it’s like a big sprinkler which my kids love. The floating island has numbers on and so do the octopus but the numbers on the island are not clear and so I doubt many children would understand this part of the toy. The only real criticism I have with this toy is that it advertises as helping with ‘shape sorting’ but all of the octopus bases are round and so are the places for them on the island, I therefore am not sure how this teaches shape sorting. However, I really do recommend this bath toy, it encourages different types of play, is colourful and both my children (ages 1 and 2) both enjoy playing with it.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersBaby Octopuses are amazing fun - fact!
This has been a popular bath toy for my son, who has had this for over eighteen months now (since he was 14 months old).

The idea is, this is a mummy octopus, with eight little babies, on a floating island. The ‘mummy’ in the centre is effectively an upturned plastic cup, which is perforated with several holes on the top of here head (i.e. the bottom of the cup), so you can pour water like a cup, or use it like a watering can to sprinkle water more gently – this is great for rinsing shampoo off delicate little heads, well as a fun toy in itself.

The eight little octopuses perch around the edge of the island, all brightly coloured with numbers on the backs of their bodies. Each is unique as well, with sightly different shapes and expressions. Their bases feature suction pads, which work really well to attach to tiles or the sides of the bath. My son loves sticking them on then pulling them off again…..and repeat, etc.Obviously they also float, and you can squeeze them to make a variety of different squeaking noises, but of course their best feature is that you get to squeeze the air out and then push them under the surface to fill with water. And then squirt your child with water, to their ultimate amusement (providing you don’t get them in the eye), but be ready for them to quickly learn the same trick and get you back big time. Over and over again. Very wet bathroom floor. No one to blame but yourself…

There is a downside though, which isn’t unique to this product, but pretty much any plastic toy bath toy like this that features an air hole that allows you to fill it with water. And that’s mould. Even if you squeeze all the babies out at the end of every bath and dry them with a towel, they will still retain a very small amount of water inside, which over time introduces mould inside, which will eventually come out in the bath when squeezing water out. There is of course a theoretical heath risk, but there are products (e.g. Milton fluid) to use to gently but effectively clean them, it just takes a little effort. But it’s well worth it for the collective hours of giggles and smiles that the Octopals will bring.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersBathtime fun with Octopals
My son loves this toy so much, I have purchased them as Birthday presents for his friends. I have used this daily for a month and I have not had any issues with mould. I do however ensure each ‘baby octopus’ is drained of water after each use.

The 12 baby octopuses are different shapes so they offer a different experience to your little one when held. They are numbered 1 to 12 so you child can learn to count whilst having fun. They fill with water easily when squeezed and can be held comfortably by my 12 month old son. To stick them to the bath, wet the sucker and squeeze a little air out before pushing onto the side of the bath/tiles.

The mummy octopus is a floating ‘island’ with 12 sections for the babies to sit, all numbered 1 – 12, which again will assist your child in learning to count. The middle of the island holds the mummy, who’s head is a pouring cup.

I have not given this toy 5 stars as the ‘baby octopuses’ do not stick to the island. I feel this is a real shame and stops a good bath toy becoming a brilliant one. They are easily knocked off when placed on the island when it’s in the water and cannot be stored as pictured when not in use. This has not put me off recommending this to others, just feel it hinders you slightly when matching up the numbers.

We have had so much fun with this toy. My son is less interested in standing/walking up and down the bath when playing with this toy, meaning we do not need to use any other toys during bath time.

I highly recommend! I hope this review was helpful!

    Awesome Toy!
Everyone who complains about mould on their bath toys are idiots- obviously mould will grow in nice moist, dark places- it’s certainly not a default of these squirty squids… You just have to clean them every now and then.

The toys are awesome- I bought this for my daughter when she was 6 months old and she loved having her tummy squirted and every bath time she would attempt to squeeze an entire squid into her mouth (to no avail) and would hum and blow on them.

She is now ten months old and one of her favourite things to do is rip these things off the side of the bath as soon as I stick them on. The big cup in the middle provides heaps of entertainment for her- and all in all- i’d say it’s well worth the buy! I only have one slight qualm with these little squidlets- and that’s the faces on the dark one’s seem to be rubbing off- I think that, sadly, pretty soon they’ll have no eyes.

A fun versatile toy that will make bath time a blas
Both my 17 month old son and my five year old daughter love this toy! Each of the eight characters (my daughter calls them: “the babies”) have a number printed on their side and the eight arms of the green “octopus-like” platform that holds them as well, so it’s a fun way to learn the numbers (and colors since there are two of each color: blue, yellow, orange and pink).

The “babies” are made of soft plastic and have a hole and a suction cup so that you can either fill them with water and squirt it or attach them to the bath tub or tiles. They also have different facial features which is a wonderful detail (you can ask your son/daughter to find “the angry baby” or the “surprised” one for example)

The “mother” character which fits in the middle of the platform is made of hard plastic and has holes in it, as you can observe on the picture. It is also the perfect size to hide one of the smaller characters inside it. My children love to play hide and seek with the babies. You can hide them under other bath toys or behind shampoo bottles, etc.

To finish, a simple suggestion: make sure to empty the smaller characters after each use or the water will “build up” and over time, brownish flakes will come out when you squeeze them.
