This is top class piece of kit. I got it for mixing paint for modelling, and it does this perfectly. It is a hefty piece of kit, which, to me indicated a robust build, and not some piece of cheap plastic.

hubby is an amateur miniature figure painter and he is delighted by this having owned one now for a year plus, it’s still going strong and he says it keeps his paint in perfect condition and mixes back up the most stubborn of settled pigments

Bought for mixing mini paints, vallejo, citadel and spraycans.

Absolute game changer. Brought paints back to life that my arms just could not.

Excellent tool for mixing model paints, managed to revive several that thought were long dead, as well as ones used regularly

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI paint miniatures from time to time. Not very often (Warhammer, I use citadel paints). But sometimes I don’t paint for years. I once lost almost my entire paint collection because it got hard and unusable. My review will be about these paints exclusively.

Since I once had to toss all my paints in the trash, I now try to hand shake them at least once in a while. This took forever, didnt work perfectly, and honestly my arms just got very very tired and I felt like an idiot doing that an evening long. I already used the metal mixing balls, I think those work very well, but even better in the mixer.

This mixer, works like a charm. It arrived earlier today and I’ve already mixed all my paints. Its easy, you will want to take a little break because of how much it makes your hand shake (after 20 paints or so, i have a lot of them, but its so fast and effective you will still save ages of time. I needed way more breaks shaking them by hand and it took at least 10 times as long for a worse effect. The metal mixing balls work great with it too, to mix but also for audio feedback. You can hear by how the balls bounce *(or not bounce) in the jars if the paints are mixed enough. Some paints needed a few more second then others, but I didnt spend much on each jar. Somewhere between 3-10 second depending on how badly they needed it. This includes 2 paints that I had basically given up on because they has partially solidified. They too now look like new. I’m honestly amazed.

I was worried the original citadel jars would be to big, not a problem at all. Only tip I have is don’t press to hard. Gently is enough, let it do the work.

I’m giving it 5 stars for Durability because on day one I cant really test that, but it feels very solid and well build, and showed no sign of slowing down. Its surprisingly well designed and easy to use.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but this product was so good I wanted to share my opinion. Sorry about the length. Highly recommend using this product. I have no experience with competitive products, but there is nothing missing in features in the product for my use, and it feels worthy of the price.

Should have got one years ago. I collect and paint miniature figures and am not able to shake pots as once I did. This tool has resurrected pots of paint that I haven’t used for 7 or 8 years. Lot of money for what it is but I think it won’t take long to get it back by not having to replace separated paint.

Fantastic product, saves ages shaking paints and is effortless. Would recommend one to anyone that paints figures or models.

    Great for mixing miniature paints.

I got this for my acrylic and enamel paints. The vortex it creates mixes the paints well ready for putting through my airbrush. It is expensive though.

Fantastic bit of kit. Will never look back. I use this for mixing paint for miniature painting. What would take 2-3 minutes of hand shaking to get a good mix takes 3-5 seconds sometimes less.

    Brilliant for model paint mixing
    Make paints super smooth
Add a ball bearing to the pot and some thinner and you can revive even old paint..

Note that the vibration is strong so your wrists may feel it if you mix a lot of paints one after anothe

Brilliant gizmo for the lazy painter. Honestly, expensive for what it is so can’t say it’s bang for the buck, but it is just great with sturdy model paints that refuse to mix well.
Would’ve bought cheaper versions but was discouraged by very bad reviews, so after some doubt I just went for it. Don’t regret it a bit.
Seems sturdy enough, has a nice heft to it and doesn’t transmit many vibrations to the work surface. Hope it lasts.

Really solid piece of kit. Does a great job of mixing up my paints and save my arms and wrists no end of work. Quite pricey for what it is, but if it lasts as well as good sturdy it feels then I’ll certainly get my money’s worth out if i

I ordered this after buying a cheaper option. That one was an abject failure. This is the complete opposite. Well made, sturdy and powerful. Just what I needed for giving my paint pots a good shake.

I knew this was the type of product I wanted but wasn’t sure if the cost was worth it. How wrong could I have been. I use it several times a day to mix my acrylic paints. Simple to use and in only a few seconds the paint is thoroughly mixed leaving no pigments sitting on the bottom of the bottle. Sturdy design and just the right size for what I want.

Item arrived promptly and well packaged. To be honest when I opened the package I was surprised at its size expecting it to be a little larger. That said it is a solid piece of kit and clearly well made.
I bought it to mix model paint and I can honestly say it’s brill.
Simple to use, you just hold and apply slight pressure to the silicone top part of the unit and next minute your paint is fully mixed and ready to go.
Not cheap, there are other less expensive units available however I’ve got to say I’m impressed with its ergonomic, design solid construction and speed of mixing.

I’m using this to shake up my hobby paint pots and adding a ball bearing to the pot as well does a great job of mixing the paint. Adding thinners also works great . Bit worried that the rubber top has marked up pretty grubbily with whatever the pots have been coated with but giving it a quick wipe with a damp tissue cleans it. Definitely saves time and revives old paints.

Using it for paint mixing (mostly citadel) and it works like a charm. Can fix most paints that aren’t corax white.

For lab use it only holds one single max speed which is way too much for many samples.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very high quality vortex mixer from “Four E’s”. I’m an artist and use bottles of paint and ink of various consistency and this makes mixing them very easy. The machine is heavy enough to be stable during use and has an adjustable speed control. Some paints are nearly impossible to mix by shaking them by hand but as little as 5 to 10 seconds on the vortex mixer gets them thoroughly mixed. I was hesitant before purchase but this has greatly exceeded all expectations. A must-have for serious artists.

I got this to shake up my warhammer paints. It works flawlessly. It may be a bit expensive but I think it’s worth it.

As a plus side my girlfriend likes using it to shake up nail polish!

It is well made and feels quality.

    Happy with my purchase!

Great addition to a scale modeler but it’s one of the not necessarily crucial luxury goods for the hobby.
Still, I’m very happy I bought one. Often paints like Ammo by Mig or Vallejo tends to separate in the bottle and shaking them by hand can be quite difficult even with a stirring metal ball in the bottles. With this it’s easy. It works best if the paint bottle contains a stirring ball.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI was seriously considering throwing away eleven different colours and replacing with new pots when I stumbled across this gadget on a tabletop painting site.
Arrived today and wow it’s worth every penny.
Just 15 seconds to remix some of the contrast paints like Militarum Green and shades like Agrax Earthshade that tend to settle out.
Nihilakh Oxide and Typhus Corrosion took around 10 seconds.
Pale colours that separate out badly like Rakarth Flesh, White Scar and Pallid Wych Flesh took around 30 seconds.
Anyone who has ever used Citadel’s metallic paints will know just how much time and effort it takes to remix a pot by shaking, even with a mixing ball in the tub and especially the copper shades. I had a tub of Screaming Bell that was badly separated when I bought it and I’ve never ever managed to thoroughly mix. I always ended up with streaks of pink and silver. I’d actually given up on using it and stuffed it in a drawer for 3 years. Took a few minutes to get it thoroughly mixed but so easy to do. Auric Armour Gold, Retributor Armour, Skullcrusher Brass and Warplock Bronze took around a minute from completely separated to ready to use.
It even works on Technicals like Stirland Mud, Martian Ironearth, Mordant Earth and Astrogranite Debris
Works on full pots right down to almost empty. It mixes lumps back in no problem.
Not particularly noisy, similar to an electric toothbrush.
High vibration so don’t try to use it to do your entire paint collection in one go or your fingers will be buzzing for hours.
High cost ? Not when you think of the value of your paint collectio

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI build and paint model soldiers, aircraft and AFV’s. For years I did what everyone else does and I stirred my paint with a stick or added a ball bearing and and gave it a mighty shake! As my acrylic paints have aged its been harder to get them mixed properly, so I started to look at paint shakers.

The best I looked at are about 1/3rd the price of this one, so given the price difference I read the user reviews. Not decrying the others but the Touch Mode Paint Mixer consistently got top marks, and in several reviews was always in the top 5 paint shakers available. I was reticent because of the price, but with lots of painting to do over lockdown, I decided that if ever there was a time to buy one, this was it.

I’ve used it every day for the last 9 weeks and it is superb!

Literally, take it out our the box, plug it in, took me 60 seconds to work out how to shake paint and I was away. It lives on the corner of my work bench in arms reach, and is now essential to the hour or so I take daily for modelling.
Top build quality, stable as it has lots of feet, powerful and easy to use, it has improved my painting immeasurably because now I’m using properly mixed paint.

I told two of my mates about it and they’ve each bought one, and are as delighted with this now essential tool as I am. 10/10.
ps my wife has discovered it and now uses it to shake her nail varnishes, even she rates it 10/10!

This item works well, but I still needed to add a ball bearing to the paint bottle in order to get a good mix. For what it is, the price of nearly 100 is frankly ridiculous, as all the vortex mixer includes is a little electric motor and a weight that causes it to move in an eccentric arc. Although it is very effective, it should only cost 20 max for what it is.

for me this product is well worth the money. Rather than shaking the bottle for 5 mins to fully mix the pigment in my paint, this product works in about 20 – 30 seconds.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI use this as a paint mixer where it outperforms the’nail varnish’ type shakers. I have mainly Games Workshop paints, that I have transferred into dropper bottles and added steel shaker balls, even the thick base paints are mixed in seconds. The mixer arrived quickly and well packaged with everything you need get going. Whilst it is about twice the cost of the Robard shaker it is much faster and quieter, with hardly and noise at all. Also due to its rubber feet the vibration is hardly passed on to the table it’s sat on.

I Bought this mixer to mix up model acrylic paints which it does very well..
The paints have a habit of separating if left for a time. A few seconds mixing on the vortex mixer and they are ready for use again.
Expensive but so are the paints, so worth it in my opinion..
